DO NOT USE FORMSTACK

Kommentare: Where do I even begin... Formstack is HORRIBLE across the board. To start... Absolutely criminal pricing. Second... Next to impossible to cancel...HUGE waste of time, there's no cancel button. I've been trying to cancel for 2 months... and in the meantime they have been billing me for those two months. And also they have just let me know that apparently I am on a yearly contract?? And I can't cancel for 8 months? After I spend another $4k+ with them?? I am so beyond disappointed. I have been a customer for 5+ years. It's an insanely expensive, subpar service. I am so beyond my limit with Formstack. On top of all of this, I have reached out when our form logic was just NOT working (REALLY bad look for us for our clients) and they gaslit me and told me it was working after it had been fixed. SO why when I did absolutely nothing did my form not work and now it all of sudden works??? Hm... Go with another form provider. My business needs HIPAA compliant forms and there are way better alternatives out there for a FRACTION of the price. Like less than what I am paying PER MONTH at Formstack for an entire year kind of fraction of the price. I would give 0 stars if I could. I've been getting ripped off for years and am mad and feel taken advantage of and now they are making it my problem. I could have saved $10k if i switched to another provider earlier. I wouldn't be so mad because I do take responsibility for my part in this... but it's also taken me HOURS to attempt to leave the service (they still haven't cancelled my account and each month that goes on they keep charging me!!!!), another 20 hours or so to rebuild my forms on another platform. I am beyond unhappy with them and FULLY recommend you go with a different form company.

Vorteile:

Formstack has implemented strict security measures to safeguard sensitive data, whether it is being collected, shared, or stored. Security passwords can be used to encrypt data and guarantee that only individuals with the proper authorization can access particular data. Additionally, workflow approval is in place, so users may only access the form through authorized inputs. Users are able to closely monitor and keep track of every form entry thanks to this.

Nachteile:

Better back-end form storing organization structure. The capacity to replicate forms and guarantee that every rule is copied over. High-end plans are the only ones that offer advanced base features like payments, approval, multiple users, single sign-in for forms, and more.

Trackable, Customizable, and Easy-to-use

Formstack forms are easy to create and more importantly: track. We can very quickly pull insights from our Formstack forms to understand what our audience is thinking

Formstack lacks the customization features of other interactive form offerings.

Horrible product, horrible people (stay away)

Vorteile:

It actually does merge Salesforce data into PDF form fields... eventually, anyway.

Nachteile:

It's wildly buggy and inconsistent. Admin portal is often a month behind, so billing display errors create unneeded concerns on an almost monthly basis. And if ever you need tech support you must fight your way through 3 level-one novices who barely comprehend American English before you finally get someone who knows what they're doing. Also, their business practices are generally shady and they honestly shouldn't be trusted. Oh, plus they raised their already expensive fee as if they were worth it - they're not. Nintex/Drawloop is 1000% better at only 50% of the annual cost, we should have switched years ago.

Formstack didn't meet our needs during development and now we're stuck with the bill

Kommentare: At first, our experience with Formstack was promising. However, it clearly became evident that formstack for Salesforce was ill-equipped to handle extensive forms with little formatting needs without passing data to the object.

Vorteile:

We like that the product was a native salesforce integration and that it was capable of attaching the response PDF to the account object. Unfortunately, Formstack failed when it came to our formatting needs.

Nachteile:

The BioSpine Institute needed a short term patient paperwork solution to attached the response PDF to the Account Object. Unfortunately, we ran into several PDF formatting and rules issues. Our forms required hundreds of rules to hide and show fields based on the patient's input. The rules engine was not user friendly and cumbersome, forcing the user to search for existing rules by clicking through pages. We spent weeks trying to make it work. Our PDFs were 26 pages long when they should have been closer to 8. It was so long because hiding certain pages was impossible. Formstack Forms produced an unacceptable product as it would slow and hinder Clinic operations. Formstack's solution? Formstack suggested using Documents, a feature we had not purchased, to format the PDF the exact way we wanted it. Unfortunately, this would require us to create hundreds of fields in Salesforce and pass the data from the form into Salesforce. We specifically discussed during the sales process that we wanted very little if any patient data in Salesforce. If this were known at the time, we would have looked for another solution. After multiple meetings and communications, we expressed our desire to cancel the contract due to Formstack's inability to meet our needs as promised. However, Formstack denied our request and is currently billing us every month for a product we can't use. If you're looking for a form solution, don't use Formstack for Salesforce.

Stay Away - doesn't worth the money nor the time

Nachteile:

Payment links didn't work, we had to spend time fix payment links manually them and make us look like fraud. Spent hours with the support which couldn't provide working solution. We had to switch provider and dispute the charge since they try to make us pay for non working product.

Easy Form Creation

Vorteile:

Formstack Forms makes it easy to create and manage online forms. I appreciate the drag-and-drop interface, which simplifies the design process.

Nachteile:

One drawback is that some advanced features require a higher subscription tier, which can be pricey.

Nachteile:

Their customer support was terrible. They used some legacy scripting which cost us alot to mitigate even though I had asked them to updated their legacy script calls.

Cancelled my account after 1 month -Most useless tech support of all time.

Kommentare: I missed numerous deadlines and opportunities to gain customers because I couldn't get these forms set up for the beginning of our school year (we're a music school and these were our registration forms). This has been my single worst customer service/support experience ever.

Vorteile:

If it has worked, it would have been great that you can process credit cards right there in the form. It's also nice how you can save form sections, and there are many options for question/answer templates.

Nachteile:

As soon as I started using Formstack, there was an issue with the payment processor integration where credit card transactions would not go through. I started out using Stripe, and when it didn't work, I contacted support, but none of their solutions fixed it, so I switched to Paypal. I then had the same issues with Paypal. I emailed back and forth with Support for a long time. They offered me the same 4 solutions repeatedly, all of which I tried. I explained to Support that these things weren't helping but it was as if they had amnesia and didn't remember they had already suggested the same things, which didn't work. I sent a message to the Sales team instead to see if they could get me in touch with a different Support professional who knew how to fix this problem (no phone #s on website). Sales said they would escalate the issue. When I didn't hear back for a week, I emailed again asking to cancel my account, and the Sales person said they had emailed support and that "the issue is with your payment processor," which of course I already knew and was the reason for my message in the first place. They continued to insist that the issue was with Paypal. I talked to Paypal support and the problem was not on their end. Many annoying issues with the form creation interface too- like to move questions you have to drag and drop by scrolling through the entire form. And the item/event purchase requires you to give the option of ordering more than one of each item.

I like it!

Kommentare: We use this for new customer registration and have it attached to a payment portal. It's great because the customer can check box all the agreements and use one signature for everything. Families can fill out all their information and Pay in less than 5 minutes. HUGE time saver and we get more business, because people don't have to ever stop and come back to it or flip through pages. If you are a martial arts school and are trying to figure out how to do new student intake and payment without using the really expensive companies like Mind Body or Zen Planner. I highly recommend using along side a merchant system like MXmerchant or a couple of the others Formstack has listed on their website and is compatible with. Vorteile:

As soon as I started the trial it was easy to navigate through, and I could pretty quickly figure out what I was looking for. Everything is organized intuitively for a new user. That is probably what made me happiest about it. It also has great options for keeping data protected. That was something we struggles with a lot looking at other form generators. I can also generate a ton of different forms at no extra cost. I even use this if parents are signing for our annual potluck.

Nachteile:

I don't get a lot of control manipulating the text for each field or heading. My biggest struggle is making the forms easy fora customers eyes to follow the page and be easy to fill out. When all the text is stuck the same size, the question and list of checkbox answers, it is kind of overwhelming, and customers in a hurry get lost and have to go back and re-read.

Horrible Customer Service - or none at all

Kommentare: Horrible. If I could use the account, maybe I'd have a better experience. Even trying to get access was a challenge. If your company's grown over the past 2 years, perhaps it's time to hire more CSRs.

Vorteile:

Lately, nothing. The forms are fine to create, drag and drop's fine, etc. But then there's limits on how many responses you can receive. If using this as an ongoing product, eventually you're going to reach that limit. How's one to know the quantity of responses they'll need for a recurring form?

Nachteile:

There's no contact. I can't seem to get a single human to reply to multiple support and billing issues to the point that my account's now suspended. ZERO human reply. Automated replies with no actual help. I don't recommend them because if you can't get support when you need it, what's the point?

Functional Use for my Small Business

Kommentare: Overall I recommend this product for small businesses that need a tool to help them collect customer information and/or process payments. It is helpful that it has logic that allows you to better customize to customer needs. For example, we use it to collect cancellations and can upsell / cross sell to people based on the reason the cancel.

Vorteile:

I like that it's easy to use and can be self taught. It is also helpful in that you can use it to process credit card payments and embed the form on your website if you don't have that software already built into your site. I've also found the "live" form that shows up right away to be a useful tool to determine if the form is built correctly and useful.

Nachteile:

The formatting can be tricky and if you are building out logic it can be confusing. I've found myself making mistakes occasionally because of the logic and it not being clear what I'm about to do before I do it.

Great tool for creating custom forms that can be used standalone or integrated into an application.

Kommentare: Did not have to spend time developing forms, rather could iterate quickly trying to find the best UX to get data from our users.

Vorteile:

There are a lot of field types that make it easy to construct complex forms and workflows. Add the automation options (webhooks etc) and the product becomes very powerful.

Nachteile:

While we were able to integrate the product into our own software, we had to do some javascript magic to make it happen. If there was an easier way to include formstack forms into our custom software, the product would be near perfect.

Moving from Paper to Online Registration

Vorteile:

We used Formstack as a first step of transition from having no online registration or information collection to accepting registration and payments online. I liked that it was fairly simple to create forms for information collection, but that information then had to be exported and transferred over to whatever system we used to store it.

Nachteile:

While the basic drag and drop elements of the form were simple, it was not as straight forward to link it to payment software or collect payments. There were several instances where a box wasn't checked or the formula was not set up correctly by myself, another staff member, or volunteer and because of this payment didn't go through and had to be re-collected. If you are a religious organization or non-profit, I would advise collecting information, registration, and payment through a database system or something that's more all encompassing rather than using

I heard you like forms in your forms

Kommentare: Great experience. We still use it for complex logic based forms immensely. It allows for so many if statements to capture exactly what we want from the person filling out the form.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Drag and drop is something people just get. Training a staff member on how to build their own forms only takes a few minutes and they get the basics and are off to the races with their work quickly. When you empower your staff to do their job and more it means less work for you so you can focus on the things they can't do. LOGIC! Logic is amazing and so fluid and helpful.

Nachteile:

Cost structure. We have lots of small forms and lots of users, but formstacks structure does not like that. If you build fewer forms and lots of responses it works great. Lots of forms with smaller reponses you hit the cost barriers quickly. Of course if you delete the data it works fine, but if you give formstack as a tool to your staff and you don't want to manage the amount of forms it becomes unwieldy quickly.

Solid system for creating forms for a variety of uses

Kommentare: There are definitely parts of this system that I appreciate and find very useful, but I think there are a few areas it could improve to really perfect the experience.

Vorteile:

Easy to use UI with pretty straightforward features and options for building out forms. Includes some helpful conditional options for specific steps on forms, which was key to a lot of the forms I've had to create.

Nachteile:

The main complaint I have for this system is that the conditional settings (which I had to use a lot of) would erase whenever possible answers in the drop-down list for a question were adjusted. So even if I kept the name of a certain answer the same, but adjusted the positioning of it, the conditional I built around that answer would disappear. Just wish the system could have been a bit smarter with that.

Solid digital form solution

Vorteile:

Formstack is simple to set up and easy to use. You can teach yourself how to create detailed form because it has a very logical setup. The forms generally work exactly how you'd expect them to and editing is simple in case of changes.

Nachteile:

There isn't a whole lot I don't like. It would be nice to have a 'free' tier like competitors have. I have worked with companies that wouldn't need more than a handful of submissions a month, and that puts FormStack out of their price range.

The Best I’ve Used for Forms

Vorteile:

Creating complex forms was easy for me and I’m not a programmer. Lots of options for how to present and collect responses. Good integration with Google sheets for using the data after collection.

Nachteile:

This is specific, but bummed it doesn’t integrate easily with NetSuite, which we just started using this year.

Formstack is an easy way to register gifts, registration, and other transactions.

Kommentare: We are accepting payments, gifts, and facilitating registration/ticketing with Formstack, and although it needs some work on the presentation aspect, it is a great and economical tool for nonprofits.

Vorteile:

The simplicity of Formstack is its greatest benefit. It is extremely simple to set up, use (on the client-facing side), and receipt.

Nachteile:

The additional functionality and presentation are absent with Formstack. We still use Formstack (and will probably continue to use it) because it doesn't have many problems, but from the client-facing side, the forms can look like they are from the early 2000's.

Easy-to-Use Product

Kommentare: This is a great product for collecting information from staff. It is a great organizational support tool.

Vorteile:

This software is easily used by users. Survey users can easily select the answers they'd like to use. It can be added as a button on mobile devices, making the submission of daily information (such as COVID health checks) simple.

Nachteile:

Some of the coloring options do not quickly transfer from the desktop to mobile device platforms, making some text unreadable.

No better way to capture important data

Kommentare: Using Formstack has seamlessly allowed us to capture duch important information from new customers and staff members.

We use this product to have customers enroll and buy our product - simple, easy and clean way to capture all the important information and allow them to safely input credit card information for payment

I am concerned that Formstack is considering changing the way they permit the user to keep credit card information.
