A game changing research tool
Kommentare: The Ribbon team have been super responsive to our questions, feedback and requests that it has sped up our processes so that we can get confidence in particular decisions. It has also been a genuine pleasure to work with them! I'm looking forward to seeing what features they release next that can help accelerate us in our discovery processes.
We used to manually find customers to interview or test designs with, so it could take weeks to get results. With Ribbon we can now interview our customers and validate designs within a day.
When we first started using Ribbon it was still a fairly new product compared to its competitors so it lacked some of the features we needed as a business such as surveys, unmoderated research but it has come a long way since then and the team have been great in prioritising what we needed.
Removing the lead time in finding immersed users
Kommentare: People we used to speak to often didn't have intent to use our product. With Ribbon we don’t need to immerse participants into a mock scenario. Instead, we can focus on just speaking with our customers.It also really reduces the lead time and cost of recruitment. At my previous workplace, we were paying upwards of £100 to recruitment each participant. Using Ribbon massively reduces that cost, meaning we can do research more regularly and efficiently too.
Ribbon have created a product that is ever-evolving. For example, not long ago they launched interview scheduling meaning you can automatically have your calendar filled with interviews with a few clicks.It's really easy to use, making it quick to dive right in to user research and speak with your customers.
As with any startup, prioritisation is key and features are being developed. I look forward to them launching additional features, for example, better video editing so I can easily extract and share key insights with the rest of my team.

A few notable features that are intuitive and enjoyable to use: - Simple templates that customers can easily interact with and you get rapid results- Really like the cooling period so that customers don't get spammed (as we can have many teams work on different projects across our digital product)- Really easy to send incentives and thank you's to customers after they participate- The ability to connect to your calendar so interviews sync and don't create clashes - Customisation of booking screens so customers see a professional and branded consent form/scheduling screen and completion screen
User interviews if they join on mobile (no matter how much we request they join on a laptop) can sometimes be fiddly if we are asking participants to interact with a prototype. This however is not unique to Ribbon but it's a case that can always be improved.
Cost-efficient and more versatile than most competitors. Excited about its future!
The ability to heavily customise the styling and position of the widgets for in-product interviews and surveys. Other tools we had tried in the past had rigid settings and customer facing interface elements that were too intrusive, obstructing key parts of the experience. That was one of the key reasons we moved to Ribbon.
Even though "In-product" interviews are useful there's a significant delay when waiting for participants. It can take up to 30 minutes to find one. It would be helpful to develop features for mitigating this issue.
A must have tool if you take your product work seriously

Ribbon unblocks the common belief that it's difficult and takes a lot of time to get direct user feedback from interviews. You can get the data and understand "what happened" but without talking to users, you don't know the "whys." Ribbon is your easy gate to get answers for that and help you solve real problems for your users in a way they will use it.
Not all of the use cases are covered. Some features are coming up as we go (and ask for). Ribbon has been proactive in listening to our feedback and improving its offering. For some users (like us) this is a very big plus and was a major reason why we chose them.
