Kommentare: Mentorjam has allowed me to create a community where we share online courses, collateral, have conversations, share events, and use the structure to enrich the mentoring experience. These things differentiate from traditional social platforms and we own it so we can't get locked out or lose our people. The privacy and exclusive nature of the community also allows people to come as they are and connect authentically.
Everyone knows facebook or meta can change any minute. The times of parking your content all over social media sites is ending and it is critical to own your platform for community connection. For us, we wanted to build the largest ongoing online community for women in technology. We saved a lot just dropping Kajabi for our courses. This platform is more user friendly, flexible, and I feel like we are able to grow with it over time. The mentoring capabilities are super amazing. The customer support and buy in from the team to help you achieve your vision is also great! Highly recommend.
I think just adjusting it to what you need is key. The software is like a canvas, so you have to add the paint. That part is harder, but not related as much to the software.

The service is very good, the communication is always clear. The platform has many features and we use it daily. They are constantly improving and the modules are very good to use. All aspects of providing info to our users is available. They help us get future-ready. Big errors are quickly fixed.
Many errors occur regularly that prevent us from sending the content or events. This makes it hard for us to get our colleagues to use it regularly.
"One-Stop Shop" with a lot of potential
Kommentare: StellarUp is our NGO’s first technology partnership since we were established over four years ago. The platform is quite multi-functional, and its capabilities are well-suited for exactly what our organisation is trying to achieve – which is community building, knowledge sharing, and developing impactful mentor programmes for young adults. I appreciate this collaboration and the support from the entire team.
The platform is multi-functional. The customer success team is always very responsive (typically within a day or two) and supportive of our requests to resolve anything, provide additional guidance, and address changes to the platform that we needed.
The onboarding process took much longer than I initially expected. We don't have the full access as admin to independently process certain platform changes, so we need to channel some requests to the customer success team. Very minor (UX) bugs during the deployment period (which I guess is normal, and either way they were subsequently addressed or flagged by the internal team).
The product wasn't ready - but it has potential and a good team behind it
Kommentare: We used StellarUp's mentorship platform from March 2023 - June 2023 but moved to another platform as we felt the platform was not ready for us. The people in the team were friendly and listened to our issues throughout our partnership with them. Our customer services rep was helpful at onboarding staff and responsive. A senior member of the team joined several calls to acknowledge the flaws in our product compared to the MVP we had experienced before purchase. This person explained what the company was doing to address the flaws. As we off-boarded we were contacted by organisational leaders who requested feedback and reflected on it. Our experience with the people at StellarUp overall was good, it was the product that wasn't ready. While StellarUp was not ready for us, we believe it has potential. Had it worked fully then it would have presented good value for money compared to competitors.
We had useful onboarding calls with the team as we got onto the platform. We liked the range of functions on the platform - unfortunately few of them worked as expected 100% of the time.
1. The platform was difficult for our mentors and mentees to use.For example - there were two different ways to create and join a mentorship call. This was not explained to users as part of any onboarding so, before we addressed the issue through our own comms, we had a number of users try to speak to each other and end up on different calls without understanding that was the case.2. Performance/Speed of the platform.It was too slow our users in many areas in the Middle East and North Africa where internet speeds are slower.3. Too many issues with administrative functions- In our last weeks with the platform we were unable to upload videos, edit profiles or change our users' allocation to programs
Great Mentoring and Community Building Platform Out There.
Kommentare: Excellent experience so far (2+ years), exceptional customer service and the platform is a game-changer.
Our audience is built up of users who grew up around technology and those that did not - and both find it relatively accessible, straightforward and extremely helpful for mentoring. I like how the team has put a lot of thought behind the options users would want/need in the platform. Many of the questions one would have when using the platform (e.g. can I video call from it? etc) have all been answered which is super helpful.
This is difficult to say given the pros.
