Kommentare: We used to hire some remote employees in other countries through our own direct entities, however our experience with Oyster has been so positive that we now only hire remotely through them.
Vorteile:
The support, flexibility and communication we receive from the team at Oyster whenever we have any queries or employee changes is exceptional. Their system is easy to use and provides great visibility.
Nachteile:
There is actually very little I can complain about with Oyster. I've used other EORs in the past that I've had issues is, but Oyster is fantastic.

They overpromise and under deliver. They claim to onboard people globally. APAC region they work with multiple sub vendors.. which create lot of issue. They don’t have local presence. For APAC region better use other platforms. Oyster not doing well at all.

Kommentare: Overall I enjoy using oyster. I have never worked for a company where they used a vendor like oyster. It was an adjustment at first but I can clearly see oyster follows the laws and ensures the employee does the same.
Vorteile:
It’s easy to navigate and easy to use. It is easy to use for booking time off and tracking accrual balances. It’s also easy to access all documents pertaining to your contracts etc.
Nachteile:
Only thing I wish is my pay slips would be available sooner.

Easy to use, some things could be improved
Kommentare: Overall it is sufficient for what it does and the platform is relatively simple to use compared to other HR software.
Vorteile:
Easy to sign in and get the basic things I need, like copy of my contract or access to help desk. Also the support is very responsive.
Nachteile:
The way to submit expenses could be a lot easier to do in bulk. I also think some basic common support tasks, like vacation rollover, should be easier to request than me having to fill in a whole ticket from scratch.

Oyster staff has been very helpful and responsive. The platform is very easy to use and we are able to hire our staff overseas. Oyster takes care of all the regulations and management in the country where the employee is hired.
Nachteile:
As a small company, we don't need to integrate Oyster with other software. So no problem around that.

Kommentare: We've had a relatively smooth experience using Oyster for almost 2 years now hiring employees in multiple countries.
Vorteile:
The pricing is transparent and the support team is fantastic in responding to queries in a prompt manner. They also make onboarding employees very easy and handle all the logistics and complexities of local laws and regulations.
Nachteile:
They do not have entities in every country that they operate in which means they rely on local partners to be the actual Employers of Record. This can sometimes create friction in terms of the turnaround time to address employee questions or concerns.
An honest review for a users point of view
Vorteile:
The portal is very well maintained and self-descriptive in nature. It is easy to use since each section has proper details. In my case the signed agreement, payslips etc are pretty well managed in the portal. Also salary disbursement is pretty quick.
Nachteile:
Right now I have not found any cons while using the system.

Vorteile:
Oyster's overall interface is very user-friendly. As a tech start up in the Philippines, we would need to employ foreign talents that the market currently lack. Oyster was critical in terms of labor compliance and payroll administration in those respective countries. We had a very smooth flow with onboarding and offboarding talents.
Nachteile:
The administration fee of Oyster is something that was no longer economically efficient for us.

It's a very intuitive interface. Very helpful to have all the documents easily accessible across employees, contractors. The customer support is pretty great too.
Nachteile:
I don't know if this is an Oyster specific problem or a general challenge with the niche they along with others serve in... but it is painful how much fluctuation there is every month in what is required to pay to our employees overseas, and the tracking of it is very difficult as well. This is likely just due to the fact that they're trying to solve a difficult problem, but I'd say there's still room for improvement there.

This was my first time getting a service like the one Oyster provides, and I can tell that the implementation process and the new hires' process were very smooth. We needed to expand our team in the UK, and with Oyster, we could do that very fast and safely.
Nachteile:
I recommend the Oyster team make sure that the "Comments" text box that is included in the new hire form really saves that information since when I wanted to find that information, once I hired some team members, the notes were gone.
