Gurucan takes my courses on mobile

Kommentare: I was amazed how easy it is to publish my courses online with Gurucan. Almost zero technical learning curve and amazingly responsive support.

Vorteile:

I love that my students can use a dedicated mobile app to access my courses.

Nachteile:

I wish Gurucan had more integrations with other software I use and I would like the marketing automations to be more flexible with more triggers and actions.

Very promising software

Vorteile:

It is a very simple platform to use. It is well designed especially if you want to create a school or something more than a course. The function of the webinars is perhaps the reason that prompted me to purchase the product. It is a plus to be taken into consideration. The server is very fast and smooth, so far I haven't noticed any slowdowns. The app is well made and comfortable. It has the only flaw that courses cannot be purchased via the app. In the app you can only view the purchased courses. The extremely positive thing is that you can upload videos of several GB without problems and even longer than an hour. The rendering is slow, but then it flows smoother than on youtube. The assistance is truly excellent.

Nachteile:

Let's go to the painful notes. You can have the white label site. But you don't have control over it. For example, company data cannot be added to the footer. They have created a very simple site suitable for anyone, but sadly there is no customization option. Even in forms and emails I would prefer more HTML controls. They still did a great job, but being able to change the footer and above all be able to use HTML more efficiently is something that would please me. It also has payment restrictions. You can use stripe or paypal. I solved it by creating a new page with details for other payment types. Unfortunately, I cannot write this message in the part where the user sees the payment form. They are not serious flaws, but if they improve in these areas it would be a perfect platform.

New impressive player in the LMS field !

Kommentare: I need a mobile first LMS. Till late 2020, i was using Moodle web + the free Moodle mobile app. without being convinced (lack of features, useless complexity of architecture ...) i was trying LearnDash + AppPresser mobile app integration, when i saw Gurucan I created first a free trial account then i did buy a LifeTime Deal on Appsumo. I'm working right now on building my course I didn't try to publish my course online yet (not ready) but i tried the mobile app they provide as example I didn't try the marketing email feature cause i already have my own system based on Zapier + Gmass and/or Gmail and/or Inbox, with a great delivery score. I don't plan to use CRM feature neither cause i already use Hubspot .

Vorteile:

The course structure is simple and they provide many tiny features to add to the courses like challenge or offers. The whole system is much more clearer than Moodle and set up is quicker than with LearnDash You can propulse a full course in 1 hour if your video or audio material is already available. I didn't publish my course online yet so i have not been able to try the mobile vesion yet. but i tried the mobile version of one of the Fitness & Yoga course they provide as example : UX is good, content is loading smoothly, experience is great. can't wait to send my students from Moodle to Gurucan.

Nachteile:

I needed some time to get used to UX after years using Learndash and Moodle : for instance i found myself doing many useless back and forth between screens at the beginning. But After one hour i was 100% used to Gurucan I faced some tiny bugs there and there but i'm sure they will be corrected in the next weeks.

LOVE the wide space they gave to the content, more room for improvement

Vorteile:

I love the wide space that is given to the content and the sidebar. It looks very good when you view it and gives complete focus to the content. It's very straightforward to set up.

Nachteile:

This software holds a lot of promise, but the first thing I would love to see is scripts being allowed to be implemented. I'd love to insert in my own homework form, my own audio player, my own buttons, etc. I'm afraid I'm too picky for generic buttons or players, I want my course to look as seamless and beautiful as possible. The upload of the images seems to be a huge oversight, it expands across the whole page no matter what size it is initially, and I had to insert the HTML code of my images instead, hosted by my own site. The app isn't too useful for me, it's yet another app to download and I prefer that my clients just click a url and go. Additionally, the way the chapters and lessons are laid out could be better, I dislike the black overlay over the cover photos that is currently the unchangeable default, my course is colourful and I'd like to represent that in the cover photos.

Building toward something really great

Kommentare: My experience has overall been a positive one! My students like the user experience and I'm excited to be a newer user of the platform, and experience its growth in this market. There are missing elements, so whether this platform will make sense for my business long-term -- or for yours -- will depend on the specific features I need and where else I can get them.

Vorteile:

My students really like the mobile app, and that was an important feature for me -- I know that optional online professional development will likely have a higher take-up rate if a platform is readily accessible via mobile devices. Support is responsive and the Facebook group is helpful too.

Nachteile:

This is a newer platform, and there are issues and kinks to be worked out; some of them already have in the 3 months I've been a user. The main challenge for me has been learning the software. Some of the elements aren't intuitive and it's taken trial and error to figure things out. I think there's a lot of promise in this platform, but it's not delivering fully yet.

An affordable all-in-one Learning Management System

Kommentare: I can create courses intuitively and the results look nice.

Vorteile:

It provides a mobile app. This is a very important feature in today's LMS requirements.

Nachteile:

The UI for course admin is a bit clunky, but they said they would revamp the UI later this year. Besides, it's not essential.

Build your online course with ease

Kommentare: On overall, you still can create and sell your courses with ease at acceptable level.
You can do the job and get profit by selling your course now.
Guru can still be developing and new features are coming.

Vorteile:

Pioneer course app builder: - Simple & very easy to use. - Mobile app included. - Email marketing included.

Nachteile:

- Embed HTML in web app doesn’t work in mobile app such as embed HTML. - Lack of many features comparing to other apps such as Thinkific.

Great alternative to Teachable

Kommentare: We've been looking for a platform to manage hybrid online classes and revenue generation from educational products. Gurucan fits the bill well with reasonable pricing.

Vorteile:

The system covers a lot of functionality that I'd expect from an education monetisation platform and offers excellent value in comparison with the price offered by competitors.

Nachteile:

It will take some time for the system to reach its maturity. The interface is still a bit rough and the user experience needs streamlining.

Gurucan > Kajabi + Disciple

Kommentare: Very intuitive interface - works quickly and easily.

Vorteile:

It captures everything needed to build out a community for learning and knowledge sharing.

Nachteile:

There are some features like Webinars still in beta.

It works well and has pretty much everything needed for you to open an online school.

This product seems like it's still in the early stages. I'm sure that many of the features and I am missing will be soon implemented.

Finally, "Courses & App" affordable option!

Kommentare: I came across GuruCan very recently so I am using the platform just several days but the overall experience is quite remarkable. In this two-three days I've done a lot. I very much hope it will stay the same way in the future. 🙂

Vorteile:

I've been looking for courses, membership, payments, CRM platform for ages and tested and tried many. So far GuruCan is the most user friendly and easy to use one. The good thing is there is no compromise in functionality and/or features. I found everything what I need very quickly and it took me a couple of hours to set up my first course ready to go. I find it quite remarkable. The video lessons can be uploaded to the platform directly or hosted over Wistia (I have account there as well) or Vimeo. Quizzes, home assignments, dripping material can be added and set up effortlessly. Three more things I would like to highlight separately: the very responsive support (I checked it several times during my set up process resolving minor questions) , the possibility to have White Label option and an App. This last thing (having an App) on its own totally over-delivered the value I expected when I signed up with GuruCan.

Nachteile:

I am sure along the way I will discover something I would change or do not like but for the moment I do not have much to say . As for now I just experienced some small issue with the delay in decoding of my first uploaded videos. For several hours I had a message "video is decoding ...". After I address it to the support it was quickly resolved.

Highly recommend Gurucan for all your online course needs!

I love the fact that they are integrating webinars too. It's great to have all the services you need as an entrepreneur all in one. I'm enjoying Gurucan so far and would highly recommend to anyone to host their online courses.

Vorteile:

Gurucan is a great tool to host my online courses. It has a very attractive interface, it's very user friendly and has a lot of different options to use such as email marketing, different offers that you can bundle courses together, webinars, discussions quizzes etc. The customer service is fantastic with Gurucan also, I always have a lot of questions and they are never impatient when answering (even if something was in an article and I missed it!) Really like the ease of use when uploaded videos, adding attachments, homework as necessary and there is no limit to this which is great.

Nachteile:

Some cons are some of the missing features such as; limiting the uses of coupons so that people don't share them and avail of all the discounts. Another improvement to be made is arranging your courses on your home page (at the moment it just automatically populates). For example I would like to move my courses to show the cheapest first but don't have this option. Another vital change needed is the the modules of your course to show on left hand side or right hand side when in another lesson. I know from my experience and other students when going through the course you might want to skip the modules but at the moment on Gurucan you can't see the other modules when you're in a lesson. You also can't click previous lesson.

Easy, intuitive, integrated solution packed with features

Kommentare: I set up my first course within minutes. the platform is easy to use, walks you through the process, and the course looks great!
I've already recommended Gurucan to a few others!

Vorteile:

My courses, challenges, webinars, and membership are all in one place that can be accessed on a desktop or mobile device.

Nachteile:

I would like to see integration with Convertkit, but this is still early days, and I'm sure there are more integrations to come.

Gurucan Gives You Full-Featured Online Courses

Vorteile:

Lots of great things to like about this as they've packed this full of features. Things that stand out from other LMS platforms: - Group and one-on-one chats with students. They can be public or paid. - Mobile-focused. While others are focused on desktop, Gurucan is one that focuses on Mobile. - Blog area for me to put extra documents and any news to share - Email automation tools built-in

Nachteile:

Would like a bit more customization when it comes to the desktop UI/UX. The mobile focus is great, but also need a desktop version that is just as great.

Impressive, versatile e-learning software!

Kommentare: These guys have only worked on this for about a year. Their support response is fast and friendly and they are listening to their customers.

Vorteile:

I’m very impressed with all the versatile tools Gurucan has to offer. Once you get used to the logic for adding and formatting content, it is quite easy. Video upload is fast, and to my pleasant surprise, embedding videos from Alugha worked like a charm, as well as embedding from publit.io.

Nachteile:

The only one that did not work was embedding from Spotlightr videos, but that appears to be on the roadmap. Unlimited users/courses and possibility to get customer menus in any language in the future makes this a no brainer at this price.

The new platform for my students

Kommentare: Overall, I am more than satisfied with the many possibilities it offers.

Vorteile:

The product is very easy to use and configure, both administrator and student side.

Nachteile:

Especially in the beginning, it happened that the software did not save the correctly loaded videos. In subsequent updates this has been fixed and made functional.

It's not for me!

Kommentare: Different people like different things, so try it out for yourself and see if it works for you!

Vorteile:

I purchased Gurucan when they offered unlimited hosting, which was a hard-to-find feature at the time. I was also intrigued about their meal plans and challenges features, which I hadn't seen anywhere before. I am also a big fan of having email marketing built-in, making it easy to communicate with certain segments of learners.

Nachteile:

After several attempts of making use of this software, I am giving up, simply because the UI is so horrendous and confusing. Also, having owned Gurucan for nearly 18 months now, I do not recall any communication or updates from the creator. I don't know if they worked on this product at all in this time, as I haven't noticed any changes on the back-end, and couldn't find the changelog.

Kommentare: I like the layout and all the add-on features you would not expect to be included but are needed to run a successful online course.

The App was very easy to use without having to watch/read any tutorials. Everything seems to follow a very logical step by step system.

Nachteile:

None at this time. Compared to the other Apps in this space, I found this one very complete and easy to use.

Best all-in-one platform to create online courses

This is the perfect all-in-one platform to create online courses i found so far. Besides having s a ton of features that you just don't find in other services. 1. This probably is the only only course tool out that stands out in every aspect of online courses 2. The ability to send auto geerated emails, User management in the app, Mobile app with easy login is outstanding

Nachteile:

Would be better if this app has additional payment features (Indian) like Gpay etc...coz most of the people don't hold cards.

Perfect for a stand-alone membership platform for coachign clients

Kommentare: I used to host everything on Facebook, but after being accidentally locked out my account I needed a platform for my membership that is more independent, yet has the similar features of chat and e-learning features. Gurucan has everything I need plus I can create a knowledge base with the articles feature.

Vorteile:

My favourite feature is the mobile app, which means the trainings and challenges I take my clients through are easy to consume on the go.

Nachteile:

The only feature I wish they offered was private messages on a chat so I can offer one on one support discretely. But there may be a workaround I am not sure about yet.

Impressive & very versatile software

All in one learning platform

Vorteile:

It's an all in one learning platform, offering course creation, email marketing, landing pages, and even an app with push notifications. It's way more affordable than other solutions like Kajabi.

Nachteile:

It is a newer platform, which means the page building functionality is pretty limited. I look forward to seeing how they develop it in the future.

Made My Programme Delivery Simple

Kommentare: Its been great to use so far and hopefully the functionality will improve in the coming weeks and months to fix a few of the bugs.

Vorteile:

Using Gurucan has allowed me to easily deliver my coaching programme to my clients with the exercise.in between sessions. It is really easy to use for 'non techy' people like me.

Nachteile:

For me the platform would be improved if there was a greater ability to install more response boxes on the lessons where clients can answer and respond to the exercises. Many of my exercises require many different things to be responded to inside the exercises and the lessons only have one area for clients to respond which isn't ideal and results in many of my clients forgetting to respond or skipping over questions.

LMS Mobile App - Excited!

Kommentare: Getting a course created and launched quickly. A proof of concept lower cost offering. Then will be building from that level with more elaborate offerings.

Vorteile:

I recently purchased Gurucan and I'm super excited. I recently took a 7 week course through another organization that was all mobile app based with daily micro-lessons. It was an excellent way to learn in small chunks. I'm super excited to use this same approach with my content - and give my clients the ability to use the mobile and/or web app. Gurucan has a good LMS foundation now. With what the leadership has planned for its roadmap, there is bright future ahead.

Nachteile:

This is newer software. As such it has some rough edges in place. Fortunately, the rough edges for me right now are not in places that will cause issues. And by the time I will need them, the product roadmap has them forecast to be addressed.
