Vorteile:

I like how it made our recruitment efforts seamless. gaining more interest from potential students. and it was easy to set up. Afterwards, its nice to monitor on the mobile app.

Nachteile:

the designing of the templates could be more interchangeable. and it is on the pricey side. also the billing was sort of a challenge to figure out. For instance, we were confused about the increase and decrease from month to month because it was basically a yearly plan buy was charged monthly. As a organization that gets audited yearly, we had to explain this finding as we lost track of the changes the first time we used it.

Great product, if you can afford it.

Kommentare: Great a automating the creation of complex documents, but way to expensive for the number of documents you are able to generate, and the number of templates you are able to use. If they dropped the prices by 50% I would consider going back, but it would still be a tough pill to swallow.

Vorteile:

Formstack Documents is one of the most complete and feature rich document generation platforms out there. It is probably the best in terms of features, integrations, conditional logic, etc.

Nachteile:

Formstack Documents is like a Rolls Royce. It will have a tonne of features, looks great, and has impressive specs, but it's way too expensive for most people. When you consider the cost of some alternatives, even if they have fewer options, they are a better option for most people.

Kommentare: Overall, my end users have a good experience with Formstack Documents as we utilise it through Salesforce. Therefore they do not have to experience the pains that I do as an admin. (Webmerge noted below as this was the previous software prior to it being bought by Formstack and converted to Formstack Documents, this i believe is what lead to the account issues mentioned. Support was poor throughout conversion)

Vorteile:

Once setup with your document template you can be confident this product will be fit for purpose. Good level of resources available for understanding document and template creation, ideal to have a software partner to configure in initial instance if no background using merge style fields/software.

Nachteile:

Integration with other formstack products. Still to this day when i login to Formstack i am unable to access all of the different products in my stack without constant errors. As a user of Formstack Forms, Documents & Sign, the ability to switch between the products and utilise the data from the others, is highly lacking. Support for this has also been extremely lacking, appears to be the result of Formstack purchasing other solutions and attempting to integrate within their own.

Kommentare: I am pretty happy with whatever formstack has, as there are very few software companies that offer one in all products at reasonable pricing, and formstack is one of them. Although, they have some limitations in submitting the form but overall the experience is very good by far.

Vorteile:

I have liked the range of fields it offers to be embedded into the forms, the features of designing a form to implementing it on various platforms. I can also customize its templates using CSS to make sure it meets my design needs and it just melts into my website as if it was inbuilt.

Nachteile:

We mostly use formstack for signing up for offers and forms are limited to have submission by emails and it would be great if there would be a submission by number as to one user can only submit one form per mobile number that would reduce the number of requests for the customer service team and also the spamming for us to go through a lot of emails one customer could ever have.

A Powerful, Flexible Platform

Kommentare: We love it. It has opened up a ton of doors for automated processes. We waited for years for a combination of products like Formstack Forms and Formstack Documents that fulfilled all of our use cases.

Vorteile:

The most important aspect of Formstack Documents is how flexible it is. I was looking for something that could check a ton of boxes, and Formstack Documents coupled with the Formstack Forms product enables us to easily ingest data and output attractive documents ready to be presented to customers. The options for output are also extensive, enabling you to push your document to hundreds of different other software products.

Nachteile:

Formstack Documents used to be Webmerge, and while the product was and still is excellent, I'm waiting for them to make the integration between Forms and Documents more seamless. I also wouldn't mind seeing the licensing model change to be per user/designer as opposed to per document.

WebMerge creates clean professional reports. Tech support is great!

Vorteile:

I few years ago our department began using Formstack for yearly performance evaluations. We wanted an on-line solution that was easy to use and produced professional documents. Formstack was easy to use, but the end product was not what we hoped for. I found WebMerge integrated with Formstack very nicely and the software produced an end product that was professional looking and easy to read. We were able to import our logo and arrange the document that worked best for our needs. WebMerge also gave us the capability of forwarding these reports automatically to command staff. We now use WebMerge for Training Requests and to reports incidents, injuries or damage that occurs at our facilities.

Nachteile:

The first templates I created was a little confusing for me as I had no experience with "formulas" or creating templates for importing data fields. Tech support was great and helped me every step of the way.

Kommentare: I would recommend it to everyone especially if you are in the field of recruiting that requires a lot of documents that needs a signature of the candidate. It makes my work so easy, same for the candidates by just clicking the document they can instantly sign the documents.

So far I don't see any problems with Formstack, it has been a great help to recruiters like me especially if we need the candidates to electronically sign a certain documents.

Extremely Valuable Software

Vorteile:

Webmerge has streamlined our business processes and saved us money, increased accuracy, and increased speed. The integrations with docusign make sending contracts out for signature absolutely seamless. In addition, the integration with Zapier makes Webmerge infinitely configurable.

Nachteile:

None, The software is very well designed and is reliable. We have not ran into any issues. Customer service is very prompt, so even if there were any issues, they would be addressed within minutes.

Nachteile:

When using WebMerge for the first time we can find it difficult, it should include better tutorials to become familiar with all its tools. We can try this application for free, but then it is paid and can be expensive in some cases

Vorteile:

It easily integrates with Zapier and our Kintone platform. This allows us to streamline our processes even further; including customer interaction.

Nachteile:

It does require a tad bit of programming to handle attachment fields - but it's certainly not a deal-breaker.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to setup the data capture questions to assist our teams in creating their documents, the software has cut our document completion process from over an hour to approximately 10 minutes per report.

Nachteile:

the merge coding within the documents to begin with, for simple couple of page documents this isn't time consuming, but for larger documents with many data capture points the coding can be very time consuming. Once you have experience creating a document it is much easier.

Makes document creation super easy from the data you already have

Kommentare: Trying to create documents where you need to output a specific option based on the inputs you have is very time-consuming. Formstack take all that away and it's pretty much the only tool that can handle those complex logic paths. Excellent.

Vorteile:

Easy to get started and design your documents the way you want them to look. Pull in the data from multiple sources and it all happens super fast. The Airtable integration makes sit a breeze. The conditional visibility function is incredible for complex document creation based on multiple input options.

Nachteile:

Can be a little expensive and the pricing options can be confusing, but the value it brings to creating large numbers of documents or very complex documents makes it a must-have.

WebMerge has allowed us to completely automate our contract generation process. This has created enormous efficiencies for us and it has become an essential component of our business/sales process.

Kommentare: Automation of document creation from a web form and emailing it to the client. As we can design the template, Webmerge ensures our comms go out with the correct look, feel and branding. The Zapier integration means that the entire process is automated, and doesn't require any manual involvement from us which saves a lot of time.

Vorteile:

Automates tasks that would otherwise be very time consuming and enables you to look brilliant to your clients by instantly sending branded documents. Zapier integration means you don't have to know how to code to set it all up.

Nachteile:

Very minor point as the support will gladly help, but some more visibility of logs on when emails were sent and the delivery logs in the portal would be useful.

WebMerge is user friendly and scales to our needs. Exemplary workflow and document creation. WebMerge provides integration with numerous other software providers. We were pleased to see Adobe EchoSign (now Adobe Document Cloud) among the integrations as this is critical in our workflows. The price is very reasonable and we experienced an immediate return on investment as staff time saved and paper process reduction continues to offset the monthly cost.
CONS
Advanced integration setups that send data in an array or JSON object requires a slight learning curve but support is very quick to respond and clear help documentation is available.
BOTTOM LINE
If you are looking for an efficient and reliable way to merge your data into virtually any document scenario, you should consider WebMerge. A free trial is offered so there is nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Vorteile:

The number of outputs available is valuable (Doc, PPT, PDF) along with the third-party integrations.

Nachteile:

Document builder could have better interface and experience. A drag and drop builder similar to web builders, newsletter software, etc. would be beneficial. As of now, I use WebMerge for a client and am the only one who knows how to use it as there is nobody else in the company who can code.

We use WebMerge to create custom PDF documents created with input from another software.

Kommentare: Pros: Very easy to use, does the job well. Even emails the PDF's we create to our Outlook box where an add-on we use prints the PDF as an order ticket. API's to other software such as Formstack link seamlessly. We have been using in a production mode for over a year with no real interruption. Customer service is friendly, FAQ's are helpful. Cons: not anything to scream about, to be picky we use the email feature and WebMerge does not supply a way to view return messages should the email not complete. You have to call or email customer service to figure it out (email server need whitelisted, problem with my receiving end etc) which is not ideal in terms of timely resolution in a production environment.

Very fast and easy to use

Vorteile:

I really like the PDF upload function and the data capture function. I can join a couple of forms together so that creating a merge form is very easy.

Nachteile:

cannot join PDF and text together. I'm using 2 text document + 2 PDF so and the end, the merge document count for 4 document and not just 1.

Kommentare: Nice package that allows me to create output in many different formats. We export our data from another cloud app into WebMerge. This is a breeze and all the data comes over without a glitch. Bringing over a form and having Webmerge recreate it using HTML is another matter. While this conversion gets close, being familiar with HTML helps a lot when the details of what a form looks like matters. Even with this HTML learning curve, WebMerge is very flexible and has saved me countless hours of valuable times.

Relatively easy to use. Works with several different file types. Integration with Salesforce is great.

Nachteile:

They could improve documentation. I think it is relatively expensive if I was to use it for documents we use every day. But for more complex documents like NDA, supplier agreements etc. it is good value for money.

Highly Versatile and Efficient

Kommentare: WebMerge allows us the generate documents seamlessly and allows for automatic generation with other systems we have in place. It has been fantastic and has significantly reduced many man hours, streamlining most of our workflow processes. We have not yet had any issues with WebMerge being offline / down since beginning to use it, ~3/4 months intensively now. We hope this continues. Highly recommended.
