Best Energy Analytics Software

Kommentare: Am now able to properly run my energy management programs with ease of analytics. I have increase my revenues by 200% just by using this software over the past 1 year.

Vorteile:

Wattics has a great way of visualizing energy data and works with several different brands of meters. It has great way of displaying energy analytics that makes our clients love it. On top of it, the M&V functionality is robust and follow IPMVP protocols of measurement and verification.

Nachteile:

I think wattics can do something on multiple linear regression. Adding this feature will improve the software functionality.

Colorado State University EnergyCap Review

Kommentare: EnergyCAP has been used at this University for more than 30 years because it is a superior product. There have been multiple instances where other applications have been reviewed, and each time, EnergyCAP comes out as a clear winner. The relationships developed with their team is also incredibly valuable.

Vorteile:

The University has used one iteration or another of EnergyCAP since 1990. The current platform is an elegant solution for handling both the energy and accounting functions associated with utility bills. Recommissioning our database was skillfully guided by the EnergyCAP project manager assigned to our team. Our resulting product is much more functional for all users. We now directly link EnergyCAP to Energy STAR's Portfolio Manager to submit data for City and State building performance reporting requirements. Our internal chargeback process has improved as well.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it is hard to know what report filters to select to present the correct data. There is so much functionality, that we often don't have the bandwidth to utilize those features as well as we could. There is a cost to every add-on - though we do understand that is typical in today's market.

Outdated, un-intuitive, glorified spreadsheet

Kommentare: For our purposes, this product is a hammer trying to find a nail; a simple spreadsheet can replace the functionality required for our purposes. The product pricing is not suitable for an institution our size. Essentially, the software has no payback for our campus. It is a constant nuisance to figure out whether the client or web is better for certain tasks. The client is beyond old and needs to be updated. The website interface is made with Flash, which is an outdated technology that most software companies have fled. The entire gui needs to be vetted by an experienced HCI team in order to make product more user friendly.

EnergyCap is a must

Vorteile:

In my opinion, the most important part of EnergyCap is capturing the data which is what all organizations need. It is needed for data requests inside the organization, very helpful for energy reporting, tracking and monitoring. They offer extensive ways to track carbon emissions and see real time values. EnergyCap is a one stop shop for all energy reporting and tracking needs and if the organization isn't currently invested in a similar tool then EnergyCap is definitely recommended. If you have more innovative ideas for dashboards, you can just export the data and do whatever you want with it.

Nachteile:

The default reports that EnergyCap provides are not very helpful. The best way is to have a master report built specifically for the needs at least this is what we do for our organization. Reports and Better visualizations to compare EUIs with previous periods would be good to include.

Kommentare: Overall, I like working in EnergyCAP. [sensitive content hidden] at the Help Desk is wonderful to work with.

Vorteile:

The reporting and the number of reports. The Dashboard is used by all agencies. Meter & building groups/

Nachteile:

The chargebacks and splits are hard to understand. I tried to use the help, but it is lacking details. The reporting filters for the dashboard need to be expanded. The Help Center is good, but there seems to be missing details in some cases. Someone that is not a user should read the help. More instructions cleaning out some of the filters.

Energy Cap for Utility Management

Kommentare: I have been using EnergyCap for 8 years and I know there are plenty of ways to use the system but I just don't know how. I know I need more training so if I do there are plenty of more individuals that also need training.

Vorteile:

Energy Cap provides a platform for tracking all our Utilities so we can see the usage for a monthly total or annual totals to be able to calculate our next year budget.

Nachteile:

Energy Cap isn't the easiest to understand and you become nervous because you don't want to change something that will mess up the system. I think more training would be beneficial to new and current users.

Review Of EnergyCap

Kommentare: The program is very useful for my job. My biggest compliment has to go to [sensitive content hidden]. She has helped me TREMENDOUSLY!!! She is very understanding of my technology shortcomings and never loses her patience. She is AWESOME!!!!!!

Vorteile:

The capability of storing old bills and how far it can go back.

Nachteile:

If I try to do too much, I can be overwhelmed.

EnergyCAP software

Kommentare: Overall, i've only had great experience with EnergyCAP. The sofware is easy to use and very intuitive. Customer service is excellent! If there are any issues or questions, those are resolved in a very timely manner

Vorteile:

for an Energy Manager who's main responsibility is to track/monitor energy/utility costs and consumption, this software is the perfect tool

Nachteile:

software has other options (bill review and approval, etc.) that are not currently utilized by our organization

EnergyCAP Review

Kommentare: I have had a great experience with EnergyCAP!

Vorteile:

I love the software but I have to say that the customer service is outstanding! We were assigned a project manager for some program changes and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. The changes turned out how we wanted them to be!

Nachteile:

I still struggle a bit with the reports. We recently did meet with our project manager and learned more which was helpful.

Why I use EnergyCap

Kommentare: Using EnergyCap has been easy to understand and easy to use.

Vorteile:

I like everything about it. It holds our energy data. I can generate the reports we need. I like the dashboards I can share with people who need overall snapshots of our energy use.

Nachteile:

I can't think of any. I like the way it works and it keeps getting better.

A very good and easy platform to work with

Kommentare: I was able to monitor unexpected power usage due to power condition of the equipment and we saved a lot of money.

Vorteile:

The flexibility to use different meters different type of metering customasable under one platform. Thois will ,provide the end use to collect in one place all the important parameters for auditing/measure and verification.

Nachteile:

Not enough flexibility for the sub metering billing. This reuqires to be expandable and be more flexible as the su metering billing is something that applies after the event and we will need to go back after the main bill is received to apply the charges and spread across varius department.

It's an interesting application. We have satisfied customers who are considering expanding the app..

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

it would be useful to use several types of PLC not just octopus would help if the synoptic schemes for few process could be drawn would help if it could interface with ERP systems through OPC many clients require customized reports, would help if they could be created by admin user

Set up

Kommentare: Energy monitoring, excellent service

Vorteile:

Easy to set up and use, facility to shift between two circuits for the same time and date

Nachteile:

Ease of integration with other meters, formula is a great product but difficult to set up. It would beneficial to have an input of time and date to search energy consumption between two periods.

Wattics, high value solution

Kommentare: We use Wattics to assist them in realizing their actual energy consumption costs which then empowers them to understand there are many solutions they can employ to cut energy costs and increase efficiency.

Vorteile:

Wattics support is excellent and their management team are good listeners and proactive.

Nachteile:

Utility tariff structures can be timeconsuming however this is not a Wattics issue per say but rather electric utilities continually publishing more complex rate structures.

Best Energy Analytics Platform on the Market for Energy Professionals

Kommentare: So far we are extremely impressed with the high levels of customer support, with the training (2.5 hour initial session with Lorenzo yesterday!) and just how vetted with real-world situations and organizations that all of the features seem to be.

Vorteile:

We are so excited about this software because it is tailored for energy professionals. We find that even when selling to building owners or property managers, they are not the experts who know how to make their building as efficient as possible. They need trusted professionals with data to back them up to help them make the best decision on what upgrades are necessary to maximize ROI.

Nachteile:

It is not 100% intuitive, there will still need to be some training for our clients

Kommentare: EnergyCap assigned a very knowledgeable project manager that help us implement the solution very fast and accurately.

Vorteile:

Since EnergyCap physical meters' tree structure is not the same as account tree hierarchy, it is very flixible and easy to set up our chargeback.

Nachteile:

We would like to see more artificial intelligent built into EnergyCap platform.

It's very hard to found anything which I don't like .

The software is easy to use and very flexible specially when you host your own database server.

Kommentare: Pros:
Bill Entry Template creation is very flexible.
Can easily upload electronic bill data using the import function. You can create your own custom report when you host your own database server. Easy tree structure and unit system setup.
Cons:
Standard Reports needs more improvement or modification on the header information
especially when the fiscal year doesn't start on January which is actually misleading in
terms of the billing period year. No selection on the Weather Station Temperature unit. The default unit is always in
degree Fahrenheit. The GHG Emission Factors cannot be edited within the application. There is a limitation on assigning a Rate Code. It only limits 2 rate code changes per
account. It automatically delete the oldest rate code that were assigned to that
particular account.

EnergyCap is a great company to work with. They are knowledgeable in their product.

Vorteile:

It is easy to limit administrative features for users and to control what information is shown to individual users.

Nachteile:

Although enhancements to the product are needed it can be difficult to keep users trained in the new features.

Excellent tool for understanding Data Consumption in your Data Centre

Kommentare: Having worked with Wattics for over 3 years, it is clear that their general knowledge and understanding of energy analytics is second to none. In the Data Centre context, they are a thought leader, in terms of understanding how advanced analytics techniques can be used to optimize energy consumption within the DC and this has been evident through their work in an EU R&D project. Their energy monitoring and analytics system is very suited to the Data Centre use case - they make data collection straightforward and present energy usage and consumption information in an easy to parse, intuitive manner. Their specific supports for the DC use case include calculation of key use case specific metrics - notably PUE - based on the input data set. Recommended for DC managers who want to have a deep, actionable understanding of their energy consumption.

I love it!

Kommentare: Saves presentation preparation time as well as transportation cost. Clients can log in to view and analyze data therefore limits the amount of nationwide traveling for meetings.

Vorteile:

-Easy data uploads. -Great User Interface. -Saves presentation preparation time. -Reliable Customer Support. -It saves time in doing presentations before I had to copy and paste between a spreadsheet and a document processor.

I have been using EnergyCAP software for three years. It is an essential tool for of my job.

Kommentare: EnergyCAP software allows institutions, businesses, and anyone wanting to save energy a quality tool to quantify that reality. It takes the conservation work we do on the ground throughout our facilities, and highlights our success as well as areas where further opportunities exist. EnergyCAP allows me to run a wealth of reports to show others in our institution how we are doing. Benchmarking with this software can show us what has happened, whats happening, as well as what to expect. Without the data generated by EnergyCAP, we would be comparing apples to oranges and people in our institution would not be able to see how their energy conservation efforts add up.

Works to meet many needs.

Kommentare: We use this softwre to track a very large number of accounts across a diverse state that is completely deregulated for electricity and natural gas supply. We have many locations, vendors and reporting needs. This software has met all of the ones we have faced so far. There are custom fields that can be developed for meeting special reporting requirements, over 200 canned reports and all of them import into spreadsheets. The company has been terrific with great response time and better yet, they are always friendly and cheerful no matter what we have done or problem we have created for ourselves. Great software and company.

Have used the on-line version for two years, before that used the off-line version for eight years

Kommentare: Pros: I can access it anywhere, which makes it easy to get the information I need anywhere, 24-7.
Pros: As I gravitated to the new system, the customer service in resolving problems was some of the best I have had in 30+ years of dealing with computer systems! Cons: No way of tracking solid waste and recycling. I still use the old system for that.
Cons: After eight years of pulling information out, it has been a struggle for me personally to be able to convert my thinking over to the new format. There are a lot of new reports and I have to really think about which ones can tell my story. Thanks
