Charity Master interface to QuickBooks is brilliant. Thrilled to be the first on the hosted version!

Vorteile: Charity Master (CM) is a key donor management tool. Having the ability to generate tax receipts, manage fundraising events, and enter/track donations all in one place is critical. Quickly targeting specific donor types and sending email blasts saves administration costs, and maximizes donations. As the leader of the implementation (on the customer side), and being the first to try the hosted version of the CM to QuickBooks (QB) interface via Summit Hosting, I wasn't sure where to set my expectations. However, working with Bill Jensen (Creditech Solutions Inc.) has been an absolute pleasure. Not only has he been receptive to all of our needs, but his extensive knowledge in both software's enabled him to provide expert advice on how to strategically setup the Company files. I would rate his level of customer service nothing short of excellent. Above and beyond the built in functionality of CM, Bill has also made multiple improvements to meet our specific needs through customization. He is always willing to listen, and will try and best address the needs of his clients. Last, not having to worry about company backups, having the latest software updates installed, and having the desktop version installed locally to access the company files makes hosting both applications a no brainer! We are very pleased with the adoption of CM, integration with QB, and moving to the hosted environment and would highly recommend this solution to other Charities.
Nachteile: When we first went live with QuickBooks in Novel Aspect's hosted environment (Jan 2017) we found that there was a slight delay in the response time when entering transactions in QuickBooks. Though the delay was very small, it was not something we were used to compared to the desktop version. In March of 2017 myownasp.com bought Novel Aspect, both powered by Summit Hosting. After the acquisition, I am pleased to report that there is absolutely NO delay at all. Both Charity Master and QuickBooks response time is instant. No other dislikes to report.

A Big Step UP!
Vorteile: Our previous database (based on Access) was disorganized and unwieldy. Charity Master is a road map into an intelligently designed system - a more efficient, robust vehicle that is cost-effective and comprehensive. Since installing Charity Master two years ago, I'm still learning all this database provides! Bill is accessible and responsive to our specific needs for our non-profit organization. He has provided countless hours of support, and customization which has greatly enhanced our experience using Charity Master. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Nachteile: Not linked to online registration, data has to be manually inputted. I realize though this would increase the cost significantly to have this option available.

CharityMaster is ideal for a Charity to contact donors, volunteers, and interested parties.
We have been using CharityMaster for about 3 years, It was fairly easy to install and convert our old poorly designed data.
It has good communications capabilities for mailings, e-mailings and followup tracking.
We track out donations and generate thank you letters.
We get many reports from CharityMaster enabling us to maintain and use our information effectively.
It has good volunteer information.
The vendor customer service to us is outstanding.
Vorteile: Customer service by the vendor.
Nachteile: Not much.

CharityMaster is a very efficient and cost-effective multi-purpose tool for any charitable groups
Kommentare: My charitable group has been using CharityMaster for about 3 years, mostly to manage our membership database and to handle donations. It has a very simple user interface, easy for anyone to learn to use - even a person with little computer knowledge! It has proven most effective at handling our membership database and donations including annual Canadian tax receipts. It also has a robust reporting system allowing reports to be extensively filtered and customized. It has many other features which we have made little use of so far (such as events and volunteers). It is extremely cost-effective with very reasonable yearly support costs. The developer is a pleasure to work with and is quick to resolve any issues as well as providing specialized solutions for our unique needs. Initial install and setup of the program was a breeze and the developer helped us to easily convert the data from our old program. The software does not require any specialized equipment on which to run and can be installed on most typical home computers. When we were searching for a new system we reviewed a number of other offerings and found CharityMaster to be be far ahead of its competitors in terms of cost and features. I would not hesitate to recommend this system to any charity or not-for-profit organization.

Kommentare: I would highly recommend Charity Master for your donor and auction tracking needs. The system is extremely easy to use and, as a person who is not technically savvy, I was able to understand the system with little-to-no training. The auction modules really do keep track of everything and is a value-added tool when managing a golf or auction fundraiser. The Charity Master’s team is very accessible and will walk through and implement changes at no cost. The team even worked with us when setting up our own VPN so that multiple volunteers could access the same database. Charity Master is hands down the best solution from a customer solution, effective, and cost perspective.

This organization stores their data on a server and each user accesses the server over the internet using VPN.
CharityMaster now offers a hosted solution where the hosting provider also hosts QuickBooks.
