My review of using Clipchamp for around 6 months

Kommentare: My overall experience using Clipchamp was good. I will give it around 4.3 stars out of 5. Except for the above-mentioned things, I love its every feature, be it Watermark free, Remove gaps in clips, changing orientation in the middle of the editing, etc.

Vorteile:

I have been using Microsoft Clipchamp for more than 6 months. During this journey, I liked its simple UI and ease of use. One of the most loved features of this app is WATERMARK FREE EXPORT, I love it. I also like its REMOVE THE GAPS BETWEEN VIDEO CLIPS feature a lot. Its pricing is also much less as compared to another similar kind of applications. Yeah, it's Value for money.

Nachteile:

I think everything is good except for the number of templates it provides. It's much less as compared to its other competitors. Also, in the free plan, we are not able to content backup which is a con. It must be there in the Free plan.

Why Do I Love Clipchamp?

Kommentare: I personally love using this software and I hope to keep using it for years to come

Vorteile:

I really like how it is not punishing if you do not pay for it. The free version is really nice to use and there are not too many paywalls.

Nachteile:

There are some features missing like being able to move things and also being able to rotate items to a specific degree. Shake should also be added as an effect.

Small, Free, Fast, but maybe you need more.

Kommentare: I am a graphic designer and I make posters for my clients, some times they ask me for animated versions to use in their social media pages, but for those to be profitable I need to have a fast turnaround with minimal times spent on creating that video.
Here is where I found out about Clipchamp, I export 4-5 elements from my poster design and the poster itself and with a bit of clever usage of transitions I animate them to make something nice but fast. And here comes the problem, there are not much you can do with your elements, let's say you import a static png, you know what would be very cool?
To animate it, in a simple way like making it move from place A to B! Pretty simple right? I mean you do simple animation like this even in power point presentations.
But here this functionality doesn't exist and it is sad, because the only way to move elements around is by doing some workaround with transition from a blank image to your image and hope it covers the movement you want to make. In general there could be a lot more tools that could make it great without making it difficult. I don't expect Resolve, but come one... look at CapCut, this is how you do it right.

Vorteile:

Easy to create simple reels or stories or simple videos without much fanfare.

Nachteile:

It leaves a lot to be desired, even for a simple video app.

My go-to tool

Kommentare: Overall, Clipchamp remains my go-to tool because it makes my work so much easier.

Vorteile:

I've been using Climpchap for over 5 years now, and it has consistently been functional and user-friendly. I use it for screen recording, audio, and camera capture, and the templates are incredibly useful and practical. I have the free version, and all the features are easy to use and of excellent quality. The download options even go up to 1080p HD. I've seen the platform evolve and improve every day. The first time I used it was at work to add subtitles to some brand videos, and since then, I discovered it was much more than just adding titles. It's about trimming, merging, editing, and creating high-quality videos. For example, all my courses and promotional videos have been designed with Climpchap—if that isn't amazing! Sometimes I try other applications, but then I remember how easy my life is with Climpchap and continue using it. So far, I haven't needed to use any other apps.

Nachteile:

One important consideration for those just starting with this platform is that to ensure optimal performance, your computer should have good storage capacity. While this hasn't been an issue with my current setup, it's definitely something to keep in mind.

A beginner friendly video editing tool with fairly advanced options

Kommentare: Overall, I am very satisfied with Clipchamp. I would like to highlight that I mostly need basic editing features like trimming, cropping and rotating and occasionally use advanced features like audio separation.

Vorteile:

I am highly impressed with easy ClipChamp's uncomplicated navigation and easy to use video editing capabilities. Along with the common features like cropping, trimming, rotating, and splitting clips Clipchamp also empowers me with some fairly advanced options like separating video and audio or speech to text. As a person with some speech disorders I highly admire the coaching option that offers feedback on my presentation skills and helps me to find areas where I need to improve.

Nachteile:

The color resolution feature needs some improvement to help creators offer an impressive visual experience to the viewers regardless of screen size. Also, the processing speed can be improved further.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Kommentare: Horrible experience. I have never used a tool this frustrating before

I like how it is easy to use and similar to other editing tools i have use

Nachteile:

using the tools are too glitching and it keeps kicking me out to their home screen, making it not editable for me to edit. clips kept being deleted even though the clips that are downloaded are still there. every time I want to delete a text, the other clips keeps going forward which is unbelievable. if i want to extend a clip, the other clips extends(but that is only you add a lot of clips). adding more clips will slow down the website. things keeps disappearing and I am unable to edit or do anything.

Horrible! No Live Customer Service! Editing Qualities the Worse!

Kommentare: But for the issues I mentioned the finished product is great but these vital issues makes this app horrible bc in the blogger youtube & other sites you need to get your content up as quickly as possible.

Vorteile:

One of the few editing apps out there for first time bloggers that's popular. If the editing feaatures where not so bad it would be a pretty good app

Nachteile:

No live immediate customer service that you can speak with or even chat with to resolve vital editing functioning issues or any issues for that matter. The editing tool is horrible. It will Flicker, get's stuck, it has to be relaunched quite often. on the upgraded for 11.99 they have copywriten music there and you don't know it until you upload your youtube video the music is copywritten. preventing you form monetizing fully. And the worse is there is no live cuatomer service reps to address issues, the chat CS is up to 12 days for response. Im current searching for another app to do my video's on.

Clipchamp great for getting recorded talks online

Kommentare: Got the job done, and got working quickly. I will use again but will be aware of it's limitations.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, just load sound track, then add screens with transitions at appropriate time points

Nachteile:

No audio editing. Cannot lock items or combinations so inserting or removing items involved lots of re-edits. Technical issues when rendering large videos, froze quite often - appear to resolve by moving to more powerful pc.

Editing video

Kommentare: Since I discovered Clipchamp, I've had good results when editing my videos for my work.

Vorteile:

I liked the ease and quality of editing the videos.

Nachteile:

For my work there were no cons in using Clipchamp.

Usable and free, until it's not

Kommentare: Easy to use, easy to setup, very creative and modern design, but does take some time to render and requires a subscription for some extra features

Vorteile:

The UI has to be highlighted for this software, I also like how it comes out of box with Windows 11, making the process seamless and requiring little to no setup

Nachteile:

Some features will require a paid subscription, which is frustrating; locking tools behind a paywall does not cut it for me; might as well go with a full subscription and include everything at once

Excelente editor de video

Vorteile:

Clipchamp es un excelente editor de videos, que cuenta también con funcionalidades muy interesantes, el que más me gusta es el de texto a voz, donde puedo convertir mis textos en audios con voces muy naturales, excelente opción para crear contenidos para redes sociales, presentaciones, o videos explicativos.

Nachteile:

Hasta el momento todo va bien con Clipchamp, es mi editor favorito para mis videos de redes sociales.

A veces el tiempo de descarga de los vídeos editados puede ser un poco largo, pero por suerte la calidad siempre es bastante alta.

Video making Clipchamp

Vorteile:

I like the overall experience with the tool and the functionalities it provides. It helps to create and edit videos even with little to no previous experience.

Nachteile:

I didn't have major problems with the platform.

Kommentare: En lo general es bastante bueno, me encanta las herramientas y su facilidad de utilizarse, me agrada las transiciones y hasta la música es muy buena. Más allá de las herramientas premium, es muy buena y recomendable.

Vorteile:

La tengo descargada en el escritorio y es un de las muy pocas aplicaciones que utilizo para editar y hacer mis videos de la universidad. Adoro las herramientas y la facilidad con la que se pueden realizar, el mismo ayuda en los errores y te corrige cuando es necesario.

Nachteile:

Me parece que podrían agregar más plantillas para videos y, aunque sea, poner una prueba gratis de guardar videos en la nube. A mí se me perdieron todos los videos que había hecho en una computadora anterior cuando esta murió y no pude recuperarlo porque lo único premium era lo que más necesitaba en el momento.

Online video editing tool

Vorteile:

Reminds us a lot of the old windows movie maker, so it was really easy to figure out and use. Has enough options on video editing for our uses, also not too much to be overwhelmed.

Nachteile:

Have't run into any problems so far, so cannot complain

Simple Clipchamp review

Vorteile:

The interface is easy on the eyes. Not too loud. On night mode it seems. You will not find an easier video creator software like Clipchamp. I have been using it for four to six months and I still find tools or templates I did not know were there. Video creating with Clipchamp has been an absolute delight.

Nachteile:

No complaints here. Clipchamp developers. Great job. I love your software.

Best video editor!

Kommentare: It’s been great, I’ve been using ClipChamp for the last 1 year and half for my online classes. I record the topics explanation and then edit the short videos into one complete lesson. I’ve been able to share this with my students without any issue. They have used ClipChamp themselves for school projects. It’s amazing and I truly recommend it to everybody. Personal or professional use; ClipChamp is the best!

Vorteile:

I love that ClipChamp allows me to put different videos together and add different transitions, audios, music, text and filters. It also allows me to publish the finished video directly on different media as well as to share the online version through a URL or download it and saved it in my computer. I also love that is really easy to use however it includes a tutorial.

Nachteile:

Nothing, ClipChamp is a really good and easy to use. I really like it and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

Clipchamp is great for small businesses. I would recommend it to my friends.

Kommentare: Overall the experience has been good with Clipchamp. We have been uploading videos to Instagram and Facebook and have had comments on the good production which we often tell them it is with clip champ.

Vorteile:

I liked how easy it was to sign up to the program. Often I have trouble with multiple accounts and email addresses but it seemed easy enough on Clipchamp. The most used feature for my business is the mobile upload as we often take videos on the ground and I want my employees to always be capturing footage. They don't mind when they know it is easy enough to get uploaded to our program for future editing.

Nachteile:

I think they could improve on the pricing. Maybe some discounted tiers for smaller businesses. Although as we increase the volume of our videos maybe we will consider a higher tier. If there was a free version where you could export in a higher res that would be good, in the free trial we didn't really know what we were going to get.

Champing at the Clip

Kommentare: I've been using both Clipchamp on my desktop and another app suited to Android mobile devices to explore how they work; very similar. Of the two Clipchamp is great value for money. Am using this app to meet industry demands which now require all performers/entertainers provide a brief visual of their works. I don't foresee I will be using Clipchamp on a regular basis, more likely once or twice a year just to update or add fresh content for our small group. On the other hand would certainly come in handy on a personal level in sharing video/pics with family and friends.

Vorteile:

Easy to use; flexible, able to edit any part of your video at anytime, change your mind and start again or create several. Great support 24/7 and go to advice on 'how to' do something. Multiple platforms access available to upload videos. Loads of resources to take advantage of. Great prices, awesome software.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything as still feeling my way about

An easy way to shorten your videos

Vorteile:

Well, it was free for starters. It makes it really easy to edit and use clips.

Nachteile:

I haven't figured out how to add a soundtrack yet but have a feeling it has the capacity to.

Painless Drag and Drop Creation and Quick Rendering

Vorteile:

The ease of adding video and audio and the quick rendering of formats even on older PCs.

Nachteile:

Even though the interface would suggest otherwise, the video creation tools, like adding text to slides, did not function as intended.
