Vorteile:

Wer Apple nutzt kommt kaum an iMovie vorbei, da es kostenlos zur Verfügung steht. Für den grundlegenden Videoschnitt ist die Plattform vollkommen ausreichend. Es können verschiedene Übergänge eingefügt werden und Bild von Ton getrennt werden. Dateien lassen sich leicht einfügen und gut bearbeiten.

Nachteile:

Der Export in andere Dateiformate ist sehr langwierig und beansprucht mitunter die komplette Leistungsfähigkeit des Macbooks.

Keeping in my editing arsenal for my online business

Kommentare: I use iMovie weekly for my content editing needs, and have no desire to learn a new editing software! It works great for me and integrates my audio, video, transitions, and text elements cohesively and easily.

Vorteile:

iMovie is a great jumping off point to learn how to edit content. It's relatively user friendly and once you get the hang of it you can go quite quickly.

Nachteile:

I have found it at times difficult to get help on using certain features and have had to spend time googling outside sources for tutorials.

Great free casual movie maker

Kommentare: Overall, the experience is good if I am trying to make a quick movie that is not necessarily professional. There are many instances where this is great. However, if I wanted to make a professional video for a company, then I need to use a more robust program.

Vorteile:

If you are casually making videos this program is perfect. You can use your device to do all parts of the video creation including capturing content, editing, and exporting.

Nachteile:

Using your device to make a lot of edits can become cumbersome due to the small size of your device. It also does not have as many functions as paid versions of video editors.

iMovie ahead

Kommentare: Exactly what I searched for Video editing for my reels and Music video on my YouTube channel. It requires such a good computer to work with but it's worth of it

Vorteile:

It is a very good alternative to Adobe Première Pro

Nachteile:

I say nothing because have all the things it needs to work with video/audio editing

Processing time is a bit slower than others and I wish there was an easier way to create portrait size videos instead of the multi-step process I’ve been doing.

Vorteile:

I love how it is compatible from all major Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This allows me to start editing a file on my iPad, I can edit it later on my iPhone when I'm on the go, and then I can finish it off and export it off of my Mac.

Nachteile:

The features are lacking when compared to other video editing software, but this is understandable because the software is included with Apple products and is compatible with such a wide variety of devices.

Move Over To iMovie

Kommentare: I enjoy posting videos for work related events, along with personal moments: the software allows me to be creative and often already knows what I need before I even knew I needed it to be aesthetically pleasing. The functionalities provide a very professional end result when it comes to making videos for social media posts. The software can also be integrated with marketing our brand.

The user can easily understand how to use the software, even as a first time user: The integrations are simple to comprehend and doesn’t need much time to become acclimated with utilizing the app.

Nachteile:

I have not yet found any issues with using the software

Great video editing for casual users

Kommentare: I think it is great if you're a casual user. It can be used to edit many format of videos. I haven't tried editing with 4k yet as it is too heavy to my hardware. There are so many export options available too! Lastly, it is free, so I won't be picky too much on this. Frankly speaking, it is the best freeware compared to Windows video editing freeware.

Vorteile:

- All essentials are provided to casual users. - Easy to use. - It is FREE.

Nachteile:

- Professional might need something more than these. - Lacks of modern/trendy templates. - Titles are not draggable/moveable. - Laggy playback during editing on my 2015's Macbook (8GB ram) too. - Only Mac OS supported.

A Great Tool for Apple Users

Kommentare: iMovie has been awesome for helping me to professionally edit my videos. While I wish it were easier to overlay the video with photos/graphics, I do think it is great how you can cut the video frame by frame. Unfortunately, once you have finished editing your content, you can expect a long upload time to your social media platforms.

Vorteile:

iMovie does a great job at allowing users to edit their videos by separating audio, video, and easily allowing adjustments at a frame-by-frame basis.

Nachteile:

I feel iMovie does a great job for professional video editing, but compared to other video editing tools, it is much more difficult to overlay the video with photos and graphics. It also takes a long time to transport finished videos to social media platforms.

I just wish I could work on everything in a cloud or onlibe instead of taking up room on my laptop. The files can get large.

Complex tool

Kommentare: I used iMovie to make short promotional films for my company. It did the job but I had trouble using it and had to re do the whole thing multiple times. But it may very well be due to my incompetence in making films !

Ease of use, you can create/edit videos so smoothly and easily, I havent seen a video editor as simple (yet effective) as iMovie

Nachteile:

Maybe missing some functionalities that exist in Adobe Premiere Pro - video stabilization, noise cancellation

If you are not professional, iMovie is the best way to learn and to do your amateur videos

Kommentare: My first experience with any video editing software was with iMovie and it was very easy and organic to use, everything was just spontaneous and logical. Once you do your first 20-25 videos, you feel like you want to do some new transitions or effects that in iMovie is just impossible to do

It is just beautiful and easy to use, it has many features for your amateur creations and again, it is easy and it feels like your learning path is organic

Nachteile:

It has less features and characteristics than other softwares like Final Cut Pro or Adobre Premier which are more professionals and the use of RAM and space is less compatible and difficult to manage with iMovie

Kommentare: Overall experience with iMovie is very much positive. There are a lot paid softwares that don't offer nearly half as much as iMovie does. The quality of your videos doesn't suffer a lot and generally helps your simple editing well. I can recommend iMovie to anybody who doesn't need professional level editing tools!

With iMovie the most obvious positive thing is its price - free! For a free app iMovie brings you a lot of tools to help you create whatever you want! I've personally used iMovie for my drum and guitar covers and it suits my needs very well. You can add separate tracks of audio to your video very easily. Overall experience is very smooth and the app functions properly. Your work is safe with iMovie!

Nachteile:

The only negative thing about iMovie when using a mobile device is that sometimes it's hard to fine tune stuff with your fingers on a smaller screen.

I could make a short video with just the pictures I took on a trip. It has a variety of tools and functions that helped me put together different images with also special effects. And last but not least you can download your video and share it on your social.

Nachteile:

It’s not very easy of use. It’s a bit complicated at the beginning and I spent a lot of time in learning how to manage the different tools. Poor in the variety of music themes.
