Vorteile:

1. Amazon EC2 offers exceptional capabilities to deploy our customer-centric application in cloud platform at ease. 2. We can effectively utilize its AMI to spin up any type of EC2 instances with any OS based on our business requirements within minutes. 3. Its auto-load balancing feature is helpful when we carry out web hosting with diversified incoming requests from the user. 4. We can also retain snapshots of our EC2 instances which can be used anytime to replicate our application configurations & deployments. 5. As it offers licensing within the charges of its EC2 instances, we are able to utilize various vendor applications and not worry about license renewal or request.

Nachteile:

1. If you wish to perform custom updates, it needs updating a lot of security patches along with its Amazon Machine Image which is quite complex. 2, Network configurations & ACL should be maintained properly so that there isn't any connectivity issues with our EC2-hosted applications. 3. We need to ensure to terminate the EC2 instances if we no longer require the service of it. Charges may incur if its left unchecked.

AWS EC2 allows you to create an instance i.e Elastic compute within a few clicks. For AWS EC2 you do not need to be worried about the installation and partitions and etc configurations. Instead of selecting the things you just choose your requirement and get it configured with fully installed Everything within few clicks. Here you get save your time Here you get to save you money as you have to pay only as you required. You have to option as well for free tier to the testing purpose of EC2. Even you have to option to choose a flavor as per your requirement you can have an option to choose the categories wise instance You can just say that: easy simple deployment with EC2

Nachteile:

If you have to configure the instance-EC2 you have to pay as per the billing criteria. You are not allowed to configured or customized your free tier instance-EC2. If you are not paying for your instance-EC2 your instance will be suspended.

Only good if you are willing to learn TONS of new terminology

Kommentare: We needed a diverse server platform setup each instance serving a different purpose. AWS allowed for us to do that but we had to outsource the whole project as it's just not simple to set that up. So all in all it's been a pain to use and manage.

Vorteile:

I liked the ease of upgrading your instance or adding volumes.

Nachteile:

Pretty much everything else, all of terminology is foreign and complex, finding anything in the dashboard is absolute nightmare. The billing is not clear or transparent. If all you need is a server for your app/business this is not the place to go unless.

Extensible with Plentiful Integrations

Kommentare: EC2 gives us the ability to automate a lot of our infrastructure installations. Along with the ability to bid on spot machines to make our server costs low.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 handles a lot of our server infrastructure and has in incredible amount of features to help deploy our products in a fast and scaleable fashion. Having integrations with other software allows us to use EC2 in an automated simple "key-turn" clusters.

Nachteile:

The thing a least like about EC2 is how rigid creating resources are. Editing things like machine sizes, flavors, and such is not as intuitive. Along with having different sections/consoles for managing instance configurations like networks or security groups.

Top cloud service

Kommentare: We used Amazon EC2 to host an open source reporting tool and the experience was great. One issue we had was the instance always restarting which changes the IP address and ends up affecting our configuration. But overall the experience was great as soon as we got a hang of how to deploy and manage it.

Vorteile:

I like how very configurable Amazon EC2 is. This gives a user greater control and flexibility when deploying a workload. There are also excellent documentation that gives step by step instructions on how to deploy and configure your EC 2 instance.The customer support is also great from what I have experienced. I used a premium support so the experience may differ from those that are not using premium support.

Nachteile:

The downside to having all the control is that it can be very challenging and complex sometimes. The documentation is great but it can be sometimes hard to find content related to issues you are facing.

AWS EC2 a great virtual machine service

Kommentare: The creation of cloud architectures with great cost management services. We are maintaining several clients' infrastructures on the Cloud, and we can use a common set of tools to do it all in the most efficient manner. The elasticity of services allows us to react to business requirements in no time.

Vorteile:

The ability to scale horizontally and vertically in automatic ways through configurations or by setting alarms. It is very easy to manage hundreds of instances from a central dashboard during stress' times for the application. It is also very easy to version and create templates to automate the creation of this resources and there are always ways of monitoring their health and even ways to avoid leaving instances on that don't represent income to the business.

Nachteile:

There is not an overwhelming bad point. The service works ok and makes what it must without complications. Since it is one of the first services from AWS, it has evolved and matured greatly.

Easy to use, even for non engineers like me

Kommentare: I'm a filmmaker with huge curiosity about technology, computers and internet. So, for me, the overall experience with Amazon EC2 it's very positive, because it's easy enough for no tech people and can give you the ability to move part or all your production to the cloud.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 has all the power to deploy virtual machines in minutes. It was so easy that I was shocked the first time I took away my afraid, read the documentation and launched my first VM, which saves me when the pandemic started, and I had to work 100% online.

Nachteile:

There are hundreds of settings that you must to keep on eye on it, because every one of them could charge you with undesired fees. So, be aware of terminate every Instance that you had created, backup your data and erase every storage to avoid surprises in upcoming bills.

Vorteile:

A very user friendly interface. easy to navigate and setup

Nachteile:

The free tier eligible instance is just 1gb ram. cant really do much with it

Your Personal Server in the Cloud

Kommentare: Overall, Amazon EC2 was amazing both for learning the ropes of the AWS universe and for testing, and/or deployment of a new application in the cloud without going through the hurdle of buying and setting up a physical server

Vorteile:

The ease of being able to spin up a server with a few clicks and under 5 minutes puts Amazon EC2 as the go to instance during testing and deployment of an application. You can basically scale horizontally or vertically as required which is more preferable when compared to on prem

Nachteile:

You need to be well vast in computer security and a few basic concepts about a server to be able to properly configure the instance. Else, you run the risk of exposing your data if not setup correctly

Amazon EC2 is a great option in cloud computing

Kommentare: My overall experience with EC2 is literally awesome why? because i used it for my webapps that i created with django and i got no issue at all the installation and configuration is easy establishing a remote connection is easy i used it for running my python scripts and i connected it with amazon RDS and i got nooo issue at all i am very happy and i recommend EC2 to all of you try to use it's free version atleast

Vorteile:

I like EC2 for the features like i can create instance of any OS (Windows, Linux) more over it gives you a one year free trial and you can use it from you local machine connecting through many sources i usually used the putty

Nachteile:

the one thing that i like the least about EC2 is that machine you get with free trial is very basic and slow so if you need a free trail and you want to test your script od piece of software that is a bit more resources consuming you may not be able to use it

Amazon EC2: Simplified Server Deployment in the Cloud

Kommentare: Can't imagine configuring all these server deployments and publishing them online to be used by clients instantaneously without the cloud IaaS services provided by Amazon EC2.

Vorteile:

I implemented several server scripts on EC2 Virtual Machines of the M4 instance profile. Using SSH and remote desktop it feels like working on a local server. Dynamic IP management makes advertising cloud servers to the outside world a very simplified task. I tested applications servers (Apache, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Glassfish, etc) on top of the EC2 cloud as well as database servers such as MySQL and DB2. The system is as "elastic" as advertised with a true pay-as-you-go model. That was the main inception behind realizing an actual "utility-computing" based cloud system by Amazon.

Nachteile:

The security configuration consisting of generating the private/public keys are not that simply packaged for the beginner developer. But many improvement have been made on this front by Amazon.

It gives you exactly what it should

Kommentare: After I figured out the complicated interface, I was being able to use my virtual machine and it was working 100% of the time and I had an amazing experience with it. Definitely suggest to anyone. The price is still high but much cheaper than Google or Microsft

Vorteile:

My virtual machine was always up, like I've never seen it ran out or restart or anything. It was always running which is what I was looking for in a server, Consistency.

Nachteile:

The Amazon AWS platform is too confusing, like they think you have to be an Amazon employee to understand the interface, too many buttons, too much information that I (as a marketing professional) don't need to know or I won't ever use. They really need to work on a simple platform for people who are not an engineer and let us just choose a simple plan and go with it.

The most elastic platform available.

Kommentare: I never had problems with this platform, it is really very complete and useful, it has an extremely high level of security, it also integrates very easily and natively with other aws tools, it is a wonderful multipurpose tool, which can be used with or without the other tools of aws.

Vorteile:

This tool is extremely versatile, serves as a vps, and as a base instance for many other aws tools, it allows me to connect to external aws platforms simply, it has a high level of configuration, customization and security. I can specifically choose each hardware component that is needed according to the needs of the projects, and the platform is ready to use in a few minutes, in addition to having a very extensive configuration panel, with many configurations, in addition to a console, which allows Work through commands directly, without opening the instance, its download and upload speed is very high and quite stable.

Nachteile:

It is difficult for me to think of a negative aspect on this platform, however, what must be taken into account is that it is a fairly complete and complex tool to use, so the learning curve is quite steep.

Simple access and no maintenance cost

Kommentare: Amazon EC2 has made it possible to carry out the implementation of services or applications in the cloud, thus saving time and money and being able to please any customer with their needs and all for a really fair price.

Vorteile:

This Amazon tool is really useful since it has great advantages that is why I like it for several reasons being the main one that is extremely flexible, easy to use, easy to access, requires no maintenance and only pays for what is used, account with an interface that is very intuitive in addition to that in case of having doubts about it provides tutorials or a really compressible documentation so there is no way of not being able to understand its use, also it can be customized to cover each one of the needs that search the user thus being able to host any application, or web service of business or personal interest.

Nachteile:

This tool works very well so finding faults as such is difficult, the only drawback is that locating a support team directly can be complicated but it is not impossible.

Best Cloud VM that can be used.

Kommentare: My overall experience is very good I would definitly recommend using EC2 to any user whether its a beginner or experienced person anyone can use it ease.

Vorteile:

I liked Elastice Load Balancer the most cause if there an issue with server the ELB takes care of Auto scaling the server.

Nachteile:

There is as such no thing that I least liked I genuinely like EC2 that why I use it myself and also in my company.

EC2 decreases significant amount of time to go live!

Kommentare: We are using EC2 with Elastic Beanstalk for our large web application with both Tomcat and Nodejs apps. It is being scaled when the traffic increases and scales up very efficiently. Yet, it is being expensive but it provides us to focus on development instead of maintenance.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 has broad choices of setup and configuration depending on your budget. It provides you a lot that you nearly dont need to maintain the instance at all. It also provides you load balancers that you can use it with and you can be sure that your application will scale when needed. If you are using the EC2 with Elastic Beanstalk it will be very easy to deploy and go live.

Nachteile:

It is an expensive service full plus. But you can consider that you are not going to need that much of maintenance power so you can decrease your cost by looking from that perspective.

A great choice for scalable projects.

Kommentare: My experience in general with this software has been very positive, it has served me for different types of projects, and even projects outside of aws, since the tool can be easily integrated with other sources, be it other websites, databases, computers, etc. It also integrates very well with the other tools of aws.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Amazon EC2 is that it is a tool that has many uses is very versatile and allows me to customize the requirements that I need according to the project that I am developing, I can increase the amount of ram, hdd, processor memory easily from the website, it also has a high level of security, and allows you to manually configure many functions, such as ports, tasks, the control panel from the website is very intuitive and with many features, it also has a command line for more cases specific.

Nachteile:

It is an easy-to-use tool for basic use, however for something more specific it is really complex, the most difficult to learn to use is the console, it has many commands.

Best webservice solution for cloud compute capacity

Kommentare: We use Amazon EC2 to host our services on the cloud platform to ensure thay they are highly available and are scaled up or down automatically without worrying too much. We also use the Amazon S3 storage which is a great add on to use with the cloud compute platform.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 is a market leader in the cloud industry to provide compute capacity. You can host webservices on the Amazon EC2 cloud and pay as per what you use. It is the best solution as you don't have to think about maintaining servers and spend on web services hosting infrastructure. Also Amazon EC2 handles the security aspects of the hosted services via access controls. A lot of webservices written in different programming languages can be hosted on this platform.

Nachteile:

There are no limitations for this product. They are a market leader and their services are highly configurable.

Immediate access to unlimited server computing potential

Vorteile:

EC2 is an incredible service offering unlimited computing power for any server applications, and best of all offering it 24/7 at the drop of a hat. Scale up or down automatically with elastic load balancers. Assign reusable, dedicated IPs. Create images quickly for use in duplicating servers.

Nachteile:

The interface is complex and not very intuitive. Pricing can be hard to understand or calculate ahead of time. Amazon support isn't readily available without paying a premium for it.

Amazon EC2: Best VM out there!

Vorteile:

I love how we can easily customize the virtual machine and how good amazon's customer service is. Our company uses it as a VM and we also run our products on it. It is very good and also has specific compliance with respect to micro industry such as ours.(medical)

Nachteile:

Little complex to use at first, but you eventually get the hang of it. I also feel the payment dashboard should be more simpler.

Great cloud platform for virtualization

Kommentare: Overall, EC2 is very good cloud platform. It's simple setup and easy to deploy OS on server. EC2 is popular cloud service and reduce the infrastructure costs.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

Awesome hosting provider!

Kommentare: At present, I am hosting 2 websites on EC2 and I am quite happy with the experience. I will recommend it to other users.

Vorteile:

First and foremost feature is its Low cost. It is very cheap to host service on EC2. You can easily integrate your service from EC2 with Simple mail service(Email Service of Amazon) and S3 (Cloud Storage). It is very easy to start and stop a container in the EC2. You can directly control and check for the amount you are spending in EC2. They have 24*7 Customer service which comes handy in case of any outrage.

Nachteile:

For newbies, it can create confusion as EC2 has so many features and tools. Although they have provided documentation and also youtube tutorials are available, one can benefit from the same.

Worst Support

Kommentare: worst, billings all ways contentious, support is retarded.

Vorteile:

Nothing interesting, just the same old slugged things and keep changing.

Nachteile:

Horrible services, bad support, keeping charging when their instances not working properly.

The ideal cloud Virtual machine that i have used as beginner

Kommentare: I have great experience overall using Amazon EC2 and will advise learners or beginners to try Amazon EC2. It works well with the other AWS products. This can definately save your money and valuable time so you can switch to this platform on positve note.

Vorteile:

I have used free trial option and it was really helpful to me. It is cost effective. Server deployment is very simple. Scalability is one of the feature i like most. When your virtual machine not in use you can turn it off this feature is benificial for beginners

Nachteile:

Amazon EC2 is works good so there is no drawback i found.

Great for spinning up instances of our site

Kommentare: We use it as a development team to spin up servers and build instances of our software for testing purposes.

Vorteile:

Amazon EC2 is a convenient way to spin up an instance of a site for testing purposes by basically mimicking the installation and configuration that you would have on a computer.

Nachteile:

I would be nice if the overall process could be a little less painful to set up and to integrate. But overall I think it works really well.
