We utilize Fellowship One as our main database for records.

5,0 vor 6 Jahren

Vorteile:

I love the functionality of the system. I like that it is web based so you don't need a server or special app on your computer to use. Anywhere you have internet you can use it! If you utilize it to its potential there is a ton of data you can store but most importantly you can run reports to pull that data. The report function is amazing, you can pull exactly what you are looking for exactly the way you want it.

Nachteile:

I wish there was an activity log to track who makes what changes. We have a large number of users and its sometimes hard to know what information has been altered and if it should have been altered by that person. I know you can give permissions to users but having the log would add a great tool for administrators to use.

Easy to Use - Great features

4,0 vor 4 Jahren

Kommentare: Overall - this has been a great church management software. Data is easy to enter and profile information is easy to view at a glance. There is a bit of a learning curve with reporting, but that is to be expected with any software that is new to you.

Vorteile:

Customer service is great - you can speak to a real human being and problems are solved quickly. The custom attributes are a helpful feature and the ability to create your own shareable people lists is also a very good. Web forms are easy to create; Insights feature is a major plus.

Nachteile:

The major drawback is that mass texting is not included in the Premier version. Also, assimilation process is lacking some functionality. iOS check has some challenges.

Robust functionality but older processing and interface.

3,0 vor 6 Jahren

Kommentare: I would like to say that even though I gave this product 3 stars in every field, I give it the neutral review because it has so much potential to be better. I think right now F1 is in a place of a possible explosion of great things? But it's going to take a revamping of old processes and implementing new ones. The biggest benefits is that it's a database which helps us to manage our needs as a congregation and keep account of how we value our team members who serve.

Vorteile:

What I like most about F1 is the SQL database interactions and the ability to pull information on any person in our congregation by the fields on their account. This is hugely helpful when pulling statistics of who attended events, paid their tithes, who has pastoral notes, and so much more. I think the other thing that I enjoy most is that this is truly a one stop shop in regards to what's needed for ministries. You can do anything from background checks to childcare for events based on the manageable forms. You can create contacts for specific staff or titles within your organization to receive information on congregants based on options they choose from visitor cards.

Nachteile:

What I least like about this software is that even though it has so many features, it's almost too much to navigate when you first get into it all. Trying to train a new person on staff with the amount of information overload is a bit daunting. Granted not everybody will be doing the same functions within the program, but to be able to upkeep this database, you almost need a person solely devoted to making sure the data that's entered is correct. I would also say that the knowledge base needs a revamp with more clear information on what the actual functions of the database are, including an admin-like knowledge base with deeper understanding of how data transactions are made. Some things are just kind of ambiguous and unclear as to how the transfer of data happens.

Worst program ever!

1,0 vor 3 Jahren

Kommentare: We aren't solving any problems with F1. In fact, it's creating problems for those of us who have to work with the program. It was supposed to be wonderful, helping us grow our community of believers, keeping our ministers up to date with the membership, etc., etc., etc. It hasn't helped with anything. Nada. Fellowship One doesn't create fellowship, but it will, however, create stress levels that will have you searching for Xanax. Save yourself the trouble and the expense and get another program.

Vorteile:

The only positive I can say about this software is that I can look up addresses and phone numbers with relative ease. I could do this just as easily with a pictorial directory, and with a lot less headache.

Nachteile:

There's not enough space for me to list my complaints about F1! It is by far the hardest program I've ever had to work with, and after three plus years, I still don't know how to get a decent report. When we signed up for the program, we were told that most churches have a "dedicated" F1 person, but "anybody can learn", right?! Wrong!! Thankfully we have a retired member of the church who understands databases and we are constantly having to call him for help. No one in the office gets this program. And trying to get help from the support staff at F1 is a joke. We don't even speak the same language, although we're all speaking English. I hate calling support because it's so frustrating. Unless you have someone in your office who understands databases, then don't waste your time and money. And never ask your secretary to take on this program. She or he already has enough on their plate.

Fellowship One is Robust, but dated.

4,0 vor 5 Jahren

Kommentare: Overall, we tend to see a huge benefit to our ministries by using this software, but in the future, we'll be looking to something more updated if we don't see a progressional change for F1.

Vorteile:

The amount of functionality for F1 is incredible. We use it in so many ways for our different ministries, from small groups, attendance for services/serving, to tithing/finances and sending mass emails to specific groups of people, it covers a ton of bases. I like that this is a discipleship based software tool. We have to put our hands on almost every part of an account to make sure that we're intentional with the data we record. The security when fully implemented for check-in systems on Sunday services is impeccable. We have really made an effort to improve our security within the past few years and you can dig deep by using jobs that are connected to specific check-in activities and only people with specific assignments can check-in. It's very dialed in.

Nachteile:

The software, while being functionality-wise amazing and broad? It lacks an updated style for the UI, while also using some outdated ways to process what you need. While requiring a hands-on approach to discipleship by having to change every little detail on an account, this can be so tedious and cumbersome to other tasks you might have. The learning curve is also a bit hefty, for users who don't understand systems or pick up understanding quickly? It can be very confusing at first.

Unsatisfied

3,0 vor 5 Jahren

Kommentare: The online event registration and giving management were the most successful aspects of the software for our organization. There were other versions that came available besides what we were using, but due mainly to the extra cost and we remained in that version. Since our experience with support was not stellar we felt it would be better to switch companies that to change products within the Fellowship One offerings.

Vorteile:

Online giving worked well and there are lots of built-in reports.

Nachteile:

We found that the support was inadequate for our needs, with slower than desired response times. We are no longer F1 customers mainly for that reason. We also wanted more flexibility to add on to the functionality and found that the competition was ahead of F1.

Fellowship One keeps track of people and processes

4,0 vor 5 Jahren

Vorteile:

It helps me keep track of people and processes in my church attendees and volunteers. We use it to track finances as well. You can set up workflows that will help you automate certain functions and that's a huge help.

Nachteile:

It's definitely not the easiest software to use. You have to really dig into it to learn it and be committed to it, because if you're not, the team will try to find workarounds so they don't have to use it.

This may have a place still for smaller churches, but it's not for us anymore

3,0 vor 5 Jahren

Vorteile:

We used it for 15+ years. It did it's job fairly well and we saw some development over that time-frame, but not much.

Nachteile:

Stale. It looks like it was made in the 90s still. Not mobile friendly. Expensive. Support literally had tickets for us over a year old go unresolved. Multiple giving errors led us to finally leave for a 3rd party giving provider and an open-source CMS for user management. Couldn't be happier with that choice.

As a user this software was difficult to use

2,0 vor 6 Jahren

Kommentare: My church used this software to manage members, events and groups. As a group leader I was tasked with using it to track group attendance and report issues to church leadership. I personally didn't like it even in my limited use because the interface was not clear and it was tough to use. Adding members to the group was very confusing, the software just isn't designed very well in that regard. One constant I heard from pastors and staff at the church was how much they disliked this software. We recently just switched off to a new software that is much easier to use. Personally I am glad as I was not a fan of this platform.

Vorteile:

- Tracks group attendance really well. - Once you got into the place you needed to be getting data entered into the system was fairly easy. - Allowed leaders to make edits to meeting attendance fairly easily.

Nachteile:

- User interface is not friendly, the system was honestly difficult to find your way around. - Even church staff could not fix simple issues like user information being in the system incorrectly; there was only one staff member that really knew how to fix a mix up where our account had incorrect information in it. The system would not let us correct the error ourselves as it was limited to an admin. - Did not take imports from other systems well so data had to constantly be manually entered by staff which created loads of extra work for them. - Adding members to your group was a pain as they had to be added to Fellowship One, sent a request and then you could add them. If I had a guy just visiting the group there was no way for me to put his attendance in without having to officially add him to the group which was not great for tracking purposes as a leader.

Time to move on from outdated bloatware

2,0 vor 7 Jahren

Kommentare: Consolidated our data across several databases etc.
Gave us a system to keep our data

Vorteile:

Did what we needed it to do Friendly Support People (albeit not helpful) We were able to implement the check in succesfully

Nachteile:

Extremely confusing Not user friendly in any way Support help is costly and doesn't teach you how to do anything Implementation was costly and left us all scratching our heads. Way too many features for specific churches that the rest of the organizations don't use New features are very slow. We waited years for things to work on our Macs and finally moved on. Finally we are moving on from this product. We've never been happy with it, but once we moved all in, we were stuck for at least 3 years. We started transitioning a couple years ago to a competitor of theirs and are very happy with the results.

Dated & Complicated

3,0 vor 4 Jahren

Kommentare: As someone who participated in every demo presentation and helped customize F1 to our needs, I understood and could easily use/manage F1. However, a main reason we wanted to implement this software was to get team leaders and members connected to it as well, which is where the difficulty came in. Unless you're a very frequent user, F1 is difficult to navigate and therefore did not help us accomplish our goal of having many people interacting with it.

Vorteile:

When working with larger quantities of groups or peoples, you were able to apply a mass action which saved a lot of time. The authorization settings were customizable from person to person which was helpful for our pastors, leaders and staff.

Nachteile:

The amount of functionalities the system had sometimes felt like too many and yet it was still difficult finding what you need. The language throughout the software isn't easily understandable unless you were in the setup demos.

F1 at The Village Church in Texas

4,0 vor 13 Jahren

Kommentare: As things stand right now with what is available today, if your church is looking for a very good, if not great, Church Management System Fellowship One is the system you want. The old adage, "You get what you pay for" applies with a SaaS product you are no longer supporting a server and software yourself or trying to develop something on your own. Having said that the company's "development to production agility" needs improvement as there are still things that need to be done on the congregation facing side of this system that hopefully will be taken care of in the very near future and make F1 one of the most complete systems available.

Vorteile:

Excellent implementation team! F1 software has delivered what they said it could deliver in response to our RFP. Support is responsive. Communication has been good. We have the benefit of many Active Network/Fellowship Tech employees attending and in membership at The Village. No server or site to manage is great (obviously that is a big part of what we pay for) Functionality is really good. Access to the data via API is great and getting better with every new API realm.

Nachteile:

Implementation Team could have been more assertive with some suggestions and less with others. Though F1 has delivered it has not delivered at the level we had hoped for, specifically public facing via weblink where the UX has left a lot to be desired. The back-end functionality is great but the interface needs a makeover now. Support though responsive has been dismissive with some of our requests and we have experienced some delays on what we consider a pretty serious request.

Not as intuitive as expected

3,0 vor 4 Jahren

Kommentare: Using the search function could be somewhat difficult (or not intuitive). This basic function needs to be rethought and optimized. As this software helps to manage and communicate with church members, it would be very nice to have the texting feature as a part of the basic F1 package.

Vorteile:

The interface is simple but it looks ok and the information displayed after you log in is helpful since it provides a snapshot of what's going on in your congregation.

Nachteile:

I believe the F1 announcement feature (main screen) should be eliminated. Any F1 announcements or any other communications that are not strictly related to the customer's business should take place outside of this software (i.e. by mail, text, etc.).

Helpful database

Vorteile:

After exploring other databases, I appreciate the user friendliness of Fellowship One. The user face was easy to read and navigate.

Nachteile:

Fellowship One served us well for many years, but were not able to take us to the level we needed out of our database. Over the last two years, several large issues came up that never seemed to be resolved by management and caused us to move to another database.

Not What We Thought It Would Be When They Sold it to Us

3,0 vor 5 Jahren

Kommentare: While it seems to have a lot of potential and it sounded great when they sold us our subscription, using the system has been frustrating and difficult on many levels. Helpful and kind customer service is available, but too much of it is required to make it effective.

Vorteile:

It is fairly easy to add people (members/profiles) into the system, which is the driving force of the program.

Nachteile:

It's a clunky, hard to understand system once you get past the initial member profile input. The reports are a BEAST to format and run, and sometimes they seem impossible.

F1 is an outdated tool that gets in the way of discipleship.

2,0 vor 7 Jahren

Kommentare: It keeps track of info for us.

Vorteile:

It's better than nothing. I appreciate being able to see a person or household quickly but find that the at-a-glance value is very low.

Stay Away

1,0 vor 6 Jahren

Kommentare: We don’t even know where to start to describe our massive disappointment with this product. From poor customer service, useless training, horrific report system, sales person persuaded to upgrade to iOS hardware, when their app is still being developed.... there’s not one Sunday that our check in line works smoothly. Their solution? No solution.
We regret we did not read these comments before signing that agreement. We are writing in here in hopes to prevent some one else make the same mistake.

Nachteile:

- Reports: unfriendly, useless fields - Service: no follow up, there’s never a solution, just apologizes.... - check in app: forced to use Bluetooth, still on testing mode... we have 10 devices we invested that simply do not work. - database: unfriendly to use - forms: very basic, unfriendly to use - Add On: literally most that you get included into any other software, in FO it’s an add on, which they only tell you afterwards.... Had to pay for ONE user to train on how to enhance reporting options. - Giving Platform: unfriendly, no comment line

One of the more comprehensive Church Management Systems but innovation has slowed since acquisition

3,0 vor 6 Jahren

Kommentare: Handles our church membership, small groups, event registration and giving needs

Vorteile:

Improved their stability with Data Center upgrade. Mobile app development. Handles financial giving and event registrations. Manages small groups. Modular based.

Nachteile:

Too many layers with multiple screens when adding new families. Label printing options too limited. Needs better customization of input screens, reporting and troubleshooting steps (printing). Would be great if you could send Factory Reset codes directly from the app based on the printer you're using. Would be great to make this client-less and webrtc.

Great To Keep Track of Attendees for Churches

4,0 vor 5 Jahren

Kommentare: Love the idea behind it, and you can get as organized (or disorganized) as you choose to. This has been a helpful tool with our email newsletters that we can customize for people who need to know certain information in our church.

Vorteile:

I really like the database feature where you can basically customize and organize people into groups so it is easier to contact and connect with them in a way that relates to them personally.

Nachteile:

Sometimes figuring out how to find a certain grouping of people or a "People Query" can be difficult if not everyone using the database has the same way of inputting information.

F1 from a Finance Manager point of view

4,5 vor 9 Jahren

Vorteile:

I can get reports that give me what I need to know and can manipulate those for just the information I need. I also really like the giving module - with the batch scanner - really fast, intuitive, and easy to administer. We aren't there yet, but when we are it will be easy to segregate check scanning from posting. I can also say that each time they make upgrades to the program, I am impressed with the improvements. It seems like F1 "gets it".

Nachteile:

It is difficult to figure out how to enter a ticket to receive support. I wish they would streamline this process.

Mixed feelings

2,0 vor 9 Jahren

Kommentare: Fellowship One is built for large scale churches with multiple campuses. We are a smaller church with about 500 regular attenders a week and about 1500 total people in our system. There are so many options that we do not need. Also, it frequently stops working altogether, giving you an error code. This code would be useful if you could talk to someone in a timely manner, but you can't. Customer service is perhaps the worst I have ever encountered with any company. The system itself is not very user friendly, a person has to watch videos and train for hours just to know how to use it. Can't recommend
