Kommentare: Us using the PMC program has cut our Maintenance cost dramatically and increased the life of our equipment.
Vorteile:
I have worked in Maintenance my whole carrier now over 40 plus years. I have set up and administered several types of CMMS software over my many years. We have been using the PMC software from DPSI for over 20 years now and it has been a very useful tool at our facility. I am the Maintenance Planner / Inventory Administrator here we and use all parts of the PMC program, Work Order, Scheduleing, Purchasing, Inventory and the Reports. There are several advantages to the Access Base PMC program I like, it is very easy to use for one, with minimal training you can start using the program. The menu base home page give your quick access to all areas of the program. The data entry is very straight forward in all sections from the Work Orders to the Inventory Parts.. And all sections tie together for ease of job planning and history, keeping track of your Inventory and ordering repair parts to spare parts. I would recommend the PMC program to any facility who wants easy of use and accurate tracking of there maintenance.
Nachteile:
The only draw back that I have with the program is it is not an Internet based software, but YES it can be ran over the internet using additional software.

WARNING! THIS IS A REAL REVIEW! TRYING TO SAVE THE NEXT BUSINESS SOME MONEY AND HEADACHE!
Kommentare: At first during the sales process DPSI made this software sound great for the money, unfortunately the sales pitch was full of false and misleading information. It's antiquated making it difficult use and training will run you $175 per hour and they want to sell you a minimum of 20 hours. We are in 2020, when is the last time you needed a week of training for what should be a basic user friendly software? It's only customizable if you PAY for it, which even then is limited. You cannot delete or change anything, if you make a mistake you're stuck with it. You cannot customize reports, again unless you pay for it. They will say anything to get the initial sale and then afterwards charge you for everything you want the software to do. I am only writing this review hoping to save the next person some frustration and regrets. This company does not care, PMC is just to get you in the door to sell you more because they know it is not user friendly, not customizable, and not complete.

Not customizable at all. Not user friendly. Very antiquated, 30 years old! No custom reports. Cannot delete anything.

Jason, we're sorry to hear that you have not had a positive experience with PMC. We offer two different products, iMaint and PMC, depending on our customers' needs. iMaint is our enterprise asset management solution that's fully customizable, and available as an on-premise or cloud-hosted solution. PMC is our legacy on-premise maintenance management software, which is a very affordable and user-friendly solution for most people. That being said, there is a learning curve with any software solution and we do encourage our customers to schedule training for their own benefit. The decision of whether or not to purchase training hours is ultimately up the customer. We do offer a 'Getting Started Guide' in our user documentation and some free video tutorials. DPSI prides itself on providing excellent customer service, and we encourage you to reach out to your customer account manager with questions.

Kommentare: I have been using PMC for more than 20 years. I have recommended having PMC purchased for all the different companies I have worked for over the last 20 year. Over this time, I have had PMC installed in 6 different companies, One of the main reasons I was hired at these new companies was to bring in house a preventive maintenance process needed to take the companies to the next level. I can truly say that PMC has help me complete this task and has help my career move forward to the next step. Thanks for making a great product. In addition, their support staff are AAA+, you don’t see this level of support from most software companies anymore.
Vorteile:
The software works very well for our needs. Scheduling PM’s and unscheduled activities. The reports work great and help with justifying employee and their workload.
Nachteile:
I do not have any con’s per say. I would like to see better ways to pull metrics out of the data.

USING PMC
Kommentare: OVERALL I AM ABLE TO PRINT OUT PM ORDERS FOR OUR MACHINES DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY, AND ANUALLY BY THE PROGRAM KEEPING THE TIMMING AND AUTO PRINTING THEM. I FOUND THAT PMC IS LIKE ANY OTHER SOFTWARE PROGRAM. YOU HAVE TO LEARN IT'S LANGUAGE SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT RESPONCE IS NEEDED WHEN YOU ARE ASK A QUESTION.
Vorteile:
THE PROGRAM IS VERY UNIVERSAL. THERE IS SO MUCH THAT YOU CAN DO WITH THIS PROGRAM. I AM CREATING WORK ORDERS, PM's, RUNNING SEVERAL DIFFERENT REPORTS, AUTO PRINTING ORDERS, AND I'VE ONLY TOUCHED THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. I SEE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERAL OTHER TASK.
Nachteile:
SO FAR I'VE ONLY RUN INTO TWO SNAGS THAT PMC IS NOT CAPIABLE OF. I AM NOT ABLE TO AUTO PRINT ORDERS IN ANOTHER COMPANY TO A DIFFERENT PRINTER WHIT MY COMPANY AND PRINTER BEING THE DEFAULT. I ALSO FOUND THAT IF I SET UP AN ASSET GROUP THEN ALL THE WORK ORDERS IN THE GROUP HAVE TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE IT WILL PRINT THE NEXT ORDER FOR ANY OF THEM IN THE GROUP.

PMC for use at a manufacturing plant
Kommentare: As mentioned above, PMC has been a great investment for controlling our crib and tool control inventory, Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance.
Vorteile:
PMC works great for handling our crib and tool control inventory. We also generate all of our maintenance Work Orders, Purchase Orders and Preventive Maintenance Orders with PMC. On the rare occasion that we have an issue with PMC, DPSI's Tech Support helps us quickly resolve the problem. PMC has worked out very well for us, as well as several of our sister manufacturing plants. We highly recommend it, it has been a great investment for controlling our crib and tool control inventory, Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance.
Nachteile:
DPSI is working on PMC so it can be more user friendly for emailing Purchase Orders, etc. directly from PMC. We have not had any other concerns about using PMC.

Kommentare: The overall experience has been outstanding and again very user friendly. We have able to constantly maintain our equipment and thus less breakdowns.
Vorteile:
The PMC software is very user friendly, based on Microsoft Access. Our maintenance techs with limited computer expertise are able to use this software for the last 17 years. The flexibility of the software, to add or modify is excellent.
Nachteile:
When we sell or eliminate a piece of equipment, we can not eliminate the asset from the software. The asset stays as long as there is a completed work order associated with the asset. The asset can be changed to not active.

We have used PMC since 1993
Kommentare: QA needs something checked for a corrective action ... that's just added to the regular PM work order ... and takes a couple minutes to do that. Want something edited on a work order ... just mark up printed one and turn it in. It's so simple after you get your data in. I've looked at some of the other products over the years, but they aren't so simple and usually more expensive.
Vorteile:
The best thing about this software is it's so quick and easy to use ... after you learn how all the data parts fit together ... and get your data in there. Over all the years PMC is regularly upgraded to incorporate customer requests for features. Early it was just for maintenance, but over the years quality, environmental, doc control, subcontractors, they all use it for anything that needs a scheduled task. We have had no trouble with PMC ever.
Nachteile:
We have no complaints. We have had many people use it and they have changed over the years and no one had any trouble getting up to speed.

Vorteile:
It was easy to integrate and for the most part operates smoothly. Upgrades are available on a regular basis. Personnel particularly [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] are always helpful and informative.
Nachteile:
Not being able to pull up individual work order categories with out scrolling through all of them.

Customer Service
Kommentare: I have had to get in contact with customer service a few times, and every time they have responded promptly, and was always able to resolve the issues I have had.
Vorteile:
I love the ability to uniquely create work orders to my linking. It is easy to print out large batches of work orders.
Nachteile:
It would be nice to have the ability to sort through work orders like the Ctrl + F feature. When they print to have them print together with the same group.

Preventive Maintenance Control

The cost of every item within the plant, let's you see where your problem is, also what is being ordered more.
helps you identify the problem of why there is a repetitive usage.
The best is it records and individualize every part and the cost.
Vorteile:
I love the fact that this software maintain your inventory, let's you know when it is time to reorder. this software calculate and record cost by month, cost by year. it also provides a graph for you, which is very good you can print your graph and take to meeting to show department head where the money is going and the cost.
Nachteile:
what i like least is the you can not delete a mistake in the system.

Great value for the price & easy to use
Kommentare: As a Reliability Engineering Consultant I have worked with PMC and many other EAM/CMMS tools for over 20 years. I have found PMC to be very quick and easy tool to use in my business for small to medium size facilities. It allows me to quickly focus on maintaining high value assets and quickly develop maintenance strategies to ensure high reliability.
Vorteile:
Ease of use, and very intuitive. I love the right click drill down feature, it makes looking at specific detail very efficient. I love that it is very flexible and I can usually get a system up and running in just a single day.
Nachteile:
Inability to log and review every transaction by each specific user. This is required for most regulated industries. Needs a feature to optimize PM frequency, effectiveness and cost savings by making changes(PMO Tool). Needs an intuitive feature to identify and record root cause of a failure such as cause mapping, 5 why, or logic tree analysis.

The ease of running the proofs for my scheduled work orders. Interface is smooth and easy to maneuver.
Nachteile:
Running reports are a little tricky sometimes.

Kommentare: It has been great. The only thing that I would like to see changed is the option to print batches of work orders with more filter options.

it is great for maintaining historic data as well as scheduling day to day activity.
Nachteile:
No issues, in fact we are greatly under-utilizing the software.

Vorteile:
Easy to use and you do not need to have experience with other preventative maintenance software. Included upgrades with the appropriate plan.
Nachteile:
Not as advanced or contains as many features as other preventative maintenance software, but great beginner/intermediate level.

PMC Upgrade to 8.0
Kommentare: Having this upgrade was a vastly large step in the right direction. There is so much more that can be accomplished than in previous CMMS systems I have used.

PMC Software Review
Kommentare: We have been using PMC for many years. Our customer service representative is either calling or emailing to make sure everything is working well. She also lets me know when a new upgrade is available.
Vorteile:
We use PMC to schedule our compliance type work. We also use it to schedule our instrument calibrations. There are many features that we do not use.
Nachteile:
If you are not familiar with the software it may be difficult to migrate through the menu's however we are several versions behind and need to upgrade.

DPSI PMC TOP CMMS
Kommentare: I wholeheartedly recommend PMC for any company that has a need of a CMMS.
Vorteile:
I have been using PMC for the past 10 years and in those 10 years I have seen PMC evolve into an extraordinary CMMS. We have many yearly audits but in particular a BRC, (British Retail Consortium) audit that PMC has always made easy for our company to score high on. Everything is right at hand, ready to be printed or for the auditor to see directly from a PMC station. I do the purchasing for our maintenance dept which PMC makes easy to enter information as well as track. Work orders are just as easy to enter as well as parts. There are many reports to chose from. The system is easy to learn and navigate. I really could not do my job without PMC.
Nachteile:
Other than graphs and charts I really have no cons worth noting down. In my experience the people at DPSI will work with most anything one may have a question on and that the program is capable of doing.
Upgrade of PMC
Kommentare: Excellent. Customer service and support is what I base this on.
Vorteile:
It's the current software that we use in 4 of our plants. We just upgrade PMC to 7.2 The support is excellent. I worked personally with the reps from their tech support and the account manager. they were great with their and my time.
Nachteile:
Its a little dated. They do have a cloud based solution.

Inadequate
Kommentare: Great for a small operation with few inventoried parts and few machines.
Vorteile:
Pretty graphics and cute icons.
Nachteile:
Impossible to run custom reports. If you need a report to determine how many times you ordered a part when the quantity on hand was *below* the reorder point AND *out of stock*, you need a custom report. This you have to buy as an extra from DPSI. If you need to know which specific machines are eating parts, you cannot run a parts usage by machine and this is another report that you have to buy. If you ask for read access and request a list of data tables so that you can use MS Access, you void your warranty by reading the data. Many applications such as Datastream MP2 allow you to do any type of report. PMC fails miserably in reporting.
Great program that covers Work Orders, Purchasing, Inventory.
Kommentare: I would recommend the PMC program to any company who is looking for a very powerful CMMS at a reasonable price.
Vorteile:
We have been using the DPSI PMC program since 1998. We use all of the modules available from the program and it has decreased our equipment downtime and increased our plants reliability. The canned reports available in PMC provide the information we need to keep our facility running at its best. By using a report program if you need custom reports they can be made from the data that is available in PMC.
Nachteile:
No negative items from us, great program.
