Nahezu perfektes Monitoring-Tool

Kommentare: PRTG ist ein super Tool für die Visualisierung unserer Infrastruktur. Es arbeitet zuverlässig, schnell und bequem.

Vorteile:

Einfachheit und Übersichtlichkeit, Einrichtung und Service

Nachteile:

Sehr rechenintensiv und hohe Hardware-Anforderungen

Sehr gute, einfach zu bedienende Monitoring Lösung

Kommentare: PRTG ist bei uns zur Überwachung der Netzwerk- und Serverinfrastruktur im Einsatz. Die Softwar bietet ein übersichtliches Dashboard mit dem Status aller überwachten Endpunkte. Für die meisten Endpunkte findet PRTG automatisch die passenden Sensoren und richtet diese automatisch ein.

Vorteile:

Sehr einfacher Einstieg in das Monitoring mit sehr guter Sensorendatenbank und viel Informationen durch Community und Hersteller.

Nachteile:

Wenn nicht richtig eingerichtet kann ein Postfach schnell mit Benachrichtigungen überschwemmt werden. Grundsätzlich jedoch kein Fehler der Software

Überwachung leicht gemacht

Kommentare: PRTG hebt sich in puncto Verwaltung von der Konkurrenz ab. Es ist einfach zu bedienen und bietet unzählige Möglichkeiten um den Betrieb zu vereinfachen

Vorteile:

Einfache Bedienbarkeit, stetige Weiterentwicklung, zur Überwachung gibt es kaum Grenzen. Man kann eigene Skripte hinterlegen. Schnelle Reaktion auf Issues. Mobile App

Nachteile:

ab einer bestimmten Anzahl an Sensoren, gerade WMI, werden weitere Probes (Server) benötigt um eine Lastverteilung der Server zu erzeugen. Die Weboberfläche ist ab einer gewissen Anzahl recht träge.

Netzwerk Überwachung & Überblick

Kommentare: Seit nun circa zwei Jahren wird PRTG in unserem Unternehmen genutzt. Die Verwaltung, das hinzufügen von neuen Geräten, als auch Einrichtung von Überwachungsgruppen ist sehr einfach. Bisher hat PRTG bei allen Meldungen & Fehler sehr zuverlässig gemeldet.

Vorteile:

- Sehr Übersichtlich - PCs, Drucker, Server, Switche können einfach hinzugefügt werden - Überwachung sehr zuverlässig - Viele Sensoren, die Überwacht werden können - Ständig Up2Date dank Updates

Nachteile:

- Ticketsystem - Bei EPSON WF-Geräten werden die Wartungsboxen nicht überwacht

Pros und Cons

Vorteile:

- Es bietet eine sehr umfangreiche Palette an Sensoren - Die Benutzeroberfläche ist super - Agentenlos

Nachteile:

- schlechte Azure Unterstützung, erst mit teurem 3rd Party Addon können Services in Azure vernünftig abgebildet werden - Die Lizenzierung basiert auf Sensoren, was schnell teuer werden kann, je nachdem, wie viele Informationen Sie sehen möchten

Der Umfang für vordefinierte Sensoren ist massiv und ist in alle Richtungen fast vollständig anpassbar.

Nachteile:

Der Preis für den Wartungsvertrag steigt (wohl auch durch die Inflation) deutlich.

PRTG Is a Great Tool for many Organizations

Kommentare: PRTG brings a lot of value to our organization and it works well to notify our Department immediately when something is down. We have a critical need for this. Some of the user interface and customization for alerts could be better though.

Vorteile:

PRTG works on Mac or PC! I can set it up to alert me only on certain items in my org tree by priority, and it works 100% and I don't ever miss notifications.

Nachteile:

Some alert settings could be more customizable or paused for a certain time period easier. The user interface could be setup a little cleaner and up to date.

PRTG helps to keep an eye on a real-time network in use for an event

Kommentare: Tracking local network devices at an event, and with notifications when something is offline have greatly helped to reduce the stress of keeping an eye on device uptime. a local overview of the network has been a great tool

Vorteile:

there's a lot to it, as such, it covers alot of ground. I'm sure there are templates and possibly scripting that I haven't explored or discovered, but what I have used for monitoring remote events has worked really well.

Nachteile:

there's a bit of learning curve, and as time permits, I hope to eventually get to dig into it. An intro at maybe a simpler level would be nice, with maybe an incentive track to learn more in-depth usage

PRTG makes monitoring my network a breeze, keeping me informed and able to fix issues quickly.

Vorteile:

The customizable dashboards and alerts make staying on top of my network's health a cinch.

Nachteile:

The learning curve was a bit steep at first, and I wish there were more pre-built sensor options.

PRTG is a great option to monitor your IT assets

Kommentare: The experience has been good in general. Once you get everything done in terms of configurations and custom settings, you basically need to keep watching the dashboard and your email for the notifications.

Vorteile:

I like the interface, which is very versatile and allows you to customize the views that are more important to you. I also like to receive notifications when something happens so we can quickly react and fix.

Nachteile:

Some of the sensors require very complex configurations and that sometimes prevents us to get the most from PRTG. The system is so complete that it also has too much settings for each sensor which sometimes makes the work of configuring them very exausting.

BEST NETWORK MONITOR

Kommentare: Very great Experince especially for Network Monitoring and Tracking of the Different Network Devices and Sensors.

Vorteile:

1. Easy Access and Management of a large number of Both LANs and WANs on just a single window. 2. On-premises installation for full control over the company's data, configuration & updates. 3. Free Version of the Software with most of the core network management tools with its limitation being that it offers only 10 Sensors.

Nachteile:

Sensor Limitations: The Free Version of the Software is limited to only 10 sensors

Proactive Network Management Made Easy

Kommentare: The overview that PRTG provides about network health and performance is incredibly important in detecting and resolving a possible security threat at its quickest. This proactive approach reduces our downtime a great deal and increases our overall security posture.

Vorteile:

PRTG really excels at providing detailed network visibility. Customizable dashboards and real-time alerting enable strong security. The way this integrates with other existing systems, with deep reporting, makes my proactive management of risk much easier.

Nachteile:

While PRTG is feature-rich, the initial setup may be a little time-consuming. It would be nice if there were more streamlined configuration options for quicker deployment.

The best SNMP monitoring software for complex networks

Reliable partner for IT Monitoring

Kommentare: Good reliable and stable partner for IT monitoring. We have been using it for years now.

Vorteile:

Wide range of available sensors. Easy setup.

Nachteile:

No probes for linux systems - although it is still possible to monitor linux devices.

Best Monitoring Tool for the money

Kommentare: We have a very good experience with the Network Monitor and have recommended to some colleges.

Vorteile:

The ease of setup and configuration and also how to get alerts in case of an issues.

Nachteile:

More option can be added but overall, we are happy for what we were looking for.

Highly Customizable and Very Capable Systems Monitor.

Kommentare: Saved our bacon numerous times. Was able to monitor just about everything I could throw at it. Very satisfied with the performance and options of the product.

Vorteile:

The plethora of ways and systems to monitor. Built in support for Windows Active Directory, DNS, SQL Server and more. So many aspects to monitor - SSL Certificates, Running Services, individual SQL tables.With SNMP, you can add anything that supports that protocol. I Added Printer toner levels.Integrates out of the box with Active Directory, for single sign on purposes. Fine grained security options. An API to easily add new systems.The free version is full featured, limiting only the amount of sensors (100) you can run.Built in Integration with other well known systems like Meraki, and Sophos.

Nachteile:

It's a great product that does what it does every well. Nothing really comes to mind. Perhaps too much customization.

A great product if you just need a simple and free monitor or Enteprise Leve one

Kommentare: I currently use the free product where I work now, but in the past have used the enterprise product for a larger oragnization.

Vorteile:

There are a lot of different things you can monitor, prebuilt templates and even custom things that you can build. Having a free product helps a lot to see if it's what you need in your environment.

Nachteile:

I wish AD logon integration was included in the free version instead of 1 shared account.

Great Monitoring Tool. Excellent with alerts and notifications.

Alerts, Notifications, all the sensors that come out of the box. Easy to use. Easy to set up.

Could improve with support. It's hard to communicate via email only.

It is very easy to setup and you can monitor a large category of devices.

Nachteile:

No big deal, it's a very simple tool to handle. Map creation may take a little time.
