Vorteile:

The platform is very easy to use and integrated with our CRM enabling single sign on. The dashboard and the reporting options to monitor registrations from the admin point of view are great to have.

Nachteile:

One feature that was missing was an in system video conferencing option. However, PLD have recently rolled this out and we look forward to releasing it to our membership.

PLD Mentoring Platform

Kommentare: Over the 3 years of use of this product we have had no problems with its functionality. We have regular 6 monthly reviews with the PLD team where we discuss and feedback our experiences of using it. Overall I cannot fault it or the support from the team. It's a good product. The platform is easy to navigate and in terms of branding it up with our logos and style it's simple and easy to use and to make changes.

Vorteile:

The automation built within the platform is really useful. Having mentors and mentees creating their own profiles online is of great value. It takes the burden of admin away from us and places the onus on the users to develop their own profiles. Having everything in the one platform is great for resource efficiency.

Nachteile:

From an admin and review of mentor and mentee registrations it would be better if we could get a view of the full stakeholder profiles to allow for quicker approval rather than just skeletal details.

Great features and support

Kommentare: The platform has allowed s to rapidly deploy a fantastic mentoring programme. PLD have supported us at every step and also in terms of further tweaking the system as we gain more experience of how the mentoring process can be managed.

Vorteile:

UK based company. Ease of contact. Ability to flex and customise to our needs. Competitive pricing. UK based support. Experience with other similar organisations. Content, documentation and resources provided helped speed up deployment and took a lot of burden off us to produce. The people at PLD truly know the market and understand the mentoring process and industry. This experience is invaluable when you are new to this area.

Nachteile:

Didn't seem as 'slick' as some of the others we looked at, but this is more than outweighed that its functionality and ease of use.

Vorteile:

It has helped us to facilitate nearly 500 mentees compared to 200 mentees, so we've been able to increase the number of young people we support annually by over 100%

Vorteile:

A fantastic resource for our members. Providing a wide range of mentors for members at various stages of their career and being able to build a relationship via the platform is vital in their progression.

Nachteile:

No issues with the platform at all and just wish we had more time to devote to it !

Kommentare: Our overall experience has been easy. Initial introduction and training meetings were quickly set up. Following by the creation of our bespoke platform. The PLD team have been accommodating and efficient.

Vorteile:

Very straight forward software, no fuss or frills needed. Provides a very simple but effective mentoring process.

Nachteile:

I haven't come across any features that need improving. We are due to email our members a similar survey, so we may have some more feedback following this.

Our monthly account meetings are incredibly helpful to not only understand how our Platform is being used but to also explore how we can further exploit or develop new features to benefit our organisation and our people - PLD are always interested and accommodating.

Vorteile:

PLD are an excellent company to work with, from procurement to implementation into business as usual, they have been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and offer tailored support to meet our needs - often going the extra mile to support us. The Platform is highly configurable to our needs, with on going adaptability as we optimise how we utilise it. The Platform itself is clean and simple and easy to use both as as user and admin. The Admin dashboard and ability to configure reports is outstandingly useful - allowing us to at the touch of a button provide rea-ltime usage data/trends.

Nachteile:

Nothing, we are working on the option add better coaching support to our platform

Kommentare: We have had a very positive working relationship with the PLD team since we implemented this product several years ago. The platform continues to evolve and new features and services added. We have regular contact with PLD and they are always happy to help and take on board feedback/new ideas. We have had no major issues with the platform.

Vorteile:

For a small organisation with limited staff resources, this provides a cost effective way for us to be able to offer and manage a mentoring scheme for our members which is a key membership benefit for a professional membership body. It is easy for members to use, it is easy for us to administer and PLD are always helpful whenever we need help or advice.

Nachteile:

As it is 'off the shelf' there are some limitations in terms of what you can customise but this if reflected in the price you pay for the package and to have something completely customisable would be more than we could afford.

User Experience of PLD Coaching & Mentoring Platform

Kommentare: The Coaching and Mentoring platform has enabled the organisation to smoothly transition from a small scale coaching offer, involving manual matching of coaches and coachees to a digital coaching offer which intuitively matches coach skills and expertise with coachee needs. This has resulted in an organistaion wide coach offer which requires reduced administrative support over time. The customer support provided from PLD has been of the highest standard, they welcome and act on feedback and are working hard to give customers the best possible experience. PLD are committed to a programme of continuous improvement of the platform's functionality and user experience.

Vorteile:

Flexibility to build from scratch. Customisation capabilities of the platform. Intuitive. On-going Customer Support available throughout the build and launch of the platform, followed by regular review opportunities

Nachteile:

PLD have included professional mentoring videos for their platform, however at the time of our system build there were no similar coaching related videos available. This is something that PLD are currently addressing. They have been proactive in seeking feedback from customers with coaching platforms on the nature and content of coaching videos to support both coach and coachee user experience on the platform.

Great product - but we need more mentors to really get going with it

Kommentare: Really good experience, lovely team that will do what they can to help - even encouraging and motivating you to get the best out of the platform and they are armed with your own organisation's performance so really is bespoke guidance. The mentoring journeys that have taken place have all given good reviews, so until the time comes that I can dedicate more time to it - it is doing a good job in the background.

Vorteile:

At a basic level it runs itself, if you are a time-poor admin. The journey is well thought out, improving all the time and regular check-ins give me a boost to promote the service more amongst our membership.

Nachteile:

It's not a fault of the platform - but you really do have to put a lot of effort in to recruit mentors. Otherwise it will sit there as a minor member service, and not realising its potential as the brilliant member service I know it would be if I had more time.

Peer to Peer mentoring within the profession

Kommentare: The system is easy to set up and manage.
There has always been great support from pld including [sensitive content hidden] running a webinar session for us.

Vorteile:

The system allows users to self-manage their registrations and the information that they feel is important about their needs and what they can offer. It is an effective way of matching the Mentees with Mentors. The monthly articles are also useful in promotion of the platform.

Nachteile:

There are no Cons that I can think of and have recommended the product to other organisations.

Kommentare: We wanted to implement PLD software to help us grow our mentoring programme. It became obvious that we could not sustain a version which was dependent on spreadsheets, google docs etc. We had multiple data sources and there was risk of error in data reporting.
Using the PLD Mentoring platform has allowed us to streamline our programme and we plan as we grow to use the reporting tools to allow us report on impact and our growth to our funders and other stakeholders.
By adopting the platform we have removed the day to day manual data administration that was very time consuming. It has allowed us to free up resources and concentrate on other areas.

Vorteile:

We found the software very practical. I was obvious that PLD had expertise in this area. The guides and very useful. We operate in Ireland and it was very useful that we could localise some of the language and terminology that would make sense to our users. We work with young people in education or wishing to get into education and match them with a mentor. The software was very intuitive and easy to use. We have had no feedback/queries from our mentees and mentors that use the platform to facilitate their mentoring.

Nachteile:

The integration process was really made easy with the support of the PLD team and Helen. We are not IT experts so to get their advise and feedback was invaluable. There were no features difficult to use or implement.

Excellent, well featured and easy to use platform, great value...

Kommentare: I have been really pleased that I made the purchase. The company has been responsive in helping me to get the platform up and running and any queries or concerns were addressed quickly. I looked at a number of other platforms before making the decision to go ahead and felt that I was going to pay a lot of money for features that I just didn't need. It is well used and I find that people in the company engage with it independently due to its simplicity which means less support time or training from me. I could not run my mentoring programme without it and it is essential to me to keep it alive and going across all our offices in the UK.

Vorteile:

The platform offers a good range of features that doesn't overload the user and makes training and deployment easy and intuitive. The platform was sold and deployed as a site licence rather than on a per-user cost basis which gave me the flexibility to purchase the platform and not have to worry about additional licence costs - which is really helpful when managing my budget especially as I was unsure of take-up in the first year. The deployment process was positive and the ability to customise and brand the platform was important to me. This was done smoothly with good communication with the account manager and technical team which made my life easy. I was able to customise almost all areas of the platform including the mentor matching algorithm to adapt it to our career path structure. I have been using the platform for 12 months and have had no issues of downtime at all so far. A useful set of in-built tools such as messaging, SMART goals, SWOT etc. with you can work on with the mentee. Staff really seem to have engaged with it with minimal support needed which was what I was looking for.

Nachteile:

I would like to see a more featured admin backend that would allow me to amend certain aspects of the site myself such as the drop-down fields for the profiles or more customisable surveys. If I want to make any changes I can always put a call in, and they have always been implemented really quickly. It would just be nice to have some more independent control without having to contact the company. The is no specific phone app if that is important to you, but not sure it is needed personally...the site adapts and works well for me via a phone browser.

Coaching & Mentoring Hub Review

Vorteile:

Having a self service approach so that colleagues could select a coach and /or mentor based on their individual needs was something we liked about the platform, along with the ability to have useful insight and intelligence about development need ands the challenges faced by colleagues. The suite of reporting tools was also something we've found incredible beneficial. Also being able to create our own resources for each of the journey stages meant we were able to replicate the resources we were currently using and develop them so that they were accessible to all.

Nachteile:

At first the system was only set up for mentoring, so in the early days of testing we found that a challenge as the terminology focused on mentees and mentors only. Being able to to customize the resources was a huge help in overcoming this and [sensitive content hidden] and the team have been incredibly supportive in configuring the reports to suit our needs so that we're able to report fully on both programmes.

Vorteile:

The PLD Mentoring Platform has been an excellent addition to our member benefits. Offering our members the chance to learn from the peers and make connections with other members globally. We regularly see members using the platform to get advice on how to progress with their careers, gain support on new projects they haven't handled before or for help in moving up our grade structure. Members who choose to sign-up as mentors also appreciate the chance to hone their mentoring and coaching skills while building relationships and getting a sense of achievement in helping the next generation of quality professionals.

Nachteile:

Fantastic Platform and Fabulous Customer Service Every time

Kommentare: We can't thank PLD for the provision of this platform which has reduced my admin time by almost half allowing me to focus on developing my mentoring scheme and increasing engagement with my service users. The platform has also allowed us to increase our mentee and mentor numbers to a level which would have been unmanageable for me but which means our members have more mentors to choose from. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] are a pleasure to work with and their customer service is second to none!

Vorteile:

We had a seamless transition from a paper based matching system have increased our engagement with our members due to the ease of use of the platform. I love the dashboard where you can see at a glance what your numbers are like and how engagement is going and the reports and analysis function is super helpful

Nachteile:

I can't say there is anything I like least. We have identified a few slight technical hitches along the way but these have always been resolved extremely quickly and to our satisfaction and similarly if there have been any additional requirements from us, these have always been actioned swiftly by PLD

Quick and easy set up, great quality product, great service

Kommentare: The whole process from tender to launch took a lot less time than expected, with more time that could have been shaved off from our own side. The platform and its capabilities were laid out in an easy to follow induction process. The support team and account manager have been responsive and amenable, as well as providing guidance and tips for our own promotions and launch.

Vorteile:

- It is incredibly easy to use - There is generic content you can use which saves a lot of time writing content. - The team at PLD were extremely helpful throughout, from tender to launch - The platform is intuitive, and works well, with a good amount of uptake at launch - Pricing is inexpensive for the tool and service - Overall it is clean, easy, a strong platform and with a good team behind it.

Nachteile:

- Lack of administration tools meaning you have to contact PLD for certain changes - Restricted page layouts I suspect the team is working on having more flexibility to the platform.

Kommentare: Everyone have been so supportive and responsive to our needs. Great customer service and very efficient launch and continuous alterations as and when needed.

Vorteile:

The platform is very user-friendly for both end users and administrators and has many features and useful reporting dashboards. This allows the organisation to report on the uptake, usage and satisfaction with programmes via evaluation surveys. It is also very interactive and has educational text and video resources which users find very helpful. There is also a flow chart for the process of mentoring available which explains the process start to end and the platform helps users to navigate through their sessions suggesting helpful models and hints & tips through all stages of the mentoring/coaching relationship. It is just great that the platform can be fully-customised upon the organisation's needs - this is both in terms of the set up and visual appearance. It allows for a variety of programmes such as mentoring, coaching and reverse mentoring also.

Nachteile:

Cannot fault anything at the moment, I'm afraid.

Great Experience

Kommentare: Our overall experience has been very positive. A great benefit of PLD is having all details/information about the coaching relationships sitting in once place. We have been able to scale up our programme through the PLD platform and we may use this platform for other interventions in the future.

Vorteile:

The product is intuitive, simple and very easy to navigate, even if you're not tech savvy!

Nachteile:

We are temporarily using a manual matching process whilst we roll out our programme to the wider organisation. There are a few limitations with this, for example, we don't receive notifications when a coachee has set us their profile and is ready to match. However, we understand this is a temporary process and eventually the platform will create the matches and this issue will be resolved.

Such a great Platform

Kommentare: Mentoring was something we were working on rolling out here at IoMCoC way before the Pandemic. When Covid-19 hit the island and we went into lock down the process was accelerated rapidly in a bid to try and help as many local business as we could - Chamber member or not! The platform has worked fantastically for us and is very simple to use and easy to navigate. The back office admin is really insightful, you can run reports and export data to excel. I also love that mentees can ask one off quick questions and don't always have to enter into a full on mentoring relationship. PLD are great at sending over articles related to mentoring that you can use to promote the platform as well as keep existing users engaged. I also really like that PLD send out reminders to users that still need to engage with either mentees or mentors - as you can imagine it would be a nightmare to try an keep on top of this yourself. All in all the platform has been perfect for us and PLD have been incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions or queries.

Kommentare: Really good, platform is very low maintenance from an administrative point of view and customer support is very good.

I feel in safe hands and know they will try to help with anything I need. The platform itself has genuinely revolutionised the efficiency of ILM's mentoring programme management.

Vorteile:

The product is really intuitive, simple and easy to use, whilst providing everything you might need to run a mentoring programme in one place. Members find it really simple too.

Nachteile:

There were a few tiny things to iron out, but working with PLD is so easy, they just changed anything I requested really quickly and user tested it all really fast so it was ready to roll out as planned.

Kommentare: Easy to use, perfect for what we needed and our NHS staff love it

Vorteile:

I like how easy and user friendly it is. You could give the log in to someone and they could figure out the site themselves without any help. Its clear and looks good without it being too clunky. Its perfect for a self service system.

Nachteile:

I think the reporting aspect could be updated slightly but PLD are so good with updates that Im sure they're on it already.

Kommentare: It has been a great experience working with PLD. They have provided a swift response to all requests in relation to platform updates and assistance with navigating through the platform, making it user friendly. The platform itself is very interactive and the provision of various guides and newsletters are also very helpful to our end users and administrators along with the use of reporting functionality and evaluation surveys.

Vorteile:

Usability - the platform is not complicated to use

Nachteile:

Would be great if there was an app version, maybe one that could also be used for chat/texting purposes and scheduling so we can log usage. At the moment it's mostly offline and there's no real way to check how much or how often members use the platform

The platform does have both meeting scheduling and tracking and an admin function that tracks user visits over time. I will be in touch to provide more support on these areas. We have looked at an app version but the platform has been designed for use over a wide range of devices without the need for a separate app. We do monitor engagement at the key stages of the relationship to provide useful metrics to administrators. Although we provide messaging, our extensive experience suggests that the majority of users prefer to use messaging / chat systems that they are already familiar with such as email, sms, video-conferencing, WhatsApp etc. We will be in touch to book in a chat to see if there are some key metrics missing we can collect for you.
