Vorteile:

We have used IndySoft for the past 10 years to fully manage our ISO 17025 commercial metrology lab as we service a very large and diverse customer base nationwide. What we like most about the software is the ability to completely customize our workflows to mold the processes around our business, rather than conforming the business to how the software operates. The capability of fine-tuning the customization with custom scripts and programming is unmatched by any other calibration software we've come across. The support from all staff, consistent software updates and fast response to any issues has never faltered over the years, and we remain confident that IndySoft is the best solution for our business needs.

Nachteile:

For some of our users who are less technically-inclined, the software can seem daunting for performing what might be considered basic functions. Tasks can sometimes be buried under a deep layer of menu options but with the recent addition of a fully-customizable Dashboard interface, these tasks can be more exposed as needed for ease of access. As with any software updates, occasionally bugs are introduced that did not exist in prior versions. Most often, these bugs are minor but we will occasionally encounter bugs after updates that adversely affect our production. Luckily, given IndySoft's responsiveness, these issues are usually quickly addressed and rectified in a reasonable time frame. Given our experiences, we approach every published update with caution and maintain a test environment in order to fully vet each update before deployment to production.

IndySoft-the best software I've ever used

Kommentare: Love the software, love the company. They employee full time metrologists to help them with system development and improvements. That shows me just how committed they are to their craft.

Vorteile:

Honestly, there aren't very many things that I don't like about IndySoft. Like most people, I have used tons of software for many business and personal applications. I have said it again and again, IndySoft is the best software I've ever used. IndySoft as a company builds software. But they understand the calibration process and all of the nuances that go with it and have melded software and application together perfectly. There are a large number of standard characteristics available as-is and an endless number more of potential custom fields/attributes that can be created and applied to make your calibration system truly one of a kind. Layouts/views/formats are all fully to your liking and easily modified without assistance, yet their Help Desk is always there to get you past a bump or to assist with any overaly complicated modification you can think up.

Nachteile:

The only thing that I would like to see improved is the classifications and naming of the available fields. As mentioned above, the number of fields that can be utilized is limitless. But sometimes the names are abbreviated or identified differently in some areas making them a bit difficult to follow through the system. Similarily, some fields are simply checkboxes (which serve a great purpose) but it's not always easy to identify exactly what each field or group of fields is capable of. So there is often some time lost to-trial-and-error when creating new functions. But this is truly minor when compared to the functionality that is available.

Has potential, needs more development

Kommentare: Support can be slow sometimes- for example I have an open ticket that is still unresolved after a month, where a function that worked previously is now broken.

Vorteile:

Industry standard for calibration labs, familiar platform

Nachteile:

New revisions don't address real-world needs and functionality. Seems like fluff over function.

Commercial Calibration Lab

Kommentare: Commercial Calibration Software is the back-bone of a calibration lab, and every employee here uses it daily. I'm incredibly happy with the decision to move to IndySoft, and I would recommend it to anyone in a similar industry.

Vorteile:

The best thing about this software is the team that comes with it. By design the software is built to be customizeable, so set-up is a process. The implementation team at Indysoft has been unparalleled from the very beginning. With their help, I was able to configure a software package tailored to my lab that felt like it was built from the ground-up for my company.

Nachteile:

There is an answer to every problem I had, but a few more pre-built default layouts that showcased "intended-use" cases would be a welcomed addition.

Making life easier

Kommentare: After our in house super user had helped to get it to where we needed it, it's been very good.

Vorteile:

Once populated this is an easy way to log every piece of equipment that is sent to us. As I'm admin, the storage of historic notes and scan files/photos makes booking in more efficient every year. We now have a build up of nearly 7 years. Indysoft is in constant use throughout the day.

Nachteile:

Any cons are really small nit picky things, some have been resolved. Nothing to make much of a comment on.

USL Review

Kommentare: It has been a great experience, and I couldn't ask for better customer service.

Vorteile:

It is very user-friendly and can be set up for each company

Nachteile:

It is expensive, but we are a cloud-based user.

The best there is in lab management software and support.

Kommentare: Perfection. If I had to use anything else I would revolt.

Vorteile:

All of it, but ease of use followed closely by support.

Nachteile:

Nothing. Everything about it is fantastic!

Lots of power, features, and functionality. Can be non-intuitive to use and difficult to implement.

Vorteile:

Lots of features and functionality. When we are looking for a new feature, it is usually there hidden under some rock. Customer support is now quite good. It seems there are a number of positive changes that have occurred in the last year or two in the company, product, and support.

Nachteile:

The documentation / help files, while extensive, still do not do an adequate job of documenting everything that is in the product. The Uncertainty Module is very difficult to implement especially to thoroughly handle all conditions and calculations can be very slow. Initial implementation was very difficult & training was poor.

Indysoft Functionality

Vorteile:

Very easy to teach and use as a beginner. Asset and calibration management is also quite easy given the tools and search features.

Nachteile:

Customization can be difficult for building reports and troubleshooting issues. It was also very difficult to get MetCal implemented within our Indysoft program.

Product is very easy to use. We have been using IndySoft since 2014.

Vorteile:

User friendly, customizable, great customer service. We are not a Calibration service provider. We use this in our plant and we have outside Calibration service providers work in our system to perform our calibrations. The staff at IndySoft customized the system for our needs. Our contractors find it very easy to navigate within the system. We are currently looking to add additional Calibration certs for some filter testing and have found the support and flexibility of IndySoft and the development staff a joy to work with. Very professional and customer service oriented.

Nachteile:

I have not found anything on this system that I do not like. If I had to pick one thing it would be the online help menu. It is not easy to find the topics I am looking for by using the search "Key word" function.

Indysoft

Kommentare: We were able to centralize out tool database consisting of over 700,000 tools and eliminate three other databases that were used to manage tools.

Vorteile:

Integration was somewhat complex. However, once configured, the software is intuitive and easy to use.

Nachteile:

The configuration requires forethought and planning. If not planned out properly, change down the road can be difficult.

We are still experiencing problems with backups and templates.

Vorteile:

It does have many feature that we ares still learning about. For the most part it seems pretty user friendly, but in all honesty, my limited experience with these type of applications I have nothing to compare it to.

Nachteile:

Seems to be unstable. We have templates that seem to change on their own or test point even disappear.

Love the product

I have been using Indysoft for a long time, I enjoy working with Indysoft they are easy to deal with and are willing to listen to any problems we have. I have referred many customers in the calibration industry to Indysoft

The product is very user friendly and mostly customizable for individual needs. It is easy for even the most computer illiterate person to use.

Nachteile:

I do not like the inability to create reports using gage level and event level data in the same report.

IndySoft has helped to greatly streamline and simplify management of our calibration equipment.

Kommentare: Customizable templates, easy reporting, automated form/label generation, quick visual status indication, auto numbering scheme.

Vorteile:

My favorite feature of the software so far has been the ability to create custom templates for common tool families, and easily modify all associated records by changing the template.

Nachteile:

I wish you could setup custom shortcuts, as well as have the option to choose a custom color scheme that is easier on the eyes.

Indysoft calibration management review

Vorteile:

Easy to use, Very clear interface that needs very little explanation. Very good and quick customer service that is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Nachteile:

Nothing to mention here. I really like the software as it is.

The software is very powerful but would like to see a simpler format.

Kommentare: This software provided us with the necessary tools to pass our ISO and TS audits.

Vorteile:

The software is very customizable which allows for a lot of options in the appearance and format of our reports.

Nachteile:

It is sometimes confusing because, when I change some titles, they do not always seem to work the way I expected.

Vorteile:

Flexible licensing. MS SQL back end database for corporate compatibility. Flexible configuration of user screens. Good reporting. Awesome customer support.

Nachteile:

Importing of existing data could be easier.

i most like the ability to modify the software and use sql to make it do what we want. tech support is great.

I wish there were more test point wizards so that we didn't have to use templates when creating new equipment

Indysoft

Vorteile:

It's very user friendly. Easy to use in some aspects.

Nachteile:

Pipette calibration can be hard to troubleshoot.

IndySoft is a great company, with great customer support.

Kommentare: Reliable tracking of calibrated equipment. Which is exactly what we wanted.

Vorteile:

The software package we are using is very good for calibrations. We also use it to track our NIST Traceable equipment we send out for calibration.

Nachteile:

In the permissions section, there are almost too many configurable options. It takes a good effort and attention to detail to get the profiles configured like you want them, but the good part is, you only have to set them up once.
