Kommentare: CounSol's customer service is amazing. My rep gets back with me same day, usually within minutes via phone or email. There are suggestions I have made that end up being implemented. They are always striving to improve features.
Vorteile:
It is most helpful to reduce administrative tasks. Reminder phone calls, cards saved on file, filing and billing made easy, clients self scheduling, etc.
Nachteile:
There are things I feel could be streamlined and also would like to see more variety in the reports that are available.
CounSol for 11 years: great from individual therapist to group practice
Kommentare: My overall experience is good enough that I have remained a CounSol user for 11 years. I started as an individual practitioner and have grown a group practice, all with CounSol.
Vorteile:
I find that CounSol is unique in having a dedicated customer service helper who responds incredibly quickly. I like how we can create as many of our own forms as we want, and all of the features for assigning forms and documents. I really like the transparency of cost, and since we don't pay per client, it is very cost effective for a growing practice. Our clients love the client portal, and we find the journal system a helpful feature as well, especially for clients who want to be in touch without having to respond (we respond to messages). We like the portal for our email with clients. The billing system works very well too. I guess we pretty much like everything.
Nachteile:
I think CounSol has a dated appearance (skin), however the features are so good, and the look is easy to navigate.

Kommentare: Overall, I can navigate the platform, and I truly appreciate the array of options. It has all the features I desire & even more. Perhaps as I continue to learn more about it, it’ll be more easily accessible for my needs.

I appreciate the array of options that are offered. I see the benefits of having such things as journal, billing and payments for the month. These features are amazing for the therapist as well as for the clients.
Nachteile:
It can be very challenging navigating the system. After using it a while, I am challenged how to access tabs the most efficiently way. Additionally, it would be amazing to have an app for this platform. Lastly, I’d love to be able to offer the link to multiple clients who are not in the same location.

Overall, the experience has been positive but I would like to see more features and updates for client and clinician experience.
Reviewing the guide, making changes to my practice documentation, etc., takes a lot of dedicated time, which I don't always have. This is somewhat tedious and challenging for those of us who aren't versed in building all of the forms from scratch.
I'm grateful for the built-in e-signature feature.
Vorteile:
I appreciate the LIVE customer support (WITH AN ACTUAL HUMAN) of my account manager, which has helped me easily navigate the platform when stuck. The account manager has been consistently readily available and responsive, and they're generally very patient and helpful. The user guide is also an excellent resource.
Nachteile:
I wish the platform had more offerings to enhance the client and provider experience, such as https://www.teleo.space/ or note designer. Partnerships like this would be ideal. I don't particularly like the treatment notes template; I would like one similar to Notedesigner, for example, with more options for the sentence completion and treatment modalities etc. I would also like to see mini-tutorials on using the platform most efficiently. Sometimes, I don't always have the time to look through my user guide. For example, if I want to send an announcement to certain clients but not all, how do I do that? I also wish I could include hyperlinks in my documents when sending to clients. In addition, having a 'schedule send' option for emailing clients and sending out pre-scheduled announcements about any of my practice changes or new services would be an excellent feature. Having my clients recieve notification of my social media or new posts from my website via CounSol is another missing feature that would enhance client engagement, retention and education too. The client view of the platform: While I appreciate how the colors are similar to my website, it looks dated and could use sharper, more updated, professional and modern visuals to enhance the client experience.

Love the ease and customer service
Kommentare: I have no intention of changing EHR's. I have used quite a few over the years and really like the ease of this platform. I like being able to contact someone if I have issues and the help section is very helpful.
Vorteile:
I have a customer service person I can email at anytime that I am having an issue and have a question. When I first started, he was getting daily emails as I was learning the software. Now it is occasional as I know the program after 3 years but still he he answers all questions quickly. I like that I can use Counsol on every platform and it is adaptable for my practice needs. I do like the email portion, that it has an integrated televideo platform (not the best with iffy internet) and integrated billing/insurance claims
Nachteile:
The clearinghouse is Ally and they have a smaller portion of the insurance market. I can still submit claims but have to pay $35/month if more claims submitted to non-participating vs participating insurances. I do a workaround by creating paper claims in Counsol and use portals such as Availity or directly to Optum. The billing portion took me longer to learn and still have some issues with that but that is input error not programing.

Great Customer Service
Kommentare: I have been with Counsol.com for over 10 years now and it has always worked and got the job done. I wish that as technology has grown there were more webinars or trainings on how to use the software more effectively and that the notes temples were included like it is in other software programs. When ever I need something the customer service is quick to help and love my problem. This customer service is what has kept me all these years.

I like the way that it keeps everything in one place and is very user friendly for my clients
Nachteile:
That the video software included does not allow for group sessions, with the technology available today I think this is a huge inconvenience and makes the software less functional for my practice needs.

Kommentare: I have no complaints, and my experience with CounSol has been great! I enjoy the personalized feeling, not feeling like we are just a number. Our account manager has been with us every step of the way since we started our company. His support provides a peace of mind in knowing CounSol is dependable, reliable, and worth every penny.
Vorteile:
CounSol is cheaper than Simple Practice. Having an account manager is so helpful! Whenever we have a question or need to upload a new file, we send it to him, and he gets it done within hours. What I love the most is the ability to customize forms, assessments, and files. The organization ability within CounSol also makes it easy to find files and forms. Also, the client portal through CounSol is also easy to navigate and helpful for client's to retrieve forms and documents.
Nachteile:
I don't have many cons—it's hard to think of them. But one that pops up is offering more formatting options depending on the form being completed. Another is offering the ability to rearrange folders more simply, rather than having to move them up or down one at a time.

Vorteile:
Although it took some time to set up, my favorite thing about CounSol is the customizability of the platform. It really gives you a very easy way to house and manage everything for your practice including intake forms, uploaded patient documents, notes, etc. I also like the user-friendliness of the platform. I have a virtual admin and they say that it's one of the easiest EHR's to use right away.
Nachteile:
The thing that I like least is just that it takes some time to customize things. It's not a horribly negative thing, but there is a bit of a curve to making the custom forms I needed. Once I did, it was not an issue. And my assigned IT person made it really easy to resolve any issues. He been helpful and very accessible.

Far Exceeds the Rest!
Kommentare: I have zero complaints and they never have any downtime.
Vorteile:
I love the personal touch and having LIVE customer service, unlike almost all other counseling EHR services that you find out there.
Nachteile:
I really have not found much that I do not like about Counsol. The only thing that I can think of that I have not had luck with is getting them to add a fee so I can recoup clients that use a credit card. being a realist, I know this takes effort in programming so it is not that big of a deal.

Nachteile:
Would like to see forms added PHQ-9, and other free screenings/scales for anxiety, depression, and Edinburg Postnatal Depression scale. The price.
CounSol User and Administrator for over 2+ Years
Vorteile:
The reports it can generate; efficient and fast customer service; appointment scheduling; houses billing needs and provides superbills to clients under their own portal.
Nachteile:
I have had a negative experience in the recent year or so with CardConnect customer service. When I first began using CounSol as a business owner (5+ years ago), the customer service was excellent and it was easy to see why CounSol would partner with CardConnect. In the last year, I have had to call as a result of not receiving payouts for the merchant processor. In these calls, it's loud and the representatives do not speak English well which complicates resolving problems and communicating those problems efficiently. They basically repeat everything I say then put me on hold. It's a lengthy process and, each time I ask why the money was not deposited, they do not provide an answer - it's hard to tell if this is because they do not know or if it's because they are not sure how to communicate that. It makes me unhappy to feel like I can't trust that the deposits will be made.

I want clients to be able to upload documents in attachments under Counsol. It would also be nice if you could send messages to more than 1 client at a time. For example, when I have 2 parents that I need to communicate the same message to.

Marking clients as related in the system would allow you to send messages to multiple individuals at one time. Please contact your account manager for further instructions. We appreciate your review!
Lot of Bang for your Buck
Kommentare: Very satisfied. Used with my old practice and there wasn't any other option for me when I started my current practice.
Vorteile:
CounSol offers the best customer support with your own personal rep who responds to your needs in a very timely manner. The FAQ section is filled with lots of information to help with whatever you need.
Nachteile:
The duplicate claims that get filed without biller creating them.

Counsol Review
Kommentare: Customer service is top notch and there whenever I have a need/concern fixed. Easy to use and payments are seamless with Square.
Vorteile:
Easy to use, clients find the portal super user friendly and can come back and complete new forms as needed/complete their own payments. Reminder texts are standard and helpful as well as payment through Square is seamless.
Nachteile:
The main payment option that Counsol uses is very shady and put unnecessary charges on my account and their customer service was less than stellar. Switching to Square was the best move I could have made. Square should be the main option for payment collection.
Practice management
Vorteile:
What I like most about council.com is that it is highly encrypted and that you can actually type your notes while you’re in session with a client that saves hours of time.
Nachteile:
What I liked least was to having to enter all of my forms manually into the system that may have changed now however, once everything was entered, was very easy to use from that point

Kommentare: I have been impressed with the customer experience as well as how much I love working with this program.
Vorteile:
I love how easy and user friendly the program has been. i looked at several EMR programs and nothing compares to CounSol.
Nachteile:
The program isn't always easy for clients to access information and i wish it would be more functional for my clients as it is for me.

Visually, I find it very easy to find everything and navigate my portal. I also appreciate that my rate is locked in and won't change. The customer service is unparalleled (shout out to [sensitive content hidden]!).

I loved the ease of this EHR service. Whenever I had a problem on my end, such as wanting the service but needing to go part time, their customer service and flexibility was amazing. I felt like I was dealing with people who cared.

Vorteile:
I chose CounSol over other highly rated EMR/EHRs due to the ability to speak to a support person who helped load customized intake forms into my system! I also chose CounSol over others because of the ease of navigation of the User Guide and how thorough it is. I was able to set-up my system relying on this guide including uploading treatment worksheets for each progress note session where this was applicable.
Nachteile:
Some of the major Mental Health treatment approaches are missing from the listed interventions list on the progress note template such as IFS (Internal Family Systems) or Sensorimotor and there is no fillable "other" button to add these in. I incorporate this in my intervention note section.
