Kommentare: excellent overall and it really makes a huge difference on completing sensitive tasks remotely.

Vorteile:

the simplicity of logging into my desktop anywhere in the world for sensitive software that should remain on my desktop. Also the ability to send a control alt delete command remotely and to access my desktop via the app on my iphone. It also allows me to access both screens on my home pc by toggling left and right. I put in a request today but it is a very minor issue for me.

Nachteile:

I would like the abiility to fix the remote access to one of my two screens on my hope computer when I want to access remotely on my laptop using the software.

Great for logging into work computers from anywhere

Kommentare: We use it to remote into the computers at work and print orders. It's essential for doing what used to be really complicated.

Vorteile:

Gotomypc has never broken itself with new features that ruin the functionality. The website is a a bit complicated for what I want to do (simply connect to my device) but I've bookmarked the page where I connect.

Nachteile:

I can barely use it; only for 2 PC's since the price jumps from $792 to $1188/yr just to be able to connect to a third computer.

Past its prime

Kommentare: It enabled our users to access their computers remotely, but it is a very no frills experience and feels archaic compared to the competition while being sold for a similar price. It is clear that this is simply legacy software that GoTo offers to those that haven't thought to test the market.

Vorteile:

At the end of the day GoToMyPC will allow you to access a PC remotely, so it does accomplish what it sets out to do.

Nachteile:

I have tested and used various remote desktop software and GoToMyPC is probably the most basic and feature poor of them all. The entire thing feels like it hasn't been in active development in at least 10 years. Lacks the ability to open remote monitors in their own windows is a huge missing feature that any modern remote desktop software should be embarrassed to lack and was the number 1 complaint from my users.

The best for remote access

Kommentare: I've used quite a few other remote desktop programs, but for ease of use, and features, I haven't found anything as good as GoToMyPC. It has all the features that I need, such as remote printing, screen blanking and dual monitor support. I can also use it wherever I need, and don't have to worry about purchasing a bunch of licenses if I need to use different PC's to access my work computer.

Vorteile:

It's extremely reliable and easy to use. The fact that I can use it anywhere with any PC is exactly what I need.

Nachteile:

Occasionally, especially with software that converts to a PDF before printing, it can take longer than I would like for the print to start printing.

Retail - Point of Sale Support

Kommentare: GoToMyPC has been easy to use. With other remote software we have had trouble with remote printing and getting the print setting correct.

Vorteile:

We use GoToMyPC to remotely manage our retail store system. It makes it easy to login when the staff is having a problem with balancing the register or invoicing. We can login see the what they are doing & walk through the process with them. We also use it to update inventory.

Nachteile:

Cost. We are a small business & I wish they would have better pricing for small businesses.

Go to my PC is the best that I have tried

Vorteile:

The system is as quick as the computer systems that you are using. When I work remotely, it feels and acts like I am at my computer at work. I also appreciate printing from my remote loction as some systems don't allow for it or the system doesn't work well. The sizing and appearance of all the applications look and work well remotely as well. The system is also very easy to access and implement so I have no hesitation in utilizing it on a daily basis.

Nachteile:

I set the system for maximum speed and minimum graphics. If the requirements of the job included graphics, the system would work significantly slower. I can't compare, since I have not tried any of those applications on this or any other system. The price is also much higher than the competition, but it is worth it for what I need to accomplish.

For simple and easy-to-use access at home or on the road

Vorteile:

Ease of use and access. Very simple to login and be working from home or road

Nachteile:

Price. Probably based on security protocol, but we are a small business. Seems like prices are always made for the enterprise users and never the small businesses. Thus you have a break-even point where you pay for additional products for your employees or you pay for them to have remote access to work from home. The bigs don't have to worry about the per-unit cost of either of those options as much as small businesses do.

Useless crap

Kommentare: Horrible. No support. Yesterday's "degraded performance" debacle was the last straw.

Nachteile:

This product WAS useful. Years ago, before it was purchased by whomever... Between the down time and cost I wouldnt recommend this useless app to my dog.

Long time user... very satisfied!

Kommentare: I've been using it for years and it is reliable, safe and very affordable!

Vorteile:

Easy connection, just the same as if I were there.

Nachteile:

If the host computer reboots, I am unable to establish a connection.

Beware of billing practices - unethical

Kommentare: Billing is an issue - the product works fine, for the most part. We no longer needed it and have not used it in Months. I did not cancel in time and the auto renewal hit. I called them a week after it renewed to let them know I will not be using the service and they said I basically did not have a choice as the service will remain active for an entire year and they will not refund. Be leary!! If I did business this way, my company would not be in business. Take care of your clients and they take care of you. This is theft as far as I am concerned.

For the most part it works, used it for months

Nachteile:

Their billing practices are questionable as they give minimal notice for the annual billing and when you go to cancel after they have taken the funds, they will not refund you and tell you you are stuck with them for another year.

What are your work need

Kommentare: I have had virtually no problems with the program or support

Vorteile:

Easy to use. The price point is reasonable, especially I am a business of 1. The only times I have been unable to connect is when my building loses power.

Nachteile:

I can't think of any one particular reason at this time.

GoToMyPC is a huge asset to my work routine.

Kommentare: I have been using GoToMyPC for well over 10 years. I feel it is a great application. No matter where I am I can log into my desk PC and my 3 monitors just as if I am sitting in my office. As long as I have a basic internet connection in both locations I can work uninterrupted for hours if need be. I can be at home, at a client, the airport, at sea, anywhere. I can log in to my desk from my iPhone if I need to in a pinch. My 3 screens will be small but I can easily zoom in where I need to see. Jumping from screen to screen is easy. It is no difference than being at my desk except my busy office does not distract me. It’s a good option when I have an important project that I prefer to finish away from the office. Over the years it has been a huge asset for me and I would recommend it to any frequent computer user that can benefit from remote access to their office or home computer.

Vorteile:

Simple to use and log in. good support when needed which is infrequently. Reliable and consistent function. Only a basic wired or wireless connection is needed.

Nachteile:

Prices took a large jump few years ago, but they eventually dropped back down to a reasonable level. Discounts were offered to me by their sales team.

GoToMyPC is worth it

Kommentare: Excellent. Having the ability to work from anywhere allows me flexibility.

The flexibility to work from anywhere and access one central computer

Nachteile:

It hangs up sometimes. You cant use cut and paste from a remote computer...That is a bit annoying.

Why I love and Depend on GOTOMYPC

Kommentare: I have been using GoToMyPC for many years and could not perform my work without it. It is reliable, functional, easy to use and extraordinarily secure.

Vorteile:

Using GoToMyPC is like having my primary computer right there on another screen. I have been using GoToMyPC for many years now and completely depend upon it. It is secure, responsive, fast and easy to use. I like the easy file transfer capabilities and the convenient connection to my remote computers. I completely depend upon GoToMyPC and cannot imagine trying to work remotely without it.

Nachteile:

There is nothing I can say negatively regarding GoToMyPC.

Great for Remote Work

Excellent Product

Vorteile:

GoToMyPC is so easy to use and makes life and work easier on the days I need to work from home. I also trust the security features.

Nachteile:

I don't have any problems with this product. I think it is a good value for the cost.

25+ AND COUNTING

Kommentare: Have used gotomypc since about 1998. Have never had one major issue and when I did have a question or small issue it was promptly and professionally dealt with by a real person. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who has the need to remotely connect with his or her computer.

Vorteile:

Ease of Log-In and use. Ability to File Transfer. Ability to Remote Print.

Nachteile:

Annual cost is significantly higher then when first subscribed, but what is not?

Will Never Be Without It!

Kommentare: Often on the weekends, when our office is closed, our associates will need assistance with something, and GoToMyPC allows me to quickly log on and work just as if I was sitting at my desk! I can even send things to my printer and they will be sitting there when I arrive on Monday morning!

Vorteile:

LOVE that with GoToMyPC, I can work from anywhere, just as if I was sitting at my desk. I know most apps are available on line, but I love having access to my local files and downloads and even my printers!

Nachteile:

The only feature that I use a lot that is a bit cumbersome is switching from one screen to another. My work desk utilizes two monitors, and switching back and forth between them can be a bit awkward on my laptop ... especially (for instance) if my email is on one monitor and I want to get a document into a file that happens to be on the other screen. That drag and drop often takes me a couple of times to accomplish.

Worth every Penny!

Vorteile:

We have used GoToMyPC for over 10 years. It is reliable beyond compare and very easy to navigate. The support department has been rarely needed during this time, but when needed the support is excellent.

Nachteile:

It's a little pricey--we run several computers separately but it is ultimately worth the cost to never have a technical issue or problem working remotely.

Tried and True

Kommentare: Working from home is not a new thing but having access to the main office's accounting program after hours and on the weekend is a real time saver and improves our overall operation. We have been using this software for a long time, close to ten years, and it makes a difference. As Treasurer for a non-profit, I also used GoToMyPC and found it very useful, especially for big projects.

Vorteile:

GoToMyPC simplifies my work day and that of the main office. We can work on projects together and get quicker results. We have been using the program for close to ten years and it has made a big difference in productivity.

Nachteile:

We are a small company and it is not inexpensive.

Excellent Remote Access Application

Kommentare: We have been using gotomypc for years and have enjoyed it's ease of use and in that time have had minimal outages. I would recommend this application to anyone that needs to work remotely.

We really haven't had any negative experiences with gotomypc. I would have to say the cost increase.

Saves me time !

I feel that my data is secure and it allows me to work at home all hours of the day and avoid leaving the house when the weather is bad

Nachteile:

The cost seems high for the number of times I log in. It could possibly benefit me if there was a 'per use" cost to explore

I love being able to access our main office desktop from anywhere in the world. It means that we can keep all business related work and programmes on the office computer so there is no confidential material on laptops and if, as has happened, there is a problem with a remote laptop it can be wiped/rebooted without any effect on the main office workstation
