There is no ticketing system for the items I've submitted that are issues.

Nothing that I can think of. Everyone is different. I would say give it a try.

eSUB is a great tool for Subcontractors
Kommentare: The team at eSUB has been very helpful. We even attended the bootcamp, which really helped a couple of our team members become more comfortable with the software. I would encourage every subcontractor that purchases eSUB to send a representative or two from to it.
Vorteile:
The ease of use and how it really dialed in our document control. Our daily reports are standardized now, our PO's can be monitored by our Purchaser and Accounts Payable, our Change Orders are easier to read, and equipment is tracked now. We are able to forecast labor and hold the team to it since hours are always current. eSUB has been very beneficial to our team.
Nachteile:
Some of the formats or layouts we didn't like right away, but those have improved through the years and should really look great in the next version of eSUB.
Easy access if you know where to look
Vorteile:
The software is mostly user friendly, but you really need deep training in order to use all of the functions.
Nachteile:
It is not very accounting friendly. Cannot create credit memos, cannot adjust previous billings, etc. Also our team cannot be scheduled through the app because they need a certain status, and each one is a paid account. I feel we pay way more than enough for our team to be able to be scheduled and see the address where they're going.
Ease of eSUB
Kommentare: I like eSUB for keeping track of time and progress on the job. Can quickly look at comments or pictures to see what's getting done.
Vorteile:
Helps track job information for office and field.
Nachteile:
Sometimes, loading pictures in Field Notes takes some time.

Vorteile:
It was a one stop shop for my change orders, time cards and daily reports.
Nachteile:
The mobile app is not clean at all. Needs a lot of work. I also do not like how I have to do the extra leg work in order to see the real time cost of the project. I wish there was also a way for the program to pull the cost codes from my imported estimate into which cost codes are displayed in the project. it takes a long time to get the cost codes entered for a large project.

Everything. Its easy to use, User Friendly & Multifunctional. It also serves as a great Daily Construction Report tool & platform for managing day to day activities as a record.

Kommentare: ESUB allows for real time integration between the office and job sites, and Esub maintains a long archive of completed projects for reference.
Vorteile:
Submittal tracking and change order tracking.
Nachteile:
I don't like not being able to upload/ capture project information directly from Microsoft Outlook including email content and attachments.

It is simple to use and provides a one stop shop for time keeping and construction documents.

Occasionally time keeping changes dont save and have to be done again before they take.
If you are not using PM software you are losing money
Kommentare: Communication between the field/project manager/ and accounting. We're truly capturing dollars that used to be lost. Very happy with eSub and recommend it to all of my "friendly" colleagues.
Vorteile:
The software has allowed us to communicate efficiently between the operations in the field and the project manager. More efficiently capturing change order dollars that used to be lost.
Nachteile:
I understand why the system is so robust but there ought to be a way to streamline e-mailing documents to general contractors. Once it is initially set up on the first e-mail it should not be that I MUST make the same selections every time. Default should be to include support documents. Subject line for change order e-mails should be the project/CO#/CO Subject.

Pros:
-easy to use
- streamlines project management by reducing hefty admin time spent creating documents such as: purchase orders, rfi's, sub agreements, change orders, quick memos , etc
-allows for more timely contract responsiveness to our customers
-makes creating submittals a breeze
- produces excellent daily reports for manpower by cost code that are easy to download
- excellent cost tracking by cost code and issues
-excellent project overview
-excellent customer service, very responsive with follow through
-easy to train new users
Cons:
-contact management can be a little burdensome with all the clicking required. You learn quickly to setup the project correctly from the beginning with all pertinent contacts. The contact will already be added in the main contact log but not assigned to that specific project unless that project is 'clicked' for that contact. This resulted in a few new ESub users thinking those contacts weren't in the main contact log yet and they added them, creating duplicates. You do get the hang of this and your preparation will be self-appreciatied down the line.
-this one is a pro and a con depending on how you use this software: you really can't fully delete anything. For example: If you enter the wrong date on a daily report (auto dates for current date) you cannot go back to change later so better get it right the first time. This could be simplified by requiring an entry instead of auto fill maybe? You also cannot delete that report and start new. We add notes to the internal notes "work date was actually xx/xx" so that it will show up on a multiple daily report.
-the outgoing emails from the website for some reason often get filtered by spam filters and end up sitting in the recipients junk folders. This is quickly resolved by a follow up to the vendor or customer via phone or email to confirm which is common practice. Also, this is probably typical of any web based software outbound emails.
All and all I use it just about every day and I would highly recommend it. Once you are trained and used to the system; it's fantastic. Definitely allows our company to operate much more efficiently than before we had ESub!!
Overall excellent customer service.
Vorteile:
Daily jobsite reporting and time tracking, as well as the simplicity of their field notes make this software an excellent link between what's going on in the field and management in the office. The automatic tracking of RFIs and submittals also helps avoid things falling through the cracks. The eSUB team has also done an excellent job of continually working to streamline the product and to fit the users needs.
Nachteile:
The biggest con with the software is in their file management for uploaded job information such as drawings. If you have a typical project layout for how you want to file things, you'll be fine, but if your project becomes unusually complex it may require some extra effort to make sure everything stays clear.
I really like eSUB but I could improve and add some things
Vorteile:
The product is easy to use, it is friendly even for people with very basic computer knowledge to work on daily reports, which facilitates the training of new users even with the mobile APP.
Nachteile:
I would like the electronic signature of the workers to be included in the daily reports. For the time card, the signature of the time of entry and exit would be great for the time of generating the Time report. Speaking of the Time report, it would be great if a couple more cells could be implemented that have the cost code and the phase number, the lack of that makes me have to do it manually, which requires more time.
Easy and Useful
Kommentare: Tracking everything that's being submitted to the GC / customer / vendors for all projects.
Vorteile:
The ability to track all your submittals and purchase orders on one place. The ability to track costs based on PO'S, and change orders versus the contract budget and amount. It's great to be able to send e-mails through eSUB.
Nachteile:
The Sales Tax Feature, most of our vendors don't provide the tax %. I'd recommend that there be another box for just the amount and the purchase order spits out the %. Transmittals I wish you would be able to provide the signature line for that form as well, as its available for submittals. When uploading files to the submittals, purchase orders, etc. if there's a lot attachments it would be more better if we are able to arrangement which attachments appear first. Instead you have to load one by one and remember which attachment you want to include in the order you want it to appear.
Need an Opportunity to Help
Kommentare: I would love to spend a full day to show and go over all the problems or comments I have with eSub if you give me time to review and create a list. I want to help and I think I can make this beneficial to eSub and Kelson, but just need the opportunity and more importantly, the time on my end to do so.
Vorteile:
Keeps everything in one spot that should, in theory, have everyone in the company on the same page.
Nachteile:
There are a lot of quirks that should make the software easier to use but simply do not exist for the purpose of our company.
Esub Review
Kommentare: This has been a great product for us!
Vorteile:
It has helped us as an organization keep track of our projects better. The submittal tracking is great so we can stay on top of when submittals are late from GC.
Nachteile:
There are some processes that we do that do not translate easily to Esub. Not being able to update plans similar to Plangrid.
Commercial Flooring Contractor and Acoustical Ceilings
Kommentare: We utilize the daily reports but it would be great if the pictures on those reports could be used for multiple things (as in, adding pics to the change orders prove damages by other trades, etc). If you add to field reports you can glen from there but it would be great if we could also add from daily reports.

Nachteile:
The only "true" cost would be to tie labor cost to each project and the integration with Quick Books is lacking for eSub.
If this software had an accounting aspect all in one, it would be a whole other ballgame
Kommentare: In the end, this is not saving time since the GCs do not use this platform for submittals and daily reports and this is not an accounting software also.
Vorteile:
Job summary page is a good tool if you are tied into accounting. I feel it is efficient in the field to add photos and track time lost. But again, daily reports are usually done through Procore because that is the GC platform and what they want used. It automatically adds the cover page to submittals which was nice.
Nachteile:
Most GCs use Procore or plan grid so using the submittal aspect of Esub is pointless since they need to uploaded through another platform and tracked through that. Also since this is not an accounting platform any COs and POs needed to also be entered through accounting - duplicating the process - inefficient.
Great Platform for Subcontractors
Kommentare: We love eSub! We left to try what we were led to believe would be the "best in class" platform and it could not hold a candle to eSub in almost every respect.
Vorteile:
This platform is easy to deploy and very easy to use.
Nachteile:
I believe the items we have issues with will be addressed in 2.0, eventually.

Not yoor fault but mobile service when spotty prevents the user from getting into app
Every Day Field User
Vorteile:
ESub allows us to quickly and effectively upload pictures and communicate on the job site information. This instant access to on the job information allows us to effectively communicate within our office and our field users to allow us to invoice and order supplies in real time without a need for waiting until the end of the day.
Nachteile:
We would prefer there be no limits on users.
Very useful tool for project management.
Vorteile:
Great for tracking submittals, purchase orders, change order requests and job costing.
Nachteile:
Adding contacts can sometimes be annoying as you need to scroll down a long ways depending on how many projects you have.

Time management would be what I like most about this software program.
Nachteile:
Finding jobs and workers. It would be nice to be able to have a search bar where you can type in jobs and worker names instead of drop down menus. You have to scroll through a lot to get what you are looking for.
We are running a more efficient business since implementing eSUB in our day to day operations.
Vorteile:
One of the most convenient aspects of eSUB is having everything in one place. Before eSUB we were tracking jobs by saved folders on a shared drive. With eSUB everything is one place. Everyone from project management to accounting is much happier since our implementation. We are more profitable and able to serve our clients better with eSUB.
