Kommentare: Siemens hat über Jahre Software dazugekauft, aber sie nie richtig integriert. "Teamcenter" ist aktuell eine Kollektion hunderter einzelner Tools. Es wird dem Kunden überlassen die einzelnen Tools richtig zu konfigurieren und zu verbinden.
P.S.: Laut Siemens geht das auch nicht besser - es sei schließlich "ein komplexes System".

Vorteile:

Rich Client + Web Client verfügbar Clients für Enduser sind hübsch

Nachteile:

Extrem unflexibel. Anpassungen benötigen ein "Model Deployment", was locker eine Stunde Downtime bedeutet. Sehr instabil, da das Fundament, auf dem die Software aufbaut, sehr marode ist. Es ist ein bunter Mix von Java Anwendungen, C++ DLLs und Perl Scripten. Zusammengenähnt durch .bat Files. Einer MENGE .bat files.

Easy Solution to Follow 2D or 3D data in Multi Location Companies

Vorteile:

With Teamcenter software, more than one people can work on same data with same time and Teamcenter is easily control this complex process. In the multi location companies this is a huge problem and if the people don't know about the latest version of 2D or 3D, It may cause wrong updates on the data. Teamcenter solved this potential errors very easily also very user-friendly.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the interface works very slowly and it is very annoying but it happens very rarely. Also, sometimes software closes suddenly.

Gets the job done, some room for improvement

Kommentare: Overall it does what it is designed to do. There is plenty of room for improvements with ease of access, speed, and usability. Teamcenter can be the top of its class with a few improvements in these areas.

Vorteile:

Easy to get approvals and set a workflow. Once you are used to it, it enables you to do things much quicker and remotely if necessary. Easy access to the documents of your entire organization.

Nachteile:

This software can be difficult to use for people who are not tech savvy. Our administrator is bogged down with explaining this software to users, and there are plenty of ways people can go wrong with this. The software also has some bugs that slow it down and make accessing documents slow. Search features are slow and buggy.

Teamcenter as design tool

Kommentare: i've been working with it for 5 years growing in size inside my company. A lot of processes have been improved with Teamcenter

Vorteile:

This tool is quite powerfull, workflows, warnings, subcriptions... A good tool to collaborative enviroments.

Nachteile:

i would like it to be more stable. There are a lot of incidences related with stability.

Great software for CAD work

Kommentare: I am using this product for almost 4 years in automotive industry. It is very helpful to design a new part, checking package area, measurements for environmental components. You can section the parts and so on.

Vorteile:

It has a lot of featuers that you can use in automotive industry. Snapshot feature is my favourite because when you opened a lot of components for a vehicle, snap is saving your work and after sometime you can re-opened all your package.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the measurements took a lot of time and software collapses.

Best choice and easy to use!!

Kommentare: I personally recommend this application if you want to analyze complex 3d data models

Vorteile:

This program is very useful while complex 3D data like passenger cars. It shows quite fast even if you fully open a model with exterior, interior and powertain components.

Nachteile:

If you start this program newly, its very hard to get used it. The educational modules im the system is not sufficient enough

must for a design engineer

Vorteile:

Very easy to use compare to other programs. as a exhaust system engineer, it is helping to me see details and make some updates (open/close some sub-components , seperate them and see them respectively

Nachteile:

when you forget to log out and turn back to program after several hours, it is going to offline mode and you cant use it before close/open again

Powerful software for engineering

Kommentare: I use Teamcenter everyday that I store 3D, 2D models and engineering documents and check easily.

Vorteile:

It's a huge environment that you can keep 3D model data, BOM, change management etc. You can track the history for the revisions of all files stored in it.

Nachteile:

Having connection problems couple of times. Thin client sites are not compatible with all browsers.

Best 3D and 2D model visualization

Kommentare: Teamcenter is a main part of our working days in automotive industrial.

Vorteile:

Our company have been using Teamcenter to view 3D and 2D CAD models. It is easy to use. Most of tools like transformation, section or movement works very well.

Nachteile:

When you click to big data to open, it may causes an error and you need to close the program and re-open.

Teamcenter is best software for data management

Kommentare: Worked on creo integrated Teamcenter. And it is completely best package.

Vorteile:

Workflow initiation are done in single click and ECR and ECN process and it is easily integrated with creo are best part.

Nachteile:

Nothing to dislike. It is an wonderful PLM software.

Very comprehensive CAD system

Vorteile:

Various platform supports; web (thin-client), and desktop. You can reach to system whenever and wherever you are.

Nachteile:

You need a lot of training and practise to be able comprehend everything and take of advantage of all features.

Best service and useful tools

Kommentare: It is usefull service for us. I was supplier viewer before and it is easy to learn if you are supplier viewer. But after i complere my designer viewer training, i found terminology and steps are complicated. There are too many things to learn at tce.

Vorteile:

I use it every day at work and it is one of my best service. It is user friendly and capable to work with catia v5. Measurement, color, alignment, jack tool etc. is very useful. Especially jack tool is really important for our ergonomic studies. It is commonly used program at ford global and makes our assesment easier. There are many tools which I do not know how to use, but I really want to learn like motion tool. It s a plus to know tce very well if you are at automative industry.

Nachteile:

Sometimes i can not measure an edge or point. That is related with catia designs i believe but it makes my work harder. I was supplier viewer and now i took my designer viewer access and complete my training. Training of tce is not very helpful if you are beginner. Also release and frozen, item, item revisions etc. Seems to me difficult to learn now due to complicated names and steps.

Kommentare: Teamcenter is great application for manufacturing users from various departments. It enables you to manage all your product data and information in one single place.

Vorteile:

Teamcenter has an exceptional modular User interface that enables item management, workflow release management, structure management, visualization integration with NX and other market leading CAD tools, the ability to manage the entire lifecyle of the product from ideation, to design, to prototype, manufacturing and market release. The out of the box features cover most of the use cases with very little scope for customization. Teamcenter provides you with the state of the art architecture and the API's that are exposed via the integrated toolkit(ITK) which enables customization of server side and client side API. Teamcenter also has an easy to use business modeler interface which enables you to modify business rules and deploy them instantly.

Nachteile:

Nothing to dislike in particular. Teamcenter slows down considerably when integrated with other applications like Visualization.

Great engineering tool

Kommentare: As engineers you can rely on how this software keep all the data accessible but in a controlled manner.

Vorteile:

It is perfect to keep all information about parts, designs, 3D models. You can assign tasks for review or approval.

Nachteile:

It is not too user friendly, it is a little bit complex amd require a lot of exposure to understand what can be done, where and how.

Very useful application

Kommentare: I've been using Teamcenter approxiamately 9 years and I believe that it is the best program to store and manage 2D/3D CAD datas. It is also very user friendly program.

Vorteile:

We can store all 2D-3D datas very easily and manage them very well.

Nachteile:

It's sometimes very slow and it takes too much time to download the datas.

Best PLM ever

Kommentare: I used 3 different PLM in last 5 years. Definitely best one is Teamcenter

we use this software to view 3d 2d models. it is very structured and easy to use.

Nachteile:

this software runs very slow and crashes sometimes.

Teamcenter

Vorteile:

Teamcenter software allows the user to manage all necessary documents and configurations for building products. It has the ability to manage 3D models as well as design products from the ground up. Linking Bill of Materials to Manufacturing, ordering and operations to take to the design from concept to build.

Nachteile:

Ability to link to outside software it difficult. Which is why Siemens makes or supports different modules for the same software capabilities.

Kommentare: It's so beneficial for big companies to integrate all works.

Vorteile:

I like everything about this program. thanks to this, I can reach everything about my project even from other teams. One of the best features is synchronization with catia!

Nachteile:

I didn't see any significant problem with this software

Best option for a Car manufacturing company

Kommentare: To access design content of a vehicle of my interest.

Vorteile:

Well organized, mature tool for Car data storage, sharing. CAD extraction, visualisation options are nice.

Nachteile:

I don't know if this is related with my company's organization but, it might be better if TC becomes able to show material info of selected parts.

Ease to use

Kommentare: I'm using this program since 2013, it very useful. Sometimes I need just only part or drawing sometimes complete vehicle but it doesn't matter everytime I got what I need

Vorteile:

Interface is very good, I can manage my favorites and easily access what I want

Nachteile:

Search is not very good, sometimes I can't find what I need.

Most useful plm program for big companies

Kommentare: drawing could be seen perfectly from every viewpoint.

Nachteile:

demands very high quality computer software and if not it cause delay.
