Kommentare: We haven't found any other financial software that offers the control over accounts and the sheer volume of entities (clients, companies, banks, etc.) that PP supports.

Vorteile: We don't use the case management portion of Perfect Practice, but have used the financial side extensively for over 10 years. It supports all the entities that you could ever really need, along with the ability to set up and track many accounts for specific purposes, and has solid customer support from their staff. It also has an ODBC connection allowing for access to the raw data without using the PP front-end.

Nachteile: The table structure and layout is confusing without have a guide. There is also a strange feature which auto-fills strings so that the full data length is used up by having spaces added to the ends of all the fields.

Kommentare: Overall my experience has been good with Perfect Practice. They have a small support team that is typically fast to respond to any issues and I've also used them for custom projects within the program to make it more functional with our other systems.

Vorteile: I like that Perfect Practice is catered to law firms and the specific accounting involved with client trust accounts. It's difficult to find another software that would accommodate the number of entities involved in this type of accounting. QuickBooks and others we've looked into in the past haven't been able to.

Nachteile: This software is much less forgiving than other accounting software and it is more tedious to correct a simple mistake. Entries cannot be changed once they are posted which means reversing entries must be made to fix errors rather than simply reassigning accounts as is possible in other software.

Kommentare: Overall it is a very useful billing tool. I use this software for an average of 8 hours daily and have found it to be something that took me about 2 months to really understand. Helpful for all kinds of billing for both large and small firms.

Vorteile: I like that when I am pulling daily billing reports I have the option to pull different reports depending on what code was imputed. Creating to-dos for workable files is very handy in making sure you don't miss deadlines. It is organized and I learn something new about it every week.

Nachteile: I wish this software would allow for drag and drop options when attaching backup documentation. When adding and auditing new cost line items it is frustrating trying to view what is or isn't attached unless you open up and view each line individually or reopen the original window. This software is always throwing up error codes with then prompts you to click on the code fix and reopen the Perfect Practice Billing window from the beginning. It needs a layout update that doesn't look like it's from the early 90's.

Vorteile: I like that it is geared specifically to my industry, as there are not many accounting softwares that are. We only use the accounting side of this software, not case management.

Nachteile: There are several quirks that can throw the system off. No budgeting module, reports are not manipulatable. It's a very unforgiving system when compared to something like quickbooks. Extra entries have to be made if an error is made rather than being able to go back and edit.

Nachteile: It seems to be more for larger businesses that have multiple staff and offer multiple services to their clients.
