Vorteile:

It is easy to use out of the box and can be set up quickly.

So far it has been great and we have limited issues.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 is one of the best web service for flexible cloud computing which supports the deploy of virtual machines so fast. Amazon EC2 download and upload speed is very fast along with secure and reliable in or out of network accessibility. In our office we use it as a VM for running different product on it.

Nachteile:

At first user can fell complex so learning to use Amazon EC2 can take some time but overall service is best.

Worst Support

Kommentare: worst, billings all ways contentious, support is retarded.

Vorteile:

Nothing interesting, just the same old slugged things and keep changing.

Nachteile:

Horrible services, bad support, keeping charging when their instances not working properly.

Amazon EC2: What Made Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service an Affordable Cloud Paradigm.

Kommentare: Great experience. Deploying various types of servers on EC2 virtual machines makes the realization of enterprise applications very simplified.

Vorteile:

I can't imagine not having Amazon EC2 for managing my development projects, server deployments, and research implementations. Amazon EC2 was the leader in IaaS since the cloud computing inception and it kept proliferating to support more and more cloud services from software services, to IoT, to machine learning, to databases, among many other. After initially setting the registration and authentication with a private/public key pair, creating and managing virtual machines is extremely simple with a streamlined web console. A mainly run my application and database servers on Linux VMs. Thanks to the free-tier in Amazon EC2 even my students can have the chance to inspect with cloud functionality and services using Amazon EC2. Very cost effective even with the paid tiers.

Nachteile:

Better support of secure data processing in the cloud could be an enhancement that Amazon can invest in. Homomorphic encryption techniques for secure processing of encrypted data is improving and Amazon can be leading the research efforts on this front. Moreover, hardware-based data privacy mechanisms such as those employing cryptographic coprocessors in the cloud can be also a track to invest in.

Amazon EC2: Simplified Server Deployment in the Cloud

Kommentare: Can't imagine configuring all these server deployments and publishing them online to be used by clients instantaneously without the cloud IaaS services provided by Amazon EC2.

Vorteile:

I implemented several server scripts on EC2 Virtual Machines of the M4 instance profile. Using SSH and remote desktop it feels like working on a local server. Dynamic IP management makes advertising cloud servers to the outside world a very simplified task. I tested applications servers (Apache, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Glassfish, etc) on top of the EC2 cloud as well as database servers such as MySQL and DB2. The system is as "elastic" as advertised with a true pay-as-you-go model. That was the main inception behind realizing an actual "utility-computing" based cloud system by Amazon.

Nachteile:

The security configuration consisting of generating the private/public keys are not that simply packaged for the beginner developer. But many improvement have been made on this front by Amazon.

Best AWS service for IaaS in cloud

Kommentare: With EC2 I have an overall good experience. It is very easy and simple to manage resources. It is also providing a high level of security.

Vorteile:

I like the way EC2 provide flexibility to choose different kind of instances based on the requirement. It also provide flexibility to configure it as well as take it down automatically based on need

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything which I don't like

Amazon EC2

Vorteile:

Easy to launch instances with multiple configuration to select as per the need. Highly secured and ready to use within few mins. Only charged for the duration used.

Nachteile:

Costs vary as per the region you select to launch EC2 instance. This variation is very huge sometimes

A great tool for cloud computing

Kommentare: EC2 has accelerate our journey towards cloud computing by enabling us to provision and tear down infrastructure as needed.

Vorteile:

pay as you go pricing, High I/O and GPU compute based instances, Elastic IP addresses, Pause and resume instances

Nachteile:

AWS being leaders in cloud computing, don't see much missing features but they can improve on better training materials for beginners of EC2 service.

The best scalable & bill friendly cloud service.

Vorteile:

The very first thing which is best is the Pay-as-you-go billing system for EC2 such that even if the instance is made dormant for sometime it will not charge for its existence. On top of it it provides smooth scalability and easy integration with other AWS services.

Nachteile:

For new beginners in AWS there is a slight learning curve for AWS services including EC2. That is for user when they first start using EC2 it might be tough for them to know its uses or applications.

Vorteile:

I have not seen any cons for now. It has been a great administration.

The easiest-to-use Cloud Computing Platform

Kommentare: I had to integrate my GCP with AWS EC2 of a partner company. I therefore tried the process by creating a server and testing out the VPN between both GCP and AWS before engaging the other business entity.

Vorteile:

The entire process was very simple, required a few steps. The documentation was straight to the point.

Nachteile:

I used the trial version but the price was a bit scary. There was no free credit as with GCP. The pros outweighed the cons

AWS cloud computing for Virtualization

Kommentare: Overall, EC2 is a best cloud computing for virtualization. It's user friendly UI so user can easily understand and manager console. Amazon is provided instance support via chat and phone for any issue. We can easily monitor our EC2 instance and set the email alert notification.

Vorteile:

- Easy to use and simple configuration- Amazon provide one year free tier for new user account- Good customer support- Easy to install any OS in EC2 - Provide role base permission to user- Easily manager scaling, load balance and auto scale- Easily share snapshot backup from one account to another account

Nachteile:

- Sometime not able to find an old version OS in new UI- charges for data transfer

AWS EC2 is probably not what you want.

Kommentare: Of my experience with many other providers like Oracle Cloud, Liquid Web, Azure, Linode, Digital Ocean, AWS is by far the most frustrating and one of the most expensive. I only use AWS when I have a client that demands it or is already locked into it. I never ever recommend it.

Vorteile:

AWS has good name recognition. If you're an IT Service provider, or if you own a company for which you want to get funding, name-dropping AWS could give you some additional credibility. AWS has every feature you could hope for in an IaaS system.

Nachteile:

AWS has every feature you could hope for in an IaaS system. I've very rarely seen any organization or application that needs anywhere close to what AWS offers. Most people use EC2, Lambda, Database services, Kubernetes services, and maybe Kafka. But most less expensive, and less complicated providers have all of these features too. As a user, you have to set up all of the underlying infrastructure like network groups, overly complicated (but not better) security configurations, etc. Most of the work setting up an environment on AWS is setting up things you don't really need. You'll receive bills from AWS and chances are, it will be considerably more than you estimated, and you'll have to spend considerable time finding where the cost is coming from, and changes are, you'll have a lot of trouble shutting down the unneeded items.

Best Cloud VM that can be used.

Kommentare: My overall experience is very good I would definitly recommend using EC2 to any user whether its a beginner or experienced person anyone can use it ease.

Vorteile:

I liked Elastice Load Balancer the most cause if there an issue with server the ELB takes care of Auto scaling the server.

Nachteile:

There is as such no thing that I least liked I genuinely like EC2 that why I use it myself and also in my company.

Review of Amazon EC2

Kommentare: Overall I think EC2 is a good product especially if cost is not as important. The ability to configure everything through the cloud plus the reliability of AWS is very hard to beat.

Vorteile:

We like how quick it is to setup and clone instances with EC2. When doing development it is fairly easy to spin up test instances for little cost. Speaking of cost, since EC2 has so many options/tiers it is quite simple to choose a plan/tier that minimizes our costs but maximizes our output. The security aspect of EC2 is also very intuitive requiring that we have keys to access any particular server. This is an upgrade compared to when we had everything locally.

Nachteile:

This is not built out of the box but we have had the situation come up where we wanted to start and stop an instance on a schedule. EC2 does not have a built in solution to handle both of these steps. Although I mentioned the flexibility of the configurations, the cost still is quite high especially coming from a local solution. However from our perspective it was worth it for the other features it provides.

I like how customizable its instances are and the variety that it has is also very great.

Nachteile:

The complexity which one encounters at first is a bit frustrating.

EC2 Instances for big data clusters

Kommentare: Overall experience using AWS EC2 is very good, we are able to create the cluster for the big data set-up, It's easy and fast to create instances on AWS.

Vorteile:

The best thing about EC2 Instance is - 1. It is easy to create by just clicks 2. Easy to access or integrate with Other AWS services like RDS 3. Easily we can change the RAM of the server as per the requirement

Nachteile:

What I disliked the most about AWS EC2 is the documentation part is little complex to understand for the new user

Computing on the cloud (just if you need more AWS products)

Kommentare: It's a powerful tool when used for a good use case , for example a couple years ago the only way to run a prometheus database on Amazon was via EC2 , and since it was deployed on my infrastructure I applied the same security groups and networking configurations that I had for other services.

Vorteile:

Once you have an infrastructure created on AWS creating instances on EC2 is easy , networking capabilities are very powerful and give you a lot of flexibility for different use cases. You also have a wide variety of options to choose from.

Nachteile:

It's too heavy for very simple use cases, for example if you want to deploy a wordpress server or a simple django application you will need to understand and take into account a lot of networking settings. It's not cheaper than other services like DigitalOcean or Linode, and the heavy-lifting is real

Cloud Computing at its best with a catch

Vorteile:

Server Deployment is easy - We use Amazon EC2 for deploying cloud servers for our applications. We have been able to easily deploy multiple configurations from the panel at the click of a button. Y Built on Linux - EC2 is built on Linux so if you have an understanding of Linux, it makes using EC2 easier. Cost effective. You really can't beat the cost here, being able to scale at a fraction of the cost of hosting an actual server is worth investing in EC2. You can easily turn off instances of EC2 servers when not in use to save money. Reliability - Amazon servers have extremely good uptimes which means they are working most of the time, in fact, we have not experienced any downtime since we switched from a fixed host provider.

Nachteile:

As with any platform, learning to use Amazon EC2 can take some time. We had to have our team re-trained to start using it. So it is not ideal if you just want to deploy right away. Also AWS services are complicated to use in general so you may find it confusing use. For example, the billing panel can be confusing to use if you have multiple instances of servers running. Because of the complicated nature of the Admin panel, it is easy to get lost in features and tools available, so you are better off staying within the areas of the admin area you know.

A great choice for scalable projects.

Kommentare: My experience in general with this software has been very positive, it has served me for different types of projects, and even projects outside of aws, since the tool can be easily integrated with other sources, be it other websites, databases, computers, etc. It also integrates very well with the other tools of aws.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Amazon EC2 is that it is a tool that has many uses is very versatile and allows me to customize the requirements that I need according to the project that I am developing, I can increase the amount of ram, hdd, processor memory easily from the website, it also has a high level of security, and allows you to manually configure many functions, such as ports, tasks, the control panel from the website is very intuitive and with many features, it also has a command line for more cases specific.

Nachteile:

It is an easy-to-use tool for basic use, however for something more specific it is really complex, the most difficult to learn to use is the console, it has many commands.

Simple access and no maintenance cost

Kommentare: Amazon EC2 has made it possible to carry out the implementation of services or applications in the cloud, thus saving time and money and being able to please any customer with their needs and all for a really fair price.

Vorteile:

This Amazon tool is really useful since it has great advantages that is why I like it for several reasons being the main one that is extremely flexible, easy to use, easy to access, requires no maintenance and only pays for what is used, account with an interface that is very intuitive in addition to that in case of having doubts about it provides tutorials or a really compressible documentation so there is no way of not being able to understand its use, also it can be customized to cover each one of the needs that search the user thus being able to host any application, or web service of business or personal interest.

Nachteile:

This tool works very well so finding faults as such is difficult, the only drawback is that locating a support team directly can be complicated but it is not impossible.

AWS EC2 - amazon cloud servers my review

Kommentare: overall experience with Amazon EC2 is satisfactory as they are easy to launch and use which reduces time to implement server but just keep an eye on the price and monitoring matrices .

Vorteile:

AWS EC2 instances are easy to launch and use we can use any OS we need , AMI are available and we can directly launch them from dash board on AWS cloud . all type of instance are available as per the requirement like general purpose , and instances which are optimised in computation , Memory and Ram can be selected . EBS volume can be attached according to requirement .

Nachteile:

when upgrade is required then we have to separately upgrade instance and EBS volume and run command to attach the EBS volume .

Scalable, Affordable, and Reliable: Amazon EC2 is Still my Go-To Cloud Server Solution

Vorteile:

AWS makes it easy to spin up a server in almost any size/performance combo needed, so you don't have to overbuy CPU capacity, etc. Pick from the thousands of pre-loaded servers or "roll your own" with many flavours of Linux and Windows available. I like that I can prototype a project on a small (as in cheap) server and then scale up to whatever size or number of servers is needed. Taking drive snapshots while live is easy and makes brain dead simple backups. In 10+ years of Amazon EC2 use, I've never lost a server or virtual drive.

Nachteile:

The number of pre-done server combos is in the thousands, and an easier system for searching and finding server images and selecting server settings would be a plus.

Vorteile:

Servers of almost any size in minutes. Change the specs up or down, in seconds with no penalties. Geographically redundant

Nachteile:

It seems like EC2,and AWS in general, is geared to be used ONLY by developers. A lot of their tools and utilities can only be used via cli or api. While i understand most of it is to aid in development of applications of many varieties, there are a few basic tasks ive come across that should have been fairly simple to do, nut i had to write an entire program myself to make it work. Not everyone who uses AWS services are coders. Make it a bit easier for the rest of us. Documentation can also be a bit spotty, but its pretty good overall.
