Keep cases moving forward

Vorteile:

The checklist and document creation features are set up to handle a practice such as ours where we get a lot of potential client calls. Document creation is smooth once it is set up. The intakes work well and the dynamic fields in the intakes keep improving. The ability to SMS from Neos is a real plus, but I was not satisfied with having to subscribe to Ring Central to fully use SMS.

Nachteile:

Neos is best used for non-litigated case files. It does not have a case calendaring system for any jurisdiction's rules. It schedules items on the weekends when we are closed and I must go back to check for any items set for the weekend to move them to a work day.

If you use Needles it is the best choice.

Vorteile:

The merge from Needles was easy and painless. It is intuitive and easy to use.

Nachteile:

The intake pro needs to improve the reports. The reports are not as easy to run as they were in Needles.

Not a good experience

Kommentare: It is buggy, not easy to use, and it takes the joy out of my job.

Vorteile:

The basic features work, but they are difficult to use.

Nachteile:

Some examples: Reports that are generated are not as good as the prior version of the software. You cannot open up two tabs on a single case at a time, so you cannot toggle back and forth between pages with the same client's case without closing and reopening the different pages.You scroll within many notes and open the note you want. Then you close the note, and it puts you back to the beginning of the notes again instead of leaving you at the point where you opened the notes, so you have to waste time getting back to the original note to scan others that were entered around the same time.Calendaring is very important in our practice. The calendar feature was not working for days, and we did not receive timely assistance with the problem from the company. We had to threaten legal action for them to finally fix it. Documents have disappeared from folders and reappear in other folders inexplicably. I was on a phone call with a client this morning. I clicked on a form to go over it with the client. The form did not open and it disappeared from the directly while I was talking to the client. I could not find the document while I was on the phone with the client to discuss what I needed to discuss with the client. I had to end the call and find the document in another directory.Documents which have not been modified inexplicably change the modification date themselves making the date of the document properties no longer consistent with its generation date.

User Friendly

Vorteile:

Assembly Neos has significantly enhanced my workflow with its versatile features and robust integrations. I love the many options for accessing information, which allows me to retrieve data quickly and efficiently. The platform's capability to create a multitude of reports tailored to our firm's specific needs is a game-changer. Additionally, the seamless integration with numerous programs has streamlined various processes, making my professional life much easier. Overall, Assembly Neos is an invaluable tool for any firm looking to optimize its operations and improve productivity.

Nachteile:

While Assembly Neos offers a wide range of features and integrations that enhance productivity, one area that could use improvement is the calendar functionality. Currently, the calendar does not alert users to scheduling conflicts. For instance, if you double-book an appointment, there is no notification indicating an existing appointment at that time. Implementing a conflict alert feature would greatly enhance the usability of the calendar and prevent scheduling errors. This improvement would make an already powerful tool even more efficient and user-friendly.

NEOS is everything we need!

Kommentare: We moved to Needles many years ago because we needed a much more robust plaintiffs personal injury case management software. NEOS does everything that Needles did and the service is excellent. We couldn’t ask for more.

Vorteile:

NEOS is cloud-based and it does everything Needles did, and Needles was the king of personal injury case management software. What’s not to like?!

Nachteile:

Haven’t utilized it’s intake program yet so I can’t comment on it.

Needles Neos

Kommentare: Overall I like Needles Neos. I have used Needles in general for the last 6 years so its something that I know and feel comfortable using and havent had many issues that werent easily fixed.

Vorteile:

I like that it is cloud based and I can log into anywhere I have cell or wifi connection. Helps when I need to work from home or if I am having to travel for work I can easily get access to what I need to assist in handling calls for work.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it glitches a lot and you have to completely close out and sometimes restart to be able to log back into the system.

Easy Breezy

Vorteile:

The intuitiveness of the system - it can almost predict what you want it to do and do it. As long as the case information is put correctly into the system then the system can pull information to put letters and documents together. my favorite part is the texting ability. It is easy. Most people will look at their phone first thing in the morning. Emails do not get as much attention as texting.

Nachteile:

because it is cloud based - the internet needs to be steady. sometimes it gets a little wonky

Great Reporting, Case Management but tricky forms customization

Kommentare: I like being a user of Needles and managing my cases with it. But, as we add practice areas and need customized forms and functions, it does require additional support.

Vorteile:

I like that Needles gives you a lot of reporting capabilities, categories, and checklists to be able to manage cases better. It is robust in its customization options and is fairly user friendly on the front end.

Nachteile:

The difficulties are in setting up custom documents. The way the templates are made is cumbersome. And the checklists are tricky to set up on the back end so that they give you enough information to be useful, without being overwhelming.

Neos User

Vorteile:

Aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and so many accessibilities.

Nachteile:

Initially, transitioning was difficult. The process seemed like it could've been smoother/quicker.

Totally Ignored by Lead Customer Service "Advocate"

Kommentare: Further, Needles techs initially thought the issue was our version of Outlook, and had our firm purchase new licenses for all our uses. Unfortunately, this was a pricey "solution" that did not fix the problem. What is very annoying is that Needles keeps billing us quarterly for "technical support" that is part of our agreement, but fails to fix our technical issues. Also, Needles technicians are all east-coast based. As we're in Arizona, this also presents a problem in availability of their support.

Vorteile:

If it worked as promised, it would have been exactly what we wanted in practice management software. It has some great ideas and is supposed to interface with Outlook.

Nachteile:

Our experience has been that the updates are not adequately tested before released to clients, and customer support is not always advised or up-to-date re the various bugs with the updates, and therefore not able to troubleshoot or fix. We have been trying to get Needles to fix the interface with Outlook that resulted from one of there updates, and causes the slowing of email, for nine months now. We have only had this software for a year. As Needles has been unable to properly diagnose and resolve this problem, they are now ignoring us.

Simple Product

Kommentare: its ok, the converting process was not great, and we switched from Needles desktop 5, so i was very disappointed in that part. The templates still do not work.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to use, and intuitive and it's easy to train new people on it.

Nachteile:

I do not like that you cannot customize some of the information and that we have to scroll down on some pages,

Extremely buggy, poorly designed. A bad, infuriating experience

Kommentare: Using Needles Neos provides disappointment and frustration at every turn. It is currently in beta quality, and the workflows are unintuitive and time consuming. We provided three pages of bug reports including broken functionality, missing features, inconsistent design, and suggestions for improvement. Neos is exceptionally bad at calendaring, document management and task assignment. The Needles team was unable and unwilling to sufficiently address our concerns with Neos.

Vorteile:

A browser-based solution is a step in the right direction.

Nachteile:

Needles Neos is a major regression from Needles 4.x., which our firm has used for over 20 years. We were misled by Needles staff as to the overall quality of Needles Neos and the ease of migration. It is extremely buggy, unintuitive, and not suitable for daily practice management. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Unable to recommend. We have chosen to terminate our 20 year relationship and look elsewhere.

Costs have risen and the product has not improved

Vorteile:

Easy to use interface, ability to modify

Nachteile:

No progress in regard to upgrading the system. It has remained essentially unchanged for 15 years. Despite this, costs have increased, supplemental charges for things that were standard, and quarterly support payments yet I am still uncertain as to what is covered in "support" as any issue we have, we are directed to contact our IT company or are given an additional charge for assistance.

Transition from Needles to NEOS

Kommentare: Transition from Needles to NEOS…. We were very comfortable with Needles because we used the software from 2013-2021. So, when we first transitioned to NEOS we had hesitation and obstacles to work through. There were many challenges at the beginning, however with the training and support we received from the NEOS team they made it much easier to transition. We were very reluctant and wanted to go back to Needles but never gave up. NEOS staff/support were there for every question I had, every problem I needed solved, etc. They were always so kind, and patient throughout the entire process and to this day! Now, at almost 1 year later I cannot even remember what Needles was like. NEOS offers so much more than Needles and we are so pleased we stuck with it! Nikki Mayse, Paralegal

After 1 year of use

Vorteile:

Easy to use, many features, overall solid case management program.

Nachteile:

Neos uses it's customers for beta testing when implementing new functions. Bugs and issues are not resolved prior to new features being put out causing other aspects of the program to fail. This is a reoccurring issue and affects the ability to use the program for it's intended purpose.

Vorteile:

This software is easy to use and also easy to build in to what is needed for our firm. I am amazed at how easily it has all flowed with our daily activities with our cases. It keeps each employee accountable for there work and gives our attorney the ability to relax a bit with our deadlines and statue dates.

Nachteile:

The conversion was challenging but to Neos' credit, all of your representatives have been nothing but helpful in training us on how to fix any issues we may have.

Neos Review

Kommentare: Its was positive for the more part. I was very exited about the change. Unfortunately, I feel it takes a lot of time out of the work day when the system is not working properly.

Vorteile:

It was easy to navigate before all the upgrades

Nachteile:

Every time an upgrade is done to the Neos, other features stop working properly.

cloud based access. the review requires me to put more words in to post so i added this useless sentence.

Nachteile:

slow and frankly very difficult to use. The most basic functions that I use all day are ridiculously hard to use. posting emails to the system is a nightmare. oftentimes i find out later that emails did not post to a file. When I attempted to resolve the issue I was told there was no way to. Names of parties in the system will mysteriously change.

Needles Neos - The Best Case Management Software

Kommentare: With Needles Neos being cloud based, and the world still experiencing the Pandemic, I appreciate the fact that I can access ALL my case documents from anywhere in the world. This feature has made working from home seamless.

Vorteile:

The feature I like most is the Checklist which keeps me on track with my cases.

Nachteile:

I think the thing I like least is that I have to ask the administrator to add things and that I am not able to do it myself.

Love the personalization options of Neos!

Kommentare: I love the ease of use of Neos! Also, the amount of items we can personalize to meet our needs is priceless! We also love the documents tab---it saves so much time being able to edit documents from within Neos and have it save into the program.

Vorteile:

Our office has really enjoyed 'getting to know' Neos. The multiple tutorials were exactly what we needed to familiarize ourselves with the new features prior to going live. Our entire team felt prepared to make the switch on our Live date. Everything went seamlessly and the support staff was WONDERFUL and answered all our questions timely. It was a smooth, easy transition.

Nachteile:

My only complaint is how big the screen is. In order to see all the features at once I ended up purchasing a larger screen. On a typical laptop screen you can only see a couple lines of the checklist or value tab which makes it difficult to view. However, this problem was fixed by using a larger screen.

Older Product

Kommentare: It was a moderate experience. I really did like the calendar and found it easy to jump into from other types of scheduling software.

Vorteile:

Needles was my introduction to case management software so at the time I assumed it was "good enough." The calendar feature was the best feature.

Nachteile:

We may have had an older iteration, so features seemed clunky and not intuitive. And the design seemed old fashioned.

Needles Neo review

Vorteile:

Easy and simple to use. System is always improving with updates. Needles Neos is cloud based so you can access it from anywhere.

Nachteile:

No complaints for Needles Neos. Software is always improving with the updates.

Neos is Amazing

Vorteile:

I'm able to breeze through my case work for each client. Documents are at my finger tips and in one place. Billing and notes are easy to find and out into Needles.

Nachteile:

I have not come across anything I do not like.

Easy to Use but Lacking in Search

Vorteile:

It's easy to use and can be logged into from anywhere.

Nachteile:

The search feature is VERY lacking. In the desktop application, the search was able to filter and index more than just letters or characters. This needs to be addressed.
