Barcode and Lable designing

Vorteile:

It is easy to use in creating the barcodes and designing it. It reduces chances of repeating a commodity on different product. It saves time for products that are of same variety.

Nachteile:

It does not work without internet connection. It sometimes print barcode that may not match with a captured barcode.

Codesoft Review

Kommentare: Overall, the software works pretty well our applications.

Vorteile:

We are able to connect our label template to our ERP system in order to make labels dynamic which cuts down on the number of individual labels that need to be stored in our system.

Nachteile:

We get a Printer Failure error code sometimes which causes us to have to restart the software to continue printing. Also, the software will close itself while we are in the middle of printing or designing a label that causes changes to not be saved. Anything not saved will have to redone and then saved.

Buggy, does not work well operating from a cloud.

Codesoft easy to use

Kommentare: The overall experience is we codesoft because it came highly recommended

Vorteile:

We purchased the codesoft because of the ease of use and we can train any of our employees on how to creat and design product labels

Nachteile:

Having to upgrade the software every few years

Great Label Software that allows customization for every need.

Kommentare: The customer service department is great. They always help their customers. They respond quickly to questions or problems. I have had a good experience with Codesoft. Once you learn the program the possibilities are endless.

Vorteile:

Codesoft is very intuitive, it allows for customization to many needs, and it is compatible with various EDC databases.

Nachteile:

Label specs can be hard to find in Codesoft. However, if you know the dimensions you can create the label spec to fit your need.

Codesoft still working

Kommentare: Good experience. Some hassles with set- up, switching computers, but for the most part solid product. Support is not available for our version at this point, so it is very good that is is solid and reliable.

Vorteile:

One time purchase, lots of control editing barcode labels

Nachteile:

Internet requirement, Had to remake label files when we switched computers. Requires tech support to switch computers. Feel like barcodes are critical enough, if something happened to the licensed computer, it might be a major problem for me.

Codesoft Pros and Cons

Kommentare: For our business practices, Codesoft works very well. Overall, the ease of use (to me) and the plentiful features. It is a great addition to facilitate labels exactly as our customers need them.

Vorteile:

I like the overall functionality of Codesoft. It provides a clean interface as well as powerful design and formula generation.

Nachteile:

For someone that is inept to label design, there could be better training resources. PDF's and videos that go more in-depth are a must for data connections as well as formula use. I feel it is a bit lacking these resources.

Codesoft program used for manufacturing

Kommentare: My overall experience with Codesoft has been amazing.

Vorteile:

The Codesoft program is extremely easy to use. We create MH10 labels, shipping labels, bundle tickets for piece work for production.

Nachteile:

It was a little difficult to implement with our software company but the issues were not with Codesoft they were with the programmers on our side. Once they figured it out it was working right away.

Nachteile:

Since I have taken over Administration of Codesoft. There is nothing that is bothering me about the software.

Kommentare: Using 1 format for hundreds of products vs having to create and manage separate formats for each product is the best thing ever.

Vorteile:

Codesoft makes it so easy to create new formats and share them with production for use. What you see in the format is exactly what you get. Very easy to pull information out of ERP system into format fields at time of print so 1 format can be used for multiple products.

Nachteile:

I really dislike having to open a format and then save it as a draft and reopen it to be able to revise it, then have to save it as final to retain the changes.

Meets our needs.

Vorteile:

We are able to produce most of our label products using CODESOFT.

Nachteile:

When we have internet or network issues, the software does not work.

Vorteile:

Reliable, user friendly. No problems or issues.

Nachteile:

Learning to use it. Just wanted to jump in and start.

Great software to label our manufactured parts

Vorteile:

Codesoft is easy to use and also to customize. We use it every day to label all of our manufactured part boxes before shipping them out.

Nachteile:

The only con that I can think of is aligning the text boxes on the label format screen sometimes takes patience to get them lined up with other text boxes.

Kommentare: Support has always been there for me when I have had any issues.

Vorteile:

The ability to import serial numbers and device mac addresses is crucial. Being able to print and label our customized products is a feature we use every week.

Nachteile:

Have not been able to automate batch printing, so would like a wizard or easier steps to accomplish this.

Much easier to use, extensive database source functionality

Nachteile:

Sometimes errors when using Datasources are not descriptive enough

Relatively easy once you have the right set up and use the Data Source to import batch of labels

Nachteile:

Not easy to save the barcode unless you changed the format to PDF. If it has a function to save other than Label format, that will be very helpful.

Easy setup and deployment within our corporate structure.

Nachteile:

No Cons at this time. Works well with networked Zebra label printers.

Good product, need access to tutorials.

Once you figure it out, it works great. Support is fast and responsive.

Nachteile:

Seems a bit counter intuitive, but once you figure it out and understand the nomenclature its not so bad

It's easy to use and design your labels.

Nachteile:

At the moment, we only use CODESOFT to print RFID tags and a barcode that goes with it. We have not used this extensively or implemented it in our customer applications. So far easy to use.
