Kommentare: I have been using ProCare since 2009 and have no major complaints. Any time I had an issue the tech support was able to assist and solve anything I needed.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use and makes the day-to-day operations manageable.

Nachteile:

Some issues with the fingerprint scanner and updates but usually resolved with a quick re-start.

Kommentare: Procare has been an amazing addition to our preschool! We are always learning new ways to use it. Our staff is very happy with Procare and the ability to communicate with their families. They use Procare for weekly newsletters, parent reminders, and photo posting and they LOVE how easy it is to use! Overall we have been very happy with Procare and intend to continue using it!

Vorteile:

Procare is user-friendly, appeals to both staff members and parents alike. Procare gives us one place to post important information for parents and staff to view in a timely fashion. We love having the ability to communicate quickly with our parents. Sharing photos of our students with their families is another great perk! Parents love knowing what their kiddos are up to and seeing their children happily playing and learning at school in "real time" is a great tool to have. We love being able to keep notes on Procare re: attendance, incident/injury reports, and other important communications with parents.

Nachteile:

Sometimes Procare goes down and we are unable to access the app. On occasion, the app and online version will work for us, but very slowly. This is especially difficult when parents are trying to sign their children in for the day during the busy morning rush. That said, the Procare Help Desk is always ready to assist with any issues we run into. We have also run into a few problems with the newsletter publishing through Procare. We love using the newsletter function but sometimes they don't email out properly or there is a layout issue. Usually when we call the Help Desk, they are already aware of the issue and troubleshooting to fix it.

Kommentare: The customer service has been an 7/10, most questions get solutions. Invoicing is great, the app and “lead “ registration need some tweaking.

Their invoicing platform , is my favorite part once you learn the steps its pretty flawless.

The messaging, doesn't show when a parent or staff member has read a message so that can be confusing and frustrating.

Kommentare: I have used Procare for 27 years and went through the major upgrade and the new Procare Solutions. They just keep getting better.

Vorteile:

I like the fact that the program is easy to use and has more complicated functions when needed. I was able to get rid of QuickBooks and do all my center management for students, accounts, and staff with payroll all from one program that I can also access from anywhere! I love their customer service. They are trained and can really help.

Nachteile:

Are too many choices a problem? So many reports that it takes time to figure out what report you want. Once you figure out the report that works the best you are set. With data reports you can configure your own reports as well.

Glad I found this company!

Kommentare: Procare has been great. Setup was easy, we had great support and guidance. The Extended Day Team is more organized now, our parents get invoices and information on their children more quickly. And for the price point it was well worth it especially since Procare is for these programs unlike the other system we used which had to be shoe horned to fit our needs.

Vorteile:

I like the fact that this has cut way down on unnecessary paperwork and additional spreadsheets just to figure out how our Extended Day and Summer Camp Programs were doing. I also like how this has gotten about 99% of our families to pay online instead of with cash or check.

Nachteile:

Navigating the reports to get all the information I need for the accounting department is a little cumbersome but I'm figuring it out.

Kommentare: Overall we are pretty happy with Procare. We really appreciate the ease of getting customer support through chat. Procare support is almost always able to help me without me having to make a phone call and being put on hold.

Vorteile:

I like the ability to process tuition and keep track of payments.

Nachteile:

I don't like the way that Daily Activities are setup. I wish the app had more of a social media feel where parents could view the activity and comment or 'like' what they are viewing. A previous app we used had the activities displayed this way and we found that this better supported teacher/family engagement.

Kommentare: I have used Procare for about 6 years. I like it better than other platforms I tried. Also, unfortunately, we have purchased several new tablets and the app stopped working on them. We also called the help desk and they were not able to help us.

Vorteile:

Once you set it up, it is easy to use. We are able to keep employee classes, timecards, student vaccinations, etc. all in one place! We also use the app so we really like the ability to communicate with our parents.

Nachteile:

The credit cards fees and the monthly fee can be high.

Procare is a one stop shop! They do everything we need and are always adding new features. The backend reporting side of Desktop is a game changer for administrators and the app has been crucial for maintaining consistent, quality communication between staff and families.

Nachteile:

Nothing- we switched to another system for a year and as soon as our contract was up with the other guys, we ran back.

Kommentare: I have used Procare for over 20years as an owner of a large child care center and I loved it. Decided to use it for my family child care business. Procare customer service has been prompt. They are able to handle the questions in a timely manner and provide solutions when needed. The interface is easy to use for managing our business and for the parents to see how their little ones day is going. I am genuinely happy with Procare.

Procare offers a easy interface to manage any child care program. The automatic invoices and parent portal make billing and accepting payments convenient.

Nachteile:

The cost for the software is pricey for an at home child care facility.

Happy Procare User

Kommentare: Overall, I am very pleased and satisfied with the Procare Software. Since having the system, not only have my team and I been able to save a lot of time that was usually spent on manual entry, but we were also able to offer a convenient feature to the parents. Parents no longer have to wait to get to the front desk or call over the phone to make payments. Payments can be made via the online portal and immediately post to the account. They can also view statements and receive their monthly invoices via e-mail every month. I do wish that there was an easy way to transport information from one product to the next but I do understand the difficulty. That initial task of setting up 200+ families was tedious but once that was done I can definitely say it was worth the task! I am happy we made the switch.

Vorteile:

What I like most about the Procare software is the ease of use in regards to monthly billing. The option to set up contract billing every month is much easier and less time consuming than having to manually enter invoices as we once did. This features allows my staff and I to save time as well as ensure better accuracy as far as billing goes. Also, now we are allowed to have our customers pay via the online portal Procare offers as opposed to having to pay in person. This is a feature we didn't have prior to gaining the Procare software. Not only do we appreciate this convenience factor, but the customers we provide service for as well.

Nachteile:

Although not a big deal- the thing I initially liked least about the Procare software was the difficulty in figuring out how to navigate through certain reports. Because there are so many options it was a bit intimidating to find out how to access the various reports offered. However, I can say that the information provided by the websites customer service and videos were helpful. I do wish that there was an easy way to transport information from one product to the next but I do understand the difficulty in allowing that option.

Everything I need, anywhere I need it.

Kommentare: Kinderlime has been with me since day one, from the moment I was licensed. Everything was in one place no need to have rosters and billing spreadsheets and have to enter formulas and hassle with paper sign-in sheets. It is always one of the first things I introduce parents to when they tour our home. I can't say enough great things about it. After the parents start using it they tell the family and friends about it and how they can see what the kiddo is doing, eating, learning, they truly love it. I get to share the milestones and happy faces from the daily activities in a way that it makes the time they spend on the phone all about their little one. Invoice Billing is one of the top things I love keeps me super organized.

Vorteile:

I can access Kinderlime from my desktop, cellphone tablet. and so can my parents. It is super easy to use. It is designed to be paperless and it allows me to run my Home Daycare with ease, even when I am not in the office.

Nachteile:

There is not much more I can ask of the features and functions of Kinderlime. I do participate in the Child Nutrition Program and I have to go to different software to enter my meals and attendance, it would be nice to integrate Kinderlime with the programs like KidKare.

Great Program worth the price

Kommentare: When I first took over in the childcare office I was under the impression that Sandbox would not fulfill what we were looking for in a software program, but after doing more research on my own I discovered that Sandbox was able to do everything that other programs do. I've enjoyed working with the Sandbox program and their customer service.

Vorteile:

This software has the same functions as many of the more expensive software. Without have any formal training on it I was able to figure it out pretty easily and being able to call, email or chat with customer support has been a huge help. Everything that we were looking for in a software program Sandbox has with being a fraction of the price of others. Sandbox is simple and clean looking and is working on updating to keep up to date resources available to parents and teachers.

Nachteile:

Some of the features that it has such as with child daily logs is not as concise as I would prefer it to be as an administrator, but over all it is simple to use and easy for parents to navigate.

Kommentare: I was responsible for learning and implementing the software so I started from the beginning to learn all that Sandbox could do to improve our department. I was the point person so I needed to know it from A to Z. First, the customer service representatives at Sandbox are A+; always available to answer questions and help with the set up. The system basically gave us the ability to go paperless. The system gave parents/guardians a portal for all of their needs from electronic registration to monthly payments.

We received 100% positive feedback from our families with the implementation of Sandbox. We went from entering monthly payments by hand to 98% of families using the electronic payment system through the parent portal. This gave a real-time payment tracker that allowed us to respond immediately for any late payments. This also gave us the ability to send end of the year tax statements electronically; no more bulk mailings so it saved money. We installed electronic sign-in/out for a secure and accurate attendance system. The accurate attendance also allocated accurate records for subsidy tracking; again saving money. The family account section gave the freedom to upload documents, keep track of physicals and due dates, write notes, communicate with the family securely. Sandbox has many important features that will help any child care center through the registration process, bookkeeping, communication, documentation, reports. I use many of the Sandbox installed reports each month from payment summaries to attendance reports. There are many reports available. There is also a section that we use for staffing that helps keep track of profiles, documents, due dates, etc. This gives us one location and accurate records that we use for Keystone STARS. I would highly recommend Sandbox for all child care providers.

Nachteile:

The only negative issue I have with Sandbox is that I need to have specific wording for payment receipts that parents need to submit to their employer for dependent care reimbursement. I need to insert the specific wording manually which is tedious and takes too much time to do each month.

Level Up with Procare!

Kommentare: Our company has been in business for more than 13 years; I have only been with this company for two years now. I introduced them to Procare for billing and at the time they were using Quickbook software. We did the switch and billing has been amazing. I love to explore every features that Procare has to offer, still learning some features but overall I think I master Procare :)

The product is easy to use, I love that it has everything we need for our program from reports to billing. Customer service is always available and ready to assist remotely.

Nachteile:

I think the app version is kind of difficult When you have those read clouds you can't really do much to correct them.

Kommentare: I have had a great experience, the help/customer service is always prompt and helpful, and I am very content with what I have been able to do with procare desktop and the functionality I have found with procare connect

I like being able to set up my own criteria to track incoming/enrolled students - what paperwork they're missing, guardianship concerns, etc. I LOVE the way that physicals and immunizations are tracked, it makes my job way easier.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a little more customization. I would like to be able to permanently set up to see 2 payers for accounts with 2 payers and only 1 for accounts with only 1. I would like to be able to set which days certain pick-up people are allowed to pick up. I would like for User Defined Fields to show up on account pages where Account Tracking shows up. I would like to be able to schedule a child to move into a different classroom on a certain date the way I can schedule for a child to be on break or to be enrolled on a certain day.There are many features I wish for.

ProCare Review for Child Care

Kommentare: Overall, it has helped with time sheets and is a consistent database for basic information about children that we share administratively. We have not liked the Food Program component and have chosen not to use the Tuition Express, since all of our Accounts Receivable is in QuikBooks, which works well for us. This also means double work, when we thought it would reduce our workload. The immunization information is fabulous, as we need to do annual reports for the State and this can be done with the click of a button.

Vorteile:

We like the Time Card reports and the Immunization Reports work pretty well.

Nachteile:

It is really clunky to use. For example, if we want to change a time in/out, we have to do three different strokes: the hours, the minutes or a.m./p.m. This is time consuming. We purchased the Food Program component, but because it doesn't separate children in different classrooms, we don't use it. ProCare is not compatible with Teaching Strategies Gold, which is our curriculum and assessment system, so that we have to enter demographics twice. There is no place for demographics, which we need several times a year for multiple funding sources. Everything takes too many steps. Unless we input a child's schedule, that child will not show up as being enrolled. If you put in a withdrawal date before the effective date, the parents cannot sign the child in or out: the child disappears instead of waiting for the effective date.

Lori - We're glad to hear you like the time card and immunization reports. As to the Food Program component (known as Meal Tracker) you may record meal counts and sort/filter by classroom. Regarding Teaching Strategies Gold, the ability to record state standards is part of our KidReports app and currently available for 22 states (although not yet for Maine). As for demographics and enrollment dates, there are various ways this information may be tracked. We'll have someone from our team reach out to talk through the best approach for your situation.

Kommentare: I really like that parents are able to log into myprocare.com and view their account balance, payment history, and make a payment without my assistance. It saves me time and energy and gets us the tuition payments quickly. Overall, I have had a very positive experience. Tech support is stellar!!

Vorteile:

It is easy to use. When I have a question or an issue, customer support is very responsive and helpful both via the phone or online chat. I really like the online wait list module that allows prospective families to contact us. It allows the prospective family to enter their information and it is automatically integrated into the client database with a few easy steps, no re-entry necessary. I also really like the myprocare parent portal which allows parents to log into their account ledger, view and print statements, make payments and more. The payments made their are automatically posted to their ledger card and deposited into our account. It is slick and easy and saves me time! I also really like that I am the one that processes the ACH payments each month. This makes my relationship with my parents much easier versus our old system where a 3rd party processed them making error resolution sometimes a nightmare. This system gives me the flexibility to change the amount to reflect more accurately the amount owed as well as stopping payments easily when a family unenrolls from the program..

Nachteile:

Creating certain reports, like a waiting list by age, can be tricky and took me some time to get set up. In a previous iteration of this software, pre V10, there was a labeled report already created that you just set date parameters of "waiting list" enrollment and voila, a waiting list was created for you. I also wish you could add a stand alone field to the client profile that designates a funding source for each client. It would help for enrollment and budgeting purposes. The only other draw back is the cost of the financial transactions, but those are inline with the rest of the retail industry. Just hard on the non-profit budget to spend money on convenience for the parents.

Using Kinderlime with Our After-school Program for New Americans

Kommentare: Using Kinderlime in our after-school program has been beneficial in the following ways: - It's allowed us to ensure that our staff to participant ratios are always met
- It's allowed us to better know each and every one of our kids. We see over 120 children each week. The program allows us to more easily remember faces and names, siblings and parents!
- It's given us peace of mind knowing that student emergency information is right on hand if needed.
- It's given us one single platform to manage participant attendance and volunteer attendance.
- It's allowed us to use one platform to manage our particpantion in the CACFP program and complete our meal tracking in one, easy place.
- It's given us the ability to quickly pull student and program data for grant writing purposes and for logistics. For example, in seconds we ewre abel to get a list of student names and addresses for our new van driver, making pick up a breeze.

Vorteile:

What we like most about the program is that it allows us to connect more meaningfully with the parents of the New Americans children we serve in our programs, through the messaging features and newsletter features. It's provided our parents, who are often not invited to participate in their children's care or schooling, with an accessible way to stay engaged with their children and with our program.

Nachteile:

So many of our parents and children are English Language Learners, and are new technology users. It would benefit our program greatly if there were more opportunity to directly engage with parents and participants through the app. Specifically, allowing us to direct and mass message and text them consistently! This is because our parents are more apt to use a texting feature over an emailing or app feature. We've found this to be the truth with our grandparents as well. Our program provdes full transportation to participants, we pick up and drop off kids at home. Having the ability to text parents a notification when their child is on the bus, or about to be picked up, would be fantastic for our logistics, parent engagement and participant safety.

The ability to go paperless and store everything digitally has helped me streamline my tasks and reduce clutter. It's incredibly convenient, not to mention more environmentally friendly.One of the features I appreciate most about this system is its ability to track deadlines and overdue tasks. The software makes it easy to stay on top of all of my tasks, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks. Moreover, the system provides a variety of useful reports that allow me to gain insights into my performance and track my progress over time.Having all of these features consolidated into a single app has been a game-changer for me. I don't need to switch between multiple apps or platforms to get my work done. Everything I need is in one place, which saves me a lot of time and effort.Finally, I also use the Kid Reports app, which is an outstanding tool that helps me keep track of my students' progress. One issue I've encountered is that not all of the information I need moves over seamlessly from the desktop version to the app version. While the app is incredibly useful for working on-the-go, there are times when I need to access information that is only available on the desktop version.This can be frustrating, as it disrupts my workflow and requires me to switch between the two versions to access all of the information I need. It's particularly problematic when I need to work on a task that involves information from both versions, as it can be time-consuming and cumbersome to merge the data manually.Despite this issue, I've found that the app version is still an excellent tool for managing my work, especially when I'm not at my desk. The app is incredibly user-friendly and provides a lot of the same features as the desktop version. It's also incredibly convenient to be able to access my work from anywhere and not be tethered to my desk.

ProCare FTW

Kommentare: It's simplified down to the advanced features we require to run our business. The updates truly do honor the feedback that our users require and they follow quickly after challenges arise. ProCare uses the same between phone, iPads, and desktops and my teachers of all ages and abilities use it with confidence. This was the closest software to our every day technology that we operate with on a personal level. The development of this software is just beginning and we are very excited to think of how far it's going to go. Being in the executive leadership side of [sensitive content hidden] "Kelle" AI, it's so impressive to see the feedback and changes happening in such speed- faster than some other tech companies I've experienced in action.

Vorteile:

All of my teachers, admin, and parents are such advocates. It elevates our program to be more organized, established, and advanced. I love the team behind its development and how receptive they are to each of my users. I love the admin user interface and how deep it *can* go for our team, but how simple it stays until we are ready to unpack more and more functions. It's simple, clean, and really up to date with featuring what actual schools need to operate. Coming from someone who would rather float between 3-4 programs that I know will work than trust a new software to "have it all" I am proudly all-in with PCS. We are their biggest advocates at Reggio & Co.

Nachteile:

Our Reggio Emilia philosophy is a reflective practice for our educators and requires them to be in a constant state of observation and documentation. Historically they have been seen with journals, notebooks, and iPads to continuously track the status of the vine assessment standards that they have come to memorize. This collection of a teacher's observation of each (20 children) child's learning process is then produced to parents at the end of the year to showcase growth. Currently, PCS offers an ability to "assign" an "observation" to a child's name which parents can see. This feature isn't helpful as it's an isolated, random statement with no context. We would love the ability for teachers to documented observations of each child continuously throughout the year in draft form (essentially like "therapist notes" that are better left unseen until the trends and themes are identified) and able to be published at the end of the year. This would create HUGE relief for our teachers who are now giving themselves 2-3 weeks of trudging through hand written notes to evaluate each of their 20 students. By having these ratings non stop and in real time, teachers will have their collection handled organically and it truly will change the way we can show up in the Reggio Emilia Philosophy (because right now it's burning us out)

Thank you for your feedback and expressing your concerns over recording assessments from Procare. Just so you're aware, there is a way to record observation activities in the app with an assigned assessment that does not immediately share to parents. Instead, these observations are recorded and documented within the child's portfolio until you are ready to share the portfolio with a complete overview of child assessments with their parents. Your staff can also make notes and even include images with these observations that they can see and will be visible to parents only when they view the portfolio PDF generated by Procare. If there is another capability you're looking to request, please let us know by sharing with your Account Manager or our support team so we can better understand what you're looking for.

One stop shop

Vorteile:

As a director, I appreciate the ease of direct deposits and the fact that parents can easily put in their info. Before Procare we had a mess of constant cash and checks flowing in. This allowed for the process to be easy and clean as 9/10 parents chose the direct deposit option. I like the sign in screen and how simple it is to use. Our teachers post daily pictures of the children and activities they did for the day and I appreciate how easy it is to use and the parents as well as they love seeing the pictures.

Nachteile:

As a teacher a director I rely heavily on getting messages from parents and being able to message them. I have the Procare app on my phone and while it has previously worked great, the last few months I no longer was being notified I was getting messages from my parents. I would go into the app and see nothing and then go back in later and see that the message was from the previous day or many hours ago and usually it’s a message that I needed to see right away. The other teacher is experiencing the same issue and I’ve also heard the complaint from a parent. This has been a very frustrating issue.

Why choose Procare over other Childcare Management Software?

Kommentare: We have used Procare for over twenty years now, and love it! Have we looked into switching? Absolutely, because you always want to ensure that you are using the best product for your business. In researching other childcare management systems, there is no childcare management sytem out there that can do everything that Procare does. I have never had a negative experience with Procare either. I love the Tuition Express feature and I use Procare to process our payroll, which saves our company so much money from having to outsource this. We love Procare and wish them continued success as that helps our business' continued success!

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to use Procare and all of the capabilities of Procare.

Nachteile:

I wish that Procare could be used on an Apple product. We have to use Procare desktop due to the size of our school, but there is not an option to use Procare Desktop on an apple product. I wish that Procare Cloud could be used for our size of school. There are some features not on Procare Cloud that are on Desktop and vice versa. The app.procaresoftware.com interface could use a huge overtaking as well. We have to use this on our phones being as we cannot use Procare Cloud.
