FileZilla Review

Kommentare: This is a superb piece of software that I can highly recommend. I use FileZilla as part of my daily routine and I have very few usage issues.

Vorteile:

FileZilla is a free software tool for moving different files to data hosting services. It is easy to install and comes with most of the features you will ever need for transferring files. FileZilla allows you to bookmark your FTP credentials making it easy to reconnect and manage mutiple connections. You can open a number of different FTP connections at the same time. This is great for anyone managing website hosting. The bookmarked FTP credentials can be exported and imported to other FileZilla installations or used as backups.

Nachteile:

It is very difficult to fault this particular piece of software as it comes fully featured. However on occasions the FTP software can become bogged down with numerous file transfers. A simple restart of the software usually corrects this.

Secure file transfer process and one of the best at it

Kommentare: We used it for automation processes where we would export data from our platform, place it on the sftp and then pick it up and ingest it into another part of our platform. Our clients also utilized their sites to place data files for pickup by our platform.

Vorteile:

We used it for so many different parts of the business. It was great to have a secure file transfer portal for all of our clients, plus we have access to all of our clients folders but they only had access to theirs

Nachteile:

The UI was outdated, it seems like it was built in the early 2000's and very little updates have happened

UI seems to come from 10 years ago. Maybe more. But probably this is just a normal fact.

Previously I paid for professional FTP software

Kommentare: We manage several servers and our customers have FTP access to a variety of protected areas across several servers to upload and download large video files. We're comfortable using Filezilla as well as recommending it to our customers.

Vorteile:

Filezilla is very versatile and easy to use. FTP is an integral tool in my toolbox when transferring files and accessing items on our various servers. It has never failed me and is updated consistently to provide a great experience. It's built in error checking works great to ensure you're aware of any failures that you can easily retry.

Nachteile:

The software update process could be improved for the Mac. Currently, you download the latest version and replace the prior version with the current version manually. It would be nice if the update was more automated.

FileZilla for FTP transfers

Kommentare: I use Filezilla to trasfer data via ftp, and I can install it on Windows (client and server), Linux or Mac. Filezilla is easy to install and use, often updated for better security.

Vorteile:

Filezilla helps me a lot whan I nees to transfer/download files via FTP (especially when I work on websites). The interface is simple and easy to understand: You have your local files and folders and next the remote resources. Just connect filling the fields with credendial. Then you will be able to upload/download your files and folders. In the lower section of the windows program, you will see the statistics (queued files, failed and successful transfers). Filezilla is free and it's a lightweight program, never hangs.

Nachteile:

By default it sets to start at windows login, sometimes it's annoying.

Easy uploading interface

Kommentare: FileZilla has been my go-to file uploading software for over ten years -- it's become my old-and-crotchety "I don't want to change" connection software. The site manager is easy to use, server data and logins are easy to store, and the GUI is easy to navigate. Dragging files from the windows File Explorer to the open server is especially helpful. The progress bars of each in-progress transfer are visible and clear, and you can change priorities of each upload easily enough. You can have multiple connections open in multiple tabs, and you even get the red carpet service of being asked if your new connection should replace the current tab, or form its own. Occasionally, it hiccups. The hiccups aren't always FileZilla's fault -- sometimes it tries to spam-connect by default when it can't get through the door. Other times the buttons seem to stop working entirely, forcing me to "turn it off and turn it back on again." Simple enough solve, though. Overall, highly recommended for those who want an easy, graphical way to connect to servers.

Nachteile:

-Sometimes buttons stop working, requires closing and re-opening to fix

FileZilla- the only software you need for transferring files to your server

Kommentare: It has been a very easy to use system. The learning curve is very low, and the system almost always works flawlessly. Once in a while there is a connectivity slow-down, but I would blame the server or the ISP rather than FileZilla, but I cannot pinpoint it exactly and it is a very minor inconvenience when it occurs.

Vorteile:

FileZilla is an extremely efficient system used to connect your local computer to a server, easily, quickly and securely.

Nachteile:

I've been using it for over a decade, and it works great. In today's modern AI world, I would like to see FileZilla automatically upload files that I am working on throughout the day, but doing it manually is fine.

User friendly file sharing software

Vorteile:

No training is required. It is as easy as using Windows Explorer.

Nachteile:

Files shown in FileZilla may not be updated once you change something on local computer.

A very good FTP

Kommentare: Overall I am very happy as a FileZilla user. It makes my life easy. Whenever I want to connect to any of my server I can select from the list and connect.

Vorteile:

I mostly like the easiness of using FiliZilla. It has two pans UI. In the left side pan, It shows files from our local system, and in the right pan, It shows files from the connected server.We can simply drag and drop left to right or right to left. It also allows us to save many server credentials which makes life easy to connect to a particular server.

Nachteile:

I haven't found a single issue in using FileZilla till now.

FileZilla: Best Value FTP

Kommentare: FileZilla is a classic for good reason: it just works. Fast, unencumbered by bells and whistles (I'm looking at you, Dreamweaver!), this is the first FTP client you should reach for.

Vorteile:

FileZIlla presents a traditional FTP user interface that most developers will be able to use intuitively. This is a fully-featured, cross-platform FTP client. For free.

Nachteile:

The user interface is pretty clunky and outdated at this point.

Quick and stable FTP client

Kommentare: An absolute gem for working with FTP. It does only that, but you won't need anything else.

Vorteile:

Lightweight, customizable, stable, standard-adherent, fault tolerant, automated: basically everything you want from an FTP client it's there. Its server counterpart, FileZilla Server is also a neat software.

Nachteile:

I'm struggling to find cons to FileZilla, of course it has some bugs but in my many years of real life usage i encountered them maybe once. Maybe a related con is the relative difficulty to obtain it without getting harassed by adware, offers, and so on.

A must-have tool for the admin of the website

Kommentare: Filezilla is an ftp client, a tool that I use as a website administrator, hosting administrators provide their programs but they are not as good and complex in my opinion as this one, it works very well, I have no problem with it and I have been using it for several years, it is also Linux version

The design is as simple as windows 98;) but it has its charm and on the other hand it's also cool that the program doesn't change visually it's a sign of stability

Great tool to tranfer file between different OS

Kommentare: I am using this tool for the past 7 years. As a developer, I have to deploy my changes into server continusly. Filezilla helps to transfer files into linux server with lighting speed. We can change the linux file mode using this tool. Connecting a server is a simple option. "Quickconnect' option is a great option, where we can connect server with stored server detail. Navigating server directories , Creating new directories options are simply supper. I will recommend this to my firends.

Vorteile:

Very Easy to install and configure. Configure and connecting to server is very simple. Setting part will help us to setup display option.

Nachteile:

Installing the client side app is bit critical. We dont have web option. Instead we have install locally.

A popular FTP solution but great!

Kommentare: I've been using this software for more than 7 years. I still use it because, in terms of FTP, for a beginner user, you don't need to much. You just need stability, security and reliability. Three things that you really get with filezilla.

Vorteile:

When I was searching for a free ftp solution this was the most popular. You can't go wrong with it. It is very stable, free and easy to use! So choosing it to upload and manage files for your site it's super easy with filezilla.

Nachteile:

The user interface seems a little old fashion, eve though you get used to it.

File Transfer Securely using the Filezilla

Kommentare: File Transfer securely using the Filezilla which is having the FTP, SFTP options. And also it supports multiple logon type such as Normal type, Key File etc.

Vorteile:

Simple tool to transfer data from Windows to Linux Machine. Secure way of transferring the files from Windows to Linux and vice versa. Having option to save the connection information which will be useful when we need to connect the server again

Nachteile:

Need to integrate this with Putty or Xshell so that we don't need to maintain two connection configuration

Great FTP client which I've used for years!

Vorteile:

It's free, open source and works very well on all platforms I've used, Ubuntu/Linux and Windows.

Nachteile:

It looks a bit old fashion but that does not matter as it works very well! Sometimes it can hang though so I have to restart it. Something with the drag and drop feature not working at all times I think.

Great software for exchanging files with remote machines

Kommentare: I'm using FileZilla to exchange files with remote machines. These are often multiple files (up to 50) containing several GB of data (up to 200 GB all). FileZilla is handling that great and also provides possibility to pause the transfer queue. It's very useful as I sometimes need to move my laptop outside of network and this doesn't disrupt whole file transfer. Even if I forget to pause the queue, than FileZilla is capable of resuming transfer of the files (though it require some manual selection of which files should be replaced or not). In general this is the best software for file exchange and I can only highly recommend that.

FileZilla is working very smooth. It provides possibility to prepare a queue of files to transfer, pause it, resume files transfer.

Nachteile:

It's really hard to find any drawback, as this is the best software of this kind that I've ever used.

FTP easy for every OS.

Kommentare: When deploying hardware on different places all over the manufacturing plant is hard to go and solve software related issues regardless of the daytime, so connecting and updating the firmware the devices are running is very easy using FileZilla, also transferring data acquired from this devices on regular basis is pretty handy.

Vorteile:

The way you can connect to different kind of OS remotely without the need to go on the production floor.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the software doesn't connect and you don't know why.

Perfect FTP solution

Kommentare: My (and others in our organization) overall experience with FileZilla has been a great experience. Couldnt ask anymore from a FTP program!

FileZilla really makes it easy to get files sent/recieved among co-workers. Works right out-the-box and is a really seamless software. The only FTP program we use!
