Discovered through CFIB

Vorteile:

Since being introduced to Shiptime through CFIB we have consolidated all of our shipping through the Shiptime portal which has significantly reduced costs and allowed us to manage the expense of freight

Nachteile:

The integration with other shippers is coming! Canada Post was recently added but to add Purolator it still seems like a work in progress

Kommentare: really good. Rarely do we have issues and mostly resolved fast with customer service.

Vorteile:

Easy to create shipping labels, tracking and pricing.

Nachteile:

There are certain carriers that will not honor what we have purchased and.... Not a software issue but still an issue since we are purchasing transport and carriers dont honor their service. We have banished some carriers from our possibility.

Love Shiptime!

Kommentare: We moved to Shiptime after a very bad episode with some other companies. I have had no issues - even when there was a problem with the package. Shiptime has been easy to work with and provides some great tools!

Vorteile:

We are super happy with the selection of carriers, the pricing, the ability to track it all, AND the BRANDING page is just so cool! We were so glad to see Canada Post offered in this now. Great add!

Nachteile:

I can't think of something I'd change. Our experience to date has been amazing.

If you are a business operator you need to use ShipTime

I can't tee up the shipping details to hand over to my customer and have them pay the shipping charge. This would make ShipTime invaluable to us

Great support and options for shipping

Kommentare: Shiptime is always prompt in notifying me of issues with a shipment and offers solutions and provides followup contact with me to ensure that the issue was solved.

Vorteile:

Shiptime offers an easy way to view shipping costs for multiple carriers all at once and allows you to ship via the method that you prefer depending on your requirements.

Nachteile:

It would be nice to have the tracking information available right at the end of the payment process for each shipment to allow for simpler options to notify my customers. It would also be nice to have a bit more support with their API website integration.

Thank you for your feedback. The Tracking information is included in the receipt when the shipment is created. If you select "Notify Recipient" an email will also be auto-generated to your customer once the shipment is picked up. You also have the option of setting up a Branded Tracking Page so your customers will receive a tracking email with your company logo and any social contacts you provide. As regards your API website integration we are working with both our first level and technical support teams to improve the service provided.

Kommentare: I find the Customer Support agents with Shiptime are very helpful and fairly quick to respond to questions/concerns.

Vorteile:

The Dashboard is very easy to navigate and use. We find it very useful to be able to track each shipment without having to leave the Shiptime Website. I also find having unique login information for those on our team who process shipments. Multiple unique users allows us to ensure only those who should have access to shipments do.

Nachteile:

It took some time to find where some additional features are located. For example, setting up the box library. Once I did some searching, I was able to find it.

Kommentare: We enjoy using ShipTime. I've already explained above how ShipTime helps us with choosing the correct courier service to best suit our customers' needs. I expect we will continue to use ShipTime.

Vorteile:

We were made aware of this software by CFIB some years ago. The ability to quickly compare delivery times and costs with different couriers was the main feature we wanted to use. It allowed us to keep shipping costs reasonable for ourselves and our customers. When customers ask, we can honestly tell them we search for the most effective shipping method that best suits their needs. ShipTime not only gives us that amazing feature but also has a very well laid out interface. It is easy to learn and keeps the number of steps involved with setting up a shipment to a minimum. I particularly like how easy it it to recall historical shipments and look up proofs of delivery and other details.

Nachteile:

The only negative point I can think of is that the first shipment notification includes financial and payment details. I would prefer to have no financials on the first notification, just the tracking number, consignee details, package details, references (e.g. PO and sales order references).

Good rates, simple process

Kommentare: ShipTime saves us money and time. It simplifies shipping processes and is key during our busy season as we get critical parts out to customers on time and at reasonable rates. I feel that it offers smaller businesses a break and helps us compete with larger companies.

Vorteile:

ShipTime is easy to use and gives us great rates compared to individual carrier rates. Their website is simple to use, save addresses, track packages, track history from all couriers on one website. We don't currently integrate with our dealership software but are looking to implement that in the near future. It will make a simple process even more streamlined.

Nachteile:

We have had occasional issues with LTL freight but have been able to deal with those and come to a resolution. Courier shipments are for the most part trouble free.

Excellent product and services, very happy with this service

Kommentare: We are very happy with ShipTime and have recommended it to other small companies.

Vorteile:

We are a small company and do not have sufficient shipping volume to qualify for large discounts. Having a product that can offer us good shipping prices on multiple carriers is the primary reason we use ShipTime. Another very useful feature is the ability to create the international shipping documentation, which saves a lot of work for us.

Nachteile:

The only feature I can suggest would be the ability to print shipping labels for couriers, and then schedule the pickup later. This is particularly important for couriers where the requested pickup time doesn't appear to show up in their system (Loomis is an example). Ideally we can package the item and attach shipping labels in shipments made in the morning, and then schedule a pickup later in the day for all boxes that are ready to go.

Competitive prices for small business

Kommentare: As an ecommerce business, we work with warehouses across Canada. While they provide shipping, we often find Shiptime offers us much better pricing.

Vorteile:

Quick quotes, ease of use and competitive pricing. Immediate tracking and stored history of orders for duplication.

Nachteile:

Unable to see availability of couriers for same day pick up. You can order it, but you have no way of knowing whether it will happen. Also no direct ability to correct problems - like drivers refusing to leave a parcel without a signature, despite clear instruction to do so.

Thank you for your feedback. As regards pick-ups ShipTime will display the pick-up window available for the carrier. However pickups are not guaranteed and the driver may not complete all pickups on the day requested. Our best recommendation is to ensure new shipments are placed early in the day to allow the maximum time available. For specific instructions for delivery we recommend contacting our support team at support@shiptime.com or via chat or phone and they can pass on the instructions to the carrier concerned.

Kommentare: Very pleased - multiple courier options / delivery services & fair costs. Customer service staff are all very easy to understand and are always pleasant to communicate with!

Vorteile:

Stores previous shipments to enable faster repeat shipments, and great shipment tracking tools.

Nachteile:

Missed / prolonged shipment pick-ups are not reported to the shipper. This information is on the manage tab, but it would be nice to receive an alert if a scheduled pickup for a client returning an order to us has not been picked up by the courier (eg. Canpar failed to pick up a return shipment for 4 days - ultimately we scheduled a non-ShipTime courier for the client to use.

ShipTime runs a report each night for missed pick-ups and you should be receiving emails with the title "Your Pick-up was Missed" with details of the shipment and how to reschedule or contact support. Excellent shipping tool

The insurance on the shipping is not worth buying for our products as it does not cover breakage.

Thank you for your feedback. We always recommend insurance to cover for eventualities such as loss or damage. There is no additional charge for insurance up to $100 value on ShipTime shipments. Insuring your packages also allows for a simplified claims process. We recommend that you check the terms and conditions for both Ship-surance and the carrier concerned, There are some exclusions for fragile items, but many products may be shipped with adequate packaging,

A Good Resource but not the Best in the Industry

Kommentare: Overall, Shiptime provides a central source for courier deliveries. It is easy to use, but is often more expensive than similar apps using the same couriers. The support staff and access to the support staff is superior, and is often a reason for selecting Shiptime as the app to be used. The con is that scheduling a p/u is often a day later than using other apps.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, and uncomplicated system with good visibility of suppliers.

Nachteile:

Limited remarks for additional instructions to drivers.

Amazing Shipping Services!

Kommentare: The biggest benefit to ST is the cost savings - their shipping costs are significantly lower than any other courier we have been able to source ourselves.

Vorteile:

ShipTime is extremely easy to use, and proves to be the cheapest shipping option time and time again. The most beneficial feature to our organization is the ability to received multiple quotes from different courier companies for your one shipment. It is extremely useful to see the different shipping costs, along with who the carrier is and their turn around time.

Nachteile:

Our least favorite feature of this software is the billing. It would be the most ideal for our organization to receive a bill from ST on a regular basis (Weekly / Biweekly / Monthly), and be able to pay via CHQ / EFT. Currently the only two available options (Credit card at time of purchase or ST automatically billing your CC once per week) are not our ideal choices.

Saves us a LOT of money!

Kommentare: Overall, the ShipTime experience has been very positive. It has saved us a lot of money on shipping costs over the last several years. The fact that it is compatible with thermal label printers is a huge plus also. Makes labelling shipments very quick and easy.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use, very user friendly and intuitive. Keeps excellent records of historical shipments. Allows a good variety of carriers to choose from and shop price with.

Nachteile:

I don't like when I get "shipment charges adjusted" emails after the fact. I charge customers based on my initial charges when entering the order. Far too often I get emails stating that charges have been adjusted, and they are always adjusted UP and never down.

Kommentare: Overall I'm happy with the pricing and ease of use with it's core features. I think some of your support people could be quite short/rude and ill equipped to really offer the best service possible.

Vorteile:

I like the partnership with CFIB and that there's no subscription model for use of the platform. The "Quote & Ship" feature and rate options/prices are great!

Nachteile:

I don't like that you can't specify pickup time frames for most services. Also, while others may find it convenient to contact support with your every need, I don't. Your team is just middle people for the carriers who can often give a quicker and more accurate response.

Ship Time Review

Kommentare: Great, easy. Also like that we can ship to the USA. Like that we get pick up at our door.

Vorteile:

I liked that when i have a problem, I can phone and get help in 5 minutes. Means a lot that i don't have to sit on the phone for an hour.

Nachteile:

I didn't realize until I asked that it is better to pack in 2 small boxes rather than one large. We repacked a large box to 2 small boxes going only 100 km away and the price was reduced $100.00! Wish I had known that from the start but someone I phoned at Ship Time was very helpful and showed me that.

Great platform, always my go-to

Kommentare: I love it! I've tried using other platforms such as shipstation, but I just couldn't figure it out over there. Scheduling a courier pick up on that platform? Forget it. Shiptime is quick, easy, and so user-friendly, I want to ship everything with shiptime even my personal packages.

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to find the best rates and how quick the process is! If I use my favorite courier, I know that they'll pick up the package before the end of the day and our customers will get their package that much sooner.

Nachteile:

I wish I could adapt the size of the shipping label within shiptime and not through my printing preferences. Nothing ever looks right when I mess with the print settings, so having a few different size options would be so awesome as I usually need to trim the label a significant amount to get it to kinda-sorta fit inside my little label envelope.

Hello Renee Thank you for your feedback. You do not need to store addresses in your address book prior to shipping but it is a useful place to store commonly used addresses. When creating shipments you have the option to save new addresses to your address book when the shipment is completed. While drivers are not able to print labels from your ShipTime account we understand that some shippers may have difficulties with pre-paid printed labels. An option for you would be to send out return labels with the shipment if you know that it will be coming back or the shipper will need to find a local store where they can print off the slip.
