Mangelhafte Betreuung und Datev-Anbindung

Kommentare: Man hat oft den Eindruck, dass es Stückwerk ist vom ehemals deutschen Kassenanbieter, der wohl übernommen wurde. Es scheinen hier zwei Welten aufeinander getroffen zu sein.Von deutschen Buchhaltungsanforderungen, Mehrwertsteuersätzen, Datev usw. scheint niemand richtig Ahnung zu haben, das ist fatal!!!

Vorteile:

- Man kann Änderungen recht einfach im Menü vornehmen- Support ist gut erreichbar und auch hilfreich

Nachteile:

-beim Start sind wir nicht richtig betreut worden, das System war nicht richtig eingerichtet bzw. vorbereitet, wir mussten ca. eine Woche mit einer nicht funktionierenden Kasse kämpfen und viele viele Telefonate führen- Die fehlende Kassenbuchfunktion ist ein sehr großes Manko, Datev Anbindung die reine Katastrophe. Wegen der völlig unverständlichen Anforderungen vom Anbieter Omniboost hat unser Steuerberater die Zusammenarbeit aufgekündigt, was eine reine Katastrophe war. Zufällig erfahren wir, dass es eine neue Datev-Anbindung geben soll und versuchen, seit zwei Monaten!!!! einen Account Manager diesbezüglich z erreichen. Trotz fast wöchentlicher Anfragen meldet sich niemand. - Die Berichte sind überdimensioniert und unübersichtlich (es fehlen Angaben ob die Zahlen brutto oder netto angegeben sind)-im Menü fehlt eine Wochen/Monatsübersicht der Umsätze, man kann immer nur den aktuellen Geschäftstag sehen?

Ich habe eine TSE Cloud Bestellung bestätigt bekommen und jetzt wissen die Herren nichts mehr davon.... Habe die E-Mail mir warscheinlich selbst geschickt... Seit über 3 Monaten mache ich jetzt schon mit dem Support rum schreibe,maile und telefoniere aber es interresiert sich keiner dafür. Auch die Geschäftsleitung fühlt sich nicht angesprochen... Jetzt habe ich Probleme mit dem Finanzamt aber niemand kümmert sich darum. Beim Rechnung schreiben sind Sie gut....Bis Heute keine Lösung oder einmal ein Rückruf wie gefordert...

Best POS I've used

Kommentare: We wanted a simple to use, reliable and feature rich application and Lightspeed delivered, only wish we could write our own extensions a little easier.

Vorteile:

The ux is absolutely straightforward and intuitive, you hardly even need the manual from set up to production

Nachteile:

API behind a pay wall. As a software developer who casually wrenches and has set up lightspeed in multiple businesses, I'd have liked to get in deeper on the nerdy side. From a regular user perspective that's not an issue though.

Choose Lightspeed!

Kommentare: Lightspeed was, is, and will continue to be great for us.
Staff loves the ease of use of the front end. I love the simplicity of updating the online site, the data available for export in the office, and the full integration with our other software.

Vorteile:

We had the highest expectations for Lightspeed POS and have been ecstatic about the choice. Staff appreciates the ease of use and the quick customization (once familiar with back office which does not take that long). We have continued to appreciate the helpful 24 hour customer service team. Even when they did not have answers for our unique problems, they always did their best to figure out a workaround. The ability to export raw data of every receipt item for every receipt entered has proven invaluable. With knowledge of Excel, data analytics have been insightful and highly beneficial. Since the pandemic began, Lightspeed has continued to innovate and has improved their product which has allowed us to create an online ordering site for pickup and delivery. And the best part is full integration with our online site, POS, accounting software, and scheduling software.

Nachteile:

First, no POS is perfect, including Lightspeed. Understanding the back end has allowed us to create work arounds for things the software is currently incapable of doing as intended at this time. One thing has been problems with combos, which we resolved with a workaround. The biggest con is the process used for some software upgrades. Understandably, when a request is made often, it is pushed up the programmer's priority list. There are however some upgrades that, although not highly requested, can definitely improve the product. I have several requests into the programmers at this time.

Then online reputation, customer service, and sales process were taken into account. And, as a publicly traded company, the Lightspeed stock at the time of purchase was in the news and it was at the start of it's rise. At this writing, it is almost triple that price.

Not interested in much other than sales

Kommentare: Implementation was terrible. The salesman made onboarding sound very simple, but when I was putting my items into the system, it was no better than square to do. The company's idea of helping you seems to be to create videos for you to figure out their software so that they don't really have to help you. The few times I called to try to get help with items, the support staff was very short and seemed more interested in just getting you off the phone and moving on. Perhaps there performance reviews are based on quantity of clients "helped". I was very clear with the sales team about what I needed for my business. I messed up when I quickly glanced at the invoice of equipment they sent me and didn't see the discrepancy in the quantities. Also, I came to find out that their claim that none of the equipment that I already had with square would be compatible with lightspeed is completely false. They basically sent me the same star printers that I had with square and cash drawers that I could have used with my current printers as well. While the pricing online says the monthly fees, their salesman knew that I needed more registers than they sent me. Some time later, I requested that they send me the rest of the registers that I needed as I had originally requested and chalked the wrong number up to a mistake. They sent me the hardware and threw a bunch of additional software charges in the mix without even mentioning them. All charges were made before I even saw an invoice.
I confronted them about it and the initial response was "all sales are final". At that point, I told them that they had two weeks to get back to me on how would reconcile the mistakes made by their company to retain me as a customer and mend our relationship. I didn't hear from them at all during that time. When they finally got back to me, I told them that I did not want to continue my relationship with them anymore, and and that I understood that I'd incur some costs in severing the partnership, but I thought it should be fair. I'd eat all shipping costs and hardware from the first order, but I wanted a refund on the unauthorized charges and for software to be prorated to time elapsed only. I understood I would be out several thousand dollars. I was told "there is nothing we can do" by multiple managers. Finally, just today I received an invoice concerning my refund for the second order of hardware and the refund did not include any of the software as discussed with their managers, and they want to charge me a 20% restocking fee for hardware that never even made it to my place of business. The refund that they are supposedly giving me for absolutely no services rendered. This company is totally crooked. Do not make the same mistakes that I have. I will likely be perusing legal action against this company if they do not respond appropriately.

Vorteile:

I thought this product was going to be a great way to more easily keep my books up to date and get pricing and inventory dialed in as compared to square. It has a lot of functionality compared to a product like shop keep or square.

Nachteile:

Service - Limited concern for the customer's problems. No effort to actually work through and understand a client's business. Sales Team - Arrogant and dishonest Billing - Sly and deceitful. Invoices serve as contracts as they contain fine print at the bottom that refers a client to the company's actual contract and product terms that the client must hunt down for themselves. Management - No concern for clientele.

Indifferent Support

Kommentare: Although I had used Lightspeed pre pandemic it became a nightmare to re-set up post pandemic. First, they didn't even have available the App for the new version in my country's App Store. Then it took days (via email) to figure things out and get it up and running. They have the absolute WORST support when it comes to billing. One time my CC was declined and it took me a WEEK to get the card re-charged with a lot of run-around between chats and unfilled promises by Lightspeed. The link to pay your bill that they eventually send you DOES NOT WORK (nor have they done anything about it after I notified them many months ago. At chat support they send you another link to another system that declines the charge saying "not supporting the currency in your country" Whaat? The U.S. dollar, probably the most used currency in the world! Off chat support again with no promise of how long I'll take to re-try charging my card. There's an indifference there to the customers. I sense that they have become too big for their britches? Oh, and they just turned off my Backoffice access without any warning! oh wait, I've only been a customer for 8 years... hm

It runs fairly stable and has a lot of features

Difficult set-up and customer service and particularly a billing department that don't care about the customer.

Take the plunge, get Lightspeed

Kommentare: Started with Lightspeed during covid, and it was possibly one of the best decisions we could have made for our restaurant. We are now able to accurately determine quantities of items sold and see what menu items are performing under to be able to advertise and highlight those items. Customer support is always available and I’ve never had to wait long to be connected to someone when I needed help. They will do their absolute best to fix every problem you have. We also recently went through a Hurricane that caused power and internet outrages for extended times in our area. We were still able to use Lightspeed despite not being able to connect with the internet thanks to their software and technology. Once the internet was restored (about a month later), Lightspeed was able to back up all sales and report information from when the internet was out. I highly recommend taking the plunge and starting up with Lightspeed. We are very satisfied.

Ease of use, ease of setup, always someone to help available 24/7

Nachteile:

I can’t even think of something I don’t like about Lightspeed. We are very satisfied with them.

Lightspeed at the speed of light!

Vorteile:

The set up was easy with great support from the staff at Lightspeed. Great ability to handle multiple floor plans, products, users and reporting. Very full featured software that should be able to handle any restaurant's business.

Fantastic POS

Vorteile:

Lightspeed is very reliable, easy to program good functionality. In 3 years our POS has not crashed or stalled. Customer support is remarkable. The team is knowledgeable and professional. My questions are answered the same day.

Nachteile:

Most of the reporting is very good. I would like more one page style reports, for example all servers that worked yesterday lists total sales, category sales, average check. I can get this information but each server is listed separately so analysis is time consuming.

Makes Perfect Sense!

Kommentare: We have been using Lightspeed for 2+ years now and absolutely love it! We are able to utilize many of their components to assist us not only in the basics (inventory, sales) but analytics and E-Comm. LS staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and quick to respond to our needs.

Kommentare: With thoughtful planning and set up, we have seen a lot of value from the on-board features. We run a loyalty program using just the basic features of the POS.

The setup took time, but with good planning, we are able to get a lot of value out of the back-end reporting without the add-on module.

Nachteile:

I wish our Chase payment system could be integrated.

Lightspeed POS for Restaurant

Kommentare: Overall, our experience has been great, but no software is perfect. Their rates are comparable, but the customer support is phenomenal.

Vorteile:

Lightspeed is sleek, very professional look and feel. Although it does take a number of buttons to run through a transaction, it's definitely an upgrade to what he had prior. The loyalty program integration is amazing, as customers earn points on the spot without any manual entry.

Nachteile:

Although not directly related to POS, their payment processing dose not allow partial refunds which causes us headaches at times.

Definitely would not recommend. Over priced and impossible to cancel.

Vorteile:

Easy to use but when compared to competitors like square, extremely over priced.

Nachteile:

I would be very careful signing up, we have been trying to cancel for weeks now but have been given the run around. The sales team is supposed to reach out but we have been waiting. Now our next months payment has just come out. They are extremely difficult to deal with. Other companies have call centers based in the states but it does not seem as though lightspeed does.

Not The Same Company They Used To Be

Kommentare: The first two years we used Lightspeed was awesome. Year three the software was failing weekly.
We went two weeks without the inventory purchase order system, because Lightspeed told us it was a probelm on our end. The deny they had problems. We went a long time without being able to process payments because a clitch in their system. I personally beleive they were growing too fast. It was clear that they accepted that they would loose customers through out the process.

Vorteile:

When we started with Lightspeed it was awesome. There was a time I couldn't say enough about how much we liked Lightspeed.

Nachteile:

As they grew and added features and modules the program always had serious deabilitating gliches. Their customers support went from A+ to F in three years.

Disgracefull

Kommentare: Overall experience is disgracefully! There call center is in a third world country with poor phone lines and roosters crowing in the background! They only answer during the day, not when needed after hours.

Vorteile:

Its hard to offer what is good when things are so bad! This system is designed by computer people who believe all their customers are as computer knowledgeable as they are. When they dont answer their phones its hard to give anything positive!

Nachteile:

The Customer Service is Diabolical! I lost sales due to big glitch in the system! No one answers the phone, even at 6.30pm. They only deal with you through text!! This takes 10 times longer than is required. They are quick to take your money but offer pathetic after sales service!

Kommentare: If there was another option that exceeded the value, I would recommend a change for something that is more intuitive, more user friendly, and offered more complete support.

Vorteile:

The POS functions are fairly easy to use and the reporting is simple. Also, customer info and scheduling are also fairly easy to use and navigate.

Nachteile:

It is very difficult to train a new person on the software. Inventory management is very difficult and tedious and most all functions related to inventory management including ordering are a nightmare to manage.

Kommentare: We need better support system in the week end. We need a app to view from the menu. We will have to use browser to login into restaurant manager. As a owner, we need to simple app to check the sales summary for each location in the app.

Easy to use with many features. We have been using this software since the inception. We are happy with software.

There are few limitations to use it but it's getting fixed one by one. We have only POS system. We are looking complete solutions for the restaurant to track the sales and expenses.

Great POS system for small retailers

Kommentare: I'd recommend Lightspeed to anyone. I've used the cloud-based platform in a baby boutique and a home/gift shop. It's served us well in both settings. All our employees have been able to use the system without difficulty and the analytics have given us an advantage in managing operations.

Vorteile:

Back-end setup is pretty simple and user interface for point of sale is easy and forgiving. Our '72 year old non-computer literate' retail associate was able to master it in no time. Customer support is also top notch.

Nachteile:

There are a few small issues - refunds are a multi-step process, and setting up the ecom website didn't feel as intuitive as it could be. (I did talk with customer service about this. They agree the process could be streamlined and are in the process of rolling out a new setup process shortly.)

Kommentare: Lightspeed has been really good to us over the past 4 years with regards to reports and POS systems.

Vorteile:

The software was extremely customizable and accommodating . There was always an answer and or a work around to getting the setting that you need.

Nachteile:

The price. In my situation I really only need the basics and there isn't a more accommodating price point for the little that I need. Also, they are relatively new to ecom and the add on is way too much for what it is.

Light speed for restaurant

Vorteile:

Simple and user friendly interface allows for quick and easy training of new staff. Menu/price adjustment can easily be implemented on the fly through the back end. Daily sales reports via email allow me to keep on eye on the restaurant when I am not there.

Nachteile:

Dont update accept updates during lunch hour, as it can take a few minutes to update and the software cant be used during that time.

Vorteile:

Can manage from anywhere. Easy to update products on prices on the spot. Great reporting and crm. Love that you only have to use functions that you require.

Nachteile:

I would like to be able to view only POS from device which is not assigned as register. Also, not sure if already available, but we would like to be able to process gift certificates through the till easily.

Absolutely fantastic product, team, and set up.

Kommentare: While originally using a completely outdated and problematic POS system, we were put in touch with the team at Kounta. They were explained as being the most genuine team in the business, but always on hand to help and with a system which really spoke for itself. Not only was the recommendation totally correct, I am now the one spreading the word of just how simple the transition was, and how happy we are with the product. Not only is it a really easy system to set up and organise, especially with the helpful team over at Tech Panty - a shout out to Andy who is such a 'yes-man' and always on the problem solving case - , we were completely changed over on such a tight time limit with absolutely no stress from our end. We've been up and running for a few weeks now, and staff members who were completely dedicated to the old systems are now totally sold on the new system Kounta has provided. It is an easy system to set up, use on a day to day basis and fills all of the reporting tick boxes you can have. The fact that these teams have worked in hospitality really shows through the product; it's set up like it has been trialed for a number of years with all issues that could have arisen already ironed out. 10/10.

Count on Kounta

Kommentare: Kounta is the best point of sale.
I have set up five different POS systems since 2000 and Kounta is by far the best and most flexible.
Our business could not have grown as quickly, successfully or efficiently without it.
Absolutely love the production printing set up. Nothing compares.

Nachteile:

Occasionally updates take a few minutes, otherwise we have very few issues in the last 4 years since we started using Lightspeed

lightspeed has been wonderful to work with. easily update and change menu its at the Chilliwack airport restaurant. customer service is always easy to deal with
