Kommentare: My overall experience with ProtonVPN is overwhelmingly positive with a couple of drawbacks and I love the security aspect of it all.

Vorteile:

I love the ability for anyone on the team to checklist any location or region of the globe to use as the provided location for a given web service.

Nachteile:

I did not love the user interface and general lack of content on the platform, which is outcompeted by the other VPNs in the industry.

Excellent VPN but with her margins to improve

Kommentare: The app and the service are very good and very much solid from every point of view. Despite the gripe described above due to the absence of automation features in the app, I still wholeheartedly recommend ProtonVPN. Might no be the fastest nor the cheaper, but I deeply share their sustainable business model and ethic, which is very attentive to privacy and security, without selling themselves to the highest bidder like almost every other VPN company around (just look at the amount and quality of ads!), which mainly have profit in mind (which is not bad per se, but I find Proton’s way safer for the user and mirroring my personal ideas).

Vorteile:

Install and operation is as simple as it gets, just 1 click (literally: “connect now”) unless you want or need more specific settings o specific servers or profiles. The selection of servers is great and with a lot of coverage, and so far I didn’t notice much of an impact to speed or ping times with casual mobile and pc usage. The app is nice and easy to use on every platform (although Linux is said to be neglected) and strikes a good balance, for my use case, between features and friction. You can also use an openvpn or WireGuard generic client if you prefer so!

Nachteile:

My biggest gripe is that the default app does not allow, on any platform, to select always-on or always-off networks, to allow automations like turning off the VPN at home or turning it on automatically at work and the many combinations in between (especially if tied with other automation / shortcuts app). You can achieve this by download the relevant profiles from the website and using a third party generic OpenVPN or WireGuard client, but it’s less than option for new users and you’re tied to the specific server you download the configuration for - meaning you cannot benefit from options like connecting to a random server or the fastest available within the chosen country. Many competitor offer such a feature and, while achievable, still looks like a big shortcoming for me.

Proton is a Go-Ton

Kommentare: Fairly well ease of usage, although I wish the customer service was just a bit more willing to help the customer. I have witnessed much better than this, therefore there is room for some improvement.

Vorteile:

I love all things Proton from this company as they have many items available with the highest of secure features.

Nachteile:

Difficult to manage a VPN and connect to my every day usage of things such as my printer.

Top-Tier Open Source VPN

Kommentare: This is an excellent option for a VPN; plenty of server locations and great speed. I'm on a paid plan, but their free plan is great if you only need 1 device connection.

Vorteile:

I like that the code is 3rd party audited and the results are published. They also make the ownership structure clear and don't employ shady marketing tactics. They are also located in a privacy friendly country.

Nachteile:

This service is newer than many of the established VPN providers, so the apps and other features are still being polished.

amazing streaming service support and lots of servers!

Kommentare: i'd say very good and stress free. a few other vpns either have issues connecting or they slow my internet speed but proton works great for me.

Vorteile:

i love the fact that i have access to multiple servers in various countries and with lots of them being able to bypass geo-locked contents on netflix and amazon prime in the US. I'm resident in a country without quality internet service and this has served well. crazy, but proton helps increase my internet speed hence my daily use of it. very good connection time almost never disconnects until i do myself

Nachteile:

most servers are marked as spam on IP detector sites and that sends a wrong impression to some sites that i visit. i'd like if the servers dont get discovered easily when scanned

I like most it's price, it is cheaper than other vpn apps. And it has a lot of function.

Nachteile:

Free trial version is useless. It has speed limit and not able to choose country. You should buy premium membership.

Some features that are great about ProtonVPN are: 1. When you are trying to access quality content on streaming sites, which may or may not be available in certain demographics, ProtonVPN is ideal to access content on Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, etc. 2. Streaming any form of content is quite easy with this platform. You can also download and upload audio/ video content with relative ease. 3. There is a Free version that allows you to test the software and analyze a few alternatives to see if it is a good fit. You can also purchase the Premium version as well. 4. The download speed is fast and safe. It also promises the security of personal data while using its services. 5. ProtonVPN is a highly well-structured and designed platform with peak optimation of the servers provided.

Nachteile:

Some of the aspects of the platform that was not very appealing were:1. It functions well on all devices, although it is priced slightly higher than other VPN companies. It is higher by around 15% of the market prices. However, taking a 2-year plan would work out cheaper but it is quite a long duration for a purchase. 2. Free version offers 3 server options only. 3. It is slightly difficult to have it work on gaming consoles.

ProtonVPN free

Kommentare: The overall experience with ProtonVPN can be considered positive, because with the free version i have been able to do everything i needed to do with that.

Vorteile:

The most important pro is the possibility to use that for free and in a super easy and fast way. It works very well

Nachteile:

The most important cons can be two:1. Very few country to choose from in the free version;2. Sometimes it seems not work as it should so you need to reset your VPN

Kommentare: Uso Proton VPN quotidianamente per una questione di privacy e per la sicurezza generale del pc e in fase di navigazione: anche solo la versione free basta se non avete pretese o richieste specifiche.

Vorteile:

Ho provato diverse VPN free, alcune integrate direttamente nei browser, ma questa attualmente è senza dubbio la migliore.I server sono situati in Svizzera, sinonimo di sicurezza e privacy.Si hanno a disposizione un 20 / 25 server in tre nazioni (U.S, Olanda e Giappone) La grafica e le funzionalità sono intuitive e facili da usare.La velocità di connessione è superiore alle aspettative e superiore a (molte) VPN concorrenti.E' presente anche un app mobile e l'offerta free è sicuramente la piu ricca e completa sul mercato.La funzione premium ha diversi piani di abbonamento a prezzi abbordabili e per tutte le tasche.

Nachteile:

Se proprio devo dire una criticità, forse i server free sono "pochi": in realtà numericamente bastano e avanzano ma spesso il traffico è congestionato, specie nelle ore serali.Inoltre mancano le funzioni p2p nei server free mentre sono presenti solo nei server a pagamento, ma dipende dalle esigenze, infatti a me questa mancanza non pesa affatto.

Proton Vpn: pareri dopo più di un anno di utilizzo giornaliero

Kommentare: Proton è un'affidabile azienda svizzera che rispetta la privacy, mi ha permesso di connettermi a siti che ritenevo poco sicuri senza dover aver timore di subire attacchi o inconvenienti, inoltre mi ha permesso di apparire come un utente proveniente dagli stati uniti per usare dei servizi attualmente disponibili solo negli USA.

Vorteile:

Di ProtonVPN ho adorato la velocità (persino più veloce di sue competitor a pagamento già con la versione free), la grafica molto intuitiva anche per un principiante e molto accattivante e moderna come design, e il fatto che la connessione rimane sempre stabilissima, come vpn ovviamente fa si che tutto il traffico di rete venga criptato tramite i loro server, inoltre facendo l'account per la vpn ti ritrovi anche l'account utilizzabile per altri servizi proton come protonmail o drive, anch'essi molto utili già dal piano free. pagando per la vpn 10 euro mensili (prezzo altino rispetto ai competitor) sblocchi principalmente server di tantissime nazioni tramite cui connetterti e una maggiore velocità.

Nachteile:

alcuni ip sono blacklistati su parecchi siti, si può benissimo ovviare al problema cambiando server finchè non ne trovi uno che vada bene. il prezzo è leggermente alto se paragonato a quello dei competitor.

Migliorabile

Kommentare: Premessa che ho utilizzato al versione gratuita, è un qualcosa di utile se si vuole avvicinarsi al'utilizzo di una VPN senza dover pagare costi mensili ad un provider.

Vorteile:

Permette gratuitamente di utilizzare una VPN, agganciandosi a server anche in diversi continenti, senza limiti di tempo o periodi di prova. L'interfaccia è molto comoda da utilizzare (basta selezionare il paese ed uno dei server in esso disponibili). Decisamente ben fatta è poi la schermata per poter visualizzare real time la mappa di instradamento della connessione tra la propria posizione ed il server selezionato.

Nachteile:

I server, perlomeno con la versione gratuita, sono pochi e spesso la connettività è lenta, si blocca o cade.

Da esperienza Personale, e non lavorativa, ho utilizzato Proton VPN per garantire la mia privacy informatica quando navigavo, ha un qualcosa in più rispetto ad altre applicazioni VPN, già con la versione gratuita si riesce ad utilizzare perfettamente.

Nachteile:

Non mi è piaciuto molto la non possibilità di usare il programma free contemporaneamente per piu di due o tre dispositivi, un pò limitata.

High security vpn

Kommentare: I use both atlas and proton VPN for my work. The proton VPN provides more secure and encrypted system. While atlas provides faster connectivity.

Vorteile:

It's high level encryption and security is top notch. The user interface is appealing in mobile platforms without any cluster of features. It also provides many locations with high internet speed.

Nachteile:

Although it provides any locations it provides only few for the free trial and occasionally has internet issues even with upgradation.

Well, Overall it's have so many benefits, but I faced issue in Linux. While I was using Proton VPN in Linux. Some time's its freeze my system. but this is sometimes happened overall VPN is really good!
