Donation Software Very Suitable

Kommentare: There are many features I have not investigated as they have not been my priority. If you think of one, it is probably already implemented.
I find it a good program for tracking our church's donations.

Vorteile:

* This software is simple to install and get you started on data entry. * It grows on you as you become more familiar with it's operation. * It is versatile in that it can be used for several entities. i.e. we have a Mission Church in Toronto which is part of our ministry and the records for that ministry can be separated or integrated into our overall book-keeping. * It has a quick data entry feature called "One date donation entry" which we use for data entry from weekly offerings. * It has multiple report forms. * Easy to migrate from year to year. * Prints Donation receipts per Canada Revenue Agency specs. * Restricted functions with Limited user access. * Easy backup and restore feature. * Pricing relative to size of your organization. * If you have a good idea on a feature not included, notify the software writer and he is very willing to investigate implementation.

Nachteile:

* I'm reluctant to give access to another operator as I have slight fear it may be hard to find errors in data entry. My motto is: If you want it done right, do it yourself. * Reports require some programming knowledge to filter reports.

Using a ledger and excel spreadsheet VERY time consuming and this has simplified everything

Vorteile:

ease of data input the reports program they have kept it simple but with many programs within it at an affordable cost simple but detailed.

Nachteile:

not sure if I have one could use more choices in date of input categories so you can run specific reports for those of us who can't do SQL set up.

Donation

Kommentare: This is a great product for our Not for profit as we are still growing our donor base, as we are getting used to the program we find it more and more helpful and are still discovering all the reports that we can pull from it, so that is why I rated it a little lower for ease of use. However have no problem with customer service and support there is always an answer in the same day if any questions. I also recommended it to my church and we use it no problems.

Perfect Fit

Kommentare: After searching ( and I do mean SEARCHING) the internet for an easy to use, to-the-point software for recording charitable giving, I ran across Donation software created by Dan Cooperstock. I wasn't looking for a membership program, and I didn't need to record everyone's birthdates, groups, and blood types. I also wasn't interested in paying an arm and a leg. Donation software has been a blessing. I'm a little disappointed in email options for reports. Unless something has changed since I purchased it, you can't email reports to multiple recipients without saving the document as a PD, attaching the document to an email, and sending it your separate email program. We have several people in our church who receive a summary of each deposit, and it sure would be handy if I could do that. I've gotten into my routine of saving the report and including it as an attachment, so it's not the end of the world. Additionally, so far I haven't figured out how to easily build a report for a single fund/donation category. There are committees in the church who need a report on only one fund from time to time (i.e. memorial, capital building campaign, etc.) Those things being said, I'd still highly recommend this program to anyone who asked, and I'm grateful someone saw the need to create it. There's one caveat, and it is that I haven't gone through a year end. However, if it's as seamless as the weekly recording/deposits, there'll be no problem. Pros: Price is right. Easy to use. Intuitive. Report appearance is attractive. Cons: Report options aren't extensive when it comes to single donation categories and emailing.

Simple & easy to use donor receipting program.

Kommentare: It is easy to learn & great for small nonprofits with limited resources. Can be used immediately for receipt.

Vorteile:

Straightforward database program with some flexibility in producing receipts. Easy-to-use - effective to grow with your organization.

Nachteile:

Some technical expertise is required for using mail merge & using your receipt formats. Older database type program that is only available on local computer or networked computer.

Donation Program from Software4Nonprofits

Kommentare: An exceedingly good program. I have been using it since 2014 and would not consider any other program. Excellent support! No flaws that I have encountered. Strongly recommended! There are many reports available within the program, probably all that anyone would need, but if you would like some other report it is not too difficult to create one and it can be memorized for future use. We are not currently using the Accounts program, because the church treasurer prefers to use QuickBooks, with which he is more familiar. I have used Accounts for several months and personally found it to be excellent. I would recommend both programs.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, very good reports, excellent and very fast support from Dan Cooperstock who developed the software. You don't communicate with someone working at a distant call centre, it is either Dan Cooperstock or Kwame Barko who answer your questions.

Nachteile:

There is nothing I do not like.

Directly addresses the exact needs of a church treasurer - without unneeded complications.

Kommentare: Saves time and provides peace of mind.

Vorteile:

No doubt, ending year including receipting and starting next year. Or maybe correcting errors from year ended. Or maybe notifications and changes as required from changes to Revenue Canada. Or maybe the immediate response when needed.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it opens with a dialogue that my subscription is not up to date. Knowing it is, I close and reopen and proceed....

Great-Easy to Use Program!

Kommentare: I love this program. I am the administrator for 3 non-profit businesses. This program is very user friendly. It has a great 'help' section. The program developer/administrator is very quick to respond to my questions and very easy to work with. I could not be happier with the program and their service.

I really have not found one.

Great Software for the cost

Kommentare: As a church this software was used to log and monitor tax exempt giving .

Vorteile:

At the time the Software was the least expensive option for the needs of the church. For simple giving and donation reporting it works well.

Nachteile:

As a standalone donation software its very adequate however, there are limits to the capabilities.

Donation Software - An amazing bargain

Vorteile:

This program allows complete tracking of donors, donations and also allows creation of official receipts. We get a monthly remittance from head office and all 95 donations are added seamlessly with one command. Saves many hours and errors!

Nachteile:

The modification of the existing templates for receipts and letters requires a little getting used to, but is not really a major hindrance

A recent user's review

Kommentare: This is not a comprehensive review. I'm a recent user and still exploring the possibilities. But the use I have had so far is outstanding. The program can be tailored to be area specific e.g. English and French in Canada and adaptable to print different tax receipts for different types of donations as required by Canada Revenue Agency (IRS to folks below the 49th). The receipts , mailing labels and addressed envelopes all look very professional. Issuer logo can be inserted. The upside is that the printed results are excellent, the capability that I have experienced to date is great. I've every confidence that the lists and reports will be of the same quality. The assistance from Dan is accurate and timely - no endless waiting. Dell and Microsoft please note. The online instruction manual covers everything that I can imagine. The only downside is that the program has such a multitude of possibilities that mastering it takes a lot of dedication and patience

Small Church Experience

Kommentare: The program meets our needs very well. It handles the basics of tax deductible contributions without being overburdened with
"Membership Management" like a lot of the integrated packages. It is perfect for small organizations on a limited budget.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use. Weekly information entry is very easy. Annual tax deductible contribution statements are easy to produce and are formatted to fit a window envelope.

Nachteile:

Quarterly contribution statements supported only if you build your own using mail merge. This is not difficult, however.

God Send

Kommentare: I have struggled with other record keeping programs over the years. This is one program that I have not had to struggle with. It set up easily and transferred all my files over from my former church management program Membership Plus. The deposit records transfer quickly into Quickbooks, once the categories where set up to match Quickbooks. This is something that I could not get Membership Plus to do. I just have to enter the donations once and my deposit is set up and then I can transfer the information to the accounting program. It is very easy to print the giving reports. You can then print them to be mailed or e-mail them to the members. If there is something that you cannot figure out they have help files and great support. The only thing that it does not do is track attendance., but for a small church it really does not matter.

Donations

Kommentare: We have been very pleased with Donation. It is simple and works well for us.
We are a small non-profit, but have grown considerably, thus using the Donation
program more than when purchased. We work overseas for extended periods
of time, and have been successful at transferring the program to someone else's computer so they could keep up donations while we are gone.
I would like to tweek the receipt just a little to make it even better! I recommend this program to any non profit organization.

Just what is required!

Kommentare: Donation is a software program that is used in my own church on a weekly basis and maintains the records extremely well. I have also recommended the program for use in a number of client churches.
Donation is designed for the recording and maintaining of periodic donations and the production of reports as required. This process is done very well without a lot of extra features that are never used.
The moving from one year's data set to the next is about as easy as it can be made. By keeping backup copies you can also maintain a number of years of data.
The facility of carrying over the name and address for donors to the new year is a major time saver.
This program is worth every nickel (no more pennies in Canada) you pay for it and a whole lot more.

The Easy Way to Prepare Tax Receipts

Kommentare: This program includes easy to use ways to track personal information about donors, donations. It prints receipts that have all the information from the church on them that you need and prompts you to do everything properly including a second printing to keep a record for your files in case you ever needed it. It allows you to make all sorts of reports over any time period you want. It is easy to do backups. And Dan Cooperstock provides frequent updates with a good description of what the update will do for you in language that is easy to understand. He is always available if you have a problem that the program can't solve for you. We have been using it as Knox Church and would be lost without it.

DONATION

Kommentare: I have been using Donation for 3 years and find it very user friendly . I can recommend it for anyone who is elderly and is hesitating because of that. I am 76 years old and had no trouble starting . When I didn't understand how something was done, eg. income tax receipts, I simply sent an email to Dan and received an easily understood answer the same day.
In fact that has been a big plus for me as usually you receive an answer to a question about software within a week. With Dan it is the same day and no question seems inconsequential to him. You can even transfer it to another computer if someone else has to take over for you. Actually I can't find anything against the program.

The PERFECT program for us!

~Wonderful year-end system for income tax receipts (this used to take us days, now we can get it done in a couple hours)
~Very affordable even for small organizations
~Customer service is fast and friendly Con: The only thing we have difficulty with is creating some reports with the 'filter reports' feature. It takes some programming knowledge to create more complicated reports. For our purposes though, I have not had to use this feature much at all.

Easy as Pie

Kommentare: As the Treasurer of a small not-for-profit library that exists due to the donations of those who believe operating a library in our small village is crucial, I produce over 200 receipts annually. Doing this by hand would be onerous and "Donation" greatly reduces the time factor and allows me to be prompt and accurate in producing receipts for income tax purpose. I learned about "Donation" from our Church's envelope secretary and started using the programme soon after that. I have since recommended "Donation" to many similar organizations who, like me, find it a reasonably priced solution to the problem of issueing receipts.

Church Financial Secretary

Kommentare: I have been using Dan Cooperstock's Donation Program for years and love it. It makes my job as Financial Secretary of our church so much easier. Before using this program, everything was done by hand. I print out everyone's giving at the 6 month mark and, of course, at the end of the year, the total year's giving for everyone to report to the IRS. I back up the program every week on a flash drive. If I ever have any questions, I e-mail Dan and he gets back to me very quickly. I would recommend this program to any church large or small. Dan has definitely made my job much easier!

Great for Small Charities

Vorteile:

The product is has great integration for letters and emails. Charitable receipts and reports are easy to generate. Product is perfect for our small charity with limited human resources.

Nachteile:

It does the job for us. There are no other features that we need.

Ease of Use and Customer Service

Kommentare: I have been using donation for six years due to the affordability for non-profit sector and allows for simple use for those of us who require just the basics. Extracting reports from system is laid out for easy use, with more extensive features for those pursuing fund raising campaign donor information. Would highly recommend for any small non-profits, where data input volunteers or officers may change frequently. There are not too many software programs where your help questions are answered by the program developer. Responses are always quick and thorough.

Kommentare: When I took over the role of donation tracking in our church I was a little skeptical when this software was suggested, but I must say within 1 week I had a changed attitude. I have had nothing but exceptional service and support. It amazes me how much energy the developer puts into improving and upgrading the software because I feel like it is already so exceptional. Every time I've thought to myself, "oh it would be nice if I could..." after 10 minutes of looking I always find that that function is already built in. The program is just about dummy-proof.

Most Excellent Donation-Tracking Software

Vorteile:

I have found everything about DONATION software, by Software4Non-profits, everything I have ever needed for keeping track of my ministry's finances. It is easy to use, reasonably priced, and produces every letter or report I have desired. I would highly recommend this software for non-profits.

Nachteile:

Honestly, I can't think of a thing that I would want them to improve. It has met every need.

Donation software for churches

Kommentare: I have used this program for our small church for several years. It is extremely easy to use, has everything we need, and I believe could be used for any size church. Very nice that yearly receipts can be printed with the push of a button rather than hours spent with a pen. I would recommend it to any church of any size. Any communication with the owner makes you feel as though you are the only customer he has and the communication is personal as opposed to the feeling of dealing with a large multinational corporation. Top notch.
