Very cost effective S3 Compatible storage solution

Kommentare: In the beginning I had a couple of tech support questions regarding the configuration I wanted - they were very helpful, resolved my questions, and I was set up and running in short order. My experience has been very good.

Vorteile:

I was looking for the most cost-effective cloud storage solution with the kinds of features I wanted (mostly S3 compatibility). Wasabi fit the bill nicely and I've been using it for years.

Nachteile:

What I like least is that the user interface is not particularly intuitive, but it's not really meant to be a B2C easy-to-use product like Dropbox. It's meant to be a back-end solution for those with more technology skills. Given that, I don't really have a complaint about the interface.

Very good and cheap alternative to S3

Kommentare: I like it very much. If you are familiar with Amazon S3 then there will be no problems with switching it to Wasabi. I didn't have any issues with that service and also I didn't noticed any downtimes so far. It is working fine with Rclone, TrueNAS Core and also Python Boto3 library so I have everything I need.

Vorteile:

- Simplicity of the console- S3 compatible- AWS like access management (If you are familiar with AWS that is a real plus)- Pricing model- Multiple Data centers locations- GDPR compliant- Bucket replication if needed

Nachteile:

I'm missing one feature in Wasabi. There is no way to setup lifecycle policy for buckets. Wasabi knows about this and on their knowledge base they are offering Python code which will do that for you. In my opinion such functionality should be available in console.

Cheap Cloud Storage Solution

Kommentare: My overall experience has been very positive. We are currently using Wasabi for archive data that is seldom touched, so it works great for that purpose. Aside from the small nuances with renaming files, Wasabi should strongly be considered for cloud storage. Their support is also great.

Vorteile:

One of my favorite things about Wasabi's Cloud NAS product is the cost. They charge $7.99 a month with a 10TB minimum, how great is that!? This is very cheap compared to other providers such as AWS, Microsoft, and Google. Aside from the low costs and bottomless storage, I am really enjoying their Cloud NAS software. This utility allows you to configure folders in your on-premise server to be synced to the cloud. You can choose from various configurations that permits file versioning and also setting retention policies. The retention policies allow for a drive quota to be set, giving you the choice of how much you want to keep on-premise vs on the cloud. This is where Wasabi Cloud NAS shines, making it a great solution for archival purposes.

Nachteile:

Given all things considered, Wasabi works great, however, there is one thing I disliked. One of those cons is that when on-premise files are being renamed, the changes are not always reflected exactly on the Wasabi Cloud Console. This causes a lot of confusion when your on-premise storage do not match what's on the cloud bucket. At the time of this reviewed, this appears to be a bug. Because we are using Wasabi for archive data that is not frequently altered, it's not a huge deal for us, but it's an honorable mention. Lastly, backups! There are no backups, but I believe this is a limitation of blob storage. A solution to this may be creating another bucket and replicating to that instead. Nonetheless, this is something I wanted to put here.

Amazing product for the money

Kommentare: Sales staff isn't pushy, they are very helpful, and reserved capacity is they way to go if you know your storage needs. I have only reached out to support for one question during PoC testing and they were very helpful and still quite responsive being so close to end of the day before a holiday. Transfer speed is spot on to what I was hoping for.

Vorteile:

Price to capacity/performance is amazing. We are a growing company and need scalable solutions and this is playing a major role in our infrastructure.

Nachteile:

Multiple admin functionality is a little restrictive in what you can and can't do. There needs to be a better way to share top level access to the account. That said we are still new to it so I may have missed something at the time of setting this up.

Vorteile:

- Wasabi has the lowest price in the industry.- No Charges For Egress.

Nachteile:

The 90 day minimum storage charge policy.

A real cost effective alternative of AWS S3.

Kommentare: I am fully satisfy with the Wasabi in terms on clear dashboard, good support and full IAM control feature to segregate the users and bucket by writing our own policy rules.

Vorteile:

The best part of Wasabi that it is fully compliance with the AWS S3 command on the same time in the economical prices; without compromising of the data reliability of (i.e. 99.99999999%).

Nachteile:

Minimum commitment of storage as well as we have to pay for extra 30 days after deleting the data .

Convenient and secure method for tageting off site backup jobs.

Nachteile:

My coworker first found and configured the system for us and taught it to me. I think it would have taken quite a bit of time if I had to start from scratch on my own.

switched from amazon glacier to wasabi

Kommentare: use it to backup files on linux and windows machines.

Vorteile:

easy to setup and use. far cheaper than amazon glacier and much easier to manage.

Nachteile:

its does everything i need it to. and its fast.

Kommentare: En sentido general, mi experiencia con Wasabi es muy buena, lo utilizo para guardar los backup de mis páginas web por la seguridad que nos ofrece y la facilidad de configurarlo.Comencé con Wasabi con los 30 días de pruebas que dan, y cuando vi todo lo que ofrecían y la calidad de sus servicios, me he quedado utilizándolo.

Vorteile:

El precio es inigualable, solo imaginar que 1TB en Wasabi cuesta aproximadamente 35 dólares al año y Amazon S3 por mencionar alguno, cuesta más de 200 dólares al año, practicamente es un 80% más barato que amazon, increible.También tiene un buen servicio al cliente, su seguridad es de primer nivel, eso me gusta mucho, porque siempre queremos tener bien resguardada toda nuestra información.Nos permite Evite múltiples sesiones activas simultáneas para una identificación de usuario en la Consola Wasabi, permite activar La autenticación multifactor (MFA), entre otros métodos de seguridad que nos dan confianza a la hora de guardar nuestra información. Ha y muy importante, nos protege contra el Ransomware.

Nachteile:

Cobran una tarifa adicional cuando elimino archivos dentro de los tres meses posteriores a la carga.Nuestros archivos se guardan en algo que le llaman Bucket, podemos crear varias Bucket para guardar nuestros archivos, pues si queremos mover archivos de un Bucket a otro, no es posible dentro del Dashboard de Wasabi, debemos utilizar un software adicional que se instala en nuestra PC.

La mejor opcion calidad/precio para almacenar copias de seguridad

Lo que más me gusta de Wasabi es que es una opción económica y de calidad para almacenar archivos. Además de que es compatible con S3.

Nachteile:

Lo que menos me ha gustado de wasabi es la interface. Aunque esto no interfiere con su funcionalidad, si es un detalle a mejorar.

Perfect option for cloud storage

Kommentare: So far great experience. We have set this up to move copies of backups offsite and remove our dependency on tapes.

Vorteile:

Its an easy to setup cloud based storage solution. Essentially simplifies an AWS S3 storage bucket and accepts all the same connections as an S3 bucket.

Nachteile:

Access keys and tokens required similar to S3. Would have like a way to simplify this and store within Wasabi for ease of configuring end point
