ClassDojo helps keep communication open with parents

Vorteile:

As a teacher I now find it simpler to exchange various updates and images with my parents thanks to ClassDojo. I have been using ClassDojo around 2-3 years now and have only slightly had issues, which were mostly navigating the site. But using ClassDojo has not only kept me in contact with parents but their homeroom teachers as well, and lets me posts the fun things my students do when I have them in my classes.

Nachteile:

I seem to get easily lost when trying to navigate the site. I think the screen can be too busy so I overlook the particular thing I am looking for.

For the classroom

Kommentare: the kids in class love it along with the parents, the kids love getting points to use for the games.

Vorteile:

It creates a great way to keep in touch with parents.

Nachteile:

the cost for premium turns off alot of the parents

A must have for all classroom teacher!

Kommentare: My students were so invested in our class account and l loved all the features available for at home use.

Vorteile:

I love that parents can be notified of activities in the classroom and how the student's feel a sense of autonomy of points.

Nachteile:

As I haven't used this platform since I was a teacher a few years ago, I can't say much on the cons. I loved using this as a classroom teacher!

Class Dojo

Kommentare: Handles multi children under one parental account. Easy to toggle to different students/teachers. Private message options.

Vorteile:

Quick access to my childs teachers and notifications from the school.

Nachteile:

Not many teachers keep class dojo updates. It can take a long time to get a response.

Amazing Software for Educators.

Kommentare: My overall experience with ClassDojo is positive. It's one of the best programs that I have ever used as a teacher. It helps parents and teachers to stay in contact throughout the day. It helps motivate students to work to their full potential.

Vorteile:

ClassDojo is one of the best software teachers have available for their classrooms. Every school district should have this integrated. I like most that I can keep parents informed about their students throughout the day. I love that I can upload pictures of the students working on assignments. I have noticed that parents love being able to see what we are doing for the day. I also like that parents can participate by giving their children points for doing activities around the house. It does not have to be things for school but things like going to bed, cleaning up toys, or eating dinner.

Nachteile:

Absolutely nothing. I can not think of one negative thing to say about ClassDojo.

Great for Parents!

Vorteile:

ClassDojo is the perfect application for parents and teachers to interact. Teachers can easily give parents updates on how their child is progressing in class. Teachers can upload pictures of the students, they can keep track of assignments, and they can give students points for doing activities around the classroom and at home. My child is in elementary school and her teacher has ClassDojo. Every day my daughter wants me to check how many points she received each day. It feels like a game for them. I like that, as a parent, I can give her points for brushing her teeth, eating all her food, and going to bed each night. ClassDojo helps motivate my daughter to do well in everything she does.

Nachteile:

The only con would be you need to pay for a subscription to get all of the bells and whistles.

A teacher's best friend

Vorteile:

This app is literally like a teacher's best friend. It makes communicating with parents a breeze and there is always a record on the conversation. It encourages positive student behavior and makes classroom management so much easier. To top it all off, the students LOVE IT!

Nachteile:

Nothing...I loved everything about it as a teacher!

The Best System.

Kommentare: My overall experience is great it was an app that i never knew i needed until i gave it chance and i like it. I love seeing the praises and the goof notes that my child is having.

Vorteile:

What I most like about Class Dojo is that I can see everything and I can get daily updates about what is going on. I love that and I can realt time conversation or jsut a littel quick reach out if that what is what i need at the moment.

Nachteile:

There is never a dull moment I never have to complain or worry about anyrthing going wrong.

Great tool for teachers

Kommentare: Class dojo is a great tool for communication between schools and families. It can be broad to include the entire school in a message or narrowed down to specific classrooms or even individual families/students. You can include graphics and pictures with messages as well. Works well for my school.

Vorteile:

It's an effective means of communication between schools and families

Nachteile:

Getting families set up and going it's probably the hardest part about using it. Especially families that are resistant to using it

Kommentare: Our Program's overall experience with "ClassDojo" has been a success between the student's Families and Teachers.

Vorteile:

Our Program find "ClassDojo" to be a very resilient digital tool to support Families and Teachers to enhance their student's learning and behavior.

Nachteile:

What our Program found least about "ClassDojo" to assist our staff members would be the "Attendance Tracking" due to our Program having already established an attendance tracking system; however, if we didn't, we would gladly use "ClassDojo" Attendance Tracking.

Encouraging your child to be Successful

Kommentare: My overall experience working with ClassDojo was great. If my child was falling behind or missing an assignment, I could immediately fix the problem. I was able to log on any time I'd like and know how my child was doing. The direct communication with the teacher is a plus as well.

Vorteile:

I not only like the direct contact between parent and teacher, but I like that you can send encouraging words and pictures to your child. Mine loved the little remarks of encouragement.

Nachteile:

I don't have anything bad to say about ClassDojo. It was something provided by the school for free and that is a pro.

ClassDojo is a life saver

Kommentare: I haven’t had any issues with it, parents tell me everyday how much they love it that they can always get ahold of me

Vorteile:

I find it so easy to use, very user friendly for both educators and parents. It’s easy to communicate to parents as well, all contact information is right through the app, making my job a lot less complicated.

Nachteile:

It has a lot of pop ups, you just have to X out of them, they may be advertisements or just the way the app is.

I love it and so does my daughter

Class Dojo for Parent Teacher Communication

Kommentare: It is a great tool for parent teacher communication and staying up to date on your child's schooling.

Vorteile:

I like the photos and videos that get posted of my child and the chat feature and important updates about my child that I receive.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the push notifications don't come through and i might get information later than I would have liked.

Excellent Way to Communicate

Kommentare: I absolutely love being able to communicate with my children's teachers, get class updates and see photos they post throughout the day.

Vorteile:

I love that parents and teachers can be in contact without having to share our personal phone numbers. I also love that the teachers can message all parents without it being a "group chat" where we have to hear everyone's comments.

Nachteile:

Many of the features require a subscription. It seems that some of the features should be available on the free version.

I have had three children, most teachers in elementary school use class dojo, I enjoy this app as it lets me keep up with everything that the student does in class

Nothing great app, there hasn’t been any issues

I loved being able to chat with my child's teacher in real time to find out how they were doing throughout the day.

I loved ClassDojo and do not have anything bad to say about it.

The ease of communication when it comes to being able to reach out to parents urgently.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the app acts up, it can lag or freeze. I also I don't like that it always wants you to purchase something.

Fun App to Interface with the School

Vorteile:

I'd recommend ClassDojo if your teacher uses it. It is a great way to keep in contact with the teacher and other parents on the app. You can direct message and review the group chat boards to see what is going on in the classroom that day/week, see photos of your student, and message the teacher directly with any questions.

Nachteile:

I could not reach out to my student directly on class dojo even though the app seemed like you'd be able to connect. A student version linked to the parent's ClassDojo app would be very helpful. That way, the 'rewards' and other incentives that parents can use on their app would be visible by the child, without giving the child the computer/phone of the parent (our students all have school ipads).

Feeling good while my kid at school

Vorteile:

I like the communication that it provides with the educator or my child. It is important to feel this way and ClassDojo makes it happen. We also love the little character you can create for the little one.

Nachteile:

Haven’t been enough time on the app. However everything seems great.

Keeping up with your kiddos at no cost

I love that I am able to interact with what my kids have done through out the day without worrying about anything the teachers keep up with letting us know the weeks schedule

A Helpfull app

Vorteile:

What I like about this site is that it is easy to use and can also be dealt with by teachers and parents .

Nachteile:

I will say I love this site. There is a slight flaw in it, that when I get a notification, I try to click on it, but the notification doesn't open

Parent's Perspective

Vorteile:

Having one app that teachers of 3 students use at 2 different schools is great. Being able to manage alerts through email and the app is great.

Nachteile:

Not knowing what functions your students' teachers use with a premium subscription is a hindrance to making that financial commitment.

A Needed Dojo

I do not like the price. I think it should allow a few more basic/free functions
