Shopify helps to Sell-ify more items.

Kommentare: It is a very pleasant and easy experience, make a smooth process out of selling items. But I can't speak to the admin side of the app.

Vorteile:

Very easy to learn, especially if you have used any other point of sale applications. Take multiple forms of payment easy. Even tap credit cards or phones for payments.

Nachteile:

Not much to dislike. Occasionally it takes a little while for a transaction to fully process, but by and large everything works quickly.

Shopify POS Works Great with 3rd Party Apps

Kommentare: Overall, we are able to find work arounds for most issues and eventually we get things working. The convenience of the Shopify POS App is sometimes overshadowed by a need for 3rd party apps, and lots of time fiddling around. A major plus is that most issues that I encounter are issues for everyone else too, so I can usually find my answers in an archive somewhere. The bad news is that some issues have been around for years and are still not resolved. For instance, the month-end inventory snapshot sometimes takes up to 2 weeks into the new month to show the month prior.

Vorteile:

I love the ability to integrate our online store with our brick & mortar location. Before Shopify, we had to put in every order twice to capture the online sale. Now it's simple to manage our products both online and in store.

Nachteile:

It doesn't have the ability to do Weighted Average Cost (or any other costing method that isn't FIFO). Additionally, Shopify POS doesn't have any report to track adjustments made to inventory-- you must go into each individual item to view adjustment history per item. There's no way to track bulk adjustments made in the inventory screen. We use 3+ apps just to make Shopify POS work as a normal POS should.

Kommentare: My overall experience was very positive.

Vorteile:

The most I liked about this product is how quick and easy it is to set up, virtually taking no time at all to get it going.

Nachteile:

There was nothing that I did not like about this product.

Expected Better, But Time May Yield a Better Product

Kommentare: Shopify POS, at time of trial (2021) was not at a usable state for a retail business. Developed by a tech company without any real knowledge of brick & mortar retail operations, it is not nearly robust enough for a store with a sizeable inventory or services.

Vorteile:

Shopify POS is convenient for a small store with a very small product catalogue. Boutiques and cafes would be most appropriate.

Nachteile:

Had to use on an ipad w/ other specific hardware. It was rife with compatibility issues and half-baked features built on Shopify's piecemeal app system.

Superior analytics

Kommentare: The analytics are quite superior to any other industry specific tool available to us.

Vorteile:

The UI and how easy it is to use. Specifically, I like how simple it is to being able look up products.

Nachteile:

Adding an existing customer to an order.

Shopify is expensive but pays off

Kommentare: My overall experience with shopify is satisfactory. Its user friendly yet expensive

Vorteile:

The best thing about shopify is their ease of use and minimum fee for new users , also $1 for first month and customer reviews option.

Nachteile:

Its costly when you keep on adding apps to scale your shop .

Shopify good for a simple fast shop not the best for personalized brand

Kommentare: Great beginner site if you dont really want to personalize it much.

Vorteile:

At the time Shopify made it easy to create new product listings & integrate them to etsy.

Nachteile:

Very limited on how you designed your shop and where you sold your products.

Great for in person sales

Kommentare: I like that I'm easily able to select products from my inventory for in person sales

Vorteile:

I like that I can accept payments on my phone.

Nachteile:

A little difficult to set up on your own

Perfect if you already use shopify

connects with our online e-commerce, csm can follow and easier books to keep

No free equipment as oppposed to square competitor

The Most Known POS!

Vorteile:

I love that they also have a balance account. You can have quicker pay and a designated credit kinds of account.

Nachteile:

Nothing honestly that I don’t like about Shopify.

I Am Most Impressed With Shopify

Kommentare: I’m very happy with them and have convinced my friend to sign up. She is happy with it too

Vorteile:

I love the ease of use and learning didn’t take too much time. I use it to cash out my customers and inventory management as well as website maintenance.

Nachteile:

The price. The additional apps can be confusing. I wish they had better apps for social media posts. They did but the social companies pulled the apps as far as I know. I can’t afford paid ads all the time and the posts directly from my products across all socials were so helpful. Now I can only post in Facebook.

Shopify Happy User !

Kommentare: Overall we are super happy and impressed with our Shopify Experience. What i like most about Shopify is that it’s user friendly and customer friendly. It accepts an array of payments, it allows us to manage our entire website in a user friendly way, it synchs our inventory and order accurately and accepts our payments into our accounting software !

Sometimes the synching to quick books is not completely accurate

Kommentare: Great customer service and extremely easy way to perform any kind of retail transactions online

Extremely helpful to use if just opening an online business and creating a really good platform for your clients and consumers to shop

Learning the app and the website is a little bit confusing it first, but you get to know bottom line of it

Kommentare: Shopify POS has greatly helped to streamline our instore ordering process and saved a lot of pen and paper work.

Vorteile:

We use Shopify POS to manage our walk in orders, it links directly to our stock levels on our main site and is easy to use.

Nachteile:

Some apps don't integrate with POS so some products in which we have multiple options, that usually require an app, need to be input manually.

Best tool for retail

Vorteile:

It is fully integrated with Shopify, so we have one tool for both the website and the stores.

Nachteile:

We struggle to create new accounts so we have to use old ones all the time.

Adds the online fees to your phisical store, is better to pay for the software than paying fees for every sale. Mind the subscription you are using

Kommentare: I have overall enjoyed utilizing shopify for my business needs, however didnt like the frequent glitches.

Vorteile:

Simple for my customers to find products for sale and check out with ease.

Kommentare: Shopify was easy to setup and integrate. However, their fee structure was cost prohibitive for the type of print on demand business I was starting.

Vorteile:

Shopify integrates well with other platforms like Etsy for seamless integration of print on demand products.

Nachteile:

Shopify had an expensive fee model that made it one of the more expensive options.

Easy for on the go

Vorteile:

Easy to use on the go - at events and pop ups

Nachteile:

Sometimes the bluetooth takes a while to find the POS, but once set up, it works great

Must have POS Software

Kommentare: Although there are some minor imperfections, I continue to utilize Shopify POS because it remains the most user-friendly point-of-sale solution for my business. Moreover, I find the pricing to be reasonable.

Vorteile:

Setting up and utilizing Shopify POS proved to be a fast and effortless process. Since I had already established my online store using Shopify, all I had to do was install Shopify POS on my iPhone, and I was ready to begin selling. The seamless integration between my store and the POS system for managing products, customers, and orders made the entire management process highly efficient.

Nachteile:

Honestly, I don't have any significant criticisms about Shopify. If I were to mention a minor drawback, it would be that not all features are included by default, and additional apps are required for certain functionalities unless you opt for Shopify Pro.

Pos fees Iffy........But good tracking System

Kommentare: They were our first pos program and were easy to signup for but please resesrch your option unlike we did.........

Fees....Fees.....and more Fees simple as that!

Not the Greatest!

Vorteile:

Anyone with the money can get it. No credit Check

Nachteile:

You need a smart phone and a card reader to accept Point of Sale Transactions.
