Kommentare: Ich nutze seit ca. 10 Jahren SnagIT. Mit jeder Version kamen neue Möglichkeiten der Bearbeitung dazu. Ich würde lieber gern analog Microsoft ein Dauerabo einrichten lassen

Bewertung von tollem Werkzeug

Vorteile:

Schnell zum Ergebnis (Screenshot) kommen. Bedingt durch intuitive Bedienung und tolle Funktionen. Tool wird sehr gerne genutzt.

Nachteile:

Bis jetzt keine negativen Dinge aufgetreten.

Snagit, practical software to capture your screen

Kommentare: In general, it is a useful and practical software to use, a person without technical knowledge can learn to use it from the first time, it saves the videos in the cloud and integrates very well with Camtasia.

Vorteile:

I have been using snagit since it was called Jing, then Techsmith capture, in my experience I can say that it is easy and practical to use when recording a screen, its menu is not intrusive, and it can be used with hotkeys to quickly access its functions, it has many ways to capture the screen, you can select a window, a certain area, or the entire window.

Nachteile:

What I don't like is that in a relatively short time, it has changed its name and this tends to cause brand confusion. Another negative aspect is that with certain antiviruses its recording stops, this can be very frustrating, since you don't realize it and you have to start the screen recording again.

This tool has been priceless for the last 10 years

Kommentare: I’ve used it for 10 years and honestly, it has been excellent and I personally have never had a single bug or issue with it for my use whether I was using Mac or Windows. And it’s exactly the same on Mac and Windows so I don’t have to transpose commands.

Vorteile:

I can’t imagine ever working without snag it. It’s better than the free things that come with macro Windows. It’s not only simpler, but it’s also designed to take smaller sections of a screenshot, which is a lot easier to diagram and give a step-by-step procedure then trying to show a whole screen and mark it up with numbers.

Nachteile:

I wish the Mac and PC Came together so I didn’t have to buy one or the other. I may be wrong on that. I don’t recall because I only use a Mac but whenever I have a new client, I insist that they buy a copy of snaggit. I always just moan “ARGH” when I hear a client say why don’t you just use the clipping capability of Windows?

Absolutely love Snagit!

Kommentare: Overall, I'm still in love with the product and if a company I work for won't expense it, I pay for it myself. That's how much I rely on Snagit every day. Whether it's to take a video of a new feature working perfectly to taking a screenshot of my developer's code and pinpointing the `blame`, it's the quickest and easiest platform you could ever use. Juts buy it and go about your day. You won't regret it.

Vorteile:

I've been a user for over 10 years. I wouldn't use another program, no matter the cost or no cost. I love being able to quickly create mock-ups, screenshots, and videos for my profession. I'm in development. So being able to quickly show my team where something went wrong or a copy issue, it's invaluable.

Nachteile:

There are some things lacking. While taking videos, there aren't a lot of things you were able to do until just recently. I think Snagit has been evolving for a long time and they should be further in the development of the product overall. The Snagit library seems to get confused from time to time too. After a restart, all my captures will be in different order. The rolling capture sometimes doesn't want to work. So there are bugs that do need to be addressed.

Good product. Please add 1 feature

Kommentare: Great product because it is quick to use, very helpful to share with colleagues to improve efficiency, and is a reasonable price. If it were just a little less expensive, we could justify it be automatically added to dozens of our other employee to use.

Vorteile:

It is quick and easy to take screenshots and to mark-up and make labels.

Nachteile:

Please add this one function, and your product would be amazing... I know how to tag each image, and how to search for pictures with those tags. I wish your product could filter and find all the images that dont have a label, so I know which images are missing labels so then I can tag it. Also, I wish the editor function would list the images and show which tags are on each image; this would help me tremendously

It's an Amazing design tool overall

Vorteile:

Easy to use. I can also capture almost anything from the website and edit.

Nachteile:

Not many stamps (stickers), shapes, or drawing tools to select and use. Would love to have MORE updated tools to download after paying $$$ for Premium Snagit Assets already.

The powerful package to encourage solutions and training of users!

Kommentare: The ability to create training, job aids, documentation with rich and vibrant imaging and create logos has actually made it fun to use.

Vorteile:

the ability to install and use quickly is the best The simpleness and power of the features provided for screen capture, recording, video recording and even mocking up a new process is unbeatable, I have never used another tool that was this powerful, feature-rich and inexpensive at the same time.

Nachteile:

There were cases where the program would freeze and then quit, but some of that had to do with my workstation. It does not provide the track recording similar to Camtasia, but it is intended to be a quick to publish short video.

Snagit is essential for any business

Kommentare: I've been using it for over 8 years. It's one of my top 5 windows apps.

Vorteile:

I love how fast and easy it us. I use it daily. When I don't have it installed on a machine, that machine becomes so much less effective.

Nachteile:

The UI is sort of Windows XP. It works, that's all I care about.

Essential Documentation Tool

Kommentare: I love Snagit as a documentation, note-taking, and collaboration tool. It enables me to effectively communicate with coworkers with clear, visible screenshots and videos, allows me to be better about documenting processes, and allows for me to retain a backup of notes and screenshots for professional use.

Vorteile:

I enjoy the ability to seamlessly use keybinds to quickly capture images. The built in tools allow me to mark up and create excellent, professional documentation.

Nachteile:

I dislike that I am unable to add text to videos natively.

By far, the best there is

Kommentare: I found SnagIt while working at another firm about 10 years ago and I've made sure that it was available for me to use in my successive positions. I also purchased my own version for home use. It's the only program for screen capture IMO. Nothing else compares.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, no need to read a book first -- load, launch and go to work.

Nachteile:

Would like a default setting for use so if I switch in order to record video, my next launch will start out back to screen recording.

The Ultimate Picture Editing Tool

Kommentare: I think Snagit overall is an amazing tool and definitely worth picking up.

Vorteile:

I love the ease of use for Snagit. The screenshot tool is very easy to set up and then use. Once the picture is taken, the image editing tools available, such as color changing, blurring, text, and shapes, makes creating training content really fast and simple.

Nachteile:

There are very few cons to SnagIt. Sometimes I struggle with getting the pixels colored exactly as they should, but that's less of a tool thing and more of a skill thing.

Great Tool for Creating Technical Guides

Kommentare: I think its a tool you can use without needing much involvement or support from the snagit team. They host monthly customer webinars you can attend if you need more support with the product but I think it's very easy to use, I taught myself how to use it.

Vorteile:

I use this tool to capture screenshots and software recordings and am able to edit, annotate, and upload images directly into various support center softwares I have used. I like the annotation features to truly showcase what you are trying to show on the screenshot. I like that you can take the entire length of the screen in your screenshot, sometimes the graphic designers on my team need this format to be able to format the screengrab to their content needs.

Nachteile:

It can be buggy -- sometimes when I open the app on my desktop it will not open and I have to use another tool. That can be frustrating when you need to take a screencapture right then.

Excellent Program!

Kommentare: Either way, I think it's a solid program, and customer service is really on top of things. Another thing that hooked me over many other programs is that I could buy this without any subscriptions. Subscriptions do nothing more than keep the companies revenue flowing while continuing to empty your pockets. I highly recommend this program, and would easily choose it again over ANY other program in this price range!

Vorteile:

The simplicity of this program is amazing! Everything is virtually at your fingertips, and for me, it works flawlessly.

Nachteile:

My only complaint is, when I'm recording, I have to switch my audio output from my speakers to my headphones, otherwise, the volume during playback is so low that you have to turn the volume all the way up just to barely hear it. The company had reached out to me about it, but after hours of digging through my system with them, they came to the conclusion that it's because I have my speaker system hooked up to my computer through Optical instead of A/V or HDMI. I'm sorry, but that's a lame excuse!

A lot of features

Kommentare: Definitely a useful and very popular tool. It has nice features, but overall I would prefer a simpler tool that will allow me to be faster with my flow. Snagit looks like a tool that has every possible feature that they could think of, but in the process, they have compromised on the ease to use and the speed. I have used Greenshot and WebRemarks and both seem to be better suited for my needs.

Vorteile:

Snagit offers a lot of features. For every feature that you might need, chances are it is there. If offers different types of screenshots, windows, portions of a window and that is really appreciated.

Nachteile:

I think there are simply too many features. As I mentioned earlier, if the user wants to put an arrow on a screenshot, there are too many steps and too many different options to choose from. As a user, I would like to take the screenshot fast, quickly put few annotations, and share it. I don't want to choose from 100 different arrows, and click 10 times until my arrow is ready.

My most used application

Kommentare: Love it! I use it everyday. It is my 2nd memory.

By far the best product for taking screenshots. The way you can add a caption and draw arrows makes it easy for people to understand.

Best screen capture on the market

Kommentare: Overall I like it but the filename issue and the save folder issue is just sloppy programming and is affecting my overall satisfaction with the product.

Vorteile:

Snagit is easy to use and can create quick mock-ups or design and conceptual layouts - or do make notes for our developers / support teams on issues related to our online site or technology. We use it every day and it's a critical part of our workflow.

Nachteile:

While there have been numerous enhancements, I keep hoping that Techsmith will fix two blatant UI issues / bug but after a long time of waiting (more than a year) it hasn't and it drives me crazy. The first is that Snagit does NOT remember where I have JUST opened the file to edit. So I often blindly save the file back only to discover that it has been saved into a completely different folder. This should be simple. If I have JUST opened an image from folder "X", then surely I want the new image I have just worked on also saved into folder "X"?? The second issue is that if you are saving the image in Snagit (as a JPEG as an example) , it will ALWAYS add an extra extension int he name. So, if you select the file to be ".jpg" (even if you delete everything in the filename field) it will make the file type to be ".jpg.jpg" so you always have to correct it!!

Does a lot and helps minimize software sprawl

Kommentare: Great product, and an obvious add-on to anyone using TechSmith's other products, especially Camtasia. Some people don't need the advanced functionality offered by Snagit and will do okay with a free and open-source capture tool. But as soon as they need more than free and open-source can give them, they should migrate to Snagit.

Vorteile:

Biggest pro is that Snagit is easy to use without sacrificing quality. You can get great capture with almost no effort at all and a minimum amount of brainpower. Options are easy to understand and won't send you to documentation in order to decipher them. I also appreciate the depth of annotation options available right at the moment you get an image capture. It's more than enough for simple image sharing amongst teams, but even someone like an e-learning designer or technical writer will find value in it because they can annotate without having to go to a separate image editing program.

Nachteile:

Snagit's UI is split across two different elements -- a tiny rectangular widget and a larger, full-screen window. This can be confusing to some users, especially those who aren't already familiar with the idea. Also, because Snagit is responsive and customizable, it's possible to start a capture and then realize your settings are wrong because you previously changed them. Again, might take some getting used to.

Generally, an excellent product but tech support is problematic

Vorteile:

It is excellent at capturing all or part of a screen and then extracting the text from that image as well as a great screen capture tool.Being able to capture panorama and vertical scrolls on Chrome anyway, is great.The plus is it's a good video screen capture tool for doing explanier videos, etc.

Nachteile:

Tech support is substandard for anything but simple fixes. You can get the easy stuff resolved easily. But if you have a real tech issue, prepare to be ignored.Several of us, (Check their user Help Blog) have had ongoing problems with not having the "Do not capture Cursor" on video to work. It's been a problem for at least 2 years and it is still not fixed. The button is there and works for some but not others.You send in a trouble ticket and it's never answered, you send in debug files they want, crickets. I don't care if they can't fix the problem, just say so. Not communicating on a ticket that is open is inexcusable.

Instructional Designer Must Have Tool

Kommentare: I was exposed to Snagit via my work environment but found myself quickly purchasing it for my personal use. I cannot stress enough that this tool is essential to my day-to-day life.

Must-have tool

Vorteile:

I don't even know where to start! It is CRITICAL to my work flow and one of the first software I install on any of my computers. Allows to quickly annotate but also edit images. And I cannot overstate how helpful it is to have a functional and automatically categorized library of screenshots/videos.

Nachteile:

The UI does look a bit dated but it is functional.

A great tool for a lot of small tasks

Kommentare: This is a great product that I use every single day and it’s so easy to use and incredibly good value for the price. I always recommend it to new Product people that I’m working with.

Vorteile:

This product makes it really easy to do captures of on screen material. I use it for sharing information about how to design new software or improve existing software. The annotation tools make it really easy to capture and then indicate to developers what I’m trying to talk about.

Nachteile:

One drawback is that using it as frequently as I do creates a lot of files. I don’t take the time to organize them so they are just in the library organized by date. This actually works pretty well, but it would be nice if I didn’t have hundreds and hundreds of disorganized files to sort through only by date.

Can't do my job without Snagit

Kommentare: Overall, this is a product that I cannot do my job without. I will continue to purchase Snagit for the ease of use and value for the money.

Vorteile:

It's easy to initiate a screen capture with custom shortcuts. Once captured, the image editing tools are robust. I particularly like the cutout tool, but I use almost all of them and have no complaints in that regard. I create educational materials for my job, and I wouldn't be able to do it without Snagit. I became so used to using it at my previous job that when my new employer wouldn't pay for it, I paid out of pocket to continue to be able to use it. It's an invaluable tool for my job.

Nachteile:

I tend to use Camtasia rather than Snagit for recording and editing videos because the video editing features in Snagit are not sufficient for my needs.

A good tool to have for your screenshots and screen recording needs

Vorteile:

Works on Windows and Mac alike. Wide range of tools for annotation and image editing. Screen recording with system audio capture is a great value.

Nachteile:

Really, can't complain. It does whatever I need it to do.
