Great tool for project management and resource planning

Kommentare: Our planning and resource management is made easy with the adoption of Ganttic.

Vorteile:

Great tool for visualized resource planning, project management and tracking of work hours. We are really interested to use this tool as it helped us gain more control over our resources and utilize them wisely. The time tracking UI and planing feature is a great tool for small and medium size companies where employee management is a crucial task.

Nachteile:

The overall functionality set needs more improvement as it have some issues with the time tracking. It needs more QA before rolling into production.

Ganttic for multi-project management in mid-sized teams

Kommentare: The opinion on Ganttic in the team varies very much. Some people prefer to do the planning in Jira and only add tasks in Ganttic because it is required by our team lead. My experience with Ganttic is very good, I think it's a very versatile, easy to use product.

Vorteile:

It's easy to create and modify tasks with a duration and assign it to a team member and a project. The resource utilization markes by color are very helpful in identifying time slots where a team member is over-scheduled.

Nachteile:

It has no integration with Jira or Outlook, which would be really useful, as we are currently planning tasks in multiple places. I know that it offers a generic interface for establishing such an integration, but we haven't had the time to write it ourselves.

Easy to use ERP, cheap and efficient, great to customise to your company needs.

Nachteile:

Would be really nice to add files to a task ( pdf, jpg, sheets etc) Would be nice to customise app notifications. Now it's just a on/off function, this leads (in my case) to a notification every time a user as much as views a task.

Ganttic changed the whole way we managed our schedule!

Kommentare: Overall we are very pleased with the use of Ganttic. Help team replies quickly when we do have interrogations or improvement ideas and that's really a great thing! We feel like we are participating in the development of Ganttic and that they do really care about their users.

Vorteile:

Ganttic is an easy learning software that we use daily for scheduling resources to our dozens of projects. Being able to see in almost real-time any modification to the schedule and to sync it with Microsoft Outlook is a must for our company. The way gantt charts are being generated for every project and the possibility to share it with our customers so they can also see in real-time their project advancement is also a great feature.

Nachteile:

Outlook sync is great but still show some problems. Sometimes tasks are being duplicated or erased for unknown reasons. The way it syncs periodic tasks is also a deal breaker as it does insert separate tasks which can't be deleted all at once like we can do with the "Repeat" feature in Ganttic tasks.

A great cost-effective solution

Kommentare: Largely brilliant, it's served the purpose we've needed it to, however as we transition to more of a focus on budget management and capacity forecasting/tracking, we're finding that it might not be the best tool to allow us to do that.

Vorteile:

The main pros are its inexpensiveness and ease of use. In terms of using it simply to book resource and manage a large teams' production schedules across hundreds of projects, it does the job perfectly. It also has an API available which we've made great use of to integrate with our other tools.

Nachteile:

We have had to create some manual workarounds to get relevant reportable data out of Ganttic. We've also found that it does have a bit of a blindspot around capacity planning (there is an unassigned task area but it's global across the site, you can't have separate unassigned task areas for different teams). The mobile app is not worth your time.

Ganttic meets my needs

I like the ability to see at a glance my resource scheduling and what is in the pipeline in a simple and easy to use interface.

Nachteile:

Reordering resources is annoying but there is probably an easier way.

Visibility. I like how easy it is to see at a glance what's up and coming.

Nachteile:

The timespan of my default view is the current week to the end of the following month. I don't like that on the first day of each mew month I am unable to feel the following month's data until Midday.

Ganttic for recourse planning

Kommentare: We use Ganttic to allocate our workforce to about 150 different projects every year. Our work is often moved in time. We can easy re-allocate our workforce, we and also get a good overview over our capacity.

I like the ease of use, the good overview we get of our workforce. (who do what and when can a new task be assigned) We activly use Ganttic for allocating employee for each project and task.

Nachteile:

I would like to have a better seach funktion in Ganttic

Best Planner!

Vorteile:

I love Ganttic, I have been using it for several years now, I have weekly meetings with the project managers in my company and am able to plan in work as we speak. I have told other about this system and have urged them to try it.

The lack of search tooling, I like to find completed jobs quick.

Vorteile:

If you are searching for easy&fancy tool for resource/project schedule, then Ganttic is the best. We are using this tool 4+ years and developers added so many features. Support is very fast and they always know answer.

Nachteile:

In past it was some gaps in users settings, but Ganttic add possibility to admin part and it works !!! For now i dont know about any cons.

There could be small software improvements. For example if I move one event of a project, it would be great if all project events moved with it. But instead I have to manually move everything.

Kommentare: I have spent the last 5 years looking for software to allow our mid-sized contracting firm to organize our schedule further out than one month. We were using three different products to poorly emulate what Ganttic does. One of them was google calendar and Ganttic has very good calendar sync features which make our transition pretty seamless.

Vorteile:

- It allows the whole company to schedule multiple projects in one place and easily see potential bottlenecks. - Outstanding customizability. - Super helpful support team. - Really well thought out. If the software works a certain way, it's usually because of a very smart reason.

Nachteile:

- Unattractive UI. - A few weird limitations on the gantt chart. They were very receptive to requests for change on this.

Ganttic Review

Kommentare: Ganttic has been instrumental in reporting data for scheduling, planning out resources and capacity, and showcasing what products are scheduled to run. I have really enjoyed being able to easily access the tools I needed when I worked in supply chain to understand what we'd need to move and what processes take longer than others. It was relatively inexpensive for the quality and features it provides.

Vorteile:

The graphics are very high quality and the features are really helpful to visualize capacity, especially the reports and charts. They create easy visuals for me to report out at a high level, but they also can be as detailed as necessary. I like all the filters because I can pick and choose what I would like to report out and can alter them easily and just refresh the page to see new equipment or resources.

Nachteile:

It is not as user-friendly as the team had anticipated. It is very intuitive for people who have experience working with scheduling software, but for newcomers, it takes a bit to get used to and some of the FAQs are not as descriptive as we would like. However, after working with it for a while, it becomes second nature.

Ganttic for manpower scheduling

Able to see where all the company resources are at any given time, and able to adjust resources as necessary

Flexible and great views

Kommentare: It's a very helpful tool for planning and scheduling and monitoring project status and completion.

Vorteile:

The tool is essential to scheduling of audit projects, so we can see where we have unused or underutilized capacity, or where we have overused capacity. It allows us to plan out our annual schedule.

Nachteile:

Creating new tasks is cumbersome. Too much clicking involved.

Ganttic for field service resource planning

Kommentare: I enjoy using Ganttic as it helps our team effectively manage their resources and projects.

Vorteile:

Ganttic enables our field service manager to effectively schedule maintenance visits, system installations, and time off. We are also able to calculate their travel rates and utilization percentages using the reporting feature to manage their time on the road.

Nachteile:

I would like to see more feature enhancements being developed, like the ability to link the resource schedules to ADP to automatically track time off.

Project portfolio management wirhout getting into the weeds

We use Ganttic to forecast our project portfolio, not daily tasks. It is simple to learn and easy to use. Not bloated with bells and whistles that make other software difficult and expensive.

Would like to set repetitive tasks that can autopopulate colors and duration.

Great for scheduling

Kommentare: I have been using Ganttic for about a year now and it makes it easy to schedule field staff and track project schedules. The interface is fairly intuitive and allows me to manage a large amount of employees easily.

The thing I like most about this software is how easy it is to manage and track multiple resources. Additionally, I like the organizational features.

Nachteile:

I think the use interface could be better. Also I didn't find the mobile app to be easy to use.

Thank you for the review, Haylie! We are currently developing our mobile app and during this year it will have a gantt chart view available also. Hopefully it will make soon your fieldwork easier to grasp via mobile too!

Good quality

Vorteile:

Ease of use and deployment. Very visual and easy to work online and share via visual-conference.

Nachteile:

The detailed screen are a little busy. Could be reworked.

It is easy to use. Overall schedule shows clearly

Nachteile:

deletion feature is very bad. Difficult to retrieve what has been deleted hence again re-enter for correction. Report feature specially dashboard should be available

Also, we can share a little trick with you on how to restore deleted tasks, resources, and projects. If you're an admin, click on the "G" symbol in the upper left corner, that's a history log of the entire planner. Click on the vertical ellipsis and you can restore what was deleted. Kommentare: Ganttic has help us internally to deal with sales and production on getting along with dates to give on new order, and to help realize a more accurate time line for jobs

Vorteile:

the software is easy going , you dont need to be a savvy to understand it

Nachteile:

I got a little confused with moving the jobs into the calendar , I was trying to drag them but i was doing it wrong
