What I like the most is the possibility of being able to help many people through Bloomerang since many times it is more difficult to do this type of activities on my own, it is a very simple way with a few clicks without much effort

Nachteile:

I have nothing to say that I don't like about it, so far it has been a good help program

Bloomerang is great!

Kommentare: Bloomerang is a robust, affordable donor management software that is easy to implement and has a lot of great features such as dashboards, reporting, search functions. communications and donor research.

Vorteile:

Bloomerang is easy to use, reports are easy to build, donations are easy to enter and donors are easy to manage. Bloomerang provides free trainings that are very useful and can be shared with your team based on function and need, as well as excellent customer service and support.

Nachteile:

The only thing I'd like is to be able to download letters in word format rather than PDF as we often will make minor edits to personalize.

A good CRM for Donor Management

Vorteile:

Library of resources, trainng was solid, good knowledge-base.

Nachteile:

Coming from Little Green Light, I was a little overwhelmed. Not the prettiest of CRM's, could use better integrations.

Bloomerang Review: Great for Donor Management and Reporting, but Customization Could Be Better

Kommentare: Overall, my experience with Bloomerang has been positive. The software is user-friendly and offers great tools for managing donors and tracking fundraising efforts. It’s especially strong in its reporting and analytics features. However, the limited customization options might be a drawback for some organizations.

Vorteile:

What I really like about Bloomerang is how easy it is to use. Its dashboard gives you a clear view of donor engagement and fundraising performance, which makes tracking and improving your efforts straightforward. The reporting tools are also very handy for analyzing your data and making smart decisions. Plus, their strong customer support and training resources make sure you get the most out of the software.

Nachteile:

One thing I found less appealing about Bloomerang is that its customization options can be somewhat limited. It might not offer as much flexibility for tailoring features to very specific needs as some other platforms do.

It Sure Beats Home-grown

Kommentare: As per the title of this review, Bloomerang replaces software that I and a few other volunteers wrote and used over the last 3 decades. Bloomerang is web-centric; ours wasn't. Bloomerang handles backups; ours didn't. Bloomerang handles security and bug fixes and support; we no longer have to. Bloomerang is sustainable; our home-grown approach was on life support. It was a lot of work to move into the Bloomerang world, but it's now paying off.

Vorteile:

Bloomerang has all the pieces we need to manage donors and donations. The customer support is superb. While the FAQs and help pages solve most problems, the phone support is better than most software firms.

Nachteile:

Any time new software comes along, the way the authors view the world is different than what users have been doing. It takes a while to get the new gestalt.

Bloomerang is great!

Kommentare: We are able to keep better track of our donors using this software. We have had a positive experience with Bloomerang and have already recommended it to others! I have been in my position 24 years and have gone through many different types of software and by far, this one is the BEST!

Vorteile:

The software is easy to learn and use. Training on the product was thorough. Customer support has been helpful when it is needed. You can tell Bloomerang wants the user to be happy!

Nachteile:

There isn't really anything I don't like. Just a little inconvenience on the input side...when adding a new donor with a spouse, you have to set up two accounts, join them together as a family. Too many steps! It isn't a deal breaker though!

An excellent software for the money.

Kommentare: From start to finish Bloomerang is an excellent software. Customer support is highly responsive, training is extensive and free, handles event tracking, grant tracking, major gift fundraising, contact management, donor segmentation, reporting and filtering, mobile app, and integrates with multiple third-party apps. The user interface is sleek and graphic-heavy. Constituent and gift visibility is superb.

Vorteile:

Donor retention, donor cultivation, moves management, strategic plan goals and the ability to track progress against goals. Ease of use, graphical user interface is colorful and elegant. Displays highly useful information right where you need it.

Nachteile:

They Bloomerang customer support team and the tech team are very responsive and always making improvements based upon customer feedback. One niggly problem is that you cannot email to multiple email addresses for a given constituent. You can store them, but it will only email to the primary email. Also, you can't report on and download multiple emails for a given constituent. With many married couples who are together in a single record (not a household) there are often several different emails.

Bloomerang is an excellent donor management tool

Vorteile:

Ease of use; the user interface is very intuitive so you can navigate and explore without lengthy tutorials and training.

Nachteile:

To update a donor’s profile, I have found it difficult to find what to click on to add a family member, to view notes on their donor story and giving history, or to mark them as deceased. That part I wish it was easier to locate.

Hard to Use and Expensive

Vorteile:

I liked that there was an easy way to assign tasks to users.

Nachteile:

The system was very clunky and not intuitive. It was expensive for us to keep bad data and we ended up switching to a platform that offered everything that Bloomerang did for less.

unfortunate experience with customer service

Kommentare: I am not happy with my experience and would not recommend it.

Vorteile:

the person who recommended it to us was friendly and personable.

Nachteile:

they could not keep track of our customer account, and when I personally set up a debit account and wanted to terminate it, they were unable to do so.

Simple and Intuitive

Kommentare: Overall, I am very satisfied with the conversion to Bloomerang and am thankful for a product that has helped me and my team be more productive.

Vorteile:

We switched to Bloomerang about 3 years ago and have not regretted this change. Bloomerang is very simple and easy to learn and use.

Nachteile:

Would be nice if we could have the opportunity to customize the home page more with the use of widgets.

Great tool with ease of use

Kommentare: We are so happy with Bloomerang that we have no plans to perform an RFP to look at other platforms.

Vorteile:

Bloomerang is a great tool to manage our donor interactions, gifts, preferences, and fundraising efforts. We love the task and note functions as it reminds us when we need to follow-up with a donor and gives us the ability, in one central location, to make notes on how we have completed the task or any other communication with the donor.

Nachteile:

It is a bit tricky to import our direct mail sends into Bloomerang. The first time I did it I wiped out the whole system, but luckily support got me back up and running asap.

Ineffective CRM - Steer Clear

Kommentare: Do you due diligence - we wasted our precious resources of time and money on Bloomerang. They have refused to give us any portion of our money back despite not even getting to a live stage. Bloomerang's failure to provide what we were promised is incredibly disappointing and I hope that this review will help ensure no one else is as negatively impacted as we are. Bloomerang is not a non-profit - and they are willing to take from them.

Vorteile:

Website presence is impressive - BUT you don't have to be a customer to take advantage of the research and information.

Nachteile:

Everything about Bloomerang was problematic once we committed to the contract and paid in full. The simplified platform was met just as equally with a terrible onboarding process that involved a painful weekly meeting with little progress. Our sales contact did not return calls or emails and we were supposed to be guided by a project coordinator/manager who did not know the platform himself. We heard "My job is only to get the data over. You will have your other questions answered in the next stage." The inherent problem with that is that we consistently found data fields missing even though we gave complete access to our current database. They could have easily looked at records to determine what was missing. We never even got to the stage of working with the data.

Non-profit language and cultural organization

Vorteile:

As an all-volunteer organization we like the ease of use and on-going webinars which help us advance our utilization of the system and integration with other systems and processes. Customer support is very responsive and effective.

Nachteile:

At this point in our integration, we have not seen anything we don't like about Bloomerang.

Good investment!

Vorteile:

I enjoy the newsletter/correspondence functionality of the program

Nachteile:

It takes a bit to figure out (the Names formal informal etc.)

Excellent Product!

Kommentare: Overall, very happy with Bloomerang.

Vorteile:

Love, love, love Bloomerang. I have used many other databases, and the ease of use is incredible. When I do hit a roadblock I just call customer care and they walk me through it.

Nachteile:

Not thrilled about MailChimp (would prefer Constant Contact). Too few fonts, can't customize as much as I would like. The setup for letters is not the best. Hard to make the letters look centered on the page (huge margin on the bottom, so everything is stuck near the top). Would like more flexibility with creating the letters.

Ease of Use

Kommentare: I am a fairly new user and have no previous experience with this type of software. However, I had 20 years in the medical field and this reminds me of an EMR. Very easy to navigate through and manage data.

Vorteile:

I work for a very busy small nonprofit. Between the ease of use and the fabulous tutorial videos I was able to basically teach myself how to use Bloomerang. Overall, I think this is a great program and I look forward to learning additional tips and trick so I can use it more efficiently.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if Bloomerang allowed entries for households with more than one donor to share the same profile, while still being able to differentiate the specific donor. When we run mass mailings we find we have to meticulously comb over our labels to look for duplicates.

Poor experience all the way around

Kommentare: Very poor. We tried to get out of our contact early on because we knew what we were in for. We should have just counted it as a loss and moved on.

Nachteile:

The ease of use was awful - we tried to run our first campaign out of it but we had several people choose to not participate because of the difficulty of setting up a donor pageThe biggest issue was that they shut off our donation capabilities (without telling us) on Giving Tuesday. They said that they blocked fraudulent payments so they did their job. We missed out on funds that we cannot recover and they still believe they did the right thing.

Pleasing interface

Vorteile:

In addition to the services, they also offered tips and tricks for the non profit sector. That was cool!

Nachteile:

When we found a cheaper alternative that did all the things Bloomerang did and more, we switched providers.

Bloomerang is great Useability

Kommentare: I thoroughly enjoyed using it because all of the items included were very useful and provided a lot of great advancements for our team.

Vorteile:

The software was very intuitive to use out of the box and was very sleek looking.

Nachteile:

The excel integration left items to be desired for the purposes of financial information and donor tracking.

Very User Friendly

Kommentare: The customer service is the best thing about Bloomerang. The help staff - via chat - have answered everyone of my questions professionally, kindly, thoroughly, and are enthusiasticly supportive when I figure out a difficult spot with their help.

Vorteile:

The layout is clear, clean & simple, the whole program feels very intuitive, and it is overall user-friendly.

Nachteile:

It was tricky to get the donation page on our website, and the photo did not come out sharp even though it was a crystal clear picture.

Best for Non-profit organizations

Vorteile:

it's easy to operate particularly for fundraising programs and it has the option where you can reply to all to all donations

Nachteile:

Customer service takes time to respond to questions/issues

Bloomerang Evaluation

Vorteile:

Bloomerang offers a great deal of features and is easily customizable. The customer service experience has been outstanding. I started my job a few days prior to the pandemic closing everything down. The online team was amazing at helping me run vital reports, especially the first three months. They are incredible and I am so appreciative of their patience and assistance.

Nachteile:

Reporting in Bloomerang is complex, with the number of filters and varying functionality. Therefore, the learning curve is steep to understand the way all the filters work. Previously, I mentioned our issue with soft credit reporting. Bloomerang needs to develop a screen checkbox option with three choices when entering a donation: Report on soft credit donor, report on hard credit donor, or report on both. With the rise in donor advised funds and FaceBook fundraisers, this would greatly enhance Bloomerang's marketability. Although you an report on soft credits, if you want detailed reports it's cumbersome. I often find I have to create two reports and reference one report to obtain all the information I need. In some cases, Bloomerang was unable to list information I wanted for soft credit donors and I had to do things manually. I am never 100% confident in soft credit reporting and spend a lot of time double checking things. We have a high percentage of donors who give through donor advised funds and Facebook Fundraisers, so this is a huge issue for our organization.
