Kommentare: We have loved working with CampMinder. Besides the great software, the responsiveness of the support team and the proactive programmers, CampMinder is also focused on improving Camps through advice and articles about managing a camp. These are real Camp people, not just software people.

Vorteile:

It is flexible enough to tailor to our specific needs and their support is always willing to help you figure out a way to do what you need. They are constantly creating new tools and updating the software.

Nachteile:

The activity scheduling module needs to be improved as it doesn't work for us. Also needs more focus on managing staffing although this is currently in the works and looks to resolve this issue.

CampMinder Gets an A++

Kommentare: I am very pleased with CampMinder. We have used it for the past 7 years or more, and I have become very familiar with the program and I am very happy with how easy it is to create reports, enter and refund payments, access information, and the support team is out of this world! They are knowledgeable and patient and understanding, and if they don't know the answer, they will send it further up the "food chain" and find an answer or solution. I feel very comfortable calling the support team whenever I run into a snag. They have saved me a ton of time. Time that it would have taken me to find a solution on my own! I'm very thankful for them!
I also find that the help section and videos are very useful.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use and many features available. Support team is top notch!

Nachteile:

Unable to have our staff add money to their discretionary fund using a credit card. But we have found a work around. Just would be helpful if this was available.

So many clicks in so little time

Vorteile:

Campminder has so many features to be able to manage your campers and staff effectively. There are a myriad of features to pull up camper reports and information, as well as organizational reports. This system is not lacking in any features. You can pull together a lot of information quickly when you know the software very well.

Nachteile:

It takes a long time to get to know the software and many essential functions are several clicks and menus away from the main page. In order to take attendance the user must click through at least 3 things to get to something so critical. It was difficult for our staff to get used to finding the report functions. Not everyone is utilizing this software to its fullest because it is difficult to learn.

Happy with Campminder

Kommentare: I find Campminder to be a robust system that can accomplish most tasks in an efficient manner. Overall I feel that it meets about 95% of our needs.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of getting customer support. I called many times over the summer! Each time I spoke to a rep who was able to offer thorough answers to my questions.

Nachteile:

We still have to figure out a better way to use the system to track campers who leave camp. Person Tags and Notes are helpful - but they just don't hit the mark. I would also like the system to better flag camper requests & disrequests when creating bunks. Lastly - when creating reports - the column headers always need to be changed before I can share the data with parents. For example, the column header for a parent email address in a report would be F1P1 Login/Email. If I'm sending a report to parents - I have to change the column headings.

Perfect database for camp registration!

Kommentare: Campminder is a great company to work with because of the quality and functionality of the product and the awesome people who work there!

Vorteile:

Campminder is a great database because they understand the needs what year-round camp professionals need in a registration system. Also, all of their customer service reps are helpful, friendly and quick to find solutions and fix issues.

Nachteile:

They are open to feedback and implementing changes across the entire system but it can take time.

Why we chose CampMinder

Vorteile:

Our camp is a safety camp. It is a four week day camp. In our old system, a lot of the features we have in Campminder were in separate places. In CampMinder, at the initial screen, I can identify the camper, identifying characteristics, parent info and so much more. All of my reporting is in one area and student placement in the individual classroom is more simplified. We are enjoying discovering all of the things CampMinder can do!

Nachteile:

The only downside is that since we are new users, discovering all of the nuances of the application.

CampMinder is a vital system for summer camp management

Vorteile:

It is so user friendly, and allows me to access so much information in so many ways. The scheduling tab has saved me hours of doing that by hand, and the reports that I can run tell me quite literally everything I could possibly need or want to know. Their customer support is some of the best I've ever worked with as well. I always joke that when I call them I'm calling my "best friends" because they are always so kind and helpful. They are also always very understanding of the hectic environment that a summer camp can be.

Nachteile:

It can be a little overwhelming to learn to use at first, but once you learn it's very user friendly!

Campland loves Campminder

Kommentare: Love it, I met [sensitive content hidden] at Conference in 2008 and saw his heart and passion. The camp i was with at the time couldn't afford CM, but I kept them on my radar and was so excited to finally get on board in 2015. I am so grateful at how CM supports my suicide prevention programs - it is truly one of the greatest gifts I've received in my career. Thank you!

Vorteile:

Generally, the customer service is top notch. I prefer to learn via voice and hands on - they excel at this and are never frustrated with my many many questions. The mass communication systems make my emails nuanced and efficient. The setup takes work, but pays off. Minus a few creative workarounds, the system is specific to my program and does more than I could do with other registration systems (I've used them all). Campminder is an extension of the magic of camp. The company values the experiences I provide to children. The annual conference, social media and customer service all reflects this. CM wants camps to succeed

Nachteile:

My assigned rep feels distant compared to other reps I've worked with in my 9 years using CM. It's forced me to learn a lot on my own and has been frustrating at times. The overall user interface is overdue for an update. The parent facing services are difficult to use and find for them. I'd love an updated app that gives notifications to parents for payments, forms, updates and pictures

Campminder's a great tool once you learn how to use it!

Vorteile:

I love that Campminder keeps many years of information in one place. If I ever need to know anything about a past participant, I can find it on Campminder. I love the reporting function. I can pull reports with very specific parameters which helps me stay organized.

Nachteile:

Pulling reports on Campminder requires you to memorize tons of codes. Once you have them memorized, it's a wonderful tool.

Can't think of anything - maybe wish the transportation module/scheduling module were better?

Ease of use and so intuitive

Vorteile:

CampMinder is straight forward and intuitive. It gets the job done without too many silly bells and whistles!

Nachteile:

Weird help articles that aren't helpful.

Easy to Use, Versatile, and Great Customer Service

Kommentare: Having so many parts of our business under one software means that we have a comprehensive understanding of every camper and staff member at our fingertips, which makes it easier to personalize our service and respond to individual needs. Easy reporting means that we spend less staff time on licensing and certification compliance, which is incredibly important.

Vorteile:

Campminder is an all-around tool for our camp, allowing us to track campers as individuals and as part of their families; manage their medical, dietary, and logistics needs; track payments and communications; and also do the same with staff. Any time we have needed assistance, Customer Support has been fantastic, giving us thoughtful and efficient advice and making sure our needs are met. Campminder saves us a lot of time.

Nachteile:

I am pretty sure there are a lot of features that we don't make use of yet, but I just saw that there is training being offered to help camps figure out all the ways the software can help, which one of us will attend.

Campminder Review

Kommentare: My overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, from the stellar customer service to the sheer amount of data we use for planning and marketing purposes, Campminder has a great product.

Vorteile:

Campminder was easy to pick up for me as a new user. It has a robust design and is straightforward to explain to colleagues and parents alike.

Nachteile:

If we could schedule emails that would be great, however I understand why it is not a feature of Campminder at this time.

A remarkable tool for every camp!

Kommentare: We work with a specialized camp population which makes the "standard" software hard to apply in our areas of need BUT CampMinder works with us to adjust, accommodate, or individualize as needed. Our suggestions and issues are met with problem solving with our CM team. Can't say enough about the support you get with this software. Every now and then we look at other products but NONE can match the level of functionality or support that we get from CampMinder.

Vorteile:

While the learning curve is steep, the CampMinder team is with you all the way. This software manages so much information and data for our camp. What we can do with that info/data feels endless some days. We love the ability to run reports, gathering specific information needed on every child. They KNOW camps so many reports already exist at the click of a button. Camp people building software for camps. The overall responsiveness to our needs is incredible as well.

Nachteile:

You will need to take the time to learn how to truly utilize all aspects of this software. There are days where I still feel like a novice, even after years of working with it, but I have learned to reach out to my CM support. Once you start to understand how to set up reports, seasons, documents, etc... It starts to click. Realize I am NOT techie at all.

CampMinder Review

Kommentare: I LOVE this software. I am much more efficient completing reports and managing all camper/family information, forms and communications. I can send hundreds of invoices or charge hundreds of credit cards with the touch of a single button!! It used to take me a month with our old software.

Vorteile:

I love the ease of use -its user friendly, I can find what I need to find -where I expect to find it. If at any time I need help I can call a real person -who speaks English -and they will be able to help me AT THAT TIME!!!

Nachteile:

Remembering to click exactly what I what -each little box I need, is sometimes a hassle. I have to pay close attention, otherwise the reports I create may not be accurate. Although I can tell right away if I didn't click all the boxes -the results show immediately.

CampMinder - Our Summer Camp Database Solution

Kommentare: Working with CampMinder has helped us feel confident that the data in the database is accurate. In the past, we worked with other online camp database software that had us constantly questioning if the reports we were pulling were complete and accurate. This is a non-issue with CampMinder. We have been able to move our forms and documents online for parents to fill out and for us to be able to report on. This has helped us become more environmentally friendly, since we are no longer requiring multiple paper forms. We also feel well taken care of when calling in with questions, their customer service team is fantastic.

Vorteile:

CampMinder has impeccable customer service. The software is user friendly and inclusive. Parents and Staff have an easy time navigating and using the features of this program. I love the bunking module because it saves an incredible amount of time. The reporting system is very versatile as well. I like that I am able to follow a person throughout all of their interactions over years with the unified person record. It allows me to see a person as a former camper, former staff member, and a parent of an enrolled camper all in one easy to understand record.

Nachteile:

Some of the modules cost additional money, our camp sees many children, but we do not have the high rates that some other camps charge, so we have to do without some of the modules such as fundraising, because the cost is not something we can incur at this point. I also wish there were a better way to report and email groups across seasons. You can produce reports in different seasons, but across seasons is currently impossible as far as I know.

J Camps Baltimore Loves CampMinder!

Kommentare: Overall, our experience with CampMinder has been excellent. Our camper retention has increased and our parents love the one-stop portal that it provides.

Vorteile:

The CampMinder platform allows us to engage with our camp families and staff in a streamlined manner. We can track applications, enrollments, and trends easily, plus pull customized reports. Their lead management also allows us to turn either an email or phone call into a new camp family. Families have one place to go to complete all their necessary forms and access parent packets, calendars, and more. Our office time has become streamlined and more efficient thanks to this great system.

Nachteile:

CampMinder is currently working on updating their finance side of the system in order to meet the needs of larger camps, like ourselves. Custom reporting in this area would be a huge plus. In addition, the ability to schedule mass emails would be extremely beneficial. We also do not utilize the Photo summer service, as our parents prefer Google Photos, where they can download for free.

A+ To CampMinder!

Kommentare: I wish every company had the customer service skills that CampMinder does. They are always very quick with any inquiries and are constantly taking feedback and using it to improve their platform.

Vorteile:

CampMinder is extremely user friendly and has completely revolutionized my job. We were able to do away with 1,000s of paper forms and Excel sheets and have all of our camper and staff information all in 1 database. From camper registration, forms, staff hiring, and camper bunking, everyone in our organization has greatly benefited from CampMinder. Our parents love how much simpler it is to register, fill out forms, and view summertime photos of their campers all in the same system as well.

Nachteile:

The fundraising section leaves a lot to be desired, but is still helpful for sharing information between our staff.

Great product - growing company

Vorteile:

I love what it does in terms of organizational management. We have used three different programs over the past 15 years and it has handled it has worked the best. They work closely with you on customizing your needs and making sure that you are set up to use it best for your site.

Nachteile:

The photo plug in has much to be desired. It works but often struggles. It would also be great if they could build in a plug in that res'ed down the pictures for camps that have slow internet on site. Their company is great and customer service is awesome when you can get them on the phone. We started with them pretty early on and as they have grown, it has been harder to get a hold of support.

Campminder

Kommentare: We have realized the benefits of being able to have organized communication, records of our campers, and a system for parents to use to apply and continue with their child's enrollment!

Vorteile:

I love how we are able to use the tag system to organize our campers effectively. It works great for what our program is trying to accomplish. I love how we can organize our data, too.

Nachteile:

Campminder has not always been the easiest for our staff to learn how to use. I wish that there were ways to make it easier for new users!

Decent product for managing camp

Kommentare: Camp Minder has proven to be a good way to manage camp enrollments, providing payment flexibility to our camp families. Our Camp Directors appreciate the ability to set up bunk plans, track medical and other data, and create custom reports that fit their needs. The staff at CampMinder is attentive to our needs, and provide prompt replies when questions arise.

Vorteile:

Ease of use for Camp Directors in managing/scheduling camp enrollment. Some flexibility in reporting capabilities. Ability to perform monthly payments electronically. Ability to offer various payment terms.

Nachteile:

Financial portion of the system is not very robust. Minimal amount of financial reports available. When exporting data to Excel, all sessions being attended by one child dump into one column. Could separate this within Excel; however, number of additional columns needed is not consistent.

All around TOP NOTCH EMR!!!

Kommentare: Going on my 3rd year of using CampMinder- it's easy to pick it right back up. CampMinder offers numerous options and features I feel other EMR's should adopt.

Vorteile:

-Extremely easy to use with a user-friendly interface -Remote accessibility -Organized layout to keep all necessary information easily accessible. -Multiple options for printing out various lists/forms

Nachteile:

-No autosave- Occasionally after entering camper data from the nurse's end if you forget to click the "Save" button, everything you entered may be lost. Ex: entering camper meds.

Campminder is an excellent tool for the camping industry.

Kommentare: They do a great job of responding to the needs of our camp as well as the camping industry.

Vorteile:

It provides a space for all the necessary information that is needed for our program. The Campminder Team is always developing tools that meet the needs of the camping industry. We particularly appreciate the ability to add questions, components that mee the needs of our special needs camp.

Nachteile:

Honestly, the cost but that is because we are a small camp.

CampMinder review

Kommentare: Fantastic - has improved the experience for our admin team as well as parents and staff.

Vorteile:

Very comprehensive, plenty of features to accommodate a variety of different camp structures (day camp, overnight camp, etc.). Powerful reporting features make the platform even more customizable. Transportation module works very well for day camps. Email/communication with parents and staff works great and allows us to customize mass emails and save time.

Nachteile:

Sometimes there are long load times - lots of waiting for pages to load. Not able to integrate with other digitals tools we use (Google Sheets, etc.) Sometimes there are too many features (i.e. with medical data collection) that we wish we could turn off.

Many years on Campminder, excellent support from staff and many features

Kommentare: Overall it has been extremely positive. I have always been very happy with their support services in particular. The support staff actually sat down with us and has done calls with us to go through features and how to accomplish certain tasks. The parents don't seem to struggle with it very much which at the end of the day is really what matters to us.

Vorteile:

They have a lot of useful and diverse features. The staff support has been excellent. They are constantly upgrading their product. They use a feedback tool to collect a pool of user feedback and data to make updates rather than just deciding what to do from within. They are consumer minded. They provide support directly to our clients if needed.

Nachteile:

It wasn't particularly easy to learn to use. I have to do a repeat training every year for my staff because they have a hard time remembering features- it is not exactly natural flow. Sometimes it is very inflexible.
