Great support staff

Kommentare: I highly recommend this software, it has been much better and easier than a previous software we used. The staff at Logos is like calling a friend, we never feel like a 'number' with them. I'm very happy to be a member of the Logos family.

Vorteile:

I have been very pleased with the responsiveness and willingness to help by the Logos support staff. This is truly a Christian Company that cares about churches. Not only is the technology much better than our old provider, it is easier to use, and the training dept at Logos is lights out. Our parents love the Logos360 Safe social networking product, our kids are off Facebook and in the safe environment that we control, and our youth pastor can monitor. The Accounting program is so much better than Quick books, I am embarrassed we didn't move over sooner. They also saved us some money over our previous vendor...a great experience it has been. The Ministry Connection program has allowed us to receive on line tithes, and we have seen an increase in giving.

Nachteile:

None that i've seen so far.

Can't function without it

Kommentare: I love it - couldn't operate a day without Logos.

Vorteile:

Logos software is the back bone of everything I do - labels, Sunday School rosters, birthday cards, contribution statements. It has helped us to stay current and consistent with our membership and visitor data. I love that I can look up a family and now have their picture right in front of me, can click to get directions to their home, or send an email. Like any software, it takes a little while to learn to "Think" like Logos. Logos has been well worth the expense and time we have put into it. The support team has always been helpful and friendly. However, for the last few years, I rarely have to call them!

Nachteile:

Because so many of the staff members at our church now use laptops (and even one Mac user), we can not network the laptops to Logos without purchasing the hosting solution which is out of our budget at this time. I wish our entire staff had access to our Logos files! Also, I am waiting for even more flexibility in running reports. I'm sure they'll come up with it soon! Very little in this world is perfect.

Outdated, we now have a new software that is much easier to use, I do miss a few things about LOGOS

Precious Logos user

Kommentare: We used Logos for years -- it worked well
i used it each week to record donations

Vorteile:

I really liked that I could go into a constituents record and enter all giving information at one time- without having to retype the donor's name for give a donation for each fund

Nachteile:

really made me work to get simple reports --

The best church management software I've seen, but not extremely user friendly

Vorteile:

It has a ton of different functionalities that are pretty easy to cross-integrate between the different departments.

Nachteile:

There are a lot of features that are very unintuitive and hard to figure out how to use unless you spend time going through all sorts of trainings and tutorials. It's not great for volunteers who don't have time (or a strong memory) to go through everything.

Software is obsolete and poorly supported

Kommentare: While the concept was great, the execution was poor. It was especially great that fund management was integrated in the software, where most softwares do not bundle fund management with member records.

Vorteile:

This software gave us a way to begin online giving. It solved that issue for us and kept membership records digitally.

Nachteile:

The software did not improve over time, and the platform was not user-friendly. Support was not available when we needed it and it ultimately quit being supported by the developers.

Kommentare: Our church has been using LOGOS software for over 14 years. We were recommended to LOGOS by another church at the time and after researching several church management / church accounting software LOGOS came out on top for us from a technical and practical point of view.
1) They understand the local church and are totally dedicated to helping the church in this arena.
2) It is designed for a small church or large church and has everything you will need.
3) The customer service has always been there for us as a church, this where that understanding of the local church environment is important because every church is different.
4) We like the ability to customize the software at different levels to fit our church environment.
5) Very good ROI value, the software will grow with organization and for the most part will not need to look for another.
This is just to name a few. If you're a church just starting, small, or large then you should consider giving LOGOS a serious try. Stay In Him! Pastor K. Rhodes
His Church

Logos is a good product

Kommentare: I'm not sure if you were looking for a review of Logos or not. I'm not familiar with Capterra. I use Logos only.

Vorteile:

Logos is a thorough software product that meets the needs of our church's records. Logos staff are available to help and answer questions.

Nachteile:

I'd like for more training sessions to be available in the package we purchased. As an added incentive for continued customers, after using Logos for one year, give two free training classes. After two years, add one inexpensive module the user does not have. After three years, give something else, and so on every year. After 10 years, stop charging the monthly fee and call them a lifetime member. Logos will have earned over $9700 after 10 years x $81 monthly fee. That seems like a pretty good exchange.

Kommentare: Pros: ...uhh Cons: Incredibly slow. Finding the perfect set of criteria to create a report is extraordinarily difficult. The slightest tweak (that seems logical) will give you 0 results, or literally every person in your database. When you have problems with it, it takes days for the support staff to return your phone call and when they eventually do, they tell you to "watch all of the video tutorials" before calling back. Their video tutorials are 10-20 minutes and are virtually guaranteed to make you fall asleep. Inputting attendance takes all day because you are going to run into problems along the way. There is no easy way to add people to the system in the middle of the job. If you try to certify an address that the program doesn't like, it freezes and you have to close it out for half an hour before you can go back to it.

Easy to Use

Kommentare: Our church has used this product since 2003 and have had very little issue with the programs. We utilize 3 components: Scheduler, Logos II, and Accounting. The programs can interconnect however, we do not use this feature. Can create user friendly reports based on what your church needs are. Again very user friendly.

Very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Unfortunately, the support is ending on this software and they are moving to a new improved system that is cloud based but will cost us more to maintain.

Excellent Parishioner Database

Kommentare: Our church switched to another database, what a disaster, not user friendly and was very complicated to understand. We went back to LOGOS! LOGOS is an excellent database that will grow with your church and serve it well.

Vorteile:

I rarely need to call support for Logos. It is very easy to understand and "pull" information for end of year reports. The database is consistent and as extensive as you need it to be. You do not need to be a computer programer to use this database. I love it for the contributions and giving statements. An audit friendly system.

Nachteile:

Customer Support is expensive to maintain. But 1.) I have not needed support often 2.) the minimum support entitles you to updates.

One of the better ones

It's extremely functional, I enjoyed using it, compared to other products that are just frustrating. I would recommend this product to those who are searching for software of this type

Nachteile:

It doesn't do everything I wanted in church management software. While it is functional, it isn't the best quality.

Terrible!

Kommentare: This software is so archaic and difficult to use that I feel like I've stepped back to 1998. Reports are impossible, support is slow and questionable, and cost is unbelievable for what appears to be a poached version of another piece of old software. Multiple problems just logging in to the system, days spent waiting for returned calls when we have problems (fairly often), and management refuses to return calls to hear complaints. We have used it for 7 months and I regret every moment spent trying to figure it out. I'm currently searching for a replacement and seriously considering building my own spreadsheet to get by in the meantime. Don't do it.

Logos Review

Kommentare: It definitely keeps the church more organized.

Vorteile:

It keeps the day to day operations more organized and is a must for safety in children's ministry. The boundless options for searches and ease of use (once you get used to it) is top notch.

Nachteile:

Customer support is lacking. It takes days sometimes to hear back from the "24/7" customer support, this can be difficult when on a time crunch. There is also a bit of a learning curve for new users and a lack of appeal to certain ministries to implement it because of that,

Non-response by Management

Kommentare: If LOGOS desires our business I suggest they improve their telephone service and response to the customer.

Because I am frustrated with LOGOS' response I have no positive comments

Nachteile:

I have sent emails, called on the phone, discussed situation with Support Rep, and am very frustrated by not getting any response from Sales or Management. The telephone system yesterday (Nov 18) would not permit me to connect to sales or support. It appears that Sales and Management no longer exists.

Poorly Designed

Kommentare: We attempted to use this software for 6 months and ultimately gave up. It was not at all intuitive, and some of the most basic functions required hours of training just to figure out how to do simple tasks. I attended an hour-long training course to learn how to make labels, and ultimately determined it would be easier to export the information to Excel and deal with it that way. Even our most tech-savvy people couldn't figure it out. We are now using Roll Call and are so much happier!

Excellent Church Management Software

Kommentare: Our church has used the Logos II software/product for seven years. The software and programs have exceeded our expectations and have kept up with the demand of our growing church. I recommend this product to churches who are looking to maintain accurate records (either membership or financial) while continuing to stay ahead of the technology curve.

Good product

Kommentare: We have used LOGOS Accounting for many years. Has all the necessities only wish it was more user-friendly.

Vorteile:

Has all the basic accounting needs. Great customer service.

Not very user-friendly. Can be difficult to navigate.

Vorteile:

Our church has used the Logos II software/product for a few days. The software has made sermon preparation a lot easier

Nachteile:

Can be a little overwhelming at first, but overall is a great program. I can't wait to get more familiar with the process.
