Fathom

Great product!

Kommentare: Fathom has been a game-changer for me, saving so much time. Before using Fathom, I had to manually take notes during meetings and then transcribe them into my CRM, which was tedious and time-consuming. Now, with Fathom, I get an automatic transcript of my meetings, and all I have to do is copy and paste. If you rely on Zoom meetings for your business, I highly recommend this product.

Great tool for Notetaking and summarizing.

Kommentare: Been such a relief and saved me more time then using chat GPT.. My company is a stickler when it comes to notetaking and Fathom just made it a breeze. And the summary comes almost instantly once the meeting ends.

I couldn’t fathom not using it

Kommentare: This is the second time I’ve used fathom, having previously used it at another employer. It is very, very effective for taking notes and allowing me to stay present in meetings where I need to build rapport with clients.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, fast installation, summary of meetings as well as overall transcription.

Nachteile:

It would be great for it to sit in the background more on Teams calls and not appear as another person.

Kommentare: Fathom is so easy to use, intuitive, and efficient! When I have had questions, support - even email support - was nearly instantaneous and spot-on!

This provides invaluable information for me in sales, enabling me to fully engage in technical client discussions without the distraction of taking detailed notes. I especially like that I can flag sections of the recordings as highlights, objections, questions, & things that I need to address afterward. One of my favorite aspects is the summary that automatically generates afterward, along with the follow-up tasks agreed to in the meeting.

Nachteile:

I'd like to be able to minimize the "Fathom Notetaker" window on-screen, but I accept that might prevent an attendee from being aware that the call is being recorded.

Fathom is my not-so-secret "secret weapon" that I use for EVERY meeting. Its capabilities and attention to detail allow me to be more active and present in my meetings (no more self-note taking!!), saves time with follow-up emails, and serves as my second brain when I need reminding of to-dos and past conversations. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Indispensable Tool

Kommentare: I work in a creative field so spend a lot of time brainstorming story ideas and working through character development. Fathom is able to quickly summarize what we've brainstormed.

Vorteile:

I am able to spend more time focusing on the participants in the meeting and less time writing notes.

Nachteile:

That it wasn't created years ago and I spent so much time taking notes.

A good to have personal meeting note taker

Kommentare: Getting the meeting minutes ready and having a proper transcription of the meeting. This is what Fathom is doing for me and it does an excellent job.

Nachteile:

Need to change the note-taker name in premium feels like an essential feature. Integrations can be done better where in it always takes some time to add the fathom to a meeting and get it running.

Vorteile:

Fathom is one of the most accurate AI note takers I have used. Its clean UI makes it super easy to use and to digest your post meeting notes. It was extemely easy to implement across our business due to its freemium version giving you enough functionality compared to its competitors. We use it for every meeting which means no more pen and paper and forgetting what was said in meetings!

Nachteile:

Currently launching Fathom into a scheduled meeting when using microsoft teams opens up your browser instead of the actual App. Its possibly user error my side but a little annoying regardless.

Fathom - You need this!

Kommentare: Mind. Blown. Wish I had this a long time ago. It has been so easy to setup and use it actually made meetings fun again!

Vorteile:

It takes perfect notes. Action items. Allows you to make unlimited custom tags that know to rewind to where that part of the conversation started to highlight it which turns into quick links later that you can send to others who only need that piece.

Nachteile:

Would be an amazing addition to support more than one calendar. For me I have multiple companies and most calendars are active. I can forward the meeting to the email fathom is logged in as for a work around.

The best meeting notes tool around!

Fathom is the most intuitive AI meeting notes tool I've used. It's way more than simply a transcription tool; it distills detailed, long meetings into top-line notes, complete with summaries by topic, action items and next steps. I've used other tools claiming to do this, and they're riddled with errors. Fathom is scary good!

Nachteile:

I honestly can't think of any cons to Fathom.

I'm awake, right? This is brilliant.

Kommentare: Quick, easy note-taking, highlighting action points, and learnables for every call that I have. Post-call makes it easy to search for points that I need. I couldn't recommend it enough, I actually spend a good few moments of many of my calls hyping up how good it is - then getting a message from them after telling me how good the summary they received was.

Fathom is brilliant; - I love that you can highlight bits and choose action points from the calls. - You can download sections if you've had a client hype about you to repurpose for content. - Of the other call-recording apps, the AI on this one has been the most accurate and smart. - And it immediately lets you send the notes to guests. - Customer support is crazy fast, too. Like what?! What's not to like? It's my go-to app for every call I have.

Nachteile:

The only glitchy moment so far has been balancing out between the two email accounts I have - that's barely a dislike. Aside from that, it's solidly brilliant.

Must-have sales assistant

Kommentare: Absolutely fabulous. It has really changed the power of my own sales, as well as enabled me to take dives into each agent and figure out what may or may not have gone well in a call. The fact that I can mark to-dos in the meeting as I say them, and have them pushed into my CRM task list is remarkable. I went from someone who had a lot of trouble remembering everything that was promised in a meeting (without an assistant or a note taker) to not forgetting a single thing. It really is amazing.

Vorteile:

I love the seamless interface to have it join meetings, and then the little widget that allows you to mark important things in the meeting is a total game-changer for my sales calls.

Nachteile:

Not much honestly. I guess it goes down every now and then, but what software doesn't. I wish it could record my phone calls the same way it does the Zoom meetings.

Nothing short of fantastic.

Kommentare: 10/10. This has been a game changer - it puts all your meetings in one place and let's you search them all for terms, topics etc! It's better than a personal assistant with photographic memory.

Vorteile:

Ease of installation and use! Didn't require admin privileges to install on my work computer. Meeting/call summaries are great, my colleagues are loving it to after I introduced them to it.

Nachteile:

It would be nice to be able to select the playback speed from a drop down menu instead of cycling through the different speeds, but this is a very minor point.

If you use Zoom regularly and don't use Fathom you need to rethink!

Vorteile:

Fathom is one of my favourite sidekicks for all of my Zoom meetings. Effortuiously recorded meetings created quick and easy-to-digest summaries and allowed me to share recordings with clients in one click. It seems so obvious, and yet it's so brilliant. Fathom has paid features, but unlike some software, it doesn't feel the need to impose them if you exceed any features. Fathom has been shared with every one of my colleagues in the office, and I've shared it multiple times on Linkedin as a must-have extension for Zoom & Online Meetings. Plus it takes less than 2mins to add and begin using. I've had one interaction with the support staff so far, mostly because the software works so well 99% of the time. The one instance that something went wrong, the team was there to explain the best way forward and offer daily updates on the progress. This is a product I generally use Daily, and looking back to when I didn't use Fathom, it seems like a distant memory now.

Nachteile:

I've had one recording record with sound and visual issues. The Fathom team spent over a week trying to recover and fix the problem but was unable to fix it. I will note that the recording in question was over 2 hours long and had 10+ people in the Zoom call. Perhaps the fault then is on me.

Fathom - great for all of my meetings

Kommentare: Overall, adding Fathom has been a tremendous help to getting my everyday work done much more efficiently. I am HUGE on automation and having my notes in an electronic format (I avoid pen and paper whenever I can). This has worked so well for me to take notes, summarize and record video of meetings, presentations and just conversations that I need to memorialize.

Vorteile:

It's great for taking notes, recording comments and identifying action items, by the responsible person. It still amazes me at some of the tasks it accomplishes. I also like the fact that customer support is intuitive and proactive. They reach out to me to ensure everything is working right

Nachteile:

I need to have an easier way to forward meeting notes (particularly with video recordings) to people that may not have Fathom. They cannot view without logging in/creating an account. I even have difficulty viewing some recordings

Just outstanding

Vorteile:

The Setup of a relatively complex product is incredibly well thought through. They create a "zoom call" but it's prerecorded and you can test the functionalities while you're "on" a zoom call. Extremely well thought out. The transcription is excellent, you land in one click in exactly the right place. And I'm now spending much less time in call management

Nachteile:

Tiny niggles: 1) I keep getting reminded how much I'm talking which is frankly sth I don't care about but I haven't figured out how to turn it off. 2) once I kicked out fathom out of a zoom call in one instance, I wanted to invite it back in but didn't know how. I'm sure this is mainly due to my ignorance than issues with the product itself.

Amazing AI Meeting Assistant and Better Than an Actual Assistant!

Kommentare: The problem it solves for me is issues with inaccurate note-taking (by others generally) and saves me time. I am also more focused on meetings now due to having it which means I can serve my clients better. I love this software and have had an amazing experience since I first started using it. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I first started using Fathom six months ago when I had rotator cuff surgery and was in a sling for 6 weeks and unable to type. I run several meetings a week, I work with online business owners to grow and scale their online businesses and I also do coaching and consulting. I say that to explain that in ALL the meetings I run, I take MANY notes. Not being able to type had me worried so I found and tried out Fathom a couple weeks prior to my surgery and I fell in love with it! I no longer have to manually make notes of to-do items or key points to follow up on. It was also so easy to use, and the learning curve was small, so anyone who is tech-challenged can use this! I learned it very fast, and here I am seven months later, using it for every meeting I have. I can now be more present in meetings since I am not manually capturing so much information. One feature I love is the transcript and how I can search based on keywords. I find myself doing this weekly, and it is amazing for me. So it's also saving me time after meetings, whereas before, I'd have to take time rewatching parts of a recording, and time is money! Out of all the software I use (and I have used a lot in my 10+ years in online business) this is one of the top tools I now recommend to anyone!

Nachteile:

Personally, I have not experienced any downside to it at all!

Great Tool, Easy to Use, Easy to Set Up

Not much. It's not a perfect product but their support is actually pro-active (they reached out to ME first when my Fathom notetaker had been kicked from a meeting - nice work Fathom support!)

I was a complete convert after my first Fathom meeting

Kommentare: A colleague recommended it to me last Wednesday morning during an in-person conversation at 7:50am. I hadn't heard of it, but he said it was an easy install and setup. I had an 8:30 Zoom meeting scheduled at my office. I arrived at my office at 8:17am, and between 8:18 and 8:30 I not only got Fathom set up and installed, but I was even able to get a cup of coffee before my meeting started. And then afterward, when I saw my first summary and action items, I realized my professional life was forever changed.

Vorteile:

The note-taking ability, the way it so incredibly helpfully and accurately parses out what was discussed into logical segments, and provides the key takeaways into a way not just that I can easily read, but helps me remember what happened, especially in a long and involved meeting. It is going to change the way my sales staff works... not only will my tech-phobic employees find it super-simple to install and use, but the clients will be incredibly impressed with what my staff will be able to provide them. It's all about looking, and being, professional! I used it three times the very first day, and came out forever changed.

Nachteile:

When you forward a summary to someone else, the "Play" button/graphic is awkwardly in the way and I delete each of them before sending.

Color me impressed! Incredibly accurate call summary, detail and actions equates to huge time saver!

Kommentare: I no longer have to listen to recordings to take notes for meeting recaps. It is all done for me by Fathom. Fathom does an incredible job at summarizing the call, listing the main speaking points reviewed on the call, documenting the actions conveyed on the call and who owns them. I can even highlight certain speaking points with custom tags as needed (i.e. needs review, feedback, etc). I also no longer have to deal with the hassle of granting access to folders and recordings to each user on a call. It is automatically done for me by Fathom. Fathom provides a preference to automatically send the meeting recap, with video and transcription.

Vorteile:

Every time I receive a call summary from Fathom I am floored at how accurate it is at summarizing the call, capturing all the main speaking points in detail, the action items and who owns them. I love the fact I can set a preference to automatically send the recap, video and transcript to all call participants. Bottom line, it saves me an immense amount of time, allowing me to focus on other value add priorities.

Nachteile:

The only downside (and it is minimal) would be the slight delay between the time of starting the meeting and being prompted to add the note taker to my Teams meeting. All the pros of the application far outweigh this one slight inconvenience.

Essential Tool for Streamlined Meeting Management

I appreciate how Fathom enhances my work as an EA. The summary feature is incredibly helpful, and the AI-generated action items keep our tasks organized. Since the entire company uses Fathom, it has become integral to our workflow, enabling us to easily access information and review meeting notes.

Nachteile:

The integration with Teams could be improved for a smoother experience.
