Vorteile:

It's user friendly for our department staff and customers (unit clerks, nursing, secretaries). I can also provide monthly detailed reports to our client.

Nachteile:

I was once able to go in and write and publish my own menus and I am no longer able to do that. Now all I can do is edit the material that is there.

Best Catering Online Ordering System

Kommentare: They are always looking for ways to improve and keep up with the changes in technology and they allow the customers to provide suggestions and feedback.

Vorteile:

Before CaterTrax, we were spending hours inputting our catering orders into excel. I used CaterTrax at a previous job presented the benefits of using this program to my boss. He was on board, but our corporate office wanted us to use Caterease. I put together another presentation comparing the two programs and and after a long discussion, we were able to get CaterTrax. I saw the light at the end of the tunnel! This was the best thing we brought to our department and clients.

Managing Multiple Locations for Nutrition Services

Kommentare: I've had a good experience overall with CaterTrax. I use it daily to check room status, assist customers with placing orders. I pull reports weekly and monthly to do financial reporting, I'm able to provide source documents for floor stock, catering, Café to You sales to our client accounting team.

Vorteile:

CaterTrax allows me to manage catering functions, floor stock and room reservations for 12 locations. Our team can easily access and process orders, print reports for staff and track sales. It's user friendly for our department staff and customers (unit clerks, nursing, secretaries). I can also provide monthly detailed reports to our client. They've made updates to their platform and graphics which look nice.

Nachteile:

At times users struggle with password re-sets and client It single sign on/security. CaterTrax has improved this process and users can now re-set their own passwords via link. Adding a new Admin User has become more tedious as it has to go through Sodexo, which can be challenging when there are client Admin Users. I'd like to be able to print an invoice from an order that says "Invoice" on it to send to catering clients.

clunky program

Kommentare: this program was choses by accounting as is interfaced with existing billing software, it is clunck and difficutl for both staff and customers alike

Vorteile:

the tracking feature is the best feature of this program

Nachteile:

you cannont move up items without retyping order , frequently forgets prints when mass printing, the cloud is as slow as using dial up , the spell check misses food terms, the functionality is not intuitive and slow going

CaterTrax is great!

Kommentare: We use CaterTrax to keep track of all floor supplies in addition to using it for tracking all of our caterings. Catering orders are easy to do, and payments are easy to process, with a variety of payment options, to include secure credit card processing. We've been a customer since 2012, and it has been a very valuable piece of our food service package. I'm sure I don't utilize the reporting aspect of the software as much as I probably could, but I am able to run several different types of reports that help us keep track of product movement, sales, etc.

Vorteile:

I like that CaterTrax keeps track of what was ordered, when it was ordered, when we're expected to deliver, and allows for multiple admins to manage the site-we use Catering and Floorstock modules, and I can assign floorstock orders to each nursing manager's account as an admin, and send them notifications OR opt to allow each of them to check their own account periodically. Most of my customers like ordering their supplies or caterings for meetings/events using the site.

Nachteile:

The only thing I don't like is the inability to add multiple payees-some departments in our hospital share resources like coffee dispensers, and it would be handy to be able to split their billing three ways without having to do the math or account selection myself every time. It isn't difficult, just a little inconvenient. There are other things to do with customization of menus that are a little annoying, but it's beyond my or CaterTrax's control-they've been instructed by our management company to retain control over most menu development aspects of the software, so I am no longer able to customize to the degree I'd like to. We can still do custom orders, though, so there is that opportunity to manage fulfilling what our customers request beyond the regular menu.

One of the best software available!

Kommentare: It turns out that we were not fully utilizing all the functions of the program! We had thought this was a one way tool but later realized that it is interactive with botht eh client and us. This allowed the customer to make changes once the catering was already in place. Because we validated the order it was easy to double check to make sure the catering was correct. Also, we could customize the layout as many times as we wanted, so that we could grow as our customer's needs changed.

Vorteile:

Mostly, ease of use. The platform to do business can be a very complex one, especially in catering. After reviewing several programs we chose Catertrax for the ease of use, ability to add more user functions and the ability to customize the experience.

Nachteile:

Some of the features require some comprehensive training, which costs extra in our case. I would have thought there would be unlimited training free of charge but that does not seem to be the case with us.

New user relief

Kommentare: Catertrax has been a nice surprise for tracking and managing my catering activity. All my information is in one place and the reporting functionality is something I did not have before. Now with customer inquiries, the answer is usually a click away!

Vorteile:

I was reluctant to start using Catertrax because "my way" had been working fine. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to see how much the sight could do for me. I find having history on my customer orders to be a major plus. It's a one stop site for all my catering info.

Nachteile:

In a shared, multi-unit usage situation there is some confusion moving from site to site and getting the site to follow along.

Catertrax Keeps us Organized!

Vorteile:

On a college campus we have simple coffee set ups to banquets for 500 plus! Catertrax helps us communicate from the back of the house to the banquet servers. The kitchen sheets lay out the customers expectations.

Nachteile:

If I could change something it would be the ability to adjust our pricing on our own, instead of submitting a request, but the customer service is always efficient.

Vorteile:

This software is by far the easiest one I have ever used. It is so simple and it helps myself and my customers slide through each process in such an easy manner. I feel as though any company that would use this would seriously benefit from it.

There is honestly no cons about this site that I have had any issues with. Customer service is always polite and always working on my problems in a matter of minutes.

Kommentare: To have all our catering and in-house ordering set-up together has been great, it's simple and very easy to navigate and control.

Vorteile:

The software provides us with an easily transitioned in-house ordering system, which can be easily navigated by our clients. Very easy to use, support has always been great.

Nachteile:

A how to guide for a clients would be ideal, as some do get lost trying to navigate the system. Not everyone is computer literate.

Ability to duplicate previous orders. Clients can store payment information and event details that make completing orders easy.

Nachteile:

Once orders are archived that cannot be unlocked. If invoices have been processed for billing and is locked.

Kommentare: Customer service is great, and very quick. The record keeping of this program is what makes this campus function. The invoicing with this program is on point, and makes for a clean professional invoice to send my clients. Overall - without this program, there would be zero to no organization in our three million dollars of catering we do a year.

Vorteile:

This software makes my job a lot easier. I have students and clients who constantly are asking to duplicate orders, repeat what we did last year (or years past). This is the perfect system for record keeping.

Nachteile:

I wish that there was a way to make the Credit Card connection easier for us. Currently we cannot take credit cards via cater trax.

Vorteile:

It is a good program in many ways. It saves me a lot of time when producing party/production sheets, allowing entry for special notes on events, and details that we can type in ourselves. It is good for billing, and customers can get their own records on order history any anytime they need it.

Nachteile:

Limitations on making some of our own revisions. Not sure if that is dictated more by our corporate office or CaterTrax. And they charge for excessive administrative assistance above the monthly fee we pay.

Catertrax for SOU Catering

Kommentare: Catertrax has really streamlined the booking process for catering. The user interface for customers and admins is really intuitive. When I do have issues with the software, the customer service is top notch and diligently works on my requests. Overall, Catertrax makes my job easier and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such excellent software.

Vorteile:

The software is incredibly user friendly. When I train new employees, the Trax Training feature really helps speed up the process. I like how I can customize most menu items with ease. The software really has all the bells and whistles I need without being overly crowded.

Nachteile:

Not much. Sometimes there's a lag in the menu loading or when ordering.

Vorteile:

User friendly and puts all components in one place - room reservations, catering and floor stock Was able to customize to our needs for many things - adding cooler temperatures for our areas that we stock was one.

Nachteile:

sometimes when using on the ipad it locks up for our tray passers who enter floor stock. Wish could easily make changes on own to back end.

Vorteile:

A one stop shop! Gives us so many options that it is hard to choose which ones to use. It is so easy to teach our customers how to use it and once they start using it the feedback from customers is GREAT! They love the feature that they can go back and look at past orders. Our clients like that they can get quick and detailed reports every month.

CATERTRAX...pretty good

Kommentare: I have been using CATER Trax for over 5 years at two different locations and have been satisfied with its use.

Vorteile:

The software is generally easy to understand. Easy to edit and customer service is very helpful when there is a need.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it is hard to adjust orders...sometimes the software moves a little slowly.. Also, sometimes it is hard for the kitchen to understand some of the wording that is transcribed from the menu to the kitchen notes.

Most customer friendly reservation/catering system out there!

Kommentare: It is easy to learn so people do use it. Every interaction is tracked so we can see who made an error when they call and complain.

Vorteile:

It is intuitive and easy for everyone in the organization to use. It keeps track of every change and edit so everything is easy to track.

Nachteile:

Back side takes a lot of clicks and back and forth to see and make reservations. We do not set up the rooms so wish we could take that part off.

Forced into changing!

Kommentare: CateTrax is easier for us to use as well as my customers. They are able to set up their own accounts. And that saves us and them valuable time.

Vorteile:

As a company we changed to CaterTrax, I was upset at first because I was used to the system we were currently using. However CaterTrax is a much easier system. And they have always been there to help us change what is needed. I don't have to waste any time remembering how to adjust something on my old system

Nachteile:

There is nothing that I like least about this software

I love that I can use this software from anywhere. I can easily track messages for clients and there is always record of it.

Nachteile:

What I like the least is that sometimes my webpage needs minor changes like verbiage and I have to submit a full ticket for something I could just have done quickly if able to.

I've done catering for years, and I can honestly say this is the best program and it so efficient!

Kommentare: I love that I can do menu changes, price changes, track orders, and billing. That's a big plus!

Vorteile:

What I like most is that I can change prices and menus according to the client's needs. Also, having everything in one place from ordering to billing makes it so efficient and there's a lot less in confusion problems for me and the client.

Vorteile:

User Friendly on all fronts. They are able to create multiple reports for billing and specific custom items for clients. The support team is very helpful and the setup of many different sites went smoothly and was done right on time.

Vorteile:

I am a techno nothing this program is easy to use. The customer service response to requests is quick and efficient. The customer service reps are very friendly and always helpful.

Nachteile:

The new shopping cart. I really dislike this add on. I like to see the runnig order without having to click on the cart.

Ease of use for the client. Layout of menu items with description and options is appealing. Much needed in the fast paced environment

Would like to see more reporting options available as well as availability to change the layout of the structure and add specials right to the menu layout
