Vorteile:

As part of investment banking projects, we develop valuations to help clients plan transaction negotiations. Valutico makes it easy for our analysts and bankers to create thoughtful, efficient valuation analyses and export attractive graphical summaries of their work.

Nachteile:

No complaints about the software or service. We really like it.

That you don't help us to estimate the Fair Value of debt instruments... please try to get some of that i am sure that S&P could provide data of interest rates nd value of debt instruments

Buyer Beware

Kommentare: We signed up on the basis that we would try for 12 months and see how it went. We advised that we weren't renewing only to be told that we hadn't notified Valutico within a certain timeframe and had to pay another 12 month subscription. This wasn't highlighted to us on signing up. They have hounded us as a small business for over 6 months including engaging debt collectors. In my view this is sneaky selling practices - wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Vorteile:

Prefer to use Excel - nothing else to add here other than using up minimum word count.

Nachteile:

It didn't suit our small practice. My team much prefer working in Excel where they have a strong understanding of where figures are being drawn from - particularly when preparing expert reports.

The similar transactions feature when looking for comparable transactions is very helpful

Kommentare: It allows you to deliver impactful and (almost) bullet-proof documents. I just recommend to add another valuation methodology: DCF with Terminal Value calculated not through GG perpetuity buth through EV and Equity multiples.

Vorteile:

I like having a full centralized dataset of transaction and market data provided by several illustrious suppliers which are usually unaccessible due to their cost as it strenghtens the assumptions made while interacting with a counterparty. Also, the possibility to build business plans and consequential valuation, with no forecasted company data at all, relying on industry benchmarks.

Nachteile:

Valuation range is usually really broad when adopting multiple methods and it needs high focus and knowledge in understanding what to choose and what to avoid. Anyway, I think it is a necessary condition otherwise anyone could be an analyst. :)

Kommentare: The ratings work well and the interface is user-friendly.

Vorteile:

I mainly use the tool for using multiples of a peer group. This works pretty well and smoothly.

Nachteile:

The filtering options are not optimal. When I search for companies for a peer group, I have different filter criteria (industry codes) than when I create a new rating, for example. I don't like that.

Vorteile:

Fantastic support team who are experts in their user experience and knowledge.

Nachteile:

It's best use is for larger enterprises, not relevant to the small business community.

Vorteile:

We have used the product multiple times already and have found that it provides clients with the comfort that their companies are likely to be valued a a price that is of interest to them. It provides significant detail where required for the clients. Provides us with a comprehensive comparison against our other research within the sector.

Nachteile:

The 4:3 documents are not the most visually appealing.

Easy to use, saves time on in house valuations

Vorteile:

Draws from S&P Capital IQ, charts Ev-Equity bridge, allows for inputting your own projections, customisability of the report, decent database of precedent transactions (S&P)

Nachteile:

Not much to dislike. Overall great experience!

A must have platform for equity valuation

Kommentare: Valutico is a robust and easy to use valuation platform. A must have for equity appraisals

Vorteile:

Financial data provided through the platform - vast valuation models available - user friendly platform - ESG features related to cost of capital calculation - peers analysis

Nachteile:

Sharing of results quite difficult - poor integration with excel for financial modeling purposed

Vorteile:

It is a well-designed, intuitive software. Very useful that the informaizons are taken from S&P Capital IQ, with the possibility of citing it among the sources. The ability to customize some data and simulate different scenarios is excellent.

Nachteile:

The Business Plan part is a bit oversimplified and insert guidance to better manage the qualitative section. I would also insert an automatic suggestion about potential peers in the early stage.

Fast valuation references at an affordable price

Vorteile:

Obtains real time data from providers like Capital IQ. Really ease to use platform. Fast valuation references with different valution methodologies. Affordable in comparison to the top tier financial information platforms.

Nachteile:

Plenty of transactions with no multiples. No capacity to change forecasting formulas or personalize financial models. Really simple financial models.

Simplying Private Equity Valuations

Vorteile:

Able to get a range of values to allow management to better understand the investments they have made. This is a useful tool for decision making.

Nachteile:

As I often deal with private companies, it is difficult to find comparative information as competitors are often also private companies.

Valutico provides data for comparables multiples. I find this very useful.

Sometimes some multiple is missing and it would be a good enhancement to prompt response on the rationales behind missing multiples.

Vorteile:

Nothing. Reports does not provide anything that can be used, unless you edit the whole thing and spend more time than starting from your own templates.

Nachteile:

Companies are limited. No NAICS code selection. 20+ valuation methods which by any standard is unnaceptable.

Usign Valutico for Tech Company Valuations

Vorteile:

Data from established databases, ease of use, intuitive UI/UX

Nachteile:

License cost for someone that is not a frequent user, as a cost per valuation would in our case make much more sense

New PPT reports have a good design and are editable. ESG questions are useful with clients. It saves you a lot of time in valuation's analysis and reports.

Nachteile:

It could be misleading for SME valuations in the private markets. However, if used with intelligence and the right integration, it can be helpful.
