Kommentare: It's a great program with the proper training.
Vorteile:
I love the work order process. Owners see what is done, when its done, etc.
Nachteile:
Sometimes it's a little wonky. The filtering/sorting can be hard to figure out.
Solid System
Kommentare: I enjoy using Asset Essentials. Have not had a bad experience with the program or Customer Support since we became users.
Vorteile:
Setup was easy with a little leg work, especially adding assets and equipment, BUT putting that work in on the front end saves you a lot of time in the field, ie. if you need a pump serial and model numbers, you could just grab it from AE. I like how you can customize reporting. I also like that you can update work orders with parts on order info or scheduling info, and the submitter gets an email of the update. Great feature.
Nachteile:
Asked all of my staff, and no one had any response for this question.

Kommentare: Migrating to a new platform can initially be overwhelming especially when being familiar with a product that was used for a number of years and was fine- tuned to an organization's use. Overall, now that Asset Essentials is the work order system of the organization with staff utilizing the many features, it is appreciated for its efficiencies.
Vorteile:
Asset Essentials continues to improve the ease of use and output of the data, proving to be an excellent resource for the organization and for the Facilities Management Managers and Staff.
Nachteile:
Brightly continues to work with Clients' use and understanding of Asset Essentials and this is a process. Learning improved ways of working with a product can initially be awkward, but once users become more familiar and comfortable with the how it works, it becomes more automatic.
OVERVIEW OF ASSETS
Kommentare: Overall, I like it, but like all things with time things can be tweaked here and there to better serve the customer.

Creating work orders with having all the fields popping up ready to be filled out.

Understanding the charts and breaking down of work orders according to which department you work.
Help when you reach out for it.

Having to start at the beginning of the work orders when done with one.

We have been able to get some value from this product but it has taken a long time to implement.
Vorteile:
This software has a lot of potential for us. The ability to track costs of repairs, parts, downtime, etc. could be really valuable. Having an accurate parts inventory will also be very nice when we get to that point. Keeping track of what work has been done on the different assets has been the best for us so far. Finally, having a parts list for each piece of equipment will be awesome.
Nachteile:
It is not a very sleek or modern user interface. Also, there are abundant features that can provide great value but it takes a lot of clicks to access what I want. Sometimes it seems like there are too many steps to perform what I want to. One example would be PO's. I also wish it would allow me to customize more so I can avoid fields of information that I don't need.

The ease of going to my projects finding the project number and getting and giving updates on each project in case someone else needs to know about my project.
Nachteile:
It categorizes my projects and lets me know when it became a project and when the project ended.

No real complaints other then the beginning setup was difficult but very easy to learn once started .

I love the ease of use. It is extremely user friendly, even for novice technology users.
Nachteile:
I am unable to go back and see a history of submitted requests unless I submit a new request. There may be a way to do this and I am just unaware.

Asset Essentials has helped for tracking project requests across many maintenance categories
Kommentare: [sensitive content hidden] from Asset Essentials was patient and sat with us through several implementation meetings and trainings. She was knowledgeable and able to help us out tremendously.
Vorteile:
A big advantage over before when work orders were in Maximo and facility project requests were not is that the system has greater transparency and is more modern and streamlined. We are going to be able to provide end users with automated updates so they know when action has been taken on their requests. This will be a time savings and prevent the need for as many manual emails. I really like that we can attach all sorts of documents like pdfs and photo files to the requests.
Nachteile:
A drawback to our transition was that it was not without issues to take our large school system and large maintenance and operations team through the change to begin using Asset Essentials due to the complexities. Even though planning was well thought out we did have a delayed roll out and we did experience additional delays with user training. It would also be helpful to be able to attach smaller video files to requests.

I like the ability to build my page the way i want to. Its really convenient to see what is coming up each day and what has been completed. For inventory control i can tell what needs to be ordered for stock

I havent found a way that it will alert me when our parts clerk checks parts into asset with out me actually looking

Great Value for Small Manufacturing Plants
Kommentare: Overall it was easy to use and easy to set up
Vorteile:
Work orders are thorough and give a good history of cost, supplier, actual repairs. Being able to attach invoices, etc. is a great help.
Nachteile:
I found trying to schedule preventative maintenance difficult. It never calendared out as expeccted and always caught us off guard. Took a little while to figure out hierarchy for setting up assets. Having someone walk us through initial set up would have been helpful.

Great Product
Kommentare: Overall I have a good experience using Asset Essentials. It is pretty easy to use. It has a lot of useful funcitons and I seem to discover new things periodically. I was very happy when our company decided to get this software it has cut back on my work.
Vorteile:
Being able to enter work orders and not having to bog down email boxes with a bunch of emails. Everyone being able to view work orders and know the status
Nachteile:
The help feature is not very clear or easy for most users. It seems to be geared more toward the highest administrators rather than the everyday user. A lot of times I cannot get my answers for help from there because it wants me to use functions I do not have access to and I have to call the help line.

There are some days that the program runs a bit slow.
