Beyond Impressed

Vorteile:

While the platform and functionality is great -- and performs every function we ever needed...and even some we didn't realize we needed until we already had them! -- it's really the outstanding customer service that brings MediaValet to the next level. We had high expectations going into our work with MediaValet, and not only have they been met but they've been exceeded beyond anything we could have imagined.

Nachteile:

We haven't had any problems at all at this point. The biggest drawback that I could possibly think of is the time difference between ourselves and our contact at the company, but he's never let that be an issue and we've had seamless and exceptional customer service at every turn.

Fred Rogers Productions - Three Years with Media Valet

Kommentare: We had a frustratingly bad DAM which made us appreciate Media Valet even more. The site is intuitive and the staff is accessible.

Vorteile:

Their Customer Success people have helped us get the most out of our DAM.

Nachteile:

Nothing immediately comes to mind. The site is rarely, if ever not accessible.

Search Function

Vorteile:

Well I like that I am able access intern content especially pictures easily.

Nachteile:

I find that the searching function isn´t working propaly and I am not able to find what I am searching for quicly.

We love MediaValet!

Kommentare: I've had a lovely experience working with and using the MediaValet platform. Our internal team has an easy time using the DAM, while our partners love receiving our branded portals. It makes sharing assets a smooth process for all who are involved.

Vorteile:

How easy it is to keep all of your assets organized.

Nachteile:

Honestly, there isn't anything that comes to mind.

Intuitive navigation

Kommentare: It's been an easy transition from my previous DAM to MediaValet.

Vorteile:

MediaValet is very easy to navigate, and intuitive to learn. One of the features I like the most is the ability to save individual files to multiple categories, rather than having to upload them several times to individual files.

Nachteile:

I think the color scheme makes some of the functions hard to see.

A Necessary Tool

Kommentare: Overall, MediaValet has been a fantastic and necessary tool to organization our companies digital assets. I wish I had more time to discover and implement all of it's capabilities.

Vorteile:

There are lots of organizational and customizable options available making it easy to create options that work for your company.

Nachteile:

The search engine needs some fine tuning. Infrequent users that don't know the inventory well often are unable to track down what they are looking for. Hopefully the AI implementation of visual recognition will help with this in the new Hot DAM. I would also love the option to upload associated assets that DO NOT show in a search. We have editable files that we don't want everyone to easily access.

Easy to use, easy to customize

Kommentare: Overall, I would easily recommend MediaValet to anyone who is looking to take on a Digital Asset Management system.

Vorteile:

We appreciate that MediaValet makes organizing and accessing our images and videos a breeze. The new AI features as well have really added to our ease of access for finding specific images. Also, the ability to create custom templates to download images in different resolutions and dimensions is fantastic.

Nachteile:

I know that it is just in BETA, but the UI between the classic version of MediaValet and the new AI powered HOTDAM is too different that it causes issues for users to re-adjust their understanding of the platform

This site has helped me with my job more often times than I can count. I like the ease of use it is to utilize this site and I like how there's different options to make what I'm looking for easier, such as filters and a detailed view. I will continue using this since it's such a breeze. Thank you!

Sometimes there too specific of a search I can enter, but nothing really!

Kommentare: Honestly, I only use this for work, but it's pretty easy to use and one of the least annoying programs/sites I use

This is our first and favorite DAM

Kommentare: We historically used Google Drive for all of our media storage with is wholly inadequate. By moving over to Media Valet, we are able to store a single high resolution image that can be downloaded or shared to any specification. We are working on an integration with Wagtail, our CMS, that will allow us to pull images directly into our website.

Vorteile:

We have historically stored all of our images on Google Drive and recently moved everything over to Media Valet so it is hard to say just one thing that I like the most. The most valuable feature is that we now have a single source of truth for all of our images rather than several versions stored across several folders. When we share images with media or other users, we can share them in a format of their specification without duplicating or editing the original image. It is simply amazing.

Nachteile:

I was pretty excited about the potential to use the branded portals but discovered that they are fairly inflexible. You can not include descriptions for the images in the gallery view and can not create any dynamic sections. I was optimistic that we would be able to use this feature to showcase galleries of images but it will not work for us for that use.

Great concept

Kommentare: Overall my experience has been positive and I like MediaValet. I think more education for the people adding the materials could be beneficial, but that is not the fault of the product.

Vorteile:

I love the concept of MediaValet. Having all of our approved and correctly-branded materials in one place makes it so much easier for users of the materials to know where to find marketing materials and know we are using the most up-to-date items.

Nachteile:

I think it's a mix of how our company is using the metadata (not as well as we could) and the search function of MediaValet. When I perform searches I can occasionally get way too broad of results which makes performing the search futile.

Vorteile:

i use it mostly to share asset marketing to partners in different region, so the filter on how it saved is really helpful for me to organize it.

Nachteile:

i wish i could share the content easier, since i need to share the asset to several parties.

Great but could use a few tweaks

It's a beautiful product. Visually amazing.

Nachteile:

When I am uploading large amounts of photos. More than 20 at a time. I really dislike that the thumbnails are sooooooo small. If they could be larger it would be helpful for adding metadata. Since they are so small I have to have another window open to be able to see the image Im adding metadata to.

Easy to use

I used Mediavalet as part of a study. I checked images and also uploaded them. It is very easy to use

Global brand asset library is superior

Vorteile:

All our global brand assets are kept with MediaValet for use across more than 30+ markets around the world. It’s the best asset library that I’ve ever worked with, easily accessible via keywords, languages and file types.

Nachteile:

Seriously there isn’t anything I don’t like about the software. It works for what I require it for:-)

Full featured product and hands-on onboarding

Vorteile:

We evaluated multiple cloud-based SaaS DAM solutions and in the end they're all pretty comparable. However, MediaValet's willingness to work with our unique needs and specific, pressing timelines shone through. The journey to full onboarding isn't 100% complete (the rest is on us), but their patience, guidance and thoughtful contribution makes them feel more like a partner and less like a commodity vendor. Additionally, they've made some light configurations that felt very bespoke, and even now, months in, we have a weekly touch base call to ensure any questions are answered, and potential workflow efficiencies or features can be leveraged.

Nachteile:

The service interface feels slightly antiquated. Perhaps due for a UX rethink soon, as their consistent roadmap of features is rolled out.

Much easier to share files within team

Kommentare: I work for a large healthcare marketing system. We have a fairly large marketing team spread across 2 states. When it comes to sharing resources, Media Valet has been a great asset. We can post a photo to MV and then our graphic designers can download it to do their production work. It has reduced the number of phone calls and back and forth emails when looking for a photo or other element. It has created a 'one-stop shopping' environment for our team.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. The ability for the entire team to access and grab what they need.

Nachteile:

Better than a shared drive

Kommentare: MediaValet is a huge improvement over working with shared drives, we could never go back, the time saved searching for assets or even previewing an asset for a new project is never-ending.

Vorteile:

MediaValet has a very good search and overall interface for finding your assets, version control is a real bonus.

Nachteile:

We are used to some fairly simple collaboration features like mentions that would be a great addition to the platform otherwise comments just get lost and forgotten about. Ability to visually crop / resize assets before downloading the rendition would help the more non technical users in the team otherwise they need to have Adobe installed then download the original and then export the asset. You can set the dimensions on export which is great but there is no option to lock the aspect ratio which takes away from the experiance for less technical team members.

Easy and perfect software

Kommentare: I´ve been using MediaValet for almost 3 years and it´s a fantastic tool where we can share any new material immediately.

Vorteile:

I belong to a large corporate and we can find and share our digital material so easy in one single space.

Nachteile:

I haven´t found anything that I may not like.

Very Strong Asset Management Platform

Kommentare: Very strong asset digital management. Although it's not perfect, I haven't seen or used anything better.

Vorteile:

I like the ability to easily store, share, and organize assets in one central location. Furthermore it's easily accessible in the P.R.C., which is a big reason why my company uses it.

Nachteile:

I hate that the interface isn't very touch friendly. I need to use the arrow and bar on the size to scroll and I need to click in the little white boxes to select assets, instead of just touching the icon with my finger on my touchscreen.

Easy to use product with amazing customer support team!

Kommentare: We switched to MediaValet from Extensis about a year ago. The transition was flawless and the customer support has been amazing. The cloud based system has helped out internal IT staff as well as allows us to access the images from anywhere! Great product!

Vorteile:

Easy to use. Easy to implement. Very streamlined interface with lightbox function that helps us share images internally and with external vendors.

Nachteile:

It does take a little bit of time to learn how to best import/organize the images. The process is well suited though and creates a great structure!

It is a very successful and stable software, in general it is flawless. I didn't have any problems and I was satisfied.
