Vorteile:

Ease of use and scheduling and being able to add on other useful services the work with the program. Customer service is spot on and they have always been able to resolve any issues I’m having.

Nachteile:

Expense makes it difficult to justify when keeping overhead low in our office. All of the features that really make this software efficient are add on features and cost extra.

Great Quality, Great Service

Kommentare: I have worked with ChirTouch for 5 years and I love it. I recommend it to all chiropractors I work with. Customer service is, more often than not, very helpful and they are at least attentive and quick to respond. The whole system is seamlessly integrated from online apt requests, auto population of paperwork, self check-ins, billing, it really is outstanding compared to all other chiro software I work with. The only thing that needs help is the patient statements. Instead of separating the amount due from the insurance co and the patient, it will put those two amounts together, before the insurance has paid the DOS and print a statement as if the patient owes the whole balance so with the 100s of patients we have, it is not economical to print all those statements and go through them one by one for accuracy. I have yet to figure out the best way to print accurate statements in bulk fashion and welcome help from ChiroTouch or anyone else familiar with this.

Vorteile:

One thing only - the patient statements are too complicated when trying to do a 'mass' monthly production.

Kommentare: We were moving from an EHR that was not working well for the clinic.

Vorteile:

The version I have is hosted at the office. I know that EHR is going to an online platform and that is the "in thing" right now. But, with the hosted version, I own the licence and once paid off, I don't have to make that 400$ a month payment to use it.

Nachteile:

They do not guide you on how to use the software in real life practice. Yes, they teach you what the buttons do. But knowing what the dials on an airplane mean is not the same thing as flying an airplane. They only give you access to the manual for the program if you buy their maintenance package. But, the manual is very lacking on any detailed information that makes it extremely useful. It is a very cumbersome software package to start using. Also, they do not integrate with QuickBooks. I wished that I could get the finances from this program to talk with QuickBooks.

Kommentare: The auto SALT feature has made SOAP note taking simple but incredibly effective. Both our chiropractor and massage therapists love this feature as it has saved them time. CT Remind has saved me many hours from manually sending text reminders through a third party application, and I like that you can customize what the text and email say.

Vorteile:

I love how easy it was to implement this software in our office. We were on a time crunch and needed to switch to a new software as fast as possible, and the support we've had throughout our transition has been phenomenal. Our enrollment specialist, Dionne Johnson, has been my saving grace with answering my endless questions about the enrollments and anything pertaining to billing.

Nachteile:

Because ChiroTouch has so many features, it can be intimidating coming from a much simpler software like eThomas. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the support and articles they provide have been incredibly helpful, and again, Dionne has made the whole billing process a breeze.

Everything necessary wrapped in one package

The text message reminder requires you to indicate the carrier. If it is incorrect, the patient will not always receive their reminder text.

Beware of extortionate after costs.

The NWC Experience

Kommentare: Recent I signed up for CT ProBill and the experience has been the most outstanding. Not only did I have an awesome team to expedite the process, I gained a "biller" that far exceeded my expectations. My clinic was only collecting 19.2% before [sensitive content hidden] took over. She was thorough in her analysis, clear with her explanations and available every step of the way. I literally thought I would have to close my doors because money was not coming in. In reality, claims were not being submitted by the in-house biller. [sensitive content hidden] took it upon her own to submit the claims that were just hanging in the wind, so-to-speak, with no benefit to herself. [sensitive content hidden] not only proved that she was more than competent for the job, but that she wants my clinic to succeed as much as I do!

Vorteile:

ChiroTouch is the simplest EHR that I've ever used. The training is outstanding. I love that you can make it as personal as you need it.

Nachteile:

While I like the macros, I am not crazy about the 7.2 version. The 7.0 is definitely better.

We have a multi doctor clinic and it has been pretty straight forward on using the system as well as teaching it to new staff members. We are able to get our notes done quickly

ChiroTouch is comparative

Kommentare: I have been using ChiroTouch since 2016 (before that I used SmartCloud). There were many features in SmartCloud that were superior to ChiroTouch and visa versa. All in all, I like the software and have no difficulties using it.

Vorteile:

User friendly. Easy to learn and understand.

The reports are complex and do not give you the specific information you need at times.

The Best of the Best, People, Software, Support

Kommentare: The people behind this product have the expertise and willingness to support a practice in . every single aspect of the business. I have been in business for a long time and have never had the pleasure of working with such a great knowledgeable, and supportive team. The software developers have designed the system for us the working doctors. This means that from the intake, to the input of soap notes and exams into ipads quickly on the go while in the treatment room, to the EHR aspects of practise this team is working for the success of the working doctor.
Now, I have never actually done the billing personally before as I have always had trained personnel to handle this. Recently I was left with a mess in the billing department and no clue as to how to untangle the snarled backlog, catch up to present day, and to get that department and the clinic finances back in working order. I reached out to Chirotouch support and they gave me Cheryl Davenport, who is the closest thing to an Angel for this profession I have come across. She systematically worked day in and day out with me to untangle the accounts, and bring this doctor up to speed in the accounts receivable and brought me from zero billing knowledge to the point I should have been in knowing the billing aspect of my own practice so that this will never happen again. She did this with humor, and patience and did it at 6:00 in the morning when I had time to dedicate to billing. Her patience and resolve to problem solve is unmatched. I have never found support that comes anywhere close to that provided by Chirotouch.
Chirotouch is truly the Rolls Royce of the Chiropractic Software world. The software you purchase for your office will either make your working world more functional, legally compliant, productive, and ease each day...or it won't. So, consider this software to be an investment in your future financial well being, but also a tool to make each day less stressful and more enjoyable with each action during the day.

Vorteile:

This software is visually pleasing, intuitive, and comprehensive. The developers have brought the tedious soap notes to heel with ipad menus that really work. With software I have used in the past I found myself wishing for this feature, or that feature, or wishing the developers had to actually use their own software as working doctors. With Chirotouch I have not once come across something missing that they did not already think about. From the scheduling, to the billing, to the reports, to the legal compliance, they have thought of everything.

Not Worth it!!!

Kommentare: It looks like it would be a great software with all of the features they offer, however they are lacking some basic things that are essential. If you want an added feature or changes to the software good luck, you have to type up a suggestion, submit it and hope your peers vote on it in large quantities. They offer features but then don't have the ability to make them fully work. Example: They say you can use the software from 2 different office locations, we found out the hard way you cannot use the software at 2 different locations at the same time and scheduling for 2 different locations is impossible. Also, when you need pull a financial report you cannot separate the 2 different facilities, this is quite basic and vital to a practice with multiple locations. You can put in inventory to sell your supplements/products (seems like a nice feature) but you cannot pull a financial report per provider just on your inventory. Currently I'm having to manually add up every single inventory item on our monthly reports just to pay the Dr correctly. Bottom line for reports, they are just lacking all together. Not everyone pays their Dr's or therapists the same way thus making custom reports necessary. Email/text msg reminders, they constantly stop working, since its a server based system we have to go into the server and manually restart this chirotouch feature. Also, you don't know they've stopped working until a patient doesn't show up, you call them and they tell you they never got our reminder (how embarrassing).

Every different section of the system is in the form of an App. Billing, patient file, claims, scheduling, the system laid out this way makes things too separated with having to click multiple times to accomplish 1 task.
They also up charge you for every single feature: text reminders, integration of clearinghouse, support, ehr, premium intakes forms, different apps, etc. It's extremely costly.

Obsolete System

Kommentare: Was not a terrible experience thanks to outstanding support team they have employed there to manage a boring and outdated program. This is an expensive entry level program at best and for the money I expected more. There are just to many better options available on the market that are more economical.

Vorteile:

During the four years my office was on I found the support staff outstanding. They were always helpful and understood how to fix ever single issue. I can not say the same for the folks responsible for keeping the software updated and cutting-edge. Many chiropractic software programs have surpassed this system. They get clients by out marketing their competitors and not by having superior software. Always the largest both at any state convention with the most salespeople. Their sales staff are some of the best but they need it to support the substandard and below average software. The program is fairly stable with hiccup’s typically occurring after every update. It’s a windows based program and constantly having to be updated. I would not purchase this software without getting yearly support package because you will experience problems requiring expert help. If you are unwilling to purchase the support package, then do not purchase the software.

Nachteile:

The software is obsolete and behind current software produced by top medical, dental, hospital and most chiropractic software. A good example of this is the softwares inability for the provider to charge the patient monthly interest on personal balances beyond 30, 60 or 90 days. Inability to produce define reports for collections or monitoring case categories is missing. Want produce a report on personal patient balances beyond 30, 60 or 90 days. I think this software is more geared to NOPE practitioners who don’t balance bill patients and write off everything the insurance does not pay. Simple things like expanding or enlarging the anatomical man is impossible. I mostly had to use a mouse because without being able to expand the anatomical man, the dots were too small to activate with large fingers. Only answer is to purchase large monitors. So if you purchase the program, I advise buying the largest touch monitors made because you can not touch and expand drop boxes. Programming templates is also very difficult and the program constantly reminded me of build sentences like the old bar scan systems. You punch and peck all day long to build a note. Program does not auto randomize sentence structure when it salts notes so every not ends up looking like a cloned note. It’s a huge paper hog cause most daily notes take at the minimum one entire page. So many areas for needed improvements, I could list pages of needed up grades. The programmers seem to lack incentive to improve.

Be aware: They increase rates after purchase and customer service when you have a problem is worthless

Kommentare: I have used this program for years and loved it until they merged with Chirotouch. In the last month, this program has cost me patients and money. I will explain below.
For the last month, they program has been operating very slowly and many of the features do not function at all that we use in our office daily. Their support line said they're "in crisis mode" and had to hire an outside company to try to fix it. It would be nice to have some sort of ETA and to have the other issues I had looked at, but at this time all resources are being utilized for trying to fix the major problems making the entire thing incredibly slow.
The main thing that bothers me about this software is that after you pay the upfront cost, they have a monthly service contract. It was expensive, which I was fine with and was assured it was a price for life thing. Well, the salesman wasn't quite right on that. They apparently bumped that up in July this year. So, just be aware, that they will likely be upping that on you from time to time after purchasing.
The biggest problem I have with this company is their complete inability to get their billing done correctly. Initially, I gave them my autopay info and a month later I got an email stating they didn't have it. So I resubmitted it and they gave me a confirmation email that I would be billed. Long story short, 14 months later, I get an email that my account is past due (I figured it was because my card had recently been stolen/reissued). Nope. They messed up somehow and now I've got a bill for all the months they didn't charge me. Now if it were my business where I messed up like that, I would have written it off. However, they don't see it that way.
Regarding the software, there are several pros and cons. I will lay them out below:
Pros:
It can be fast when it's working properly.
There are macro settings for just about everything you need
It's easy to customize forms
Cons:
There are way too many drop downs resulting in a lot of clicks
The cloud system is very laggy on the poor internet and even on the fast internet you sit and wait for it to respond a lot.
It has to update a lot.
When there is an issue, customer support hold times are very long and not very helpful in the many times I've had to contact them.
Billing is very clunky and slow with too many pages to navigate and have to wait to load (again make sure you have Comcast and the highest speed on a fast computer; it helps, but it still sucks)
Adding staff is a pain because you have to have them do it on their side
You're limited to 2 providers unless you want to pay more for each additional provider, which sucks if you want your massage therapists to be able to do SOAP notes etc.
My biggest complaint software wise is the number of drop downs. If you do any amount of orthopedic testing, it takes forever to enter the information/results. There is a drop down bar for each exam where you select the result, and then have several lines where you have to enter info. You can't reset it to a default negative and just change the positive ones, so it is a huge hassle, plus there are no macro's to put positive results (ie. where the pain was etc...)

Waste of time, energy and money

At this point, I can't say anything good about them. Some of the customer service people we interacted with recently were nice.

Nachteile:

Imagine you buy a brand new car; you get in and drive off only to realize there are no seat belts in some of the seats; there is a hole where the radio should be; the car is missing a spare tire, and the fluid containers in the engine are half empty; and of course there are no windshield wipers. The car you Demoed had ALL these functionality. Then off and on, the headlights won't work; just randomly you hit the gas pedal but the car won't respond as you'd expect it to respond. That is Chirotouch in a nutshell. Their response to that is " every doctor wants things differently, so we let you go to the Community page" and basically teach yourself how to use Chirotouch - in the mean time, you are trying to run an efficient clinic without compromising patient care and patient flow. Chirotouch is a chiropractic software, yet they do not have one single "Macro" or preset texts related to Spinal Manipulation; which is the heart of our entire practice across the board. But they have Preset Macros for a lot of other useless items like specific brand nutrition supplement companies that are not necessarily in many clinics. This is like you live in Houston, you get a heated car seat which you really never need, but the car still has no seatbelt or tires. Since we signed a contract with them nearly 7-8 months ago, we have not been able to use it like it should be used. In the meantime, Chirotouch still charges monthly without any effort to credit us for the months we repeatedly have issues with functionality. Since we wrote several bad reviews, we got their attention, but even then, we still can't get resolution to most of our issues. So now we interact with nice customer service personnel but sadly nice does not cover the cost of money, headache and distraction. EHRs are supposed to make the practice of chiropractic more efficient; not worse. Chirotouch practically requires you to get 4 year degree to figure out how to make it work, but even then, the glitches in software programming prevents you from actually doing it.

Server based vs. web based is crippling our business

Kommentare: Overall, this software used to work with us, but as we added more practitioners, it doesn't work for more than one Practitioner/Doctor. This software needs to move to web based. The system continues to glitch everyday several times a day and it's not efficient for a fast pace practice with multiple practitioners.

Vorteile:

Care plan set up, connecting accounts, reporting is pretty good.

Nachteile:

Not WEB based and we are in 2020. The server is crippling us as remote access doesn't currently work and hasn't been working for months. Practitioners can only view their schedule when it was working. It's not user friendly to login remote and change anything. You cannot see the patient's info (e.g. phone number, email, etc.). Remote access is not really remote access. The system continues to glitch everyday several times a day (e.g. changes the block scheduling colors) and it's not efficient for a fast pace practice with multiple practitioners. Our team makes mistakes with scheduling because of the system glitches. We have escalated our complaints and there are tickets for several issues with the system which we pay for support however, nobody contacts us back or finds a resolution to our issues. We have been with CT for over 6 years now. It's not conducive for a multi-disciplinary practice like ours that has grown in the last 1.5 years with multiple practitioners/doctors. If CT was Web based or had better online remote access, booking, and we didn't have problems with the system glitching several times a day, we would stay. However, we have moved on to a different platform that will work for us.

Clunky, dated, not intuitive, time consuming

Kommentare: ChiroTouch is like an old house that has had multiple extensions by different do-it-yourselfer's... it just doesn't work. It is very burdensome to work around. You have navigate so many screens to get a simple bit of information or generate reports. While technically it has "everything", most of the beneficial streamlining options you either have to add-on and pay extra (and even then it doesn't work that well), or it is more burdensome to navigate and incorporate then you were lead to believe. The ONLY reason I am still using it is because my partner and our staff are too worried about the transition effort and time to go to a new software.
I cannot think a single week in the last six months that I have been satisfied with this system. Please look elsewhere. I would continue, but I am out of time.

Vorteile:

It has almost everything you can think you would need for a vast array of modalities or techniques. The macros are costumizible, then again that pretty much standard no matter what software you have.

Nachteile:

IT is scheduled out a month (so if you have a problem you'll be high-and-dry for awhile), and the highly publicized chat feature is less than adequate. EVERYTHING is an add-on charge. You want better billing systems/money collection... add-on (third-party) charge. You want better intake procedures... add-on (third party) charge. You want customization of forms or questionnaires... not going to happen. You want a patient portal and easy patient tracking and check in... not going to happen. Technologically WAY behind. The interface, the navigation, reports, syncing info or uploading forms, communication with other software, etc.feels like is 10-15 years behind.

Vorteile:

I had the opportunity to evaluate the top 6 software companies of the time and shows ChiroTouch as the best available at the time. Initially, I was so impressed with the integration between daily notes, charges, and diagnoses that I help the company with demonstrations those early days. Our clinic services between 140 and 170 services per day and I’m happy to say that ChiroTouch is able to keep up with this Dement. I appreciate the regular updates and their response to provider feedback. Their multiple service packages make this EMR a no-brainer for a start-up practices or a multimillion dollar practice like ours. In this day and age of increased regulatory control and oversight it is absolutely ridiculous to me that some doctors are still paper charting their daily visits. They are setting themselves up for audits, post service reviews and possibly huge fines. It is my opinion that ChiroTouch does everything it possibly can to support me in maintaining strong compliance as well as privacy for the long- term security of our practice.

Nachteile:

As with any large company customer service is a massive challenge. ChiroTouch remains innovative in staying up with the demands of their company utilizing technology to maximize customer service.

Vorteile:

If you are willing to go through the learning curve it is a good product. It will do most everthing you need to run the office and it gives you many different options. It handles billing and claims and patient scheduling

Nachteile:

To get the most out of it you need several add ons to an already expensive product. They have tried to make eveyone happy and added a lot of complexity to the program. Everything is spread out and requires seveal apps to make the process work. IF you want automation it requries outside or at least additional apps that require additional fees.

Have been using CT for a little over a year

Vorteile:

ChiroTouch is quick can make a note in a very short time. The staff members are nice. The Front Office portion is very good. The touch screen processing is very nice.

Nachteile:

1. The charting takes a significant number of clicks to create a really compliant note. The daily notes take a good bit of work to make them show a difference from one visit to the next. Easy for a cash patient, not so much for an insurance patient that has to meet standards of someone looking over your shoulder to meet compliance. 2. The staff is unable to do any input into the chart as a staff member. They are force to use the logon credentials to do something as simple as putting in PHI or ROS (and if the doctor is creating a note while they are using the doctor's credentials to add this clerical info, the note being done by one of the users will not be saved) 3. The outcome assessment info is not integrated into the chart note; it must be imported to create a graphical reference but is independent from the note itself. My preference is that the data would actually be in the chart note itself. If this was done, the program could be used to create meaningful goals based on the outcome assessment instead of just collecting data for reporting. 4. Vitals for the EHR component when put in for meaningful use are not integrated into the chart, which causes double entry. 5. The CT sign-in is cumbersome and really aggravating. The patients often click "no symptoms" just because it is the easiest choice. They cannot have any realistic options to show radiating pain; it just makes them chose pain at each site. (For instance, neck pain with radiating arm pain would end up being reported as neck pain, shoulder pain, and elbow pain. It does not show any connection that the extremity pain is coming from the neck. There is a form that allows for radiating pain, but it allows the patient to say things that do not make sense, like neck pain that radiates to the foot (in the same sentence they can say it does not refer) and that it radiates into the right arm. Many times, it takes 3-5 mins to fix a subjective that the patient has put in. It also does not allow for doing documents that are attached to a daily note, like a doctor's note, digitally. They have some of these in the program, but they are not directly integrated and just add another step instead of making it a simple process.

Chirotouch, still the best even after 10 years!

Kommentare: The fact that we remain with this company for over 10 years, should say a lot. We have looked at other programs, but to date, none offer the complete package like Chiro Touch. I highly recommend. We have not chosen the cloud based option at this time. I do wish they would offer the buy out component again instead of the individual software subscriptions.

Vorteile:

It is a very easy system to use, and offers plenty of tutorials to walk you through every aspect of the program. The support is exactly that, support. The response time and accuracy of the "fix" is great!

Nachteile:

We have been with ChiroTouch for over 10 years and early on, we followed their advice on support programs for our credit card processing and now, they want us to use someone else. I don't know why they stopped supporting Cash Practice, but it is very difficult to change again now that we are so well established and we like Cash Practice and do not have a good reason to leave at this time. Chiro Touch also had another company contact us for additional software of patient notifications, and there was no point, as Chiro Touch offers this already and it works great!

Used to be one of the best until merger in 2015

Kommentare: I have been with smart loud since 2014. At the time it was a large outlay to adopt. Costly, but based on the competition prices and the excellent support, I thought it was fair.
The software and its options are extensive, but ironically, don't seem to allow a lot of common Chiropractic options. For instance, I have had to run a concurrent software package to allow me to run "recall lists". Things may have changed, but to date, I still know no way to tell the software to run a list of absentee patients or search for patients that have dropped from care. A second instance is the patient scheduling...how they made a simple patient scheduling system so unyielding and complicated is beyond me. I have never used the smart cloud patient schedule, despite the apparent convenience of having an online schedule available to me due to its flaws.
That being said, it was not perfect but it was still one of the best at the time, and the support was outstanding. Unfortunately, that all changed in mid-2015. Terrible support is being kind at present. It also seems that the once quick response pages turn at glacial speed and make note taking hands on with patient almost impossible. I have recently decided to drop them after the monthly support was raised this summer. It has been explained to me that because they now have more functions ( haven't seen any) the support needs to increase. I suspect a different reason: namely the initial purchase price has dropped. It seems obvious that they dropped the purchase price and raised the monthly to make up for the loss. I can't condemn the approach, but when I informed them that I PAID fully the original cost and should not be subject to the increase, they were unsympathetic.
This leaves me with the last peeve I have. I am unable to "sell" the software I paid for since the "purchase " price from the company seems to ever decrease.
Overall, what I was left with was an above average software for note taking, an average system for admin and billing and a very sub-par system for scheduling and reports.

I obviously would Not recommend.

Macro-based software with many shortcomings

Vorteile:

Once the macros are set-up, the EHR software is easy to use. Customer support is fair, but you must call and leave a message and wait for a call back.

Nachteile:

The program has multiple modules, but do not seamlessly work together intuitively. The program was built originally for low resolution screens, and has not been updated to current higher resolution monitors. Many of the boxes are not large enough to view pertinent information. Example, ICD 10 code diagnoses are lengthy in description. The diagnosis box doesn't allow you to read the entire diagnosis. Therefore it's very frustrating and perplexing to work with. I have been using this program for close to 10 years, and it has not been visually updated since. I'm sure there are more up-to-date programs on the market.

As it is of course in the interest of all of our clients we strive to perpetually improve our products and offerings with each new release. You will be pleased to know that with the upcoming version 7.0 , which we plan to begin updating clients to in 2018 that the software interface has been given a complete facelift per se which will allow for screen and hot button resizing as well as a total user interface revamp with improved graphics and functionality. All the features ad buttons are in the same place but the interface itself has been tremendously improved. I look forward to hoping it will satisfy some of your mentioned concerns!

Big promises that currently fall short

Kommentare: The past 10 months with Smart cloud have been up and down. I understand there is not a system out there that is going to have it all. That being said...
--Learning curve was steep coming from Practice Studio.
--They stated seamless integration with their clearing house which I still have to create a file in Smartcloud, go online to Trizetto's website to click multiple pages and buttons, then manually upload said file.
--They promised a soon coming mobile schedule which was in beta testing during the interview. This has yet to become available in almost a year.
--Performance issues abound in the past series of months which make it impossible to use the software during a number of prime time evenings. Not fun flying blind on a busy night and not be able to start notes, peruse old notes, Hx, and Tx, or reschedule our patients. Yet they refuse to reimburse or give credit for lost days of their service.
--Promised simple ERA application, not the case. Even if all the expected fee schedules are right (diffusely complicated) then it still takes multiple screens per patient to make sure everything is applied correctly. Also requires manual retrieval from clearing house.

Vorteile:

Priced well (monthly) against a number of competitors for what the program normally does. Very fast notes once they are set up and the system is working. Billing from notes is convenient until changes have to be made (like when a patient forgets to tell you they had a change in insurance). Text reminders definitely help keep patients on track.

Nachteile:

Submitted problem tickets take 1-2 days to be addressed. Frequent slow periods (performance issues). Clearing house is not as integrated as stated. Billing system does not handle Automated EOBs (ERAs) well at all, faster to manually enter. Patient text reminders is an extra monthly charge. No way to check schedule from phone.

Kommentare: Since I started having CTProbill do my billing for me, I have been able to spend more time with my patients.

Vorteile:

It's all in one. Don't have to open any other programs. Support is great. [sensitive content hidden] and my team have been making life a lot easier.

Nachteile:

I wish you could enter payments by date instead of by line item. And I wish you could take an initial evaluation or Final evaluation and could create a report for the same date of service instead of only being able to write just a single note or a SOAP note.
