Backend Management Simplified

Kommentare: We use Mainsaver to keep our maintenance and operations team going at full efficiency. Our engineering team tracks calibrations as well.

Vorteile:

I use both Core and Connect in our business. We like Core for our power users and its administration features. Connect is excellent for anyone who needs to submit a request for service, very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Would like to be able to attach a JHA to a job plan, as that isn't possible yet. We sometimes see instability when used with Core through vmware Horizon. I would also like to see an easier way to link invoices/attachments to our Core users.

How Mainsaver works with us every day.

Kommentare: I have always enjoyed using the product, and it works well for us. Support has always been responsive, and hasn't had an issue they haven's solved yet.

Vorteile:

I was involved in the early stages of setting up and using Mainsaver when it was a DOS based process. We have used the product for 30 years, and never considered changing to a different platform. I like that you can't just delete information, since it is attached to other records, but utilities are provided to correct or update information entered. I like that everyone can be given access to meet their specific needs withing the system. I also like that I can see the history and access older PO information as needed.

Nachteile:

No. For our use, it integrates perfectly.

Mainsaver: Power Plant CMMS

Kommentare: I use Mainsaver a lot, and push certain aspects to the limits of their functionality. It has a lot of potential, and some important deficiencies. Overall, it has improved our plant reliability and helped us improve our processes.

Vorteile:

Mainsaver helps us link our PMs and corrective work to our assets and tracks our asset lifetime costs. We use it with the goal of reliability.

Nachteile:

Mainsaver is not very user friendly, windows don't resize, and admin settings are very intricate and hard to decipher.

Mainsaver Efficieny

Kommentare: Mainsaver is an excellent tool for customer service complaints verifies all calls. Equipment Mainsaver provides an accurate financial background of cost to date.Time entry verifies employees working on equipment through asset number.

Vorteile:

Working with the public Mainsaver has documented every call that we have with sewer complaints. It allow us to track an address and our investigate notes are entered into Mainsaver. When inquiries are requested we can provide the history of the address.

Nachteile:

I don't know how to use the exporting tool. I would like to export into an excel spreadsheet.

Kommentare: It is a very good program that only needs polishing in the details that it lacks that are minimal

Vorteile:

Its programming of automatic equipment and its storage of information.

Nachteile:

That cannot be deleted when a part number becomes obsolete, it keeps adding it to inventory

Mainsaver

Kommentare: Wish I could say that we could use it to track costs and help with budgets. But that never happened either.

Vorteile:

The people provided good service.

Nachteile:

It was promised to be able to interface with Great Plains. One of the main reasons we choose Mainsaver. Was told Mainsaver had ex Great Plains people and interface is a snap. This never happened. Also, other similar products can schedule maintenance on beginning of month, or second Tuesday of month, or first week of 2nd quarter etc. Mainsaver could never figure that out or give us that option.

MAINSAVEr

Kommentare: I HAVE TO PLAN MY ENTIRE DAY AROUND MAINSAVER, IT IS SO SLOW AND IF MY BOSS REQUESTS INFORMATION IT IS NOT ACCURATE VIA THE REPORTING SYSTEM AND EXTREMELY SLOW. THAT SAID IT WAS AN EASY PROGRAM TO LEARN WITHOUT INSTRUCTIOn

Vorteile:

USUALLY, THE HELP DESK IS EFFECTIVE. THERE WAS ONLY ONE INSTANCE THAT WAS NOT SATISFACTORy

Nachteile:

ENTIRELY INACCURATE MANAGER REPORTS UNUSABLE AND IT TAKES AN ACT OF GOD TO MAKE IT RIGHT, A COMPLETE TIME VACUUM FOR USERS; TAKES FOREVER AND A DAY TO LOAD THE FILTERs

Efficiency and compliance

Kommentare: Excellent; we tried other systems and we come back to Mainsaver every single time!

Vorteile:

Mainsaver provides the features necessary for companies to manage their equipment and maintenance.Includes all the essential features for organizations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Nachteile:

User interface and search utilities could be improved to make the GUI more user friendly and self evident

Mainsaver review

Vorteile:

It makes it easy to keep track of work that needs to be done and what has already been done.Can plan outage schedules using the preventive maintenance and maintenance modules.

Nachteile:

We usually have internet connectivity issues and when they happen, many error messages pop up, preventing the application from being closed and erasing the information that had been written and not saved.I think a reconnection feature that doesn't crash the software is a very important quality of life feature that could save a lot of technician's time.

Not impressed with "new Mainsaver"

Kommentare: Mainsaver causes more lack of productivity for me. I can't stand it.

Vorteile:

I have used mainsaver since it's earliest inception as a Citrix program. I thought it was terrible then. I grew to tolerate it for several years. The new mainsaver is terrible. It is very hard to use. Printing the PMs is a frustrating, TIME CONSUMing exercise in futility. The new hires we get give up on it right off the bat and won't even try to get accustomed to it.

Nachteile:

See above. NOT user friendly. It may be partially due to our IT support.

Mainsaver Review

Kommentare: Very positive. In my opinion their services staff is what makes them stand out. From support to implementation.

Vorteile:

Unlimited users for mobile platform, automation of work management

Nachteile:

Since it is a 45-year-old application, there is user configuration by role to scale back the functionality designed for production, energy, pharmaceutical, higher education, municipalities.

Mainsaver Maintenance Management

Kommentare: It's an average application. It serves its purpose which logs work requests, assets and PM schedules. But generating reports is a pain.

Vorteile:

Application is fairly easy to use once you're able to log into the system. Able to switch back and forth between modules quickly.

Nachteile:

The Management Reports were not useful and loading the application takes a few minutes at start up, with lots of issues many times from scaling display, Horizon errors, or query errors leading to application closure. I think the most least favorite function was exporting reports which looked like a jumble mess that involves a lot of editing to make it possible to understand the data.

Mainsaver...

Kommentare: It does what you want it to but not without many work arounds. when asking for changes from Spidex get the answer...mainsaver say that's not in the next update and are not working on it.

Vorteile:

Mainsaver is a one stop shop for purchasing, projects, stock mangement and CMMS. Does a lot of things.

Nachteile:

Does a lot of things badly....why can't there be more than 2000 characters in the action field! Why is the scheduling window so cluncky and impractical? Keep having to find ways around issues that are generated after every update.

Review

Kommentare: It has a lot of nice features and overall is a good program. It is not user friendly though when it comes to the warehouse that needs to move or re-organize its warehouse as moving parts and updating their new locations is time consuming and tedious to do which deters one from wanting to relocate parts for organization.

Vorteile:

Product is mostly easy to use. Do have some issues with the parts location section. See below.

Nachteile:

1. Cycle counting does not always seem to work correctly. 2. Does not have a "mass update" feature for parts. 3. Moving parts to a new location is time consuming. (no mass update) 4. Hate the feature that a new location line pops up when going to the location tab for a part. It slows the process down for doing updating. Get rid of this feature please!!! Just use the "Add" location button if needed.

Great platform for maintenance management

Kommentare: With Mainsaver, our team has become more organized, efficient, and proactive in addressing maintenance issues.

Vorteile:

This software has truly streamlined our maintenance processes. What sets Mainsaver apart is its robust reporting and analytics features, which provide valuable insights into our maintenance performance and help us make data-driven decisions.

Nachteile:

Some additional user interface/experience enhancements would be welcomed, as well as first-party integrations to other analytics platforms such as PowerBI.

Kommentare: My experience has been great working with the Mainsaver teamany time we needed help or training the service was excellent

Vorteile:

The Asset information set-up helps pull the needed information when pulling a variety of reports

Nachteile:

I came from SAP and there seemed to be more short cuts in SAP when looking up information between WO and PO

Worse program

Kommentare: Awful. This program is so bad that i am currently looking for another job in procurement that does not use this program.

Vorteile:

Modules makes it easier to find where you need to go.

Nachteile:

About how inconsistent this program is. Not user friendly at all. Customer service response is always, "There is nothing we can do". Changes default settings constantly. Had to pay just for upgrades that should have been included in any program. After saving purchase orders, fields disappear for no reason.

Mainsaver-Time Extender

Kommentare: Tolerating!

Vorteile:

We have used Mainsaver for years for the generation of Work Orders and some asset management. Works well for this.

Nachteile:

Definitely not user friendly. And definitely not an accounting program. Customization is only at the Mainsaver techs level. Difficult to make changes internally.

Vorteile:

UI and help index improved since first use in 2020.

Nachteile:

Quite slow at times, UI not as customizable as a user as I would have liked to removed unneeded feature and menus, custom queries should be more user friendly

Will not recommend

Kommentare: We are just using the basics, when is difficult to extract information for further manipulation there is not much value

Vorteile:

Nothing out of the ordinary, it just a simple database, can't do much analytics

Nachteile:

The reporting add on is awfull is does not work most of the time

Maintenance management

Kommentare: Been much better than previous CMMS program

Vorteile:

Scheduling and completing preventative and corrective maintenance.

Nachteile:

Annual materials management can be difficult

Asset Management System

Vorteile:

Give me the ability to keep track of assets and inventory of stocked items and equipment

Nachteile:

There a lot of functionality that is not being used because of lack of training and knowlegde

Kommentare: Could not have asked for a better experience!

Vorteile:

The people at Mainsaver made some of our transitions and new location setups as easy as possible. It is reassuring that there are highly intelligent folks at Mainsaver. We asked a lot of Mainsaver in one of our recent acquisitions and they met the challenge head-on! The product is easy to use and [sensitive content hidden]' training methods and his down to earth attitude made it a breeze!

Nachteile:

There was nothing that I could say negative about Mainsaver.
