Vorteile:

Wer Apple nutzt kommt kaum an iMovie vorbei, da es kostenlos zur Verfügung steht. Für den grundlegenden Videoschnitt ist die Plattform vollkommen ausreichend. Es können verschiedene Übergänge eingefügt werden und Bild von Ton getrennt werden. Dateien lassen sich leicht einfügen und gut bearbeiten.

Nachteile:

Der Export in andere Dateiformate ist sehr langwierig und beansprucht mitunter die komplette Leistungsfähigkeit des Macbooks.

Keeping in my editing arsenal for my online business

Kommentare: I use iMovie weekly for my content editing needs, and have no desire to learn a new editing software! It works great for me and integrates my audio, video, transitions, and text elements cohesively and easily.

Vorteile:

iMovie is a great jumping off point to learn how to edit content. It's relatively user friendly and once you get the hang of it you can go quite quickly.

Nachteile:

I have found it at times difficult to get help on using certain features and have had to spend time googling outside sources for tutorials.

Easy to use, great drag & drop functions, nice little library of free sounds/sound effects.

Nachteile:

Capcut does offer more options (AI subtitles, more color grading options, effects, etc)

Easy to use, yet it lacks features

Kommentare: I used this software to edit my first youtube videos, and i was pretty happy with it until I discovered better editors

It’s simple to use and all of the features are available for free

There are only few effects/transitions to choose for text/video, too little features

iMovie A Tool That Stays Relevant

Kommentare: iMovie is by far the easiest video editing tool I've used. While I wouldn't try editing a feature film with it, it works great for quick edits of social media content.

Vorteile:

I liked the ease of dropping in content to edit by just dragging from my computer.

Nachteile:

It doesn't have all of the professional-level features of some other platforms.

Basic video creation and editing without unnecessary bells and whistles

Kommentare: Most of the videos I make for clients are quite short and do not require more sophisticated features than those offered by iMovie. So, iMovie is the ideal choice, for the most part. For all other instances, I use another video creation tool. Using iMovie makes the process of creating videos quick and easy.

Vorteile:

I love how streamlined the video creation process is in iMovie. Using iMovie makes the creation of simple videos a very quick and painless process.

Nachteile:

There are times when some more sophisticated tools are necessary - say, for colour correction. iMovie is not equipped to handle such tasks, and so it is not always the best tool. However, it is meant to be a video creation product for basic needs and beginners.

Not your typical video editing software!

Kommentare: There is no point in opening a fully-fledged video edting suite on your computer just to make quick edits if you're not working pro in video. iMovie is great for that, and export settings help to share videos easily too.Our clients love to use it because of its simplicity, we love to use it for its efficiency and fast process to a good result, when the task can allow it.

Vorteile:

iMovie is definitely the easiest video editing software to get started with. Without rushing you into pro-minded gibberish, you can make professional looking and engaging videos.Templates is the software's strongest feature. In just a couple of clicks you can customize them to fit your desired results.Its integration with MacOS is pretty much flawless, and does not require a perfect knowledge of your computer to make thing work either.

Nachteile:

It seems to be a very hard thing to make a simple video editing software. Microsoft and Adobe tried and still try to make some worthwhile alternative, but iMovie seems to be the only one who can take a newcomer's ideas and help him produce something fast.Of course it's not Final Cut Pro X, so don't expect nesting, color grading or other professional-level features but still, iMovie makes a great job at being a first dip into what may become a interesting hobby for those who don't own pro video gear.

iMovie user for less tahn 6 months since my macbook broke

Kommentare: Overall experience with iMovie is very much positive. There are a lot paid softwares that don't offer nearly half as much as iMovie does. The quality of your videos doesn't suffer a lot and generally helps your simple editing well. I can recommend iMovie to anybody who doesn't need professional level editing tools!

Vorteile:

With iMovie the most obvious positive thing is its price - free! For a free app iMovie brings you a lot of tools to help you create whatever you want! I've personally used iMovie for my drum and guitar covers and it suits my needs very well. You can add separate tracks of audio to your video very easily. Overall experience is very smooth and the app functions properly. Your work is safe with iMovie!

Nachteile:

The only negative thing about iMovie when using a mobile device is that sometimes it's hard to fine tune stuff with your fingers on a smaller screen.

My Take on iMovie

Kommentare: My experience with iMovie is pleasant and I love using it to make and edit movies. Also, to see other projects from my friends, family, and fellow students/classmates/ and workers.

Vorteile:

I like iMovie where you can watch and make movies of your own creativity and for passions and interests. I like making my own and like to watch what others make.

Nachteile:

The ones is I wish there are more features just like Adobe video editing because more the merrier for good videos and nice standards for sure.

Create your own story, in your own style

Kommentare: When I visit the construction site (for example) and take some pictures of non-conformances, I than create the movie with some epic music which is fun to present to management instead of boring slides and explanation. This practice have a very positive impact on my Management.

Vorteile:

In HSE industry ofent uses clips to show incidents and accidents, however the quality of such short clips is not good. This tool helps me to create a required length video clip with visual and sound effects without requirements of a very complicated computer devices. All you need is iPad.

Nachteile:

The person who is not familiar with iOS, could run in to trouble in using this program. It'll take some more time. Hence the program itself more have entertain purpose instead of professional skill sets, hopefully it'll change.

Complex tool

Kommentare: I used iMovie to make short promotional films for my company. It did the job but I had trouble using it and had to re do the whole thing multiple times. But it may very well be due to my incompetence in making films !

I feel like iMovie is a professional and comprehensive tool for making films or short films.

Honestly I am no professional in movie making and I felt like it was not very intuitive to use.

its relatively basic set of features compared to more advanced video editing software. Maybe is not enought for more complex editing needs.

Best entry video editing platform

Vorteile:

The setup for iMovie is pretty easy and makes video editing fun. The platform is straight to the point and the fact that it is free makes it a great entry level video editing platform.

Nachteile:

Due to the fact that the platform is free, it comes with limited functionality. As a company that does a lot of video promotion, this becomes an issue and we have to incorporate other video editing platforms.

iMovie is wonderful

Vorteile:

If you want to be a YouTuber and not have to pay for editing software, than iMovie is the way to go. Its interface is easy to use and you can easily add music and whatever else you need to add. You can click and drag clips around and easily insert video where you need to. It’s very straightforward and is easy to use.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the updates make it act weird. Sometimes footage isn’t able to be placed into iMovie, but we do the best we can.

Easy Beginner Video Editor

Vorteile:

The thing I like most about iMovie is it delivers very nice videos with not having to have to much experience on how to edit. The ease of use and understanding how to create videos is definitely what I like the most.

Nachteile:

Compared to other movie editor apps, it does not have as many features.

Free Film Editing Service 10/10

Kommentare: Overall my experiences with iMovie have been great considering I am not a professional editor. I tried using iMovie years ago when I started making videos. For free service and beginner level, this is 9/10!

Vorteile:

One of the things I like most about iMovie is that it is free and it’s also available on Apple products. For anyone that may not want to spend money on other film editing software, iMovie is definitely recommended for anyone that loves to edit movies or videos without spending any money.

Nachteile:

One of the things that I dislike about iMovie is the limited options. iMovie offers free software for editing however for someone that wants to professionally edit video as a career or etc, there are plenty of editing software such as Adobe that offers professional services for a fee.

iMovie to iMaculate Conception.

Vorteile:

Amazing software considering it comes free with every Mac. With GarageBand and iPhoto, one has the complete consumer in-house videography studio.The software alone would cost several hundred pounds on a PC and never be as good.

Nachteile:

Templates could be more varied and perhaps make iMovie more powerful like the old Final Cut Express.

Great platform video making and editing

Kommentare: Overall is a great software, amazing that it comes in your Apple device already. Super easy to share with amazing results/quality.

Easy to use, and most self explanatory. Great features for editing and easy to share. If you have multiple apple devices, it’s super easy access and edit from devices, which personally has been super helpful.

Nachteile:

Comparing to other video editing tools, iMovie seems a bit lacking, but could also be because I have used other tools and have not fully gotten used to its features yet.
