Vorteile:
Runs on VMWare. Easy to configure. SSL offloading works great. Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing both work very well. We didn't have success with session stickiness with a couple of the other load balancers we tested. Was one of the main factors we chose the product. Support has been very good. Have not had a single failure of the software in over 4 years.
Nachteile:
NIC assignment on the VM host machine is not very clear. The last update we pushed broke all of our configs and we had to recreate manually.

We have been using Load Balancer Enterprise ADC in medical IT for several years. Reliability, stability and load balancing are important points in a modern IT infrastructure. Load Balancer Enterprise ADC was easy to implement. The support responds quickly and competently. I can highly recommend the product.
Nachteile:
I haven't seen any disadvantages so far.

Hi Lutz, Thanks very much for the review, and feedback. We really appreciate the partnership we've managed to build with Fujifilm and other medical imaging providers over the last few years. It's often about people and processes rather than just the technology.
Support is everything...
Kommentare: My overall experience has been positive, I'm impressed with the product as a replacement for Netscaler load balancers. It costs much less, the support is much better, and it has done it's job almost perfectly.
Vorteile:
I like it's simplicity and the support. I worked with NetScaler for a good majority of my career and switching for loadbalancer.org has been the best decision for my organization. The support is always fast and good.
Nachteile:
I honestly can't think of a cons at the moment; maybe just improve abilities to do more with ACL rules, like for instance create the ability to block by source domain; rather than just IP.

Vorteile:
The Technical support is excellant, i had difficulty during a clients online upgrade of an enterprise VA Max Slave HA loadbalancer, I spoke to them uploaded support files and they provide me with a number of options to complete the upgrade. The upgrade is now complete and just needs downtime to failover and upgrade the Master appliance Thanks, great service as always
Nachteile:
online upgrade has a few gotchas, but works if you follow the guidelines completely - disable any screen saver or anything that could move you off the upgrading web page

Hi John, Sorry to hear that you had trouble with the online update. It's definitely caused some pain for our customers in the past. However we've recently made a lot of improvements including roll-forward updates, automated snapshots and rollbacks for when things go wrong. But we're aware that we still have work to do. Like automating upgrades through our vendor neutral ADC Portal. Thanks very much for being a customer and keep the feedback coming!

Hi Reagan, Thanks very much for the feedback. Yes, the reload prompt can be a bit annoying. I'm not sure if you already know, but the reload is designed so that it can be performed after multiple changes, and it is transparent i.e. never causes downtime. Maybe we need to make that more obvious with the prompt description? Thanks again for your feedback, it's much appreciated.
