A Beautiful and Comprehensive email client aimed at people who appreciate aestetics

Kommentare: Flodesk was used as an email client to create automations and sales sequences for various groups of people from new contacts, to those specifically interested in a product or offering that I had available.

Vorteile:

Although the style of Flodesks templates are not very diverse, they are extremely beautiful and its easy to create professional and creative looking email messages. I also love how seamlessly everything works together, from contacts, to lists, to campaigns and automations. The User experience is impeccable, logical and easy to follow.

Nachteile:

As much as I personally love the look of Flodesk emails, I think that they could offer more diverse designs that appeal to more people

Great Small Business Email Software

Kommentare: Flodesk has allowed us to save several hundred dollars a year on email marketing + spend less time designing emails than we did formerly. As a newer software, its not quite as robust as competitors like Mailchimp, but works perfectly well for small and medium businesses.

Vorteile:

Affordability, more template, font, and email customization options over competitors

Nachteile:

Market segmentation, automation, and reporting isn't as robust as it could be

Small learning curve but worth it for the savings!

Much cheaper than Mailchimp while not compromising any quality!

There was a bit of a learning curve, especially with the design aspect. Took a little while to learn but overall was worth it.

Great, but needs development

Kommentare: Great on the surface, definitely beats mailchimp in simplicity and getting the job done BUT once you start using it, you find that some functionalities are either missing or not good enough.

Vorteile:

The minimalist design is spot on - it really is unique. The fact that they charge a flat fee regardless of # of subscribers is also rare for the USPs. Overall I like their simple approach to the software and email sending and that it's easy to figure out how it works.

Nachteile:

It's very much still a tool in development. A lot of technical functionalities are not yet in place or are not fully developed, such as AB testing, dynamic content, advanced and custom segmentation, and overall ability to make it more your own. They have a big community and lots of requests for new features that they are actively working on (which is great to see) but sometimes, as an email marketer, I find the functionalities lacking and wouldn't recommend the tool for someone with complex needs and audiences.

The most beautiful ESP for solopreneurs

Vorteile:

The most aesthetically pleasing ESP out there! Every template they offer for emails, landing pages, and forms are so beautiful. SUPER easy to use, and perfect if you just need a basic ESP that isn't MailChimp.

Nachteile:

Could use more advanced features, like advanced workflows, tagging, more custom form fields.

Simple, elegant email marketing & lead magnet

Kommentare: I love the ease of user experience, the templates, options for lead magnets and overall customization, functionality and simplicity.

Vorteile:

They have a beautiful, simple and clean aesthetic for many of their templates. They are always adding new features. The price is great because I bought from an affiliate. I can use lead magnets easily and even set up event page automations to enroll people and process payments with a Zapier connection. My emails are displayed in an easy to read and access homepage. I know there is much more I could be utilizing with benefit!

Nachteile:

At this point, it’s mostly been great. Sometimes the lead magnet pages are not as optimized on mobile view.

Loved Flodesk, until we needed Flodesk

Kommentare: Started well, but even with multiple brands with Flodesk accounts, when we needed Flodesk, they let us down continually. We really like Flodesk, but the brand is unreliable.

Vorteile:

Cost and design of Flodesk is very attractive.

Nachteile:

Entirely unreliable and increasingly problematic customer service. Flodesk emails seem to be a good way to cause problems with your email domain.

Perfect for beautiful design lovers, but is not built for e-commerce !

Kommentare: There's no way to track the revenue generated by an e-mail campaign.
No matter how many times I synchronize Flodesk with Shopify, there are always problems. And finally, I've concluded that Flodesk is for lovers of beautiful colors and design.

Vorteile:

Simplicity of use. The beauty of the platform, the fonts that stand out from the crowd. The ability to customize the color of social media icons, and much more.

Nachteile:

Flodesk is not designed for e-commerce. That's the main reason why I left this platform.

Great solution and really competitive price

Kommentare: Really good, delivery rate is the same as our previous provider and template formatting works well on the devices we’ve tried.

Vorteile:

It is so much better priced than competitors, I can send multiple emails per month without worrying about it costing too much.

Nachteile:

Its template designer is good, but there’s no as many e-commerce / app templates .

The Most Beautiful Email Marketing Templates

Kommentare: It's probably the most beautiful email marketing platform out there for creators who put brand identity first and want to make a lasting impression.

Vorteile:

For exquisite email templates this product is hands down at the top of their game. They put design out there front and centre, making it extremely easy to send really beautiful emails with very little design effort.

Nachteile:

You eventually have to pay if you want to grow, but the price is high on Flodesk. The workflows aren't as robust as I would like and email segmentation appears to have limitations also.

This software is so good it's almost unbelievable.

Vorteile:

I've used 3 other email campaign softwares and Flodesk is superior by far. The emails look 10x more beautiful and professional, and Flodesk is less than half the price of the other software I've used in the past.

Nachteile:

I wish there were more forums in Flodesk, however, they just added 5 new forums and I'm sure there are more to come.

Customer Support and Subscriber Uploading NOT worth it

Kommentare: I really wanted this to be an answer to so many of my problems with email marketing.

Vorteile:

I switched to this platform for its functionality. At first it was absolutely worth it-- I loved getting to customize my emails and manipulate them with ease of design and layout.

Nachteile:

I was unable to upload my subscriber list and could not get anyone to help. I wrote in their facebook support group and my posts were deleted TWICE when I was requesting help. I can't send emails without a subscriber list.

Found a gem!!

I LOVE how I can customize already made templates for emails! I can style them to my brand and I love the way it looks! So glad I found this!

Nachteile:

I’m a little unsure how to automatically activate these emails so it’ll send on its own once someone subscribes but I just recently opened an account so I know it’ll just take some getting to know the program.

I Finally Am Happy With My Newsletter Provider

Kommentare: I'm very happy with Flodesk, after trying about a half a dozen other newsletter providers that either didn't work well, or that were too expensive.

Vorteile:

I had used many others before. For one, Flodesk offers unlimited for a single monthly fee that more than reasonable. For another, they don't throttle the emails, and allows me to make many segments. It's also easy to customize the email templates.

Nachteile:

The one issue I don't like is they only allow 2 from emails. I use a generic one with "Author Newsletter" in the from field to be able to use it with multiple lists.

Flodesk looks nice, lacks features competitors have

Flodesk has some of the prettiest templates out there.

Nachteile:

Flodesk is missing some of the monetization avenues competitors have and other features.

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY

Kommentare: I am proud to say my business complies with all international laws on email marketing and anti-spam. I set up with Flodesk and things were moving smoothly. Until I tried sending a newsletter out to my user base. With out any prior warning (I've triple-checked), Flodesk told me that my account was flagged and that they would be sending an email to me asking to provide information to ensure I was compliant. That email never came. I had to email-blast customer support and even tweet them to ask what was going on. They replied back with one line "we reviewed your account and can no longer service your account". Asked for context or if I can provide proof. Nothing. I was ghosted. Tried reaching out to support again via email, same one-line response. A compliant user, my account was closed and I was never told why. They did inform me that I was banned for life (not just my company but ME, like, what if I start a new venture and want to use the tool? NOPE. Banned for life.) What's even worse is that in customer service's replies to me, they seem to take pleasure in it. My schedule turned upside down because of this. I have to rebuild from scratch and I'm trying not to pull the rest of my hair out here. Just in case I get a reply to this review: all of what I have said happened within the last week. No, never had repeated warnings like you have told other users they received. I AM compliant with your terms of use, I combed through it in my free time (how fun).

Vorteile:

I loved everything about Flodesk. Would have been a customer for life. No other tool has better templates or UX. Too bad they throw users under the bus. If I wasn't enraged by my experience with the company, I'd be singing its praises. Instead, I'm trying to make sure no one I know will go through the experience I did. Stay away from Flodesk and your life will be easier (and less likely to need anger management classes).

Nachteile:

Literally, EVERYTHING. They have the world's worst customer support. I have had to make a big stink about anything to even get a reply. When I get a reply, they are rude and condescending. It's worth infinite amounts of money and time setting up with one of their competitors to not go through that headache again.

Inexpensive, great design but lacking in functionality

Vorteile:

It is an economical choice for email marketing and you can design great looking emails quickly

Nachteile:

It only allows simple automation which the majority on online businesses will outgrow very quickly

Impossible to get live

Kommentare: During a process of reviewing our email platforms we were recommended Flodesk. We immediately signed up and built some flows.
Before going live we were required to prove our opt-ins, which they ask for in a file that isn't protected. They ask this to prove opt-in which we have provided, however after 3 weeks we got nowhere and the account want cancelled.
During this time the account the person who recommended us Flodesk was also cancelled (which was being used to send transactional emails). She had been using the platform for months and has received o support or confirmation her clients data has been deleted. The risk is way too high for any business that relies on emails as a marketing medium. We will be continuing with one of the major providers. Potetially good for businesses that have very small email lists.

Vorteile:

Simple interface makes creating journies easy, great price

Nachteile:

Setup: getting customer service to approve your account and email lists they ask for very private data for every record, but still don't approve...

It really is a public access BETA

Kommentare: I'm neutral about my Flodesk experience. The two issues I've mentioned have left a very negative aftertaste, but compared to the costs of other services for what you get, it may be worth putting up with them to save money.

Vorteile:

Flodesk allows you to create beautiful emails with their templates or drag-and-drop options. The pricing is very lucrative for users given it includes unlimited users and emails. If you can find a user to give you a referral code, it becomes even better at 50% off the published rate for life.

Nachteile:

I have two issues with Flodesk. First, they have expanded beyond their ability to provide good customer service. Any time you upload a new list of users, you must send in your opt-in records to their compliance team for them to verify they actually signed up "to protect your sender reputation." They promise a 48 business hour turn around but in truth, it can take weeks. Meanwhile, they suspend your ability to send any emails to anyone who was already listed. The second issue is their lack of customization. While the emails you can create look good, they limit what you can do to fully customize them. They choose to focus on optimizing the editing tools instead of allowing customization.

I like it so far...

Kommentare: Overall I am happy with Flodesk. I know they are a new company and are still developing their features. I have so far had an easy set up experience and I do absolutely love their designs and the ease of use of my brand colors.

Vorteile:

So far, only about a month in, my favorite part is the design. I don't think it's possible to make an ugly email with flodesk! The set up was easy and I didn't run into any tech glitches personally. I like the unique font choices and template layouts! I love that I could upload my brand colors and logo and they are easy to find and easy to use in the designer.

Nachteile:

I was actually suprised there weren't more features. I signed on because I was told they were a highly customizable platform. In reality, when you are working with their layouts, while they are beautiful you have no ability to adjust photo placement or size which I thought was odd. I also haven't had any personal tech glitches but from forums I looked through it seems like others have had a lot of problems and that customer service isn't always easy to deal with. Finally, I don't like that I can't give multiple users access to the same account.

Flodesk is the easiest email service provider out there

Kommentare: I have loved how involved the founders have been throughout their entire time in beta. They have listened, implemented and changed the platform to be what their members need. I have loved Flodesk!

Vorteile:

When I started using Flodesk, I had a small email list and truly had no idea if Flodesk would do what I needed if my list grew. Within a year, I had 5,000+ people to my email list with ease. My email subscribers love getting beautiful emails from me week after week and they won’t increase their pricing with the amount of subscribers you gain.

Nachteile:

They are still tweaking functions. They will need to find a way to segment subscribers within specific emails versus workflows, expand on calendar organization and how to have all the functions of workflows within individual emails. I have no doubt they they will constantly add value to the platform in the future.

Onboarding was complicated at first as learning any new software is. Once you get the hang of the layout and UI it's lovely.
