Reactor design functions. Can choose from a catalog of reactants, choose the features that you want and it will give a required reactor size that you would need to achieve your desired results.
The toughness just comes from the rigor from chemical engineering in the first place.

Große Stoffdatenbank, viele Unit Operations, einfache Bedienung, exaktes Ergebnis, kurze Rechenzeiten, kompatibel zu Excel und VBA
Irgendwas fehlt immer. In einem solchen Fall hilft die Excel-Unit, deren Algorithmus man leicht selbst erstellen kann.
Very useful for chemical engineers and process teaching
Easy to use and very useful for the learning of chemical processes, especially for students of chemical engineering and professionals in the area
Many students fell behind in the semester because they did not understand their application despite being simple
CHEMCAD: Might take some time but is Versatile
Kommentare: It is very useful software and being a chemical engineer I have used it frequently throughout my bachelors in plant design projects and with no doubt I would recommend Chemcad for the process simulation.
Chemcad is software specially dedicated to the chemical engineers for the process simulation. While it might be difficult for the beginners to understand the interface, once you get soaked in you can make a really good use of it. Chemcad comes up with numbers of features like equipment sizing, equipment design and process economics as well. Also it includes thermophysical calculations. With all those features, it definitely helps engineers from designing a equipment to designing the whole plant as well as performing other calculations too. One might say that other application are better than this, I would definitely argue with that for the fact that it is great value for money
As mentioned earlier, this software might be quite difficult at the beginning because the interface is confusing but there are lots of tutorials and webinars held that will help you to learn. Furthermore, in case of any errors or unexpected results, you have to sort out for the problems manually as the program won’t do itself.

Thank you for your review, Aayush. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you ever have any questions about how to use the software. There is no cost for support as long as you have a current lease.
While Chemcad is a great simulation tool, it is slow, crashes easily, and is extremely sensitive.
For processes that are not too complex, this software is easy to pick up on.
Process design with multiple unit operations is extremely difficult and Chemcad rarely converges. Little to no troubleshooting available.
A great tool for the every day chemist.
Kommentare: Is the best option for analytical chemistry out there
Without a doubt is one of the most practical softwares in analytical chemistry, it has a lot a features, and you can handle your equipment and do the interpretation all in the same software. Also it's easy to write macros and change the features you find complicated.
It takes a great time to master the software, there in a lot of the versions the manage of the signal is very hard and the help assume you know very practical things in the equipment and the software it self.
Great engineering software for use in teaching chemical process design (and for use in design)
Kommentare: This taught me and my classmates a lot about process design engineering and was a great tool to take many chemical engineering skills and apply them to real life. The online help was also very helpful for topics that may not have been covered in class.
This software works well for chemical process modeling, and was used at my university to teach design to senior design. It had many features that worked well for the course, and basically had everything necessary for us to complete our design project and learn what we needed to. I can definitely see uses in industry as this project gave us a good background on what we could expect with process engineering or process design roles.
It can be difficult to learn, and some people fell behind throughout the semester. Unfortunately, there may not be much that can be done about this. In fact, there are a lot of tutorials and helpful advice on the website, and even some workshops. The toughness just comes from the rigor from chemical engineering in the first place. Some may argue that alternative chemical process design software may be better, but it really is not much better than this in my opinion.
Powerful software for chemical process design but has its limitations
Kommentare: Used to determine and verify design requirements for chemical reactor equipment.
Reactor design functions. Can choose from a catalog of reactants, choose the features that you want and it will give a required reactor size that you would need to achieve your desired results. Can also design heat exchangers, distillation columns, adsorption columns, pumps, ect.
Does not screen for feasibility. This software can only work with the inputs that you give it. So you will have to screen for unreasonable and unexpected results. This only really should be a tool for getting a general idea of plans and should not be the exact plans for any piece of equipment.
Kommentare: I was excellent, I managed to perform the necessary simulation, however, understanding the graphical interface some time is lost
It is excellent for the simulation of food industry processes, such as multireaction petrochemical processes, since it allows the inclusion of the performance and selectivity data
I did not like graphic interdaz, it's unfriendly for a beginner. It should be more didactic, additional there is not much availability of information about the simulator.
Kommentare: overall easier to use than similar programs. For this reason, using this program as an exercise will contribute to the general simulation rules.
first of all it is very easy to use and find detailed explanations. This is the most important advantage. If you are doing simulation for the first time, it is definitely a very important program for you.
In my simulations, the program sometimes gives very illogical errors and this affects the reliability of my result. The database needs to be updated and developed.

Simple and Easy to Learn Software
Kommentare: Overall, very happy with using Chemcad at my small company, allowing us to simulate chemical engineering processes easily.
I love how easy it was to learn how to use this software -- modeling the chemical reactions/components we need took very little time.
The license was fairly expensive, but it seems to be worth it -- it speeds up our modeling time significantly.
Great way to understand chemical dynamics
Kommentare: Great chemical engineering software that allows studying chemical processes at a wide range of levels.
Use of this software is very intuitive. Simpler chemical reactions are readily set up and the dynamics and thermodynamics of those reactions accessible right away for study.
For the moment, the level of this software is too advanced for my needs. I am confident that I will eventually take advantage of many more of its capabilities, but for now the advanced capabilities confuse my analyses sometimes.
Chemcad Improves My Efficiency
Kommentare: Overall, my switch to using Chemcad has allowed me to work much more quickly through similar projects, all while automating much of the calculations I previously had to do by hand.
The Process Flow Diagram editor is a life saver, and is the most useful part of the software for me. It saves tons of time compared to similar software packages.
There was some learning curve to moving from manual to software based diagrams, but the time to learn was definitely worth it. Automatic calculations save lots of time and brain power.

Thank you for the positive feedback, Yossi! Please contact us at email@example.com if you ever have any questions.
Very easy process designing; includes all the tools needed
I was able to apply my chemical engineering education with this software. Most of the components I learned about were there to apply to my designs and I was able to map out the plant design for my colleagues without much training.
The user interface seems a little outdated, but I noticed that with pretty much all software I have used in this sector.

Thank you for the positive feedback, Eli. We are actually updating the user interface for the next CHEMCAD version. So stay tuned!
Simulation and design software useful to chemical engineers
Kommentare: Learned the basics and was able to do a few projects. Would be worth learning more advanced features.
Very helpful for chemical process design. Getting up to speed is simple and more advanced simulation features.
Other software for simulation that seemed more valuable to learn. Once we learned basics in ChemCad we were using other process software.
Great software for calculating everything you need for your process
Very simple with many different unit ops. Thermodynamic models seem to be accurate and effective. Easy to use
Appearance is old looking compared to other flowsheeting software. There needs to be more cost calculating functionality
Kommentare: The software can be used for modelling referigerative cycles
Provides a nice environment for steady state simulations .
Converging of flowsheets with recycling is a bit difficult.
Good use for simpler chemical processes
Interesting software for chemical process design. Good use for simpler chemical processes
What I least like is the fact that it takes to converge in multiple processes
A very customizable tool
Chemcad has the great advantage of having varied and full-function modules for different types of processes and industries. This, in addition to allowing the customization of the software with independent modules that work together according to the needs of each client.
Being a chemical software with so many functionalities makes Chemcad a complex management software for apprentices. However, there are tutorials and examples on the web that can help with this aspect.
