Shopify POS

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to get started and how easy it is to use. Its so convenient, and i love that you can run credit or debit cards for payments with just your phone.

Nachteile:

I like everything about shopify POS so far.

Shop uses shopify

Kommentare: overall we are pretty happy with shopify. It is pretty easy to use and the learning curve isn't difficult. It has some great features that really enhance our business and make things more efficient.

Vorteile:

It is much-needed in our shop and way better than trying to use a regular register and then keep track of sales, inventory etc. It makes life a lot easier for us and the accountant. We are currently implementing a bar code system that will make it even easier and better. We carry thousands of items from many different vendors and it is a challenge to keep track. Shopify not only makes it possible, it has features that organize and allow the vendors to check in themselves and see what has sold and keep track of their inventory

Nachteile:

It occasionally crashes and is hard to restart. It can be very inopportune. It also requires a lot of hours to set up. I have only called customer service once, but it wasn't super helpful. Not bad service, just not as much as I would have liked.

POS made easy with the gold standard

Vorteile:

Shopify POS is the gold standard for POS systems. It is easy to use and reliable.

Nachteile:

I have not had any issues using Shopify POS.

Expected Better, But Time May Yield a Better Product

Kommentare: Shopify POS, at time of trial (2021) was not at a usable state for a retail business. Developed by a tech company without any real knowledge of brick & mortar retail operations, it is not nearly robust enough for a store with a sizeable inventory or services.

Vorteile:

Shopify POS is convenient for a small store with a very small product catalogue. Boutiques and cafes would be most appropriate.

Nachteile:

Had to use on an ipad w/ other specific hardware. It was rife with compatibility issues and half-baked features built on Shopify's piecemeal app system.

Shopify POS for transactions

Kommentare: Overall shopify did its job when it came to processing and putting through transactions. I would say the downsides are more so when the internet connection isn’t great which can cause some issues and disruptions to processing.

Vorteile:

I liked that Shopify had everything you need to see on screen. Making it easy to view transactions and what was scanning up before processing it through.

Nachteile:

I had problems sometimes with items scanning incorrectly or taking a while to process transactions which made it quite slow. It could have been the internet connection that affected this though and not the app itself.

Shopify good for a simple fast shop not the best for personalized brand

Kommentare: Great beginner site if you dont really want to personalize it much.

Vorteile:

At the time Shopify made it easy to create new product listings & integrate them to etsy.

Nachteile:

Very limited on how you designed your shop and where you sold your products.

Love it for my small business

Kommentare: It's very easy to keep track of my sales, add discount codes, add new inventory, and run my small business using Shopify.

Vorteile:

As a small business owner, it's very easy to keep track of my sales with Shopify.

Nachteile:

There's not anything that I don't like about it.

Kommentare: The layout (templates) can be modified to a large extent without any programming knowledge. Adding products and managing payment and shipping options as well as processing orders is an absolute breeze.

Selling with Shopify POS

Kommentare: I really wish you using the software however it also offers somebody just starting their eCommerce business flexibility because you can be online and offline simultaneously. Implementation costs of website and also point-of-sale system is negligible if you have high demand for your products.

Vorteile:

It's really seamless on how the customer is notified with shipments, product back orders and also inventory so that they can make an informed decision at point of sale.

Nachteile:

There's always an issue with applications in that you would need to go to the main website to pull certain order shipments and tracking sales reports beyond 3 months.

Great for new small businesses

Kommentare: Great customer service and extremely easy way to perform any kind of retail transactions online

Vorteile:

Extremely helpful to use if just opening an online business and creating a really good platform for your clients and consumers to shop

Nachteile:

Learning the app and the website is a little bit confusing it first, but you get to know bottom line of it

Great pos for Shopify users

Kommentare: It does what we needed it to do.

Vorteile:

East to set up, integrates with full Shopify inventory, and low downtime. Hardware is good. Staff is able to use with little training.

Nachteile:

I don’t have anything negative to say really.

Pos fees Iffy........But good tracking System

Kommentare: They were our first pos program and were easy to signup for but please resesrch your option unlike we did.........

Fees....Fees.....and more Fees simple as that!

Easy to Master

Kommentare: Shopify provides a simple, easy to master platform on which to layer our eCommerce shop.

Vorteile:

e-commerce customers enter their orders, information is transmitted to our DC, the DC transmits back shipping information, the shipping information is emailed to the customer and we get paid.

Nachteile:

It still programs in computer language. Changing content isn't as simple as it could be for non-programmers like most of the users/admins probably are.

Why I like Shopify POS

Vorteile:

Very user and customer friendly. Plus it is a name people are comfortable with.

Nachteile:

nothing everything has worked great so far.

Pos Is Cool

Kommentare: it is very Quick and effective to help with hooking u a card reader to make the process quick and painless for customers and employees

Vorteile:

it allows us to take Quick payments at events!

Nachteile:

when i receive an online order i also relieve the message through pos- not a huge deal i just turned off the notification. not really a CON

Vorteile:

It is beginner, friendly, but also an advanced software. You can do as little or as much as you want with it with hardly any limitations. There are so many apps, available and themes that you can create yourself. I absolutely love it.

Nachteile:

I don’t have anything negative to say about Shopify really. If I hadn’t come up with some thing, it would be that not everything is built-in and you do need an app for a lot of extra things if you don’t wanna go with Shopify pro.

I found it very easy to navigate through Shopify POS and also customizing everything was very simple. I did not need any prior knowledge to work through the system.

Nachteile:

I personally found it a bit expensive for me although I believe if you already have stable business you will find it cheap.
