This is a very user friendly platform. There are great support videos in place and the options to create what you need are limitless with the software.

Great solution for small nonprofits
Vorteile:
DonorSnap is easy to use. My favorite feature is the form builder; the forms integrate nicely with our website and are a great solution for event registration forms that import the data directly into the CRM. I've used both DonorSnap and Saleforce for registration and hands down DonorSnap is far more reliable, simpler, and offers better customization for our needs vs Salesforce. It's also far easier to use both as the administrator and as an end user. I've never had a DonorSnap form fail me. I can't say the same for Salesforce. We use DonorSnap for tracking donors, volunteers, and participants in our programs. DonorSnap keeps their software updated and is very good about offering training and notifications of any server maintenance that may disrupt use (it never does).
Nachteile:
The report features are very robust but not always intuitive to set up and run. Fortunately if you get stuck, DonorSnap's support team is fabulous and will help you to figure it out.
DonorSnap is a Great Database.
Kommentare: My experience has been great. Databases are hard; everyone wants something tailored perfectly to their needs. I've worked with a few larger databases that have a lot of additional features/customizations (and are more expensive!) and I think DonorSearch works just as well. I find DonorSnap is fantastic for the price, and the customer service is great.
Vorteile:
The customer service is great. Typically, when I submit a ticket, someone gets back to me that day. Often, they get back to me within an hour or so.
Nachteile:
There are some customizations I wish I could make. For example, having the ability to make a custom tab.

Great basics, but communucation tools lacking or are too generic
Kommentare: Sales, data transfer, and workshops have been good. I feel like the staff does its best to fully answer questions and solve problems. But with the overall limitations of the communications functions, there's only so much they can do.
Vorteile:
The client database is straightforward and easy to use. The fields are intuitive and you can adapt or add per your own needs. Screen layout when searching can be tough because of long rows but pulling up individual contacts is easy. I love that you can copy data right from the viewing screen without having to open the editable contact. The help features are user friendly and usually address the most common problems. I like that there are videos as well as written materials on various topics.
Nachteile:
The communication tools are sorely lacking. Email, letters, and forms are way too basic and challenging to edit. There does not seem to be a feature allowing you to change line spacing within a form or in the Automated Task Manager. In addition, I had to keep canceling the project and restarting because after one attempt to edit an ATM task, the system won't let you make additional edits. You have to start over. The emails come out looking like you emailed directly from your email provider. You are limited to one image insert, they are hard to edit, and you cannot add a form directly into the email. I have yet to send out an email from DonorSnap because it looks so pedestrian and ... boring. We are still using MailChimp for its visual features, which of course defeats the purpose. The forms are "okay" but come out looking like a child made them. Totally lackluster, but functional. I'll be honest: I am embarrassed to send out communications and put the forms on our website. If we leave DonorSnap for another product, it will because of the generic communication tools. The query tools used in creating tasks are not intuitive. If it weren't for the help videos I would never be able to implement these.

The DonorSnap email tools are aimed at providing easy access to mass emailing and automation for all organizations. With some html experience or a third party html email template builder, you can build the same types of emails in DonorSnap. In the future we hope to add similar template builders as well. Ready in a Snap
Kommentare: DonorSnap gave our organization a way to reach out to current, past, and potential donors without wasting time, money, or effort on fruitless ventures. They have maximized the return on our advertising dollars. By following their platform, we have been able to make the same investment into advertising that we have over the past several years while getting a much better return on our investment.
Vorteile:
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on donations to be able to operate, we have come to rely on DonorSnap to maintain contact with our donors, to alert them to new fundraising initiatives, and to track where donations are coming from. In the short time we have used it, we have already seen a spike in donations from this quarter last year to this quarter this year. The part I like most about DonorSnap is that our donors do not feel as though they are being hassled for money. Instead, because of the professional setup that DonorSnap allows us utilize, our donors feel more connected to both our organization and our mission.
Nachteile:
The initial setup fee seemed steep at first, especially when we did not know whether we would see a return on our investment. However, now that we have had it up and running for several months, it has paid for itself and for the initial fees.

Kommentare: Overall, there are no complaints. Customer service is excellent since they answer any questions that I have right away and follow up to make certain that I understood. Videos for previous trainings are available 24/7 which helps with any refreshers that I might need. Even after watching the videos even if there are any questions, I know that I can reach out and get help if for some reason I did not understand.
Vorteile:
User friendly which is great since I am not so computer savvy.
Nachteile:
When printing donor list for mailing even those that are marked in their accounts as no mailing still come up and having to sort through all of those is time consuming.

Powerful tool for your growing non-profit!
Kommentare: We launched as a 501c3 in 2014 with DonorSnap. Today we are beyond 10,000 contacts and the software continues to keep up. We use the volunteer module, event registration, mass email, giving forms, donor card systems, and so much more. As a very involved user of the software, I highly recomend the software for your growing non-profit.

Powerful CRM resource for non-profits, with benifits that are far beyond the cost. I love that DonorSnap is constantly improving the software to have new and better functionality.
Nachteile:
The app is useful for viewing donors, but is limited in its functionality for the development team.
Donorsnap is an excellent investment!
Kommentare: The flexibility of the Donorsnap platform is a big plus. Our organization has developed customized responsive forms/ donor interface, data entry screens, communications, reports and other tools that maximize efficiency and accuracy for our donor stewardship needs. Has required a commitment to ongoing training and quality assurance to realize the full benefits of this multi-functional platform.
Vorteile:
Our small non-profit organization has used the Donorsnap platform almost daily since we signed on in August, 2020. In addition to an incredible array of options, reports, integrations and additional features for a reasonable monthly fee, their customer support and commitment to user training is phenomenal. A well-designed HELP website directory has been very useful to refer to for training or refreshers. The team is also responsive and provides helpful support. If you use the responsive forms online, donor information goes directly into your database. In addition, the preferred payment platform has been able to offer competitive rates and assistance as well.
Nachteile:
Highly useful databases are hard! There is a substantial learning curve to master the many useful activities that this platform provides.

Kommentare: As a new Executive Director for our non-profit organization, I have been thrilled with all of the trainings that Donorsnap offers. I have attended many virtual sessions, all of which have been so helpful. If I have a question, I am almost always able to find an answer (and usually a recorded training) on Donorsnap's help page. This has been a life-saver for me, and I now feel very confident with Donorsnap's features. I use Donorsnap for just about everything: online forms, database management, emails, address labels, reports, etc. I seriously do not know what I would do without it. Their customer service team is excellent--if I ever have a question, I hear back promptly from an actual real, live person (no recorded message or bot!)! 10/10 I highly recommend Donorsnap!

To ensure inactive contacts don’t appear in your exported lists, follow these steps: From DataMiner Platinum: Go to the "Data Export Selection" tab, scroll down to the "Additional Options" section, and select "Active Only" from the Contact Status dropdown. A Great Product at a Reasonable Price
Kommentare: My experience has been very good and the support team is great. Any time I have a question I get a reply almost immediately during business hours.
Vorteile:
I came to DonorSnap after using Raisers Edge and Salesforce in previous jobs. I found DonorSnap very easy to use and fills most of our needs as a small non-profit.
Nachteile:
It took a little while to learn how to create reports that would give me the data I need.
Affordable but Powerful
Kommentare: A little confusing to use in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Customer support is really fast as well. There are so many tools within this application that nonprofits really need.
Vorteile:
The price range was within our budget. We are so happy with what you get for the price you pay.
Nachteile:
The UI should be updated to make it easier for customers to navigate the application.

The flexibility & options of this program can seem overwhelming. In the beginning, as a novice, I thought I would be sunk... but the DonorSnap team is quick to reply with tips and solutions to inquiries.

Excellent training and customer support
Kommentare: Using mass uploads have allowed us to keep track of individual touches with donors much more easily and also track all donations and events attended. We have better relationships with our donors across specific users with all the functionality of this system. With the integrations, we've been able to launch an email newsletter to compliment our printed newsletter AND grow online giving.
Vorteile:
It was very easy for me to learn how to use DonorSnap using the tutorials, regular courses and other features. The customer service staff is outstanding, very responsive and thorough when I have questions or want more detailed information about a feature.
Nachteile:
The ability to link specific gifts, such as soft credits for matching gifts, would be very, very helpful. Also, the integration with Constant Contact to pull an email list based on specific gifts is also badly needed.
A change well worth making!
Kommentare: From the moment we signed on with Donorsnap, we knew we had made the right decision. From the IT folks who helped us get our database transferred over, to the live and custom training, to our email and live online exchanges, it is not an overstatement to say we feel like we're part of the Donorsnap family. Very engaging, friendly, competent people that it's truly a pleasure to work with.
Vorteile:
Donorsnap packs quite a punch for a 'simple to use' donor management software solution. It processes the routine day to day effortlessly with a great 'duplicate' function for similar-type donations, and has an interface for database queries that is accessible even to those without IT degrees. Very little external help is necessary (quite plug and play), but the support is lightning fast when you DO need it. Our first major fundraising effort since switching went seamlessly with our volunteers quickly getting up to speed with the user-friendly interfaces.
Nachteile:
There are a lot of features that don't quite mesh up with how we have our Quickbooks set up, and the automatic interfaces (with goEmerchant, batch processing, tax statements etc. ) look like they would still require some intervention on my part in order to fully utilize, or changes to the way we currently track the donations. That being said, the functionality is there if I ever could devote the time to fully integrating and I can do what I need to do with modest efforts. Also there is a couple second delay whenever you go from one tab to another in the database, but it's barely a distraction.
Easy to Use and Great for a Small Non-Profit
Vorteile:
We were looking for a new donor database that would be easy to learn and would not require our small non-profit to hire a developer every time we needed to set up something new or keep up with the various changes and upgrades with Salesforce. Donor Snap is affordable and has most of the same features as the big guys. The online forms make getting donation info into the system "a snap," and while its basic fields are enough to get started it allows for plenty of customization. The reporting features are robust (though you do need to know Excel and understand query strings to get the most out of it) The support team is excellent and responds quickly.
Nachteile:
The UI feels dated and everything exported works best with MS Office. We don't really use communication tools outside of the acknowledgment letters because the design options are basic and clunky compared to the other platforms we use for this. I wish that the forms could use logic and that a donor could send a tribute card directly from the system but in general, we are very pleased with the decision to switch to Donor Snap.
DonorSnap saves time, thus money!
Kommentare: DonorSnap has elevated our donor relations. It allows us to keep up with our donors, and send information that is relevant to them. It has tremendously helped with tracking our campaigns and fundraising goals.
Vorteile:
DonorSnap is our first Donor CRM software. I don't know what we did before we had it. DS allows us to analyze our donor giving and see trends. It also makes customizing campaign lists easy so we can better reach specific donors. Pulling lists, whether it's for batch emails, or mailing lists is so efficient. We are able to reach our donors in a more meaningful way because of DonorSnap and the contact notes we can keep, reports we can run, and correspondence we can send.
Nachteile:
There is a learning curve. I know, I have only scratched the surface of this software. However, [sensitive content hidden] do an AMAZING job of getting you up and running, and keeping you running. They are ALWAYS available in a timely manner to answer questions, and the online training is exceptional, as well as the history bank of training materials they offer. Also the Facebook community is wonderful about sharing information.

The Responsive Forms for receiving online donations, and for allowing our clients to use our services, are the heart of our nonprofits day-to-day operation.The online, real-time training seminars are very well done. And the library of training videos are always available and helpful to review, periodically.The Support group response time is fantastic, and they are always able to help answer questions and resolve issues.
Nachteile:
Like anything, some people find online programs like DonorSnap easy and intuitive, while others just cannot grasp what is going on. We have some of that going on in our nonprofit. But overall, it has been a valuable tool.
DonorSnap for Membership management
Kommentare: DonorSnap has provided us with an easy-to-use, reliable, and flexible member and donor database. The software continues to improve and offer new features while providing a significant library of resources for all functions. We are looking forward to expanding our use of DonorSnap for member communications and for volunteer management.
Vorteile:
Although not specifically designed for tracking memberships in our non-profit organization, DonorSnap is easily customizable to accommodate this function. It is straightforward to use and the user-defined fields provide all the fields needed to manage and track our membership donations. DonorSnap allows us to easily send renewal notices and reminders to more than 450 members, with custom cover letters. Reports are easy to run and customize, including producing mailing labels for our newsletter. Having the ability to set up a personalized dashboard and select specific fields for the various screens is important and easy to do. Probably one of the best features is the support that is provided. The online resources available, including webinars and detailed step-by-step instruction guides, are excellent. There are always new training webinars being offered on DonorSnap features. The support from customer service is also excellent with quick responses and follow-up if needed.
Nachteile:
I don't use DonorSnap for our routine membership tracking and for the functions I need, it works well.

DonorSnap offers all of the main features we need to manage our donor and volunteer list. Their customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful, and the help page/trainings are so useful. It's an amazing value for the low price! We rely heavily on their forms for collecting donations, and for registering volunteers.
Nachteile:
Sometimes the platform is a little bit clunky (i.e. the forms take a minute or two to load and people close the window before their form is submitted, and their submission doesn't go through), but there are workarounds.
DonorSnap is perfect for our nonprofit!
Kommentare: I am a one-person department in our small nonprofit organization, so DonorSnap is like having another staff member helping me out! The full-functionality of the product gives me all of the support that I need to be productive and successful at my job.

Opening Doors is a small nonprofit in Dubuque, Iowa. We love how much functionality comes with the affordable price of this software! The layout of the product is easy to follow and we can easily create and print any report that we need. We love the ability to create customized online forms for the various special events that we host. Whenever we need tech support, we get a fast reply. We highly recommend DonorSnap!
Nachteile:
At this time, I don't have any cons to list.
Best bang for the buck!

Vorteile:
DonorSnap is easy to learn with the various webinars and helps. I appreciate using the documents folder as a secure, backup location for important files for each donor and volunteer. I can generate helpful reports to segment my population for the communications most relevant to them.
Nachteile:
I wish there were an option to spotlight key metrics to my dashboard rather than running a report to generate the information that I want, i.e.. lapsed donors, ticklers to contact certain donors or volunteers, week's birthdays, etc.
Sharp Learning Curve
Kommentare: When I arrived at the organization, one of my colleagues expressed how daunting DonorSnap was to use and my board wished they had a program that "could do more things". Based on these opinions I didn't even bother to login for quite some time. There were some changes to personnel and I was forced to dive in. At first glance, I was genuinely lost. But DonorSnap provides great video tutorials that are concise and the perfect length. I began delving into the system and felt like I learned something new every time I used it. After a few hours of exploration and my first round of year end contribution statements, I feel very confident using the system. Full utilization of the automation and other features have increased productivity and made my job so much easier.
Vorteile:
How much functionality and customizability the software has once you spend a little time using and becoming familiar with it. It's never been down or offline anytime I try to access it. The training sessions and videos are well done, easy to access and navigate. Most every question I've had is easily answered on the help site. Customer service is top notch.
Nachteile:
The system doesn't feel intuitive at the start but once you take a little time to dive into it's functionality you'll be pleased with its capabilities. I wish the mass email function weren't html based.
Excellent Software
Vorteile:
The software is excellent, easy to use, and fairly straight forward. Customer Service is amazing and the trainings that are provided weekly are very helpful for someone who comes into the company, new to the software. The additional online trainings that are provided on site are excellent when working on something new and need a step by step or know how immediately.
Nachteile:
Setting everything up the way you want it can be a little tricky as well as modifying once you have set it up a certain way but it does not take away from the total ease and functionality of the system.
