A Beautiful and Comprehensive email client aimed at people who appreciate aestetics

Kommentare: Flodesk was used as an email client to create automations and sales sequences for various groups of people from new contacts, to those specifically interested in a product or offering that I had available.

Vorteile:

Although the style of Flodesks templates are not very diverse, they are extremely beautiful and its easy to create professional and creative looking email messages. I also love how seamlessly everything works together, from contacts, to lists, to campaigns and automations. The User experience is impeccable, logical and easy to follow.

Nachteile:

As much as I personally love the look of Flodesk emails, I think that they could offer more diverse designs that appeal to more people

Simple, elegant email marketing & lead magnet

Kommentare: I love the ease of user experience, the templates, options for lead magnets and overall customization, functionality and simplicity.

Vorteile:

They have a beautiful, simple and clean aesthetic for many of their templates. They are always adding new features. The price is great because I bought from an affiliate. I can use lead magnets easily and even set up event page automations to enroll people and process payments with a Zapier connection. My emails are displayed in an easy to read and access homepage. I know there is much more I could be utilizing with benefit!

Nachteile:

At this point, it’s mostly been great. Sometimes the lead magnet pages are not as optimized on mobile view.

Great, but needs development

Kommentare: Great on the surface, definitely beats mailchimp in simplicity and getting the job done BUT once you start using it, you find that some functionalities are either missing or not good enough.

Vorteile:

The minimalist design is spot on - it really is unique. The fact that they charge a flat fee regardless of # of subscribers is also rare for the USPs. Overall I like their simple approach to the software and email sending and that it's easy to figure out how it works.

Nachteile:

It's very much still a tool in development. A lot of technical functionalities are not yet in place or are not fully developed, such as AB testing, dynamic content, advanced and custom segmentation, and overall ability to make it more your own. They have a big community and lots of requests for new features that they are actively working on (which is great to see) but sometimes, as an email marketer, I find the functionalities lacking and wouldn't recommend the tool for someone with complex needs and audiences.

Great Small Business Email Software

Kommentare: Flodesk has allowed us to save several hundred dollars a year on email marketing + spend less time designing emails than we did formerly. As a newer software, its not quite as robust as competitors like Mailchimp, but works perfectly well for small and medium businesses.

Vorteile:

Affordability, more template, font, and email customization options over competitors

Nachteile:

Market segmentation, automation, and reporting isn't as robust as it could be

Perfect for beautiful design lovers, but is not built for e-commerce !

Kommentare: There's no way to track the revenue generated by an e-mail campaign.
No matter how many times I synchronize Flodesk with Shopify, there are always problems. And finally, I've concluded that Flodesk is for lovers of beautiful colors and design.

Vorteile:

Simplicity of use. The beauty of the platform, the fonts that stand out from the crowd. The ability to customize the color of social media icons, and much more.

Nachteile:

Flodesk is not designed for e-commerce. That's the main reason why I left this platform.

Loved Flodesk, until we needed Flodesk

Kommentare: Started well, but even with multiple brands with Flodesk accounts, when we needed Flodesk, they let us down continually. We really like Flodesk, but the brand is unreliable.

Vorteile:

Cost and design of Flodesk is very attractive.

Nachteile:

Entirely unreliable and increasingly problematic customer service. Flodesk emails seem to be a good way to cause problems with your email domain.

Flodesk is easy, creates beautiful emails, and isn't as pricey as some platforms

Kommentare: I really enjoyed the easy of Flodesk, the templates are great out of the box, but the ability to establish brand colors for buttons and add a logo that's saved in the program just make updating those really great. I definitely recommend as along as you have the money to spend.

Vorteile:

The ease with which you can create automated campaigns was AMAZING. Also for plug and play email templates you actually had a good amount of control. It was fast to be able to make great looking emails in my brand colors.

Nachteile:

Honestly there was little I didn't like other than the price. It still isn't as expensive as some platforms (like ConvertKit) but if you aren't regularly getting people signing up for your email list it could feel like a waste. I had a client who initially signed up who ended up changing to Substack because the options on there that are offered for free are actually quite amazing.

Beautiful designed for creative marketers!

Kommentare: Overall, I do love Flodesk. Beautiful designs. Easy to use. Super affordable. Great customer service. But eventually, I probably will need to use something a little more robust when it comes to reporting, sales pages, check out/payment pages etc. Right now it's great for a weekly email email, but I think they will need to add a few more advanced features for the advanced markerters.

Vorteile:

I love everything about Flodesk...The template designs are absolutely gorgeous and easy to edit to make the visual aesthetic on brand. It's really easy to use because of it's simplicity, but of course that means that there are a few things missing (in comparison to other email marketing services). But I definitely recommend Flodesk to a newbie when it comes to email marketing as it's very easy to set-up and get started.

Nachteile:

So Flodesk now offers sales pages and "payment/check-out" forms/pages but they don't give you the option to select what currency. What I liked least about this is that they made it default to your country and in my instance this does not work as I am based in Australia but I charge in USD. That is how my whole business is set up as I serve mostly USA/Canada-based clients and so I couldn't use this feature (after spending hours setting up a beautiful sales page and check out etc.)

Unlimited segmenting!!! Makes my life so much easier and means I don’t spam my audience.

Can’t look at my scheduled emails in a calendar layout which I would prefer.

The Slowest Account "Review" Process, Impossible List Compliance Standards, Worst Customer Service!

Kommentare: Most frustrating marketing platform experience of my life. Not because the product is simple to use but because the setup and service were a complete failure. I've never felt less valued as a customer by any marketing tool, in digital marketing, time and money. This has been over a month of my business effectiveness and time-wasting that I never get back.

Vorteile:

Nothing. It's been over a month, and my account is still "unverified" After being told my extensive email list is "unserviceable," - no other email marketing platform has ever rejected my contact list. Be expected to provide a time stamp and blood sample of every contact linked to every campaign you've ever done to prove you have permission to email your list.

Nachteile:

Service, Response Time and Solutions. I must have emailed support a dozen times, with less than three replies and zero follow-up after the initial outreach. An auto-responder emailed me, "This is our third and final attempt to complete your set-up," threatening to cancel my subscription. After completing all the steps, including deleting my entire list and verifying my domains... my account is STILL under review a month later.

flodesk lover

i have no design skills so i LOVE that flodesk has beautiful designs already uploaded and they are SO easy to use and customize.

Nachteile:

no cons :) it’s all so beautiful and i absolutely love crafting emails now

Easy to use and such a beautiful platform

Kommentare: I have been using Flodesk for over a year now and I've had such an amazing experience using it. I've helped people set it up and learn to use it and it's so simple to use and still quite robust for the price point. I highly recommend it.

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to design anything beautifully in Flodesk. Working with clients who don't have a background in marketing, but who need to market to grow their business need something that's easy to use. Flodesk is the only email service provider I recommend to them and they all love it.

Nachteile:

I don't have any complaints about the software. I think I'd love for them to continue to add more segmentation options and the ability to add people back into a workflow at any time.

I love how intuitive the platform is, especially when designing emails. My website design clients love it too! The fixed pricing makes it incredible value and I recommend it to everyone.

Nachteile:

Some clients have found it difficult to move their lists over from previous providers due to the quality checks that need to be done, and support can be slow to respond to help on this.

What I like most about Flodesk is how easy it is to use and how beautiful the email templates are!

Nachteile:

What I like least about Flodesk is that I can't customize the link to share my landing page with others, it's quite long.

Flodesk is Great, but could add some features

Vorteile:

I absolutely LOVE the flodesk forms. I always put my freebies together and use the flodesk forms to distribute the freebies. I also create waitlists on Flodesk forms too. The platform is easy to use and VERY beginning user-friendly. Finally, I love that Flodesk asks you at least 3 times of you're ready to send the emails and gives you the option to "undo" for a few seconds before actually going through with sending off the emails.

Nachteile:

There are only three cons, in my opinion. A) There aren't any capabilities that allow you to test subject lines B) There isn't a way to organize segments or forms. This makes it hard when I'm looking for specific segments C) I don't like that I have to create a new segment when starting a new workflow and add people to a new segment for a workflow to work. I wish I could just add an existing segment to a workflow

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY

Kommentare: I am proud to say my business complies with all international laws on email marketing and anti-spam. I set up with Flodesk and things were moving smoothly. Until I tried sending a newsletter out to my user base. With out any prior warning (I've triple-checked), Flodesk told me that my account was flagged and that they would be sending an email to me asking to provide information to ensure I was compliant. That email never came. I had to email-blast customer support and even tweet them to ask what was going on. They replied back with one line "we reviewed your account and can no longer service your account". Asked for context or if I can provide proof. Nothing. I was ghosted. Tried reaching out to support again via email, same one-line response. A compliant user, my account was closed and I was never told why. They did inform me that I was banned for life (not just my company but ME, like, what if I start a new venture and want to use the tool? NOPE. Banned for life.) What's even worse is that in customer service's replies to me, they seem to take pleasure in it. My schedule turned upside down because of this. I have to rebuild from scratch and I'm trying not to pull the rest of my hair out here. Just in case I get a reply to this review: all of what I have said happened within the last week. No, never had repeated warnings like you have told other users they received. I AM compliant with your terms of use, I combed through it in my free time (how fun).

Vorteile:

I loved everything about Flodesk. Would have been a customer for life. No other tool has better templates or UX. Too bad they throw users under the bus. If I wasn't enraged by my experience with the company, I'd be singing its praises. Instead, I'm trying to make sure no one I know will go through the experience I did. Stay away from Flodesk and your life will be easier (and less likely to need anger management classes).

Nachteile:

Literally, EVERYTHING. They have the world's worst customer support. I have had to make a big stink about anything to even get a reply. When I get a reply, they are rude and condescending. It's worth infinite amounts of money and time setting up with one of their competitors to not go through that headache again.

Terrible Customer Service

Kommentare: Terrible. We regret spending two years using their platform to grow because now we cannot send emails and we have to start fresh on another platform and re-warm our audience.

Vorteile:

Nice, easy-to-use templates. Nice designs. When it works it works well.

Nachteile:

There is no customer service. They will send you canned responses and not help resolve your issues. After two years of building our email list and having 30-60% open rates on our email, they shut down our account without notice and wouldn't explain why. We tried to resolve the issue and when we did, they wouldn't let us import CSVs any more. They don't care if you'll unsubscribe or the impact their failing product has on your business.

I love Flodesk!

Kommentare: Flodesk made it easy for me to get started with email marketing. While I'm aware of free options out there, I continue to stick with Flodesk because I'm so happy with it (and I got in on the beta pricing, so it's a great deal).

Vorteile:

I joined Flodesk near the beginning of their beta period so the features were very basic so it made it easy to use and learn the new features as they rolled out. I love the beautiful templates they provide and their unique system of using segments instead of tags.

Nachteile:

There have been some glitchy things and features missing, but that's to be expected during beta when they're still developing it. I really haven't had any major complaints and any questions or issues I've had have been answered by support.

Beautiful templates and attractive price, but limited features

Kommentare: While I really loved Flodesk's process of allowing us to create beautiful emails fast, their lack of features and integrations with other tools did not make it a viable solution for me. I would recommend it to those who are just starting out and don't need as much advanced features, but for those who need a serious email marketing platform I would probably recommend you take a look at some other options.

Vorteile:

Flodesk has the most aesthetic email templates I've seen among all popular email marketing services. It's also very easy to use their email editor to customize the templates to your needs. The flat rate pricing is also a very attractive offer so if you have a large email list, switching over to Flodesk will save a lot of money.

Nachteile:

The biggest drawback of Flodesk is the lack of flexibility. It is still a new and growing service, and unfortunately it is quite slow at progressing. Because of this, what you can accomplish with Flodesk can be quite limiting - especially if you need more advanced automations or you need integrations with other platforms and tools. For example, the only way to integrate with other tools that you your business through is with Flodesk's one sole integration with Zapier. This is probably the biggest con, since trying to use Zapier for every task can get very expensive quickly.

Beautiful for email marketing

Its landing pages are very basic, hope they were more interactive and complete.

The most that I like about this software is the ease of use and how simple/customizable it is. It actually feels similar to creating within my website. And they’re continually updating!

Nachteile:

The workflow creation and management is a little tricky and not the easiest to edit once it is already created!

Easy to use email software for small business

Kommentare: I love Flodesk - especially how easy it was to set up - but I do miss more integrations and feel that they should be more open to other software solutions outside of Zapier.

Vorteile:

It's easy to use, easy to learn, and easy to set up. Emails look gorgeous.

Nachteile:

there's a lack of integrations with other software solutions. There's no public API and your only option for atomization is Zapier, a very pricey software. Also would like to see an easier way of creating branded emails.

Re-inspired my email marketing

Vorteile:

Flodesk makes it easy for me to send out beautiful, branded emails to my audience that they love. I was feeling burned out on email marketing and Flodesk’s designs and ease of use re-inspired me. And my audience appreciated and often responds to my emails. And my open rates have tripled since switching to Flodesk.

Nachteile:

I have very few complaints about Flodesk. With any software that is new-ish, there may be some growing pains or glitches, but I personally have never had any issues with my sending/creating of emails to my list.

It's pricing strategy is very affordable and tempting if you're someone just starting out. The interface is minimalistic.

Nachteile:

Not many integrations at the moment of writing this review. That's why I moved over from them, cause I couldn't link it with other software, without using Zapier.
