Kommentare: Alora has exceeded my expectations in every way. I have used a lot of EMR systems in my career and Alora by far has the most user friendly, efficient platform for home care. The software is extremely easy to use and learn, encompasses everything my business needs to be efficient and compliant and is able to be customized to the specific needs of my agency. The implementation was seamless, organized and abundant with resources. Every person that I have worked with at Alora during the implementation process went above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience. Their customer support is easy to reach and available to help with everything I need. Alora also integrates perfectly with my payroll and billing systems. It streamlines the process for my nurses and allows them to spend their attention on their patients rather than difficult charting and paperwork. I couldn't be happier with my decision to partner with Alora!

My favorite aspect of Alora is its user-friendly interface and smooth navigation, which greatly improves our ability to efficiently manage patient care, documentation, and communication within our home healthcare agency. Nachteile:
What I find challenging about Alora is its cost structure, which is difficult for smaller home healthcare agencies or those operating on tighter budgets. While the software offers valuable features, the upfront licensing fees and ongoing subscription costs poses financial constraints for us as a start up company.
Very poor and Unprofessional Service
Kommentare: Very poor experience with Alora. Unprofessional behavior experienced from Alora team by ignoring to help us fix the issues that keep occurring on a daily basis lately.

At first, it appeared Alora staff were professional and timely. Now, there are alot of ignored requests to resolve issues.

Management concern and corrections of issues. Appears management could care less about the stress the issues are causing the agency.

I would describe my overall experience as a win.
Alora Home Health has been and still is one of the top performing home health care solutions. I advise that new organizations start with Alora as less training will be needed and it is affordable, while still having the might to manage the organization collectively.
The management of skilled and non-skilled care is one of the most important features Alora has to offer.
Problems solved: The need for one collective platform, the need to manage all components and staff, the need for fair pricing and support.
Vorteile:
- Management of all components of home health care. - Affordable, fair price. - Learn to use in a reasonable amount of time. Arranged in a very practical way. - Beneficial to supervisors, caregivers, and patients both individually and collectively. - Scheduling and time management. - Documentation and E-Signatures. - Management of skilled and non-skilled care. - Management of workflows, paperless and efficient. - Accept medicaid and medicare. - Management of billing and invoicing. - EVV included. - Support is above and beyond.
Nachteile:
- Missing features/feature quality: scheduling, notes, charts, lists and databases. Notification settings are standard, vital information has been lost or overlooked. - Some nurses and home care staff needed training in order to correctly use each and every feature. - Missing updates that other companies implemented years ago. - Complaints were heard but were not addressed.

There's room for improvements, on which Alora people are very willing to file a feature suggestion. Alora team gladly listens to what we need for an effective charting. Having Alora as our electronic medical record for both Home Health and Hospice is awesome!

Thus far, my experience with Alora has been overall very good.
Vorteile:
I am a fairly new user with lots of learning ahead of me. At this point of use with our new company, the software has been user-friendly and seems to be very comprehensive in the home care field. The best thing thus far has been the help/support I have received. They have been extremely helpful with resolving some issues and training, as well as with answering questions in a friendly and prompt manner. They have not only helped resolved what I felt like were some big issues but have also taken the time on several occasions to teach me. Our rep is very patient and personable. When it comes down to it, in my opinion, all the home care software out there is similar, for the most part, with varying degrees of bells and whistles, as well as price. Besides price, the thing that sets software vendors apart is the support staff who work with the agencies using the software. Alora has a really good team, and I think that will build on their reputation in a very positive way. I also like how Alora will listen to users that have suggestions to make something easier or better with the software and then sometimes make changes/updates to accommodate. It gives the users a sense of teamwork - that Alora is always trying to make the software better for its users, not just customers with no voice. I like how Alora is constantly updating and sending the updates to the users. I also like the ability to open so many windows from a single window that I'm in to check information, etc. This is very helpful and useful. I really like the scrubbing tool! I think the price is reasonable. I am hoping it stays that way. The more I use the software and learn its capabilities, the more I like it.
Nachteile:
The biggest issue up to this point is that the system seems to crash a lot when I have entered and completed a 485 then go to print. I have lost all data more than once when this happened which was frustrating. I have now learned to hit the save button before I try to print. It still crashes at times, but when I reopen the software, the 485 is there.
Built for home health care
Kommentare: For home health care this is one of the most specialized available. My organization used it for years. I'm able to better supervise using Alora and I'm glad that we used it. If the problems are fixed Alora would be the perfect home health care software.
Vorteile:
Alora was created for home health care agencies and is designed to help manage operations smoothly. Stay compliant and manage documentation for all employees including those who provide non medical services like personal care or home care. The biggest help is that visit notes are automatically added, other software tends not to include visit notes and it's harder to schedule repeat or daily. Billing is easy even to medicare or medicaid, and Alora helps cut down on paper forms and records. The customer support team is very friendly and answered all of my questions on the spot.
Nachteile:
Alora has had problems and holes in the software for years and those were never fixed or improved. The medicine list is not complete and dosen't list other names that would make searching for the medicine easier. It has abruptly stopped working and we have temporarily lost data but it was restored. A well structured selection panel for easier access would make Alora better too.
Excellent Customer support

Customizable. Parameters driven making it scalable. Well integrated with the DDE , Clearing houses and SANDATA for EVV transmission.
Nachteile:
Because it is highly parameterized. Nursing staff finds it difficult to make proper use of it's customizing features. Initially, they take time to understand the information flow. I highly recommend to introduce incident reporting template. Nurses don't use communication log properly to report incidents. A/R Module is tedious.

An Example of Going Beyond
Vorteile:
With the screens that I work with daily (not on the clinical side), I like the ease of having almost all the options on the admission screen to where I can go from one screen to the next and still be within the patient's file. I have the ability to write emails within the software and create a separate folder within the mail to store those. I like it when Alora "predicts" or anticipates my date range, etc., does spell ck (wish all screens had that), F5 capability (again wish more screens had that), bringing over data from previous admission on a re-admit (still bug on med profile being addressed/rolled out), and of course....last but not least the customer service is so helpful.
Nachteile:
The lag time in enhancements, the process of how enhancements & possible bugs are fixed based on how many customers have expressed concern over that same issue, & lack of flexibility within some screens. See some of the items mentioned in the first question.
Alora Home Health Software Review
Kommentare: It doesn't have have the capability to generate report for QAPI, OBQM, etc.
Vorteile:
Comes with Classic and Plus. I like the how the calendar and scheduling system was designed. Plus version is web-based.
Nachteile:
Alora Plus often not syncing with Alora Classic. Few QA Features especially not being able to generate reports on gender, ethnicity, or group according to DX.
User Friendly
Kommentare: Overall it has helped increase productivity in certain departments which clears up time to completed other important tasks.
Vorteile:
Scheduling features has increased productivity as well as being able to batch print/fax has made several department's jobs get done easier and quicker.
Nachteile:
There are too many different ways to access parts of the charts which can create a little confusion in regard to completing scheduled visits or creating their own.
Easy to set up

I like how simple this system is to use and train people on. It never takes me long to get people to navigate where they need to.
Nachteile:
I’ve had a bad experience with customer service before but it was corrected internally and she is no longer an issue.
User friendly program
Vorteile:
The program is user friendly. With no training at all, I was able to navigate the system with ease.
Nachteile:
Not always able to easily add features our company needs such as tracking falls, infections, or any other identified QA such as ER visits.

Batch billing. I could not find how to delete a batch billing that was created. I am able to create a batch bill but not able to delete it. Why not?

Kommentare: The support team works hand on hand with you to resolve any technical issues you may have. The team are very compassionate about their job, great work ethics.

I think this software is esay to use. It's the inly software for home care I've used as I'm new to the industry, and pretty fast I was able to handle myself in it.
Nachteile:
The introduction of Alora Plus hasn't been very smooth. There are some functions, specially reports which don't work in Plus or Classic. Also the interface, for certain things I prefer Classic and for others I prefer Plus.
Great Software
Vorteile:
Ease of use and ability to complete documentation quickly.
Nachteile:
Plan of care orders and goals could be copied from previous plan of care when doing a recertification.
Great customer service

Easy to use. If I have question or need help with a issue can contact Rachel and if she can't help me at that time she can give me a time she will be available to call and settle my issue. Very good customer service. Thank you
Nachteile:
All orders, visit notes ect. needs to have patient ID number on every page. With CMS requesting ADR's and I'm mailing copies of episode to them, I find myself having to manually add the patient ID number to these pages which can be very time consuming.
I am better able to navigate through once reps walked me through the software.
Vorteile:
You can upload to the EHR in a more timely fashion. You can look at multiple sites with ease. In the Reports section you can type in what you want instead of scrolling down.
Nachteile:
I don't like that you cannot see a 60 day episode at one time. It is broken up when the month changes. It is not as easy to navigate through an episode when scheduling.

15 minute round up or down of visits. it is in the product but has never worked. it has been brought up multiple times. This would be a great help with payroll.
Alora Plus

Vorteile:
Easy to navigate. user friendly Is easy to schedule clients.
Nachteile:
Only the time zone when needing to call but that is not controllable.
Alora Plus still has a few minuses
Kommentare: Limited number of electronic fax pages that can be sent on a monthly basis (100), is not good for larger companies trying to be paperless.
Vorteile:
The dashboard is quite comprehensive. The ability to customize to each employees' needs. Schedules are easy to create and read.
Nachteile:
The client demographic information and the admission data being split into 2 different areas makes it difficult to navigate between the two. While the 485 is created based off the completed Oasis assessment, it is not generated automatically, so you have to go back and manually click through to complete the 485 and fax out.
