Vorteile:

For IT department, 1. Easy to setup printer and upload floor plan. 2. DHCP IP range can be used for auto deployment. For End-user, 1. User friendly. 2. Easy to find the printer location on floor plan.

Nachteile:

Cost Justification as PrinterLogic can be expensive, particularly for small to medium-sized businesses. The cost of licensing and maintenance may deter smaller organizations or those with limited budgets from adopting the software.

Excellent centralized printing solution!

Kommentare: The overall experience has been great! It's simplified printer management and deployment, and made installation for users very easy and intuitive. Support has been excellent from the start.

Vorteile:

We just started rolling out the system to our users, but from an IT view this is SO much easier, cleaner and faster than trying to get printers and drivers out to staff using our MDM solution. I don't have to build a separate package for each printer and upload it to the MDM, then push it out. I only have to upload/configure the driver(s) once per printer type and not for each individual printer. So, when adding a new printer, I can just select the driver that I've already uploaded from a drop down menu and apply it. Bonus that I only have to update that driver in one location too (admin panel), and it distributes to all the clients. Another great feature is the ability to hide printers that are at other locations based on the user's IP address. They can travel to different locations and only see/install printers at that location. It's also nice that the users can only install the printers they are going to use and not have to sort through a list of printers that have been automatically installed that they will never use. It also helps that I can upload a map of the building and drop the printers onto the map so the users can see exactly where a certain printer is and install it right from the map. The printer icons can show whether it is a color or black and white which helps users as well. The reporting function is quite detailed and is allowing us to "cut" out a separate system for logging print usage. We also setup email alerts for things like low toner and paper jams which is nice, but there is a but...see the "dislike for a short explanation (TLDR: too many emails) The instructions are easy to follow for setting things up though like Azure/Entra. I'd never linked an Enterprise application before and the documentation made it very easy to do so that I could provision users. We're getting ready to decommission our print servers that give us headaches from time to time. Vaison assisted us with the initial setup and offered excellent support during the trial phase. Post trial support has been quick to respond as well.

Nachteile:

he biggest challenge that I am having is remembering where to go in order to configure certain things. We deployed the client through our MDM, but there is still a little interaction needed by the user to complete setup, which can be difficult for some users. The only other issue I have is that after setting the alerts for toner, I got too many emails, even after setting it to the maximum time. There may be a setting to change that to notify once and be done, but I have not found that yet.

I don't have to use Windows Server to manage printers.

I don't like that they moved away from their on-prem, but the cloud version still works great.

Printers made easy

Kommentare: It's been a great experience. Easy to add in drivers, deploy out, and reports on who printed what.

Vorteile:

Get rid of your old print servers, group deployments, and a super intuitive ui!

Nachteile:

Might be a little overwhelming at first, but the features are great.

Efficient and User-Friendly Printer Management with PrinterLogic

Kommentare: My overall experience with PrinterLogic has been very positive. The simple user interface and clean web portal make it extremely easy to manage printers. The integration with Active Directory and the ability to remotely push printer installations have streamlined our processes significantly. Adding printers for users, whether locally or remotely, has become incredibly efficient. While a bit more customization in advanced features would be helpful, PrinterLogic has overall been a reliable and effective solution.

It makes it incredibly easy to add printers for users both locally and remotely.

Nachteile:

What I liked least about PrinterLogic is that there isn’t much to improve, but occasionally, more advanced features could benefit from additional customization options or more granular control. However, overall, the system is quite efficient.

PrinterLOGICAL Choice

Vorteile:

The intuitive design and seamless integration transforms printing management. One of the standout features is the centralized management console. It’s incredibly user-friendly and allows access to handle printers and print jobs from a single interface. This significantly reduces the time spending troubleshooting issues and managing print queues.

Nachteile:

I would say it can be a little pricey for smaller organizations is the main thing. There's a bit of a learning curve for anyone not already familiar with advanced print management tools. Also it's cloud based and dependent on internet connectivity. Issues have arisen for me in RARE instances only in my experience though.

Vorteile:

Migration and deployment was a breeze. Considering its direct IP printing it makes troubleshooting super easy as well. Off network printing is a cool feature. I didn't even know our users needed to print while working remotely but apparently they do. Printerlogic thought of that too. Everyone on the account and support teams are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the product. Never had to wait for another engineer to contact us on a problem.

Nachteile:

I would like support for v4 drivers. It's not the end of the world but would be nice.

Progress evolving

Kommentare: I'd say it's an 85% satisfied experience. From a user perspective, it's not totally 100% either. Feels like a work in progress, although doesn't feel like a Microsoft 'beta' experience either, which is a good thing.

Vorteile:

ease of use to provision and maintain on-network and off-network printers as needed

Nachteile:

once locked into a specific domain/defined printer group, requires modifying config files to re-point to a new or different printer domain/group. Also, wish for a more streamlined and admin friendly process to update drivers and devices.

Printerlogic, Pretty Happy with it!

Vorteile:

Ease of use, just does what we tell it to do. Adding drivers is easy, managing printers is easy.

Nachteile:

The auto-sign out time seems a bit short, not sure if there is a way to increase the time for log out on the admin portal.

Printerlogic has turned print management from a time consuming task to a cinch

Kommentare: Printerlogic has been pivotal for our healthcare organization managing our 3,000+ print devices across multiple campuses. We are completely dependent on Printerlogic for all of our printer needs at Cambridge Health Alliance. There has been numerous times when we had to deploy 50+ printers to a new location (especially during COVID), where our old method would have taken us multiple resources, multiple days to deploy these printers to workstations, but leveraging Printerlogic, it was as easy as updating a CSV spreadsheet and importing it using the Administrator Data Manager, the entire process took about 15-20 minutes.

Vorteile:

The ease of use of the management interface, deploying printers to each workstation, which is how we deploy printers here at CHA (based on workstation proximity to print devices).

Nachteile:

I think the product would be more helpful if there was an "Overview" window available, where we could check the status of all of the printers at a glance.

Excellent product if printing is critical in your organization.

Vorteile:

PrinterLogic is a highly customizable printing solution that allows you to tweak your printers and printing infrastructure to your exact liking. We utilize and highly praise PrinterLogic for the MANY options of deploying printers to end users. We use PrinterLogic to deploy printers based on subnet/VLAN/IP range, as we have several "floating" users that go from branch to branch, and PrinterLogic assigns them the default printer that we select for their particular VLAN. Another awesome feature that we use is assigning printers by Active Directory group, and it even scales down granularly so you can assign printers by Active Directory username!

Nachteile:

I really don't have anything bad to say about PrinterLogic. Any time we've had issues with any functionality of PrinterLogic, their support was always prompt and very helpful.

Great solution for easy deployment

Kommentare: Easy deployment. Support has been amazing. We had some initial issues with the browser plugins and some of our printer models but support was knowledgeable and responsive to get us through those issues and we have had no issues since.

Vorteile:

We were experiencing driver deployment issues because of the print nightmare bug in MS printing. Printerlogic installed very easily and solved our printing issues.

Nachteile:

I am not super fond of the browser extension installation but it is working well. Cost of course but it was necessary and I have been very happy with the results.

Printer Logic

Kommentare: Overall I would rate printer logic an 8/10, very nice software to use, making printers easy to manager and I dont want to pull my hair out every 10 minutes

Vorteile:

Fairly easy to deploy, really easy to install new printers, print remotely and track print queues for people Support has been good for it, and it is very reliable. We have never had a problem with printer logic

Nachteile:

There was a few snags about installing printer logic for the first time on our machines, when installing I would need to use command prompt and have the exe in the 'public users' folder and run with a batch file with a key, then another command and it was installed. Im not sure if that was due to the way the business is set up as I came along after the adoption of printer logic here so it may be easy for you.

Vorteile:

The ability to map out the printers across our floorplans and have that view available for our employees is amazing. Along with the easy management of removing/deploying/troubleshooting printers based upon the web console, there are few programs and companies that could out perform PL.

Nachteile:

Previously, we have had an ongoing issue with authentication failures with faxing when we transitioned from on-prem to SaaS. We are still going through troubleshooting since originally posting our ticket back in September '23

PrinterLogic Review from a financial institution

Kommentare: It has been great since we first implemented it. We lease our printers so the physical printer issues are taken care by that vendor. With PrinterLogic and the ability for users to install any printer that they need, our support requests in IT have dwindled to nearly zero. The only thing we really do in IT at this time is to walk them through installing a printer through PrinterLogic if they are new employees.

Vorteile:

The ability for users to install any printer at any time themselves.

Nachteile:

Nothing, PrinterLogic does exactly what we needed in a solution.

Efficient, easy to use

Kommentare: Overall, very happy. We've gone from dozens of helpdesk calls per day to set up printers to zero.

Vorteile:

The ease to add printers, deploy printers, and visually see them gave us everything we needed. Also, being able to deploy those printers without end user intervention was key.

Nachteile:

The location maps feature could use some tweaking, possibly with multiple floor support in one map.

Great Product for Printer Mgmt and Deployment

Kommentare: Overall, I have enjoyed PL, it has given us the ability to manage 100's of printers across sites

PL gives you the ability to remotely support and deploy multiple devices across number locations

Pushing out initial installer was a little cumbersome

Simple and effective product

Vorteile:

It's so convenient to have all of our networked printers and drivers stored in a single location. The fact that it's tied to Active Directory and we can simply assign printers to specific individuals, groups, or computers makes it so easy to deploy printers as needed.

Nachteile:

Everything has been great and we have not had any issues to speak of.

Nachteile:

the issues with finding the right drivers to upload as they need a very specific type and sometimes I am between a rock and a hard place between the manufacterer and printer logic to find the right one or I cant use my printer.
